When you observe lagos from the air, it's not that pleasant, Molue busses here and there, rusty roofs and many unpleasant sites.

But if you observe Lagos at night from a high rise especially in places like Ikoyi, you would fall in love witn the city. As long as you do so when there is light. grin

The poster must be a half illiterate (at least she can write and probably read). She went to church and found one person with BO and has now concluded that Nigerian men have BO.She has even made up an opinion poll. Damn, she must be very daft.
In that her church were there not men smelling fresh ? It goes to show that she is attracted to men with BO, grin

Politics › Re: Cecilia Ibru Paid N225m For Living In Own House by vislabraye(m): 9:36pm On Dec 31, 2009
OH, huh I thought Sanusi was victimizing her,

Was it not Sanusi that made her steal I mean mismanage ?

Ibru comes from a rich family after all they own properties before she came to Oceanic. This woman is a very fantastic banker. Oceanic has won the bank of the year twice, and it keeps waxing strong until Sanusi came on board. Cecilia her self is a phenomenal woman; she came from the kitchen to a successful banker. She had to sacrifice her marriage for the growth of the bank and now Sanusi has taken it from her.

This industrious woman, the doyen of the bank has appeared on some many talk show ( esp. moments with mo, she and Dora on how women could be entrepreneurs ).
She hosted the pepsi football challenge and many others, grin grin

Ahmodu has tried,

@akinalabi, At least he's better than Berti Vogts

The NFF and/or NFA never wanted to hire a foreign coach. If they pay the coach millions of dollars p.a how much go remain for them to chop.

My prayer for the SE is for them to atleast win a bronze medal,
Politics › Re: Northwest Flight 253 Leg-bomber Is Son Of Dr.umaru Abdul Muttalab, by vislabraye(m): 6:34pm On Dec 30, 2009
Why all the hateful mails against the North? How many times have Nigerians of Southern origin disgraced this country abroad?

Can I conclude that all females from Edo and Delta guys are harlots or retired harlots who have retired from Italy?

Can I conclude that everyone from the South west is a fraudster, yahoo yahoo?

Can I conclude that all niger deltans are militants or terrorists?

Enough of the hate please, you should all cover your hateful faces in shame
Suicide bombing is unacceptable no matter how you see it!
It's rather a shame that something of sort should come from Nigeria, it has overshadowed every other misdemeanor.

To be sincere with you, it is hard to differentiate between a zealot Moslem from a radical.( I know a couple of moslems from the south; they would never go to such extent). In the North you have religious riots almost every day. The average moslem is very intolerant to other religions especially Christians. They hate to hear the name " Jesus" or any thing relating to it. Every other worshipers are called infidels.
For instance in a state dominated by moslems it is impossible to watch any xtian programme or hold a crusade where as in the south Moslems are allowed to do whatever they please.
Some states in The North, you see supporters of Osama Bin Ladin
There are also Islamic schools for children where they are thought how to be violent.

These are some of the factors that make Moslems potential terrorist.

We don't get to hear the Imams and other Moslems cleric condemning these acts,  I believe if these Imams could speak to their fellow moslems to desist violence, it would go a long way in solving the world's problem and of course religious clash.

I have always believed the SE needs a foreign coach, not just any kind but a very good one. Look at England for instance; they are the founders of football, they've got a very good league, but it's a foreign coach handling them. It doesn't mean England lacks good coaches n.b .

However, credit must be given to Amodu for qualifying the SE . I watched the match against Tunisia and I can't heap all the blame on him for the result, in fact he read the game very well and made the right sub that brought the goal. Was he the one who asked TT to be absent minded ? Did he ask the mid fielders not to tackle their opponents ? They players were busy dancing to the gallery and entertaining the fans when Tunisia equalized.
I think he has done well. I also believe he's the best indigenous coach we have. And i'm sure he's better than Berti Vogts and some other foreign coaches.

We still need a foreign coach but not now. Time is too short for him to make a significant impact. And also i want us to actually see what Amodu is made up of.

Sports › Re: Osaze As Eagles Playmaker? Your Thoughts & Opinions. by vislabraye(m): 1:36am On Dec 24, 2009
His present position for his club would determine where he should play for his country. If a player has been playing as a winger for his club, you don't change his position overnight
Osaze plays his best football in his present position. I doubt whether the number 10 role is meant for him; you don't need to be a 10 to be creative. He's a creative individual with alot of pace. Attacking role is more suitable for him,
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Soludo Caused The Massive Bank Layoffs by vislabraye(m): 1:16am On Dec 24, 2009
Soludo on one hand was able to build a "strong banking system " , but along the way there was fraud and gross mismanagement on the part of the C.E.Os . I would have expected Soludo to have properly regulated these banks which didn't do.

A lot of people in this forum are heaping piles of blames on Sanusi .Apart from the fact that there is/was a global financial melt down these bank chiefs were busy obtaining awarding outrageous loans to themselves. A situation when an individuals own at least 70% of the bank loan is suspicious.

These bankers cooked up figures and lied to the public. Sanusi did well in exposing their dirty deals and dealing with them appropriately; or do you guys expect that he should fold his hands and close a blind eye to what is going on ? If Sanusi had not acted on time like he did, he would be postponing the evil day for something worse. His actions are timely; his method, well not sure there could have been a better way

Sanusi disclosed that Mrs. Ibru and members of her family cornered about 70 per cent of the total loans the bank granted to customers, before her removal from office.

He added that Mrs. Ibru and her family obtained loans from Oceanic Bank to purchase property in Lagos Island, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Dubai

Apart from the 28 houses she had in Dubai, there are other properties in Nigeria she had, may be altogether 40 excluding those the acaquired legally,

And some people start screaming here that Sanusi is not doing a good job ?

I believe this source to be true b cos you don't expect Guardian to carry this news,

AfroCynic:
Lol, I watched this movie, it was a big pile of crap. Mama claim say she born pickin at 19, she dey do 35th birthday and pickin is also 19. Guy wey dey date daughter come marry mama, in his course of dealing with de mama or de daughter, he never knew either was related. Film just pack full of grammer blowing! One ting I like sha, the wardrobe department did their job well, also the locations were well chosen.
Na this kin thing wey dey make me tire for home video. They don't take time to think or edit small errors. How much money will it take them to reason that 19 +19 = 38 ? Or that if her daughter is 19 at present , then she gave birth to her when she was 16. Or do they think Nigerians are slowpokes not to find out ?
The only Nigerian movie I had spent money to watch is figurine . It was lovely. I wanted to watch another one , but when i got to the cinema hall i found out that the movie was played with a DVD player instead of the movie reels. It was crap. Yoruba movies are nice to watch too ( although i don't speak Yoruba , their story line is good ).

They have to brace up and improve on their story line,
