hobermener: Let the grand deception continue. You dont fight insurgency by preventing the press from reporting such attacks. Its a shame that aljazeera a foreign news outlet reported this incidence before other local news agencies. Let them continue with the propaganda. If it's not Gej, it's Pdp. By reporting the truth, it means you are the enemy of the state. |

Politics › Re: Ese Oruru, Ebonyi Gang Rape Victim And The Hypocrisy Of A Nation. by vislabraye(m): 10:35am On Mar 16, 2016 |
MadCow1: Let me add another clear bias..
Ese Oruru: As far as I am concerned was not abducted at Gunpoint or Kidnapped. She ran away from home and went to live with her Abokey lover in the North where she got pregnant and coverted to Islam.
The Dead girl and the other Girls were raped.. They didnt go to visit their boyfriends and got raped. They were attacked in their homes and violated.
There is an obvious difference in these two matters..
But because of the Islam undertone of Ese Oruru's case, everybody has got an erectio-n. The have called for the hanging of Yinusa Yellow. Tunde MadMan Bakare called for his diick to be cut off. All our champion advocates jumped on the matter and were ready to wage war and bring the nation to a stand still. Even the Emir Sanusi was insulted and called names despite the obvious fact that his involvement was minimal and that he ordered that she be returned to her parents.
But in the Ebonyi case of "Amaka", everybody seems to be chilled. Yes its annoying but atleast they were not raped by Muslims or Gay People (Because the only thing that Gets Nigerians going is Islam and Homosexuality). The Chief Ogbonnaya that bailed some of the Perps have not received and any flak whasoever, but Sanusi who instructed that Ese be returned to her people was cursed out for days..
Lets not stop there.. last week on this same Nairaland, A 56 year old Father raped his 10 year old daughter.. The reaction on the thread did not carry the same level of venom the Ese case carried. But imagine the story read 56 year old Muslim Man marries 10 year old bride.. Niggas would get into the street with placards.
Just a few days back (yesterday), a 35 year Old Man (Pastor) rapes his 13 year old househelp with a candle.. Yes people reacted, but it was not as bad because it was not a muslim Alfa that was involved.
I have said it that they should just give those Rapist their 6 Months to 2 years sentences and set them free. That is the law of the jungle we live in. A Nation so bigoted and blinded by their hate for things that actually have no bearing whatsoever on their lives.
Nigerians know how to channel their hate towards the wrongest of directions.
Progressive01 Please dont bother.. The next thing is they will attack you and make you the new enemy. Nigerians are not interested in the message but the messenger. As far as they are concerned, its North vs. the rest or Islam vs Christians. You are only giving us your opinion about Ese. You don't know her. What happened against her can't be justified no matter how you want to twist it. She is not the 1st person to be abducted from the South, mind you. Secondly, this does not justify raping of minors. If you had noticed, all the rapists were charged to court. No one justifies rape, whether it is committed by a Southerner or Northerner. All rapists should be punished. I don't know why you guys think anyone is justifying rape. Any sane person would be mad if his/her underaged daughter is abducted into marriage and forced to pickup anothet religion. There's no bigotry here. Try and abduct a Fulani girl and marry her, you will see what will happen to you. |

