Namaster: This is the DUMBEST man that ever dumbed!
He's a US Citizen with a US Passport and he's BITCHING about NOT getting a Nigerian Passport.
Absolute MADNESS!
For context, the US Passport can travel to 186 countries in the world WITHOUT Visa. The Nigerian Passport can only travel to 44, mostly African, countries WITHOUT Visa.
Owning a US Passport and still bitching about not getting a Nigerian passport is like standing in a SPRING of sparkling water and still begging for PUREWATER.
It's MADNESS! That's for you. The man has his reasons. |

If the loans are well utilized, they can be debt-free before countries that are not even on the top 10 list The narrative is changing. If we were number one on that list it would have been another narrative. Nigerians eeh. |

mrvitalis: One thing I have always said is if I ever decide to be governor or president Economics would be made compulsory in all schools from SS1 to university 200 level...
Volume of debt or size of debt is not an issue Ability to repay is the issue
Someone can owe 2 million and be worse than someone who owe 10 billion
In nigeria the issue we talk about is our revenue to debt servicing is too high..
We need to increase revenue, sadly the only way to do that is to borrow more but use it for what would generate revenue or ability to pay back the loan
So borrowing and using it to build road, bridge, rails, and the reat feel good projects is foolishness... Very big foolishness
And that's what APC have been doing since How will your economy run efficiently without good infrastructure? Provision of infrastructure and enabling environment is the function of government but building industries and commercial entities is private sector function. |

Politics › Re: FG’s Deficit Hits ₦12.95 Trillion, Exceeds Budgeted Target By 41% by Vision101(m): 10:45pm On Apr 02, 2025 |
bigpicture001: What budget deficit means is this...
You plan your earnings, u plan your expenses... As the year goes on... You achieve your earnings, but your expenses is now so larger than what u plan... Now the expenses is bigger than your originally planned expenses... And then u needed to borrow to make up your activities....
Dat difference between your originally planned expenses and your real expenses is the deficit. ... So when the expenses difference is large , we say we have large deficit, when it is low we say we have low deficit.. and when your planned expenses is equal to ur planned revenue... The we say the budget is balanced ..
So in this case.. tinubu's govt is reckless with expenses... They hardly stick to the books... I agree with all your explanations but a deficit does not come only through reckless expenditure. At budgeting point if you want to expand your economy particularly where your income is low you will deliberately budget more expenditure than your income and borrow to fill the gap. All experts have been shouting that one major problem of the Nigerian economy is low income. That's why this regime is focused on expanding our income base. The ordinary persons will not understand this. |

Same bat that said pms price at N145 was too high?
Anyway, some people will always find a way to justify incompetence. What you see in government is different from what you see outside government. The man on the saddle if he has balls should carry out what he believes is right. When he said all these that you mentioned did he stop the man on the saddle from carrying out his reforms if he is sure of what he wanted to do. Obi and Atiku have been opposing PBAT policies but it didn't stop him from carrying out his reforms. That's the hallmark of a great leader. Do what you believe in no matter the nay Sayers. |

ivandragon: What is the glory or pride in being a leader when your main legacy is impoverishing the people you are meant to lead?
How can someone who lied and used deceit to get power be worthy of praise?
How can someone with a dubious history shrouded in mystery that involved drug dealing and lies be a role model?
How can someone who isulates himself from the devastating consequences of his rule while telling those he rules over to endure, be a good leader?
At the national level, bat is a terrible leader. You are suffering today because what PBAT did in two years past regimes ought to have done them when the economy was flourishing and the pains would have been much less but they lacked guts both civilian and military because of the possible backlash. PBAT dared. |

Politics › Re: Nigeria’s GDP Growth In 2024 (Picture) by Vision101(m): 12:40am On Apr 02, 2025 |
Goldeno:
Well GDP is not a sign of better well being, it just a measure of how much people are willing to pay for things. So the more expensive things get the higher the GDP. It doesn't reflect the well being of the society.
Say for example you use to buy 3 oranges for N50 and now its N100, then the GDP grows.
Once opon a tin in your village/community when are stressed you can take walk to the river/beach but now a rich man has Boughy and fenced the place so you have to pay, the GDP increases.
GDP increase in the matter of fact means reduced comfort for the people. Because it means you're paying for things you normally don't pay for and paying more for things you used to pay for. GDP is a measure of the productivity of an economy. What all that you pointed out here meant is inflation rate. Sometimes people should hide ignorance in faceless forums. |

Clobisman: Kenya overtook nigeria because most nigerians can't even afford to buy the second hand clothes, infact the primary need of more than half of nigeria population is how to eat atleast a meal for a day and not about clothes as long as there are old clothes he can wash and wear. So Nigerians eat and go naked? Kenyans have a better standard of living and they opt for used clothes? Review your comment and humbly ask us to tell you what caused the drop for Nigeria. Earthstorms: You are assuming that the source is illegal.
The man might just be scared of declaring such amount of money to Nigerian officials.
He can be followed and killed to steal that money from him. It has happened before where police killed someone just to steal the money they found in his car. If such money is legit he will wire it through the bank. He doesn't want to be tracked. |

Juoflife1: I don't understand this. Will someone be arrested if they declare huge amount of money? He should have told them he's been living in the US for a long time and saved his money in cash. Is that a crime? You must document your source which will be verified. No man that earns legit money will bring in $299k cash. Even the country of origin will not allow it. This is illegal money and the man is aware. |
Crime › Re: Businessman Arraigned For Failing To Declare $299,000 Collapses In Court by Vision101(m): 5:21am On Mar 28, 2025 |
Earthstorms: These efcc people are not serious.
So a man brings in 299,000 USD,
You counted the 299,000 USD and found out that 250 USD out of 299,000 USD is fake.
If a man want to bring in fake currency, will he bring in only 250 USD as fake out of a total of 299,000 USD?
They simply counted the money the man brought in and picked out 5 pieces as fake just to find something to charge the man with.
Bringing foreign currency into the country should not be criminalized, the penalty for such should be made clear, either a fine or forfeiture of the fund is adequate.
Just because a man did not declare his own money should not be reason to want to jail a man, it is not like the man is taking the money out of the country. Story.... it's like this all over the world. If you are bringing in any amount in cash that is more than $10k you must declare it so that you can be interrogated on the source of the money and your reason for bringing such amount in cash. The man knows that the source of the money is illegal that is why he hid it. |
