Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Can You Accept N15,000/month With A 2.1 Degree? by vislabraye(m): 3:37pm On Jan 18, 2010
Well, if you want to go in to teaching career, you could just endure the salary.

I have similar experience with you. I graduated with a BSC in mathematics and i saw an advert to teach a secondary school. After the guy tested me and found out that i was competent, he gave me the job with a salary of 12,000 naira per month. I could have taken it but they had a lot of clauses besides it. I was to take nine classes. mathematics, physics and further maths for all the senior classes, I was discouraged. First of all, i didn't want teaching as a career, but just wanted to while away time.

Yours might be different, but just think about the best choice to make. You should be dropping your CV in good establishments. 2 1 is a very good grade. Cheers

Kanu should retire fullstop. He should know that he is due for retirement.

JJ is telling him the truth. May be he's talking base on Kanu's real age, it might be that they are of the sam age group

Kudos to EFCC. I know some people will say Northern agenda. I wonder what sort of people they are. 253 billion naira traced to one person? Haba!!

That lady is a fraud, and if Oceanic bank should collapse today, she should be held responsible. Nonsense,

These GSM companies need to upgrade their security features. It seems that scammers are hacking into their system. Very soon, they'll start printing recharge cards.

Business › Re: CBN Considers Liquidating Ailing Banks by vislabraye(m): 11:42pm On Jan 17, 2010
seun0622:
All these actions by sanusi could be regarded as both subjective as well as objective because the intervention was very timely but was done with a lot of malice and noise.I was personally affected in the downsizing exercise in one of the ailing banks as I was able to see things clearly as an insider. The situation of these banks were more pathetic than what was presented. You need to understand that loans can only be bad if the bank executives want it so but most of the bad loans that wrecked the banks were given to family and friends. All the directors have loans running into billions of Naira and the truth remains that if CBN had not pumped in the 400 Billion Naira to the 5 banks that were initially affected.A lot of customers would still be crying now and all (Not some) of the bank's staff would have gone home by now.
Sanusi did the needful, but he started it from his most dreaded enemies (Akingbola and Co).
Tho there are still some other banks that are as distressed as these banks in question but a lot of cover up activities have kept them floating.
I'm glad for your above observation. It baffles some me that people don't see what Sanusi is doing. I wonder if they read the dailies to understand the magnitude of fraud committed by these rogues. For instance Aknigbola has nine companies worrth billions of naira, a mansion with 15 exotic cars. Haba! What is he doing with such number of cars if he used his own sweat to purchase them ?

xtraodinaire:
I wonder why some people are always so sentimental and unwilling to learn, Sanusi has done a great job and pls lets not write off the fact that this trouble started a long time ago and soludo did nothing about it.
Someone said they should let stakeholders provide money to take over the banks, pls let me ask who are the stakeholders? the same dangote and co who put these banks in this situation. incase you dont know all Nigerian banks posted a loss in their year end result with Bank 'car will run on water' phb stunnin us all with a loss of over 480bn Naira and madam 'stallion of d bankin industry' oceanic with over 400bn Naira, Please lets cut the sentiments, these banks cant survive if they dont make strong moves. When the whole wahala started with the first 5banks, dey said the bailout money is over 1.3trillion naira only God knws how much it will be now and who wants to provide that kind of money when the country's budget is barely 3trillion naira.
Someone also asked wht the money given the banks was meant for, my dear the money's for customers like u and me so we can go to your banks, write a cheque and get money ou. Its not for them to recapitalise,
Pls lets be realistic, reasonable and shun sentiments. The banks were close to their doom,
You're one of the few people with brains.

I've been coming across an editorial on this day and guardian newspaper which has been running for some time. They call themselves Renaissance professionals and their function is to attack Sanusi. I know there are some people who read their comments and believe they've read good news, not understanding that they are just spreading propaganda.
These CEOs are big time fraudstars an dthey deserve to be arrested. If Sanusi had not blown the whistle on time, he would have inadvertently been postponing the evil days . Something worst would have happened. Thats what many short- time thinkers don't see.

