NFF are just bunch of, I don't know a word to describe them. They knew Shuaibu's capability long b4 now, why employ him in the first place. Now, after doing fairly well, and within a short time left to the world cup, they have fired him.

It seems there are FOOLS running NFF/NFA . After sacknig Amodu, we are yet to know the new coach, infact it might take another month to hire him. The NFF/NFA board should be scrapped. These are people who dont learn from history; they fired this same person 2002 and brought in siddon look coach. Lets wait and see.

Hiddink is a good coach any day, but i doubt if he can do much with this short period. HE would need to start from the scratch, create an open camp and all,
Culture › Is It A Curse For Ladies To Envy One Another by vislabraye(op): 8:02pm On Feb 06, 2010
It amazes me how women could envy themselves over little things. If you are a pretty lady, you would understand what I'm talking about.

I witnessed a very recent occurence which got me thinking. I know a very beautiful lady, not only is she cute, she's also very intelligent and outgoing. She possesses very good interpersonal skillsl ( which many girls lack) and she had a lot of friends . Of recent she got married to a young successful and charismatic banker. He has risen very high within a short time in his career, even above people who began b4 him.

This pair were very good couples. Every where they went, people always paid them compliments; if they were at a party every one would want to be around them. You might think everything was going all well, right? wrong. People, especially ladies envied the wife. The least I expect was the wife to her husband's brother. She had gone all over town to tell those who cared to listen that the lady in question was a very manipulative wife; very rude , cocky and insultive; she had finished all her husband's money on jewelleries.

The news broke out when a family friend to her husband paid them a visit. After spending some time with them, chatting and having fun, she dropped the bombshell. She told this lady all what her inlaw had been saying about her. The family friend ( she ) concluded that the sister inlaw was just being envious of her. Afterall, she was by far prettier and more shapely than her inlaw. She had class and style which always overshadowed her inlaw whenever they went on outing. ( Infact she beats her in every department )

I begin to wonder, why is the rivalry between ladies so much? How many ladies can stand seeing another lady who is prettier and more intelligent themselves ?

Vergeltungswaffen!

@Alias64, don’t try to dodge the issue that Nigerian men are now desperate to marry Ghanaian women so they can become Ghanaian citizens! And by the way, your Nigerian sister still lives under my roof, huh?

And believe me; she needs this marriage more than I do. I made her to be who she is today. I paid for her to go and get a degree in law and finish up at the law school and today she’s a very successful lawyer.

I’ve also had my fair share of Nigerian women, including some of your so-called “society” women.

I don’t have anything against Nigerians, but woe betides anyone who seeks to denigrate my country. If you wish to see me at my worst, then come and run your mouth about Ghana in my presence. I think Ghana is a great country. It is not perfect but it is a damn great country. I love my country and willing to put my life on the line for my beloved country. That is how passionate I am about my country. Everything else, including my marriage is secondary. Ghana First!
You trained her to be who she is and you claim not to be interested in marrying her? Tell that to the birds. It just tells only one thing about you; you dont know how to woo a woman, you are just a wuss. You are only confident in the money you can offer and that my friend shows you dont have class,
You've had your own share of Nigerian women! Big deal? I can see its a very big achievement for you. If i should have anyting to do with a Ghanian lady, I will hide it to myself-that includes Nadia Buari,

Back to football, Ghana deserves to win. Egypt outclassed them in every department.

Getting a job is tough, when you get one it will come with all sorts if conditions. I think developing a valuable skill and/or becoming an entrepreneur is the best way out. Just imagine you having the whole time to yourself, and not being answerable to any body. ,

Our eduaction system is not dynamic enough to handle the present challenge we face. Getting quality education itself requires money; if you dont work how can ou get the money? Its a vicious cycle
Romance › Re: Why Do Nigerian Women Hate Mixed-race/asian Women Who Marry Nigerian Men? by vislabraye(m): 7:06pm On Feb 01, 2010
@poster,
I can understand what you're trying to say, but this issue is not limited to Naija babes alone. Even black American babes are not pleased when they see

their black men marry a foreign race. I think their rxn is embedded in their sub-conscious. They would feel that way even if that particular guy has never had an affair wth them ( the black chicks). They could even look down on the guy, and if he does something "sweet" for his wife, you'll hear them say " na because im marry oyibo".

I remember the comment of one female NL poster, she said " I hate it when rich black men marry white women. But if they are poor, they will marry black

black women.
Jokes Etc › Re: Nollywood Movies In 32 Lines: by vislabraye(m): 6:53pm On Feb 01, 2010
There's more,
A ritual movie can never be complete without Clems Ohameze or Kanayo O Kanayo.

If you see Chinedu Ikedezie ( aki ) you must also see Osita Iheme ( pawpaw )

Nkem Owoh will always talk talk talk, and usually out of point and not funny.

Patience Ozokwu is a bad mother-inlaw ( atleast these days she trying not to be stereotype)

Chiwetalu Agu is always a mischievous person; he reproduces a new proverb or exclamation

Gentle Jack is the hitman or the action Hero

One other funny thing is that Hollywood movies have Nollywood version,
Movies like Bourse Supremacy, A thin line btw love and hate Romeo must die et al.

