Validated: Yet, APC is afraid of FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. If APC and Tinubu trust themselves, allow E-Transmission of results. Better still allow Nigerians to express themselves freely. Tinubu will be gone by 2.00PM. In any case, we Nigerians have vowed to protect our votes, let's see that useless RO that will dare to say she/he cannot transmit results from the polling unit. The people will do the needful. Do you really understand what is meant by e-transmission? |

Validated: True, if Atiku cannot stop Fintiri with the House of Assemblly, he should just retire from politics.
In the same vein, if Tinubu is afraid of E-Transmission having gotten 30 states, SHAME ON HIM. This is no real-time transmission anywhere in the world. |

Obiedun: I still wonder why ADC and Atiku himself are not able to draw any governor to their party. With a the influence of Atiku his state governor cannot follow him even his own child too. Does it mean that all these PDP governor are being used as moles in APC. But then Tinubu is not a novice in politics. He cannot just be deceived like that. I can see that politicians have no trust in Atiku. How about Obi? His state governor couldn't follow him. No senator. Nawaaoo. |

VERY BIG HYPOCRITE AND A DISGRACED MAN RULING A DISGRACED COUNTRY.
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😗 Did Tinubu withstand OBJ? Yes. Why can't the present opposition withstand him. Did Tinubu jump from party to party? No. He stayed, built and protected his party. Why can't the present opposition do same? Did Tinubu engineer a coalition? No. A coalition is an assemblage of people that are frustrated out of their parties. Tinubu engineered a merger of political parties. It has never been done in Nigeria before. He spent his money, time and sacrificed his personal ambition to build a formidable party. Why can't the present opposition do the same? Since the day Tinubu's party gained power opposition died. Opposition requires patience, sacrifice, sound ability to mobilize people. For 16 years Tinubu was in opposition he didn't jump to another party. He was busy building at the background. All the major characters in opposition are in a hurry and looking for easy way to power. |

Richtaiwo: This makes absolutely no sense to me, unless there’s some secret dictionary defining what I just read.
CBN deliberately slowing appreciation of the naira? For what exactly? It makes economic sense. A good currency is not supposed to have high oscillation. There should be stability. Movements within a range is acceptable but outside it unacceptable. For example exporters have done their planning with a range of exchange in mind. If there is sudden appreciation the importers might cancel their orders. All budgets in Nigeria are in naira. There are benchmark exchange rates used. Sudden appreciation will throw them off balance. We keep telling people that exchange rate management is not like they tell us to bring it down to #500 to $1. The good thing is that there is evidence of availability of dollar. If there is any event that will trigger high rates then CBN will pump in dollar to moderate it. This is managed floatation. The Nigerian economy is on the upward swing. I hope that politics will not waste all our sacrifices. |

Up till now ADC has not been telling us of what they will do differently. All that they do is attack and condemn. Is this the new Nigeria that they will give us? |

Nigeria can't hold a credible local government election.
Just create a simple biometric system that won't allow one fingerprint to vote twice, then put in place a system that collates and transmits voting results in real time.
As someone is pressing his thumb for party A, the decision is recorded on the machine and transmitted to a coalition centre where the results can be seen on a screen. If you have errors or network issues, what is your backup? Why do you talk of hard copy and soft copy? |

Business › Re: Pls, What Is The Rate Of This Korean Money I Found In A Cloth? by Vision101(m): 2:40am On Feb 25 |
Federalofficia: Economist in the house, please why is it that nigeria naira is better than some countries currency and some countries currency are way far low to dollars compared to Nigeria naira to dollars yet some of these countries economy are fine and are rate well better than Nigeria and some countries in africa We keep telling people that the value of a currency to the dollar doesn't determine the performance of the economy. There are fundamental things to consider. When you want to discourage imports it will pay you to have low value to the dollar so that imports will be expensive. An export oriented country will benefit more if their currency is low in value. Most Asian currencies have low value to the dollar. The Nigerian situation is because the only major export which is crude oil is priced in dollar and the price is determined internationally. In the days of so much petrodollar the government arbitrarily fixed the value high. This encouraged all manner of imports. Industries died because it was cheaper to import finished goods than to produce locally. As the petrodollar started reducing we couldn't defend the high rate. First we started borrowing to defend it. Secondly we started selling upfront to defend it. Funds that should be used for provision of infrastructure were used to defend the naira. We got to a dead end so we have to reverse the old order. Of course it will affect everything in the economy. We are going back to the Asian model. Devalue, make imports more expensive to discourage imports and encourage local production. Exporters will earn more. In time past I personally use foreign suits, shirts, perfume etc. They are too expensive now so I use locally produced ones. My shoes are still foreign but I manage them carefully because they are not cheap to buy. |

Tax law that started just in January? How would you conclude that it has not achieved what he wanted? Applaude good thing. This is killing a major corruption in nnpc. It's part of the economic reform. This is money meant for the entire federation but enjoyed in nnpc. The law empowers them to take 20% as management fee but they at the same time taking additional 30%. This has been on for years. During FAAC states have protested but nothing came of it. No president dare do this. PBAT has sound knowledge of the oil and gas industry. This will release more money to the federal, state and local governments. It's a masterstroke. NNPC is gradually being cleaned. Obi or Atiku can never know this. When your governors start constructing roads and provide facilities you should thank the person that made it easy for them. |
