Sheuns: So what do we call him leaving AD for the newly “formed” party? He left where he was and formed another party. This would have been defection as used in Nigerian politics if the new party was formed by others and he left his existing party to join them. If Obi had left PDP and formed LP, this wouldn't have been defection. But Obi defected to LP that was formed and ran by others to enjoy the benefits in LP which he couldn't get in PDP. Are you ok? |

Sheuns: Lies. AD is not AC/ACN and never changed to AC/ACN.
Tinubu left AD almost at the end on his tenure alongside disgruntled AD members including Bisi Akande when they had leadership tussles and formed AC which metamorphosed into ACN.
AD exists to this day and has its national chairman. The key word "formed" and not "defecting" to an existing party. Ditto for Buhari. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Wins With Resolution Of IMF Debt by Vision101(m): 7:47pm On May 10, 2025 |
I have said it and I will continue to say it: I don't belong to any party. I am not too interested in politics. The best that we could get between PBAT, Atiku and Obi when it comes to political economy is PBAT. While Atiku and Obi will look for initial garagara to earn popularity and mass acceptance that will make our future worse PBAT will look at the future and take hard and unpopular decisions. That was what he did concerning Lagos.
If there is a time Nigeria needs a leader like PBAT, it's now. Someone who can take hard and unpopular decisions to realign the foundation of the political economy of this nation. If PBAT finishes eight years and gets the right disciple to succeed him then the world will see a new Nigeria. Those that are used to the norm will definitely not like this regime. But the schooled neutrals will tell you that we are on the right path.
I'm not an agbado. I'm a pastor, trained in finance, from the south east but lived all my life in Lagos. Some of the hands in this government I have worked under them. A lot of brilliant Lagos boys (from all tribes) are behind this government. Pat Utomi is behind the scene advising this government. I will be highly disappointed if PBAT fails. |

Acidosis: TikTok is not the problem. Nigerians are not the only people on TikTok.
The issue is that there is no incentive for these students to study hard. When the head is rotten, you cannot blame the feet. These students see their parents, who passed JAMB, struggle to pay school fees. They also see complete dullards who struggle with the English language become governors. They observe nonentities and road traffic thugs command more respect and honor than their teachers and professors.
They see total dullards and criminals with nearly empty heads rise from nothing to Aso Rock, while their parents wey carry book for head struggle to provide basic things like egg and milk.
Teach and sweat all you want; nothing will change until your professors stop rigging elections for vagabonds who forge certificates and cannot construct proper sentences. Your leaders must model the society they want through their own conduct. All that 'do as I say' nonsense belongs to the 16th century. These are no excuses. If they believe that education has no meaning why are they in school? |

this is the oath tinubu swore on may 29, 2023. can you pls tell me how tinubu has delivered on this oath and kept to the oath he swore? Oga calm down. Politics is not law and law is not politics. PBAT agreed with Wike on what he will get if he performs. Wike delivered and PBAT delivered. Both parties are happy and are ready to do it again. Through PBAT's reforms even though there is hardship associated with it the subnationals have enough money to run their governments. Salaries are regularly paid. Nigeria has become major construction sites. Haven't you heard Oti, Soludo etc commend his reforms. If you are a PDP or LP governor would you like Atiku or Obi to come and scatter things for you so that you will not have money to run your government. Think....think...man think. |

Oga Fergie001, what is going on my brother? Go and study politics 101. Some expo..... other parties are worthless. Other likely presidential candidates cannot win election because they are not organized forget about the social media noise. Everyone is beginning to see that PBAT's reforms are real and are headed in the right direction. If he wins re-election and drives the reforms for eight years he might end up being one of the greatest presidents from this nation. PBAT has a track record of delivering whatever you agree with him eg. Wike. kingsways: If you compare the situation today with that of 2012, there was absolutely no need to protest
The so-called protesters, where are they now. Are they all dead? That’s the question Obi asked, a valid question You can't compare apple and oranges. During Jonathan's time OBJ had paid off many of the debts so debt servicing was low. The price of crude oil was high. The reserves were high. These two helped him to subsidize petroleum products and fx. He didn't inherit backlog of unpaid obligations. The subnationals were not broke to the extent of owing months of salaries. He didn't invest in infrastructure. Without having the future in mind what then did he need the increase for. Back to the present situation, all the above adverse conditions were obtainable when this regime took over. Without removal of subsidy on FX and petroleum products Nigeria would have been totally grounded by now. The country is afloat today and meeting her obligations at subnational, federal as well as internationally because of the subsidy removal. So why should you protest now and refuse to protest then? Most likely your answer will be hardship. The present hardship is caused by past leaders reluctance to take the decision that is taken today when the pain would have been less because they didn't want to be unpopular. |

They should just allow him see out his remaining years in power. Buhari should be blamed in all of this, you know how greedy and corrupt tinubu is yet because of your indifference to your party activities, you allowed a dictator from Lagos to corner the rest of the country to his pocket
How else do you explain the fate of the opposition parties in Nigeria today. It's bizarre
But let it be on record that a precedent has been set by a Yoruba president. I just hope when another person from another tribe takes the mantle,I don't want to see those fake pastors and fake professors from the south west speak again. Is it the duty of the president to fix opposition parties? Didn't Jonathan do everything to ensure APC was not registered? Opposition should fix themselves. In any contest the opposing teams will like to be stronger while doing everything to ensure that their opponents are weaker. Obi and Atiku are SPV users and not organisers. festacman: Looking obvious that President Tinubu had since formed an alliance with Gov. Soludo/APGA as evident by his deliberate overlooking of Anambra State APC to appoint Bianca Ojukwu, Mark Okoye jnr, etc of APGA into key governmental positions.
By implication, Gov. Soludo is hoping, believing and trusting that by this alliance, APC will not rig him out in next Anambra State governorship election.
Perhaps, it is most likely that Tinubu also believes that an incumbent governor Soludo will guarantee 25% in 2027 than an imposed APC governor.
We keep watching. Empty permutations.....Soludo is too polished to play tribal politics. He likes PBAT's quality and PBAT likes his quality. Generally many of the technocrats in politics love PBAT. Check some of them...Pat Utomi, Rewane, Soludo, elrufai, Oti etc. |
