Salewa97: Governor Fubara is a man of integrity.
His actions will speak for him in the long run. Man of integrity that accepted gifts from the devil but refused to serve the devil? A true man of integrity will neither accept nor serve. |

chuose2: Ignore that drug baron.
When there was chaos at lekki gate, did they replace the governor?
when speaker of house of assembly and ex-speaker of house of assembly dey fight, did they replace the governor? Did any of these affect governance in Lagos state? Lekki gate issue was nation-wide issue. Lagos State House of Assembly issue was a localized issue between the members. No effect on the executive and no effect on the state. What is the basis for your comparison if not to wipe up sentiment. |

Some things that are going for PBAT are: he's bold, does his politics very well, smart (he's aware that if he had subjected it to debate before proclamation politics will derail it. The same strategy he used to remove fuel subsidy and subsidy on fx). So he goes by consulting the various constituencies, get their support and assurance, then be certain that everything will sail through.
His haters in their privacy admire his smart thinking and political sagacity. After serving as president many will like to use his brain. OBJ knows that he's smart and way ahead of him in political sagacity. OBJ uses brute force. That's all. |

All this while that Rivers has been in crisis what did Atiku and elrufai do to settle the case? How many press conferences did they issue to solve the problem? Fubara was abandoned by PDP and Atiku that was why he took cover under another party. If the house of assembly had impeached fubara what will Atiku and elrufai do. PBAT has decided to suspend them so that there will be order and opportunity to resolve the issues permanently and Atiku and elrufai gather and are doing chochocho |

lexy2014: is there any constitutional provision for the funds of a state in nigeria to be released and administered by a sole administrator? In a state of emergency the constitution is suspended to the extent of it's operation by a democratically elected governor and house of assembly. This is the import of section 305 variously cited. |
Politics › Re: FG To Release Rivers Allocation To Administrator by Vision101(m): 4:06pm On Mar 19, 2025 |
lexy2014: we dont understand who a sole administrator. can you pls enlighten us all?
is there any constitutional provision for the funds of a state in nigeria to be released and administered by a sole administrator? The president is now the governor acting through the sole administrator. His requests will be approved by FEC. The functions of the two arms of government in Rivers State has been suspended. The supreme Court said that before now the executive exist but no legislature which was abnormal. In essence no constitutional government. |

deathtoLeo1: these guys are very predictable impunity to the highest tueh ! the same allocations you accused the governor of not presenting budget ? so which budget are you going to work with ? same budget you declared invalid by your court. jeezzz this is pure armed robbery and embezzlement. God what's happening in this country. Yerobaboons have destroyed this country. So you don't understand the meaning of a state of emergency in a constitutional democracy? The president is now the governor of Rivers State acting through the administrator. The administrator can make a request that has to be approved by FEC. |
Politics › Re: Don’t Dare FG – AGF Fagbemi Warns States by Vision101(m): 3:38pm On Mar 19, 2025 |
The decision is needed so that a political solution can be found. The political solution would have been possible before the court judgment but the governor and his supporters were not disposed towards that.
After the court judgment the RSHA now have an upper hand. They could ground the government by not approving the budget for one year. They will oppose anything that comes from the governor because the governor didn't show magnanimity before now... demolishing their structure, withholding their salaries for one year, conducting kangaroo council election, running a government without approved budget etc.
With the state of emergency it will be easier to find a political solution hence the two don't have authority anymore. |

ceevictor: It's a typical lie, it's all from Federation Account that monthly allocation to Rivers state was halted by the court, during Obasanjo era Tinubu suffered same and paid workers through state generated IGR Why is it that you guys give wrong information? During OBJ/Tinubu issue, the issue in dispute was the local government allocation because Tinubu created LCDA. OBJ withheld only the local government allocation even against the court ruling. Present Rivers and Lagos state issue under Tinubu are not the same. |

Hemanwel: As usual, Reno's post will be filled with senselessness.
But to be honest, one thing that's made me to secretly hold Tinubu in high esteem is him realizing how counter-productive it will be for him to have a Reno among his media team with his childish, senseless, and intelligent defences.
Of all the possible intelligent defenses that could be, as regards this state of emergency declaration, is this the best Reno could come up with?
So, because this same situation happened during OBJ regime when our democracy was still at the infantile stage, it should be allowed to stand? Need Reno be reminded that we have grown democratically since OBJ left power?
Please, the people around Reno should off his mic. He keeps disgracing his lineage. But you guys always say that OBJ was the best thing that ever happened to sliced bread 🍞. Why is it not good to tow the line of your best performer. Why pick and choose. |
Politics › Re: Fubara’s Whereabouts Unknown As Military Moves Trucks Into Government House by Vision101(m): 12:27am On Mar 19, 2025 |
Dogalmighty17: Tinubu seriously goofed. He blames the governor for the bombing of pipelines saying that the governor made no moves to stop the bombings and that he didn't request for help.
But the DSS which is an intel gathering agency is not answerable to the governor. If the DSS failed to identify threats to the pipelines, how is that Fubara's fault?
Futhermore, Tinata is a contractor currently engaged by the federal government to protect pipelines. If Tinata failed to do their jobs, why is that on Fubara?
Wike has spent the past several days making highly inflammatory statements. The same Wike still sits in the federal executive council meetings and has not been called to order.
This crisis, potentially escalatory as it is, could have long been contained. Never in the history of Nigeria, has a minister under the employ of the federal government, proceeded to make his state ungovernable for the sitting governor the way Wike has.
This brings the question, what does Wike have on Tinubu? There is no way this ends well for Tinubu in 2027. Wike has burned too many bridges. At this point he is too much of a liability to anyone.
Today's events are a shameful turn. It calls into question Tinubu's supposed political sagacity and acumen. Story....,... don't make any deal with the devil and back out. E get why. |

NiRfreak: All I can is that Wike is a thief He's not destabilizing and hijacking homes and land because of a real govt cause, but because of his greed and land grabbing opportunity Abuja presents for him. . I am very sure Wike never gave a grace period or window of payment for defaulters, at least 6months to one year should be given..since enforcement was never mandated before.. But hell no he has to hijack the land and resell at exorbitant fee without giving people opportunity to redeem their property.
It can never be well with this govt and anyone that support their unjust administration You want a functioning country but you are encouraging people not to pay tax? Is it not contradictory? The abroad that you use as example can this be tried. In Lagos state I pay my land use charge regularly. In fact I have paid for 2025. |
