PoliticsRe: Ibadan Explosion: Fayose Releases Documents, Insists FG Gave Makinde ₦50 Billion by Vision101(m): 4:21pm On Dec 28, 2025
AMINDA:
A request for disbursement is not tantamount to money being released, although I expect Tinubu's camp to lap it up. Wale Edun already told us the budget was largely unfunded with a lot of revenue shortfalls. If core capital projects from 2024 are still being carried over into 2026 with trillions owed to local contractors, are we to believe that the Tinubu government was magnanimous enough to release a 50 billion naira largesse to Seyi Makinde simply because it was requested for?
Are you Makinde's spokesman?

Fayose should use this opportunity to show documentary evidence of all the allocations he received as governor of Ekiti State and how he spent them. Only then can he be taken seriously over his infantile claims that Makinde received a N50 billion intervention fund from Tinubu.
Here we go again. An major issue has come, proofs are in the public domain. Let's see it to the end. In our style there will be distractions. Fayose has this proof, if you have any again against him bring it up.

We are too fund of why must you catch this thief after all there are many thieves. You can't catch all thieves at the same time.

A very daft interview from thuggar. He is fo.olishly trying to lay the blame back on America and NATO allies by blaming their last intervention in the sahel as the trigger that has caused insecurity here. No wonder the usual nairaland APC bots are waxing lyrical for the daft thing
Was it Libya that caused army to be supporting the terrorists to kidnap Christian farmers?
Or Libya caused them not round up the terrorists. Libya also caused the govt to sentence peope acting on self defence to death. Libya helped the lynching of Deborah. Libya helped herders attack farmers. This is a daft interview.
What you wrote here is very daft too. I will not educate you on the effects of balkanization of Gadarfi's government that resulted in heavy ammunition being in the wrong hands particularly Muslims and terrorists.

I have my doubts...

Why is Yusuf tuggar the minister of foreign affairs acting as intermediary between the US government and tinubu.

This kind of "joint operation" ought to have been a direct communication between president tinubu and the American president/military with the active collaboration and awareness of the Nigerian army.

Not the foreign affairs ministry or minister.

There is a comma somewhere in all of these!
You can add or minus the comma. Presidents or countries can choose their favoured channel of communication or protocol. When you become president choose yours.

For the first time in the history of Nigeria, Nigeria and Nigerians were bombed by a foreign country, this has shown that Nigerian government lead by tinubu and this APC theives has no business governing Nigeria. For a foreign country to bombard Nigeria, shows that Nigerian military under APC is incompetent, useless, corrupted and deceased. Nigeria is now in the league of Syria and co that foreign country will be bombing at will.
The multidimensional terrorism that is ravaging the entire Sahel region has never happened. They have been chased from the middle east all heading towards Nigeria. It's gorilla warfare. It's not country versus country war.

When Trump announced his decision to smoke the hell our christian killers you and the opposition rejoiced. Your expectation was that they will evade Nigeria, sack the government, install your darling as president and take over military operations of Nigeria. Through dialogue and diplomacy it ended in collaboration. You are not happy. You and the opposition are condemning it. The same people shouting Trump come ooo, Trump come ooo are now condemning the air strike. What a hateful opposition.

Nigerians should be ready for the biggest and disastrous protest in Africa come first January. Because we can't watch tinubu destroy the work of our past leaders.
Tax reforms to you means destruction of the work of our past leaders? Really? Back in the first Republic that everyone claims that they did very well there were taxes. Tax disappeared immediately we discovered oil. Governance became straight jack. Sell oil and money will be everywhere. Now oil contribution to our GDP is very low. Tax has to fill the gap. Experts agree that Nigeria's tax to GDP ratio is one of the lowest in the world. Which means that Nigerians are low tax payers.

For example people sell properties and securities regularly but very few know about CGT. People swim in massive inherited wealth but we don't hear of CTT. The good thing about tax is that the revenue generated is reflective of the level of activity in the economy. High economic activity high tax revenue.

What is needed from January 2026 is tax planning. While tax evasion is illegal, tax avoidance is legal. In planning your economic activity always consider the tax effect.

We used to hear how people go to jail because they evaded tax in the so called sane clime. Have we heard such in Nigeria? We are moving in that direction. PBAT is building a modern economy and not the old fashioned Nigerian economy of buying and selling.

