4 If we vote you in would you cancel the tax reforms and Nigeria will be better?
5 If we vote you in would you bring back the price of a bag of rice to #8,000?
6 If we vote you in would you cancel the students loans scheme and Nigerians will be happier?
7 If we vote you in would you improve the pace of infrastructure provision in two years better than what this regime is doing now?
8 If we vote you in would you give a higher GDP rate than what this regime is giving us?
9 If we vote you in would you in all honesty give us a better security than what we have now?
10 If we vote you in would you honestly promise that your regime will not borrow?
11 If we vote you in would you promise that there would be zero corruption?

Sign a bond with us that you would be tied to stakes and we stone you to death if you fail to deliver all of these.

PITA - personal income tax act has been in existence. Once in a while minor amendments are done to give effective to changes in rates and allowances. No radical overhaul was done by Jonathan.

PPTA - petroleum profit tax act. Has always been in existence. It is the basis on which companies in petroleum operations are taxed. No major overhaul was done in 2004 but usual minor amendments.

This is a public forum and people from diverse background come here. We must be very careful of what we submit.

Never in Nigerian tax history has there been any major and comprehensive tax reform of this nature undertaking. Please feel free to correct me with facts.

During the time of former president Obasanjo, Nigeria was turning into a one party state, the PDP under the tutelage of the former president used every means to frustrate the collapse of opposition parties, one of the parties was the Alliance for democracy (AD).

Then governor Tinubu fought tooth and nail to escape the unjust stranglehold of the PDP under former president Obasanjo, we all admired him for putting up a good fight against such undemocratic injustices.

Today, President Tinubu is practicing the same ideology he fought against, alas all Nigerian politicians are the same after all.
