iceking4: Stop using emotions to think, sometimes be objective!...
You sack all Nigerian Engineers in a single day with the term "sabotage". The company cannot still explain the type of sabotage and how it involves all the Nigerian nations. Some of you make all this comments because of political affiliations. I have friends there with family that are greatly affected by this without even knowing the crime the committed. Some of them did not even join the union, but they were sacked.
"We cannot sabotage the refinery. We love the refinery. Some of us built it from the beginning. How can we sabotage what we built? It is not possible. We’ve been very committed, and we were doing everything to ensure the success of the plant for the good of all Nigerians." When I read that they have sacked all Nigerians and only Indians are running the refinery then I knew that they were lying. How many Indians that are in the refinery that only them can run it? Is Dangote not a profit oriented company? How can they prefer to spend more paying Indians if everything is right? Either they are more competent and loyal than the Nigerians sacked. Dangote has been battling the cabal so any trace of disloyalty will naturally not be tolerated. |

Kalulu44: Mehn! Can you guys hear yourself talk? First of all I am not denying that some people are naturally brilliant even without attending some schools. But how did you gain admission into those higher institutions without your results from primary and secondary schools you now attest you didn’t attend. That means you must have cut corners somehow somewhere. Then on Mr president case, he told everybody he attended both primary and secondary just that those schools can’t be verify until date. Imagine he said he attended a secondary school that wasn’t yet established when he said he attended them. So why won’t people think his CSU certificate maybe fake. Let me tell you the truth from my own point of view, I am not an investigative journalist nor have been to Chicago before. But from what we’re hearing since Mr president started his campaign till becoming president, the rumors are too humongous to ignore. You rmbr how Reno Omokri stood his ground about everything he said about Mr President and even challenged him to sue him if he’s lying. Just that the Reno has been bought over not that he fact checked anything. So all this rumors will make many laymen like we believe otherwise . Have a nice day No corners were cut. I got inspired by a friend that attended secondary school but with division three results. He was always writing GCE every year. I bought those books that he kept reading including the almighty mathematics. Laid hand on some correspondence study materials. Battled with them for one year and registered for GCE and that was it. My last formal school then was primary school. My friend that inspired me was still struggling to make his papers and I was through at first attempt. I attempted "A" Levels twice and I was ok. I had a friend that got a job as a cleaner in a bank with primary school certificate but ended up upgrading to ACIB and MBA. So Bola Tinubu could be in this class. He looks it. |

Kalulu44: Leave that cloning matter, I was among those who blasted the mugu dem for believing such. . But in this case it seems you don't get it. I said he used someone else certificate bearing his same named. and what makes you think he can't have some knowledge of accounting even when using someone else's cert. The case of the recent resign minister of science and technology. They said he didn't attend the school or forge the certificate. But wasn't he performing his duty as such. Now let's agree President Tinubu has the original certificate. Now what about his primary and secondary school certificate or the known schools he attended in Nigeria before going to Chicago. Why is that shrouded in secrecy Not a big deal. I didn't attend secondary school but I'm a chartered accountant and I have a higher degree. I have one or two friends that retired as senior bankers. They are members of CIBN and some have MBA but they didn't attend secondary school. You see.... a determined brilliant person can achieve anything. What others spent five years in secondary school and found difficult were achieved by us in one year through burying our heads in books. There is no way Tinubu would have done well in a multinational private company at a high level without sound training. The Minister's case is public office. Empty people can be covered there. |

Kalulu44: Yes the certificate is genuine but own by another lady also called Bola Tinubu. He bought it if you must know. Show proof. You wouldn't have worked in a multinational company to a high level and performed excellently with issues like this. I hope you know what exonmobil is. If he didn't earn the certificate how did he get the knowledge that enabled him to perform?People should stop being naive. When I knew that a lot of our people including educated people have lost it was when they believed that a president can be dead, cloned and the cloned entity ruled a nation for years without his ministers, governors, legislatures, judges, embassies and international community raising issues. Back to the issue that you raised: after Atiku and opposition efforts the school and the US courts attested that Tinubu attended the school and graduated accordingly. This is public knowledge. |

What he said is nothing but the truth. Why demolish it when you can just seal up the place and ask them to regularize their documents before it can be opened?
APC won't be in power forever; I just hope most of the clowns will be alive to witness a new government, and they will follow the footsteps you guys have already started.
Don't cry that time because nobody will come to your rescue. See my brother I'm an igbo and a landlord in Lagos. God helping me I'll like to build more. In Lagos it's not about land and it's not about building but it's about documentation backing up them. Lawyers will tell you that what makes you owner of a property is your document. In Lagos to obtain full approvals to erect a building is a project of its own. It's rigorous and expensive. Most people particularly my people will not like to go through this route. The traders like to cut corners. This is what obtains in Aba. The traders union is a powerful one. I'm pretty sure that if they have the documents and they feel that they are being treated unfairly they would have headed to court. It's a contradiction to preach that a new Nigeria is possible and the same person is encouraging lawlessness. Let people learn to do the right thing no matter how difficult it might be. When Fashola wanted to start the new Lagos Badagri expressway it was then that I knew that there are so many buildings without documentation in Lagos. So many were marked. The government gave a long time for filing of claims with genuine documents. Majority failed the test and they were pulled down from national theater to Okoko. Let's do the right thing. |