Continue to shoot yourself in the foot trying to defend that stoooopid Yunusa abd the lazy and senile emir Some people are just idiiotzs . He just wants to write because he can write. Does anyone here support rape, whether South or North ? Ese was abducted and forced into Islam and yet sone slowspoke think it's okay. The abductors did it in tbe name of Islam. If this Op sees nothing wrong with this then, may the same thing happen to his daughter. |
Politics › Re: Rivers Killings: Buhari Orders Security To Punish Sponsors by vislabraye(m): 8:46pm On Mar 15, 2016 |
Ezenwammadu: President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday in Malabo condemned recent political violence in Rivers State, saying the killing of people over political differences was “primitive, barbaric and unacceptable”. “We will deal decisively with all sponsors of violence. I have given the security services clear directives in this regard,” the president said. There has been an upsurge of violence in the oil-rich state ahead of National and State Assembly rerun elections on Saturday. The All Progressives Congress, Mr. Buhari’s party, accuses the Peoples Democratic Party-led Rives government of sponsoring and stoking violence against its members. Some APC members have been killed and beheaded. The government says the violence was a result of a supremacy battle by cultists. In his first public comments about the growing violence in Rivers State, Mr. Buhari said, “We will show that violence in any form will no longer be tolerated before, during or after elections.” He spoke at an interactive meeting with Nigerians resident in Equatorial Guinea.
President Buhari said the Independent National Electoral Commission will be encouraged to explore the possibility of allowing Nigerians abroad vote in the 2019 general elections. Noting that some African countries have started allowing their citizens resident abroad to vote in national elections, the president said he fully empathised with the desire of Nigerians in the diaspora to vote in national elections. President Buhari pledged that he would therefore do all within his powers to fulfil that desire. “I want all Nigerians to know that I respect them and their right to choose their leaders,” he said The president also said that establishing a new national airline was not currently on the Federal Government’s list of priorities. President Buhari declared that his administration’s main area of focus now was reducing the level of poverty in the country. The president said that developing the infrastructure needed to boost production in all sectors of the economy and create more jobs for young Nigerians, as well as other actions that will directly improve the living conditions of ordinary Nigerians will continue to be prioritized by his administration. President Buhari was responding to complaints by members of the Nigerian community about the absence of direct flights between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea. The president assured them that his administration’s war against corruption will remain “fearless, relentless and merciless”. “We will be merciless and relentless in pursuing all those who abused public trust. Nigerians will see how some of the elite conspired to run the nation down,” he said. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/200194-buhari-breaks-silence-vows-decisive-punishment-sponsors-rivers-killings.html Why is he always saying things about Nigeria abroad ? Are we not the ones who voted him ? Btw, Agatu incident is still on mind. He won't see that one. |

Naija9090: If you still believe in One Nigeria with all these daily accidents, then you are a wicked heartless beast. People drive more responsibly when they are patriotic to their country, they care about their fellow country men and women, they have a secured future, the country provides them with basic amenties, their retirement and pensions are secured, e.t.c. People are stressed out in this country that when they are driving they are thinking about how to eat tomorrow, how to pay their children school fees, pay their rent, before you know it, they forget they are driving. SAD! Nigerians don't love Nigeria. Nigeria doesn't love Nigerians, Nigerians are unhappy in Nigeria. That's the truth. People are dying more these days. From road accidents, herdsmen killings, Bokoharam bomb, soldiers massacre to all sorts of political assassinations are common in Nigeria. Let God help us. |

blackpanda: Rubbish comments
The President is doing his job. He does not need people who only claim nigeria in name to talk about things they have no clue.
What exactly will be achieved by the President sitting down in Asorock doing nothing?? I believe we have institutions that function properly with or without the president's direct involvement.
The Presidents trips are not for fun or leisure. So short sighted ingrates need to find elsewhere to channel their noisemaking! For you not to see anything wrong with the silence of the president over the killings shows that you are also insensitive. For once, let people speak the truth. I wonder why it's so hard for the core APC supporters to tell the president the truth. No one is saying he should not fight corruption or he should not travel. But we want him to show some empathy with the bereaved. Mind you, those people who were killed were also his voters. Over 300 people killed in a community and yet the president is silent. I also wonder why the MOGs are not speaking up too. |

In as much as the president is fighting corruption, he should not close his eyes to the evil of the herdsmen. He should be seen as someone who belongs to everybody and not the Fulanis alone. So far he's insensitive and there's nothing anyone can say to defend him. He has failed woefully in showing empathy to the grieving. Buhari doesn’t seem to care about anything people say, afterall, there are zombies that will support him no matter what. Nigeria is bigger than any individual. Today some people are suffering it, tomorrow it may bw your turn. Advise the president wisely. |