It is well with her.
Just to let you guys in the house know that with money, marriage would be much easier for you. You could marry the most beautiful girl in the world if you've got a lot of money and at least little character to go along with it.( xter varies according to the type of girl, but money is the factor here )

It is a well know fact that professional athletes marry some of the most beautiful women in the world ( may be Tiger Wood is an exception. Some people say his wife aint pretty. But I think she's s#xy ). Just check out Kanu's wife, Okocha, Amokachi and a few others. It's good for them. You go school you no go school at the end of the day, na dough matter
Politics › Re: North And South Of Nigeria Are Inseparable - Bakare by vislabraye(m): 10:15pm On Jan 17, 2010
If the North and south breaks up, it may not be the end of our problems. While it might end some probs, it could create other ones.

First of all it would end religious crisis and discrimination.

But there are still some people who are clannish, and there would still be marginalization.

That penalty was a very cheap goal. If the Keeper was more experienced, he would have caught the ball. Yak shouldn't be rejoicing over that goal after missing a very clear chance.

What Eguavon said is true. But I'm not sure he would have done better if given the opportunity.  I think we need a very good foreign coach or else our world cup outing would be very disastrous. But let us see what Amodu would do in his next game.

You guys don't know anything.
How can you generalised all ladies from that axis as calabar girls or ladies.
Do you if what is being reqired from Cross River State (Calabar) is the same as that of Akwa Ibom State (uyo) as in the issue of traditional marriage?

what you decide for your daughters' head from Ondo state can never never be the same as that of Akwa Ibom OR Cross River(Calabar) as you've rightly put it.
Be specific, for you are getting it all wrong.
Chill out. The poster didn't say he doesn't know the difference between Calabar and Aqua Ibom.

If a hole president doesn't deem it fit to speak to our any of our loacl stations, how does he want the world to see us. All this cat and mouse game is like what you see in Jeffery Archer's novel. Infact in Nigeria, everything is possible. i won't be surprise if the Northern elders are preparing his clone some where. What a nice story,

Politics › Re: Donald Duke Blames Jonathan For Weakness! by vislabraye(m): 10:38pm On Jan 11, 2010
Jonathan doesn't really have the presence that would impose respect. That's the main problem. His general appearance looks so passive and unsinspiring, but he should not be underestimated at all.
I think or I hope he has a game plan. He might not be a pushover after all.
Politics › Re: America Takes Over Nigeria (my Dream) by vislabraye(m): 10:59pm On Jan 10, 2010
US ruling Nigeria vs Nigeria ruling herself is like choosing between the devil and the blue sea. The advantages of the former seem to be. Orderliness, good roads, improved infrastructures etc. But are we sure they will be willing to do this ? Won't they rather exploit our natural resources for their own advantage ? They would be more interested in building their economy instead of ours, We are all going to be marginalized .

It's still a shame that those vagabonds in power can't even help this nation. The labor of our hero past is in vain

@poster, Is it Professor Akinsola Oluwo ? He's married to a calabar woman named Ekaette and they have 4 children. He has been professor of psychology since 1990. He's well traveled.

If such an educated man with some much achievement could do such a thing, he should be ashamed of himself. I also heard he's a polygamist

I think the FA are learning from their lessons. They dont want any excuses for poor performance. What matters is for them to keep their promises. If the SE of 94 were motivated as these present bunch, they would have gone far in France 98

You've got to confront the man and bare the risks if there are any. First meet him in person if possible, go with some elders and/or influential people. First meeting should be done peacefully. But if he remains obstinate, then go for the jugular. Make sure he regrets it. If you have good connection, use it to bring him down,

Politics › Re: Senate Gives Obama's Admin 7-day Utimatum To Remove Nigeria From The Black List by vislabraye(m): 3:22pm On Jan 07, 2010
I pity Nigerians who live abroad. That goes a long way to tell you how irrelevant Nigeria as a country is in the international community. This is a country of paradox, where kings walk bare feet and beggers ride on horses.

There are Islamic many extremists in Nigeria, but what have we done about it? How many religious riots have we heard in time past? Countless. What about Boko Haram and the likes. I think that is the real problem. But we should not be blamed for the failed suicide attack. The US also had itself to blame. When they should give genuine people visa they don't. It is potential terrorists they find safe to give. I thought they were smarter than that.

Nigeria is taking the right step. If America fails to rescind its ill-advised decision, then Americans coming into Nigeria (and there are many of them) should receive the same treatment as Nigerians going into America. That is all we can do for now, but it is significant to have Americans patted down
An eye for an eye, tooth for tooth ? May be it might work