What is happening is that since the inception of civilian rule in 1999 Abia has been having terrible governors. So the little efforts of Oti are judged against his predecessors. SmartPolician: We know when Boko Haram announced Buhari as their negotiator. We are all alive in this same country at the time. The problem of Jonathan is that he lacks the guts to make tough calls. That's why he didn't invite the ICC to pick up Buhari when he said that the streets would be soaked with the blood of baboon after losing the 2011 election which resulted in the deaths of many southerners in the north, especially corps members.
Had I been the president, that was exactly what I would've done! Let heavens fall! If the ICC picked Buhari up that time, he would be too busy thinking of challenging Jonathan in 2015, and Nigeria wouldn't be in this economic mess. Jonathan should go and rest. He's too weak to lead Nigeria. So you that want to be president think you can invite ICC and they will come pick Buhari. Is this your understanding of how ICC works Mr President-to-be? Thank God for faceless forum. |

It's simple, Nigerian capitalists are very wicked!
Have you seen anybody working in any dangote's company having enough savings to build a house or really living large like other staff working in international corporations like MTN, IOCs ?
their CEOs are not even half as much wealthy as dangote
He simply thrives on slave labor. And he's not alone in this many small and medium scale businesses are like that too Check out majority of Nigerian owned companies they treat their employees poorly. The banks are inclusive. Dangote issue became a national and labour issue because it's a refinery. There has been so many interests against the company. Have you heard this type of interest before now concerning other Dangote companies? It's all about oil interest. Can you see why our refineries and power facilities are not working? Politics › Re: Tinubu's Aide, Bayo Onanuga, Welcomes Jonathan To 2027 Race by Vision101(m): 9:55am On Oct 02, 2025 |
Ofunaofu: It’s amusing how Tinubu’s defenders suddenly discover the value of context when it comes to explaining away today’s failures. You want us to compare what Jonathan inherited and what he left behind? Fine let’s do that. But we’ll also apply the same standard to Tinubu, fairly and squarely.
Jonathan inherited a country not reeling from eight years of economic vandalism. Tinubu, on the other hand, inherited his own party's legacy, the APC, a wreckage built by Buhari, whom he defended and propped up for two terms. That’s not inheritance, that’s continuity. He said himself that he will continue from where Buhari stopped
And what has he done with that “continuity”? In just over two years, he’s overseen record inflation, unchecked naira collapse, fuel and electricity hikes, spiraling poverty and insecurity etc, infact, the worst cost-of-living crisis in decades
Yet somehow, we’re supposed to excuse all this because of what he met on ground?
No one said Jonathan was perfect. But if that was “dismal,” then Tinubu is economic arson In my reaction to your first comment I had taken you on the issue of comparison of Jonathan's six years rule and Tinubu's two years rule. I took you on and asked you not to bring Buhari factor hence we didn't bring OBJ's. Hence you are interested in wholesale comparison of pdp's 16 years rule, I will say let's go: 1 What did PDP inherit from the military - economy, security, industries and national perception? 2 What was the disposition of the international community to help Nigeria as a new democracy - economy, security, social etc? 3 How did they use these to rebuild Nigeria and set her up for future sustainable growth? 4 What was the level of earnings from oil for this duration? 5 What was the electricity situation? 6 Two of the highest source of corruption and investment killer in this nation were subsidy - petroleum products and fx - what did PDP do? 7 Put all the above together and wait till APC completes 16 years then you can do an honest and unbiased comparison. If you want to compare the end of a man you must consider his beginning and all his circumstances. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu's Aide, Bayo Onanuga, Welcomes Jonathan To 2027 Race by Vision101(m): 1:39pm On Sep 30, 2025 |
Ofunaofu: Wonders.
Imagine the Tinubu administration referring to the Goodluck Jonathan regime "his dismal record in office" as though that still defines our collective memory.
If Tinubu could describe Jonathan’s performance in office as dismal, then, considering what his own administration has turned out to be, there’s hardly an adjective strong enough to capture the catastrophe it has become. Compare what Jonathan inherited, what he earned and what he left behind after six years with what PBAT inherited, earned and what Nigerian economy has become in 28 months. Don't forget to look at the prospects. Don't bring the usual statement of Tinubu brought Buhari. We didn't mention OBJ and Yaradua. |

PENGASSAN is simply a workers Union just like any other Union. It doesn't have power to build refineries. Nobody is asking PENGASEN to build refinery. None was functioning before now. Unfortunately you keep blind eye to the evil because it's not your concern. At the same time showing ignorance of the law that protects workers rights to join any Union of their choice. With this development will other private investors be encouraged to invest in Nigeria? If they do not invest were will the jobs come from? Will pengasen have anybody to join their union? Where has pengasen been all these years that what Nigeria was doing was importation of petroleum products? Would it have been better for Dangote to site his refinery in Togo, buy crude from Nigeria, refine and send to Nigeria? Two weeks ago or there about it was NUPENG and now it's PENGASEN. Is it not a clear sign that oil cabal and political enemies of Nigeria are at work? The refinery is the biggest manufacturing outfit in this country, see how we are treating it. |