A thin line btw love and hate is so unique that it has two Nollywood versions, The play boy in the 1st movie was Basorge Jnr. and the second one was Nonso Diobi.

cheesy

Wao, I was so impressed with the Ghanaian team. They played so well. They were damn unlucky to have lost to Egypt. To all Ghanaians, you should be very proud about your team because I see it dominating Africa in the years to come. I think Ghana played their worst against Nigeria and still won. Today, they played very well and matched the Egyptians in every aspect of the game. They created more chances and played better then the Egyptians.
I can see you are just absolutely biased. I guess Guess Ghana played their best game against Cote D'Viore and lost  3 1 oh i mean 3 0  huh. If not for that unmeritted penalty the ref gave you guys, and now its you people who complain about the officiating.

I was actually disappointed in Egypt because they deserved to score more than a goal. We are waiting to see you guys play in this forth coming world cup.

As for other issues youguys are talking about, calling Nigerians names and so on; Ghana secretely admires and publicly despice Nigerians, I have alot of facts but thats for another day
Sports › Re: English Premier League Has Destroyed African Football by vislabraye(m): 5:52pm On Feb 01, 2010
If anyone is destroying African football, it is African. I dont see what premiership has got to do with this.

I love premiereship and will continue to watch it, infact European football,

One thing most of us don't understand is that the EPL has paid their dues. They are not only the most popular league in Nigeria, but the whole world. Man U and Arsenal are amongst they most famous clubs in the world. If you ask most footballers especially in other parts of Europe, they wil tell u they wish to play in the prem. The EPL has pumped in millions in branding and development and are only reaping what they've sown. They werent lie this overnight.

I remember several years back it was Ajax that was the main team. Spanish and Seria A were the major leagues in the world; who thought about EPL ?

hollandis:
Premiership is so overrated because of the influence of the English press. The English press controls a world wide audience because they are simply ''english'' ,english being the most official language is not helping matters. We should ask ourselves when last did england make it to the world cup semifinals or even lifted the UEFA cup?I think Its enough proof that the English league is poor.

If you witnessed the commentaries during the Nations cup, you will agree with me that ,the English commentators will protect everything English and the intergrity of their own, hence they went out of their way to support players like yakubu,Mikel,Kanu,Yobo and to a lesser extent Etuhu. Take the super eagles as a case example, the most celebrated players are non -premiership players ,Such names as Ikechukwu Uche(Spain),Obasi (Germany) and Osaze Odemwengie (Russia) just to mention a few.

Again during the Nations Cup,Shittu who himself is a premiership player ,proved that there are still many outstanding players in the premiership. By my analysis I am not in any way castigating players who play in the premiership, after all good players like Rooney and Giggs still play excellent football. My point is if a coach wants ''professional players'' and not ''local based players'' his eye must shift form the colourful and glamorous premiership to other league like spain and germany where excellent football is played.Afterall the much talked out premier players contributed to Nigeria's woeful outing at the concluded Nations Cup
EPL overrated ? Are you serious? If you have noticed, it was an English team that won the UCL two seasons ago. They were the finalist in 4 consecutive championship. In a season, two PL clubs were finalist and semi finalists.
English National Team is not a true reflectionof the prem. One of the reasons the EP clubs are the best in Europe is because they attract the best players all over the world,

Sports › Re: English Premier League Has Destroyed African Football by vislabraye(m): 1:58pm On Jan 31, 2010
You made a good analysis but you conclusion is false,

Firstly, the reason no Sub Saharan Nation has lifted up the cup has nothing to do with EPL. It has everythig to do with game techniques, team work and enterprising play.

Secondly, I don't know of any influential Cameron player who plays in the EPL except Song who plays for Arsenal. Arsenal does not play the typical English football, its a club that develops great players. If Song had been in an African league, do you think he would be this good. The funny thing is that the EPL claim that the influx of forieigners is affecting the game.

Even if you say Europe league is affecting our game, you would still be wrong.
When Man U and Portsmouth played against Nigerian clubs, why didn't our club with the "robust players" at our disposal win the game. Europe especially the premiership has made a +ve impact in our game. The fact is that the players featured had pass their peak or they are not in form,

Lets tell ourselves the truth, you can't stop a player from playing in Europe or EPL if he has the offer. All over the world, great players desire to play in the EPL. Money is involved, ofcourse yes.

I know most people are looking at the " Patience Ozokwu" type of mother inlaw in home videos. Well I dont know how many mother-inlaws could be as mean as that ( watch one of her movies). In such instance, it is the respnsibility of the son to kick her out.

I know most of the ladies here are not being objective because they are only seeing themselves from the "wife" perspective. Don't forget you all would grow old some day and would have male children. May be the worst happens ( God forbid ) you would eventually live with your son. If the wife sees you as an alien and treats you with disrespect, how would you feel?

It's actually difficult to judge cos you don't have the complete scope of the issue,

You're talking about abiding to FIFA's rule. Did FIFA not mention anything about security? When people's life is at stake, FIFA's rule become meaningless. I have never heard of this incidence in Europe or World Cup. I know of an instance when a country was at war and they were to play for a cup qualifier. FIFA had to take the return leg to a neutral ground.
Angola and CAF are the biggest culprit in this. All Angola could do was to blame Togo's team for not travelling by air,

When it comes to security of the citizens of a nation do you expect the Togolese Govt. to seat down and fold their hands after such thing happened? Had it been an American citizen was involved do you think the goverment would keep quiet about it? Yet some people expect their goverment tobe indifferent. I support what the Togolese government did. It was their way of mourning for the dead. All CAF needed to do was to send their condolense instead of trading blame.

CAF is very foolish, insensitive and incompetent. This is the worst competition so far filled with faulty officiating,

Thats exactly what is happening with Akingbola. I hear people saying Northern Agenda. So should Akingbola be acquitted?

If all what EFCC is saying is the truth, then let them conclude the matter.
