Racoon: These are the useless fellas that wants to build a trillion naira economy who rather have ended up wrecking a thriving economy from $494.31 billion in 2015 to $188.27 billion in 2025 over a 10 years gap.
Even SA seating atop today is still finding it to beat Nigeria's record of old though they have diversify their economy. Meanwhile, it is the irony back here. APC shrank not only the economy, but as well as the people living in Nigeria. No hazzle. The Nigerian position changed as a result of devaluation. When you devalue all your figures come down in the short term. It doesn't affect your capacity. When the gains start rolling in you take back and surpass your position. For example let president Trump's madness run for one year and you will see those positions change. For Nigeria we have prepared ourselves for external shocks ahead of the present events. Where would we have gotten the money to subsidize the petroleum products and exchange rate with reduced income coming from oil if we had continued the old order? |

kettykings: This was very direct and blunt. Let's see if Onanuga will open his mouth and yap at Atiku to “watch his mouth,” or if he’ll slither back into his usual role as the spineless chameleon, licking the boots of convenience. The main issue with Atiku is that he has no evidence of performance in politics. He was not a state governor. As VP he failed woefully in economic management. All the entities he privatized are worse. I wish it will be possible for Atiku to rule for just six months it would have been interesting to see what all these chochocho will result to. |

Every governor in Nigeria today irrespective of party ought to be pleased with PBAT. They have never had it so good. So much money at their disposal. Even after stealing (yes all of them including Oti) they will still have enough and embark on projects. The stress of owing months of salaries, arears of pensions and contractors are gone courtesy of PBAT reforms. They want him to continue this for another four years even that Bala. Bobloco: Wike is describing Peter Obi as a "social media candidate" the same Peter Obi who defeated the so-called Lagos blueprint builder in his own backyard, beating him blue-black like a common criminal, securing over six million votes nationwide in the last general elections, and who is currently the biggest political figure in Nigeria with a massive, organic followers.
Wike must be intoxicated probably from gulping forty-year-old whiskey when he made that statement. In fact, if I may borrow the words of Chidi Odinkalu, Wike has consumed a lot of deadly alcohol again Leave 2023. What worked for Obi was element of surprise. BAT didn't take him serious because he was considered a featherweight. More attention was paid on Atiku. Besides BAT fought many odds - president Buhari, APC structure, naira redesign, the economy, OBJ etc. Upon all these he came up tops. Wike is trying to be a political student of PBAT. In 2027 should Obi attempt to come out alone he will be properly taken care of. That's why he's going up and down looking for coalition. |

You can't detach the past from the present. He said that it was 2000 during the military and it took 40 years to add another 2000. Is this not alarming? Less than 2 years 1,800 has been added. Shouldn't we applaud this? If this continues it means that in four years we will add almost 4,000. If past governments have been adding 4,000 every four years would we be where we are now? Coalition has never been successful in Nigerian political history. Nothing permanently binds members. Their original political parties will still exist. Should things go south they will go back to their parties. If a former presidential candidate joins a coalition will he carry along all legislatures both national and subnational, state governors etc of his party? This will not be possible.
Merger is the only workable option. In Nigerian political history it had only happened once fully masterminded and funded by the great political juggernaut BAT. It takes a lot of efforts and costs. There must be a lot of give and take. Each party must bring something on the table. In this case the arrow heads must be in full control of the parties merging.
Now tell me...Obi doesn't control labour party. Atiku doesn't control PDP. Elrufai doesn't control APC. How will the merger be possible? Abeggy let them stop disturbing us. |

It is high time we started pushing self-sustenance too and started to prepared for days as these that may come in future. The US still feels it's all about them and believe China is far lesser than them but China has in fact grown so much in recent times. It will be a no-winner, no-vanquished fight. China saw it coming and started preparing ahead for it and today we are here.... Any attempt to produce and reduce importation which usually comes with temporary hardship is resisted by our people. We have gotten used to easy life. Just import and sell. Subsidize the exchange rate so that imports will be cheap. We forget that a day like this may come. |

Thank God i asked you to talk. You would have hidden all that ignorance behind "sarcasm" Hahaha .... what started this whole conversation was that you talked about the budget being balanced and I asked the question: was the budget balanced from the beginning and you replied with insult which was uncalled for. I know that any budget can either be balanced, deficit or surplus each done with national objectives in mind. Nigeria had balanced budgets some years back. I'm very sure because of the tone of your writing that you don't know where government press is on Broad Street, Lagos.
