To tell you the truth, Kumuyi is not materialistic. If he were so concerned about money, Deeper Life would have been the richest church.

CrimeRe: 2 Farmers Shot Dead By Fulani Herdsmen In Ghana (Graphic Photos) by vislabraye(m): 4:40pm On Feb 27, 2016
CastedDude:
According to reports, two farmers were allegedly shot dead in their farms by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Agogo, Ashanti region in Ghana by 4pm yesterday. One other person who was with the two, reportedly escaped death after he went to fetch water while others worked.

The latest incident follows a long-drawn battle between residents and the herdsmen who have been accused of destroying farms and raping women in the area. The herdsmen also accuse the residents of killing their colleagues and shooting their cattle.

Meanwhile, the Agogo Youth Association (AYASS) has banned all forms of political activities in the town with immediate effect, following the disagreement between locals of the town and nomadic Fulani herdsmen.

FlirtyKaren:
See earlier thread on the topic https://www.nairaland.com/2954945/futo-student-bites-off-nose#43224529

Two female Students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri‘s School Of Agricultural Technology (SAAT) two days ago got involved in a nasty fight that ended up with one of them biting the other's nose off.

An eye witness confirmed that it started with a demand by one of them to fetch some water (for their work) but she objected with a vulgar response.

The girl who had her nose bitten allegedly launched the first attack by pulling the other girl's hair. The fight got heated and she got bitten.

After the drama, the bleeding victim was rushed to the school clinic and immediately referred to the Federal Medical Centre Owerri, for proper and effective treatment and surgery and to help the bleeding.

For bleeding to stop, the medical team at FMC had to cut some flesh from her laps.

The matter is still under strong investigation by the school authorities.

3rdlegxxx:
now this is a reasonable point, one worth thinking on, the ikoyi linking phase 1 was newly built, even tho a bridge, it is still a road i think Fashola didn't use the word built and i am sure he meant reconstructed; this all points to the facts that we don't have a record keeping portal of such, where every and anyone can go and get information about the country
You said in all in tbe quoted. That could reduce propaganda to a large extent but with some1 like Lai Mohammed, who knows huh

It was a nice idea for Fashola to build the Lekki/Ikoyi link road. But as usual, it's not free. He used Lagos state money to build the road but we need to pay through our nose.

We need proper information in this country but not lies.

We shouldn't be looking at the technicalities but the crude and naked realities on the ground. The reality is that the GEJ govt met our federal roads in very poor shape. Its concern becomes to fix the roads before new ones (if ever they are needed) could be built. I don't see why not building an 'entirely new road' should be an issue to a govt that hasn't awarded a single contract almost 10 months in office.
God bless you. I don't know why people can't think.
Do they know what it takes to build an entirely new road ?

Osinbajo should be smart enough this. If roads are to be built, where will they lead to ? I can tell you that New York city don't just build new roads like that .

SMH .. So all these comments are coming from some graduates, what a shame, someone even made a very dumb af point by saying extra lanes are NEW roads, no wonder we are so easily deceived, illiteracy even among the educated is really so high in Nigeria, No NEW Roads were built not repaired or patched, a brand new road like what Fashola built linking Ikoyi to Lekki Phase 1... The VP has a point, why are most of u so silly and senseless as to easily come out and insult your Vice President, I understand the APC, PDP thing but insulting and embarrassing your VP and President all over social media with low level of grasping information and thinking..
But Fashola said Gej built more roads than any other government huh

Let's assume Osinbajo is right, where should the new roads lead to ? In a place like Ikoyi for instance, there's no room for new roads. You don't just build roads for building sake, new roads are built when there is expansion of industries and homes for easy access.

Don't let these guys try to confuse you. There are some roads which were never tarred or graded. If the government now decides to grade and tar them to make it motorable, is it not the same as building these roads ?

Some people claim to be wise but the expose their folly. Is Osinbajo expecting Gej to uproot trees and house to build road ?

ovadozes:
I have always argued that there are better and more mature ways to handle this issue of IPOB protests than shooting of unarmed protesters, the major reason the USA does not sell arms to Nigeria is because of the incessant and flagrant abuse of human rights by her armed forces...one day I believe one day the chicken will come home to roost. this IPOB issue may the final nail on the Nigerian coffin if the government does not handle it carefully.
Governors of South East and Ohaneze are just watching while this massacre is going on right under their noses, this matter goes beyond just condemning the activities of IPOB when the military under Ihejirika was fighting Boko Haram, the northerners condemned his method and even went as far as petitioning him to the Hague, even with the grave danger associated with Boko Haram it never stopped Arewa from speaking up.
That's the problem with tribalism. These Northerners especially the Fulanis are the major problem in Nigeria. BH killed Christians and bombed churches and the Northern elders rejoiced.
Gej fought bh but Buhari made it a tribal issue. "He said war against bh is war against the North"
Buhari was angry anytime a boko haram fighter is killed. They are his misguided brothers.
Of recent, over a 100 bh members were released.
As for IPOB. We've not heard any mosque burnt or aboki killed down south. But Buhari has unleashed his terror on innocent people. What a shame.

