I have first hand knowledge how so many people ripped this country off through fx using form A and CX because of the padding of the exchange rate. Fuel subsidy and use of fuel equalization for products going up north produced overnight millionaires. Because of overvalued currency. Nigeria became a country of import and consume.

Every Nigerian including myself lived fake life. We behaved as if we are rich. An ordinary salary earner will have more than two cars, his house will have full AC, his light is always on.

We were sliding. The first major alarm was raised by Okonjo-Iwuala. Federal government was printing money to pay salaries. State governments were owing salaries.

Our leaders knew the truth but were afraid. PBAT dared. Every regime that is doing what he is doing will always be unpopular. We ate our today yesterday.