Nigerians don't like paying tax. Again it's part of human nature. Very few like to part with anything. Generally people don't like taxation. That's why tax masters are hated. Remember the publicans in the Bible.

Maybe they should start with telling us what they expended all the revenue Nigeria generated for the past years. Quick to throw out numbers when it suits them.
As soon as oil was discovered Nigerians forgot about tax. It was easy life all the way. I remembered when I was a little child in the 60s in East Central state my father even in the village were paying tax. The tax collectors used to block the road to collect tax. The villagers were paying bicycle rate.

Remember this December they called for thanksgiving where members will bring or empty their purse.
Then we talk about tithe and offering
And unending seed sowing.

So i was excited to share to show love still exists in Christian communities.
You said that this was the first time you attended church in your life. How did you know what is practiced in Nigerian churches?

The whites are natural free givers. That's why they have lots of foundations. There are people that quietly fund the church heavily.

Stop condemning Nigerian churches from far. Attend some of big Nigerian churches as first timer and you would be amazed at the gift that you will receive.

I know a church in Abuja that shares trailer load of rice every quarter. We usually have super Sunday every quarter and there are always lots of items given out.

Later, Tinubu supporters will try to exonerate Tinubu from attempts to destroy the PDP and every other political party. Tinubu was involved from day one and it had his blessings. Why else would Makinde and Wike be meeting secretly with Tinubu in the presence of Gbajabiamila? Tinubu undemocratically schemed out Obi and Jonathan from contesting under LP and PDP while posturing as the "Southern candidate" when the South clearly did not vote him in 2023.

Sometimes you data boys keeps people wandering if you have any thinking faculty at all.

The petrol you're talking about, how much did he meet it? You can now say we were paying trillions in subsidy, ok he removed it, where is the money saved, have Nigerians been better off since then?

The no scarcity of petrol you talked about, is it about availability or affordability. How many people can go to the petrol station and fill their tanks. Come to think of it, the availability and price reduction is done by one man, Dangote. He is fighting a lone battle against Tinubu’s cabal who import petrol and create scarcity to shoot up prices. The availability is not government's own achievements.

You people and rice. You guys are clowns. Your Tinubu met that commodity at 7k/50kg. Increased it to over 100k due to his incompetence and bad policies. He now have it at dropped to 76k after flooding the market with imported rice from Thailand with borrowed foreign exchange and you want people to be in jubilation. Nigerians will take him serious when he brings it back to 7k per 50kg or lesser.

I want to bring to your notice incase you don't know, even that your 30k the government pay you will be taxed beginning from January. Forget all the blabbing about certain threshold that won't be taxed. I urge you to be ready because many of you will experience loosed trousers from your waist next year due to hunger.
Let me educate you: it's not everyone that makes intelligent comments along the line of economics is what you call data boys. This incompetent man will ground Nigeria and bring it to it's knees beginning few days from now. Nigeria cannot survive with this tax laws that's coming into effect soonest. Nigeria cannot also grow into prosperity by constantly borrowing to service debts and fund the lavish lifestyle of politicians and government officials.

Our eyes will soon clear. The choices a few people made, Mahmood, the judiciary, politicians, and tribal jingoists will soon yield fruits come January 2026. Shege pro max is awaiting everyone.
Contradictory statement.
1 Tinubu is building Nigeria the way he built Lagos. Question: Is Lagos not doing well? A state in Nigeria that is almost the fifth largest economy in Africa.

2. Lagos was the first state in Nigeria to go to the bonds market when Tinubu was governor. What is the effect today?

3. You call him the incompetent man. For a long time this is the first time Christmas without fuel queue. The direction of the price is looking south.

By this time last year you were bothering us with how much a bag of rice is as if life depends on rice alone. You are not talking this time.

Some two years ago it was bleak Christmas for civil servants. Some were owed over 24 months salary areas. This Christmas governors are paying 13th month salary to civil servants courtesy of the policies of the "incompetent" man. Ha ha ha.

I believe that the insertion of that 20% deposit on disputed assessment was done on purpose. Rice is at a reasonable price now. The foreign exchange rate has stabilized. State governments are paying 13th month salary unlike before when workers were owed several months areas.

The major challenge now is insecurity. Trust PBAT he will fix it.