I think it's pretty normal for someone who has forged very strong familial bonds with their relation.

This might sound harshsmiley
But you need to go tough in love.

While scolding her might sound like an option, it might turn out to be counter productive.

First, stop indulging and petting her.
I'm sure you've told her by now that she is now married to you, and that both of you need to be strong both mentally and emotionally for each other to build your lives.

If you have had this pep talk with her, and she is still tearing up.
Permit her to go to her house.
Tell her to stay as long as she likes and she shouldn't return until you come for her.

This sounds brutal, but it seems an efficient way to cure that unwanted spirit in her.
I think I like your advise. It's not everything that can be done with gra gra. Wisdom is applicable.

Nigerians were scammed with Okonjo ' s World Bank resume. Just like CHUKWUMA SOLUDO said "She was a secretary for the world Bank and not an economist. It's like saying that the head of Customer service of a bank is a Banker. Not all Bank employees are automatically called Bankers. The result of it is how she mismanaged our economy. If we can only remove tribalism from our psyche, then we will see how she obviously failed. Kemi Adeosun will be judged after her tenure.

Femi Aribisala is an old foool.

If not, how does a sane man canvass for the return of a finance minister who failed woefully in managing bounty harvest to come and mange austere period?

The overhyped economist who couldn't diversify the economy during surplus earnings is the person the lunatic Aribisala is asking us to bring back!

And talking about the revelations in the budget, it is actually a credit to Buhari that we're getting to know the existence of bloated figures contained therein. In the past, the presidency would have done a deal with the NASS such that the budget is not fully discussed to reveal those padding before it's passed. But because we have a president who will not do a deal to shortchange Nigeria, we're able to know how the budget cabals have been stealing us blind.

Yes, the presidency made some mistakes by not being very deligent with the budget, but the fact that heads have rolled and more will still roll for the budget padding is a testament to the president's readiness to take actions to correct mistakes.

To hell with Femi Aribisala and his unpatriotic cohorts.
Didn't you read when the poster said that the finance minister wanted to do away with subsidy and open an ECA ? Can't you remember the protest against the government in 2011/2012 ? Just think how much we would have saved if the government removed subsidy. And another problem was that the greedy state governors shared the ECA. Well, the presidency is in the best position to handle this.

It's funny how all the issues of Nigeria has been heaped on pmb and APC. It's simply amusing but this same issue could have happened with pdp in power with a degree of cushioning being in power for long, Don't belong to apc or pdp the fact remains that those of you casting assertions on pmb are not in any way better than him, not in the least, doing that won't solve your any of issues bedevilling the country and each household.

As per power supply, I blame fashola for aiding the increase in tariff without commensurate increase in generation and supply, the discos are the cheats here not the FG, so all griviances should be directed to them, all houses needs to be metered with increase in power supply hours to justify tariff increase.

As long as our country is import dependent and 70% of our budget is meant for recurrent expenditures with political office holders getting huge pay for being and out of office without a real diversificationof the economy not a paper and speech diversification and really equipping the real sector of the economy, our naira will continue to fall against the dollar as long as its controls world economy and USA in still alive.

We need functional institutions and a political class that is on the side of the masses towards a vibrant and prosperous Nigeria, pmb has done nothing wrong and does not really pisses the magic wand to turn things round overnight without the support of the legislature and all Nigerians in whole, his fight against corruption is in the interest of all Nigeria as few persons can't make the countrys resources theirs and for their families and cronies.
Nigeria will make it if we believe and work with a prudent leader and honest citizens.

Peace upon us all.
Fashola is actually the problem. He's not a technocrat. I think its heartless to increase tariff in a time like this.

At least you can see. Some zombies even praise the government for increase in tariff. What type of country are we in ?
Hardship does not recognise whether you are Apc or Pdp. Everyone is suffering including the zombies. 2 thousand naira electricity could take us up to a month. But now it is not so. Instead of us to come 2geda as one to kick against this, we are playing politics. What a shame.
People like Mbaka and Bakare that should lead the people to protest have gone into hiding. Have you heard Bakare speak all this while ? No. He has rather decided to focus on his calling which he should have done since.
