PoliticsRe: Only A Third Of Nigerians Are Poor- Says World Bank by vivaciousvivi(f): 9:14am On Jul 23, 2014
VocalWalls: The problem is, most Nigerians love to live in self pity, hoping to probably attract people's emotions, and then assistance.

Trust me, there are poor nigerians, struggling through the days, but there are more average Nigerians.

The fact that you cannot get all that you always want, does not mean you are poor!
I completely agree with you on the bolded.
That quite a large number of Nigerians engage in menial jobs to survive has never in my books, meant that they live way below the poverty line - a line that is still open to conjecture in terms of its definition as far as I am concerned.
Also, by the mere structure of our society, they would always be price points affordable to each type of social class than in what obtains in other "more developed - developing countries" like the BRIC nations.

I also believe that CBN's fear of inflation due to too much liquidity in the system is a bit unfounded. I doubt it would push inflation that much especially on commodity items.

hardbody: Vivi, I don't need math in my life, well not at that level, I learnt enough to pass the exams i needed them for (including such funny things as differentiation when i was studying for an MBA), but now, my everyday job does not require a deep knowledge of mathematics. (I interprete accounts though and can work out ratios). By the way, $46k X the conversion rate in Naira is arithmetic not mathematics. But honestly I am done fighting, we can shake hands now, even if i am not forgiven, is that ok?
Mathematics is the abstract science of number, quantity, and space. Arithmetic is an aspect of math.
You are forgiven.
And please, no more name-calling. A lot of us have been guilty of this on this thread and your responses were the fuel to those fires.
Cheers.

Yababoy: I am really tempted to comment here after going through this whole thread. Truth be told, a lot of people earn well over =N= 2m a month, in short I can count at least 12 acquaintances that do. However, I really feel Hardbody doesn't. Your outbursts and maturity at handling criticisms say a lot about u. And if truly u do....uhmmm....a f00l and his money. U need to be very careful, u don't have to curse and put people down to state your points. If you feel some comments are childish, shortsighted or unambitious, simply ignore them and move on. Cheers.
Thank you my brother!

hardbody: Learn to read. There is something called a mail trail. I reacted to some person's post and to think you could just jump on the wand wagon and start spewing trash is so unlady-like. I will let this pass and hope you respect your self going forward. I don't recall making a scathing remark to you on this forum even when you have come across as uncouth and ill-mannered severally. You may wish to be well-advised.
Excuse youhuh Who the hell do you think you are? I jumped on the bandwagon without reading the thread? I have come across as ill-mannered "severally". you are clearly not ok! I ADVISE YOU to think twice, no thrice...before you type rubbish to me ever again else that Uncouth and ill-mannered behavior you have seen me exhibit "severally" would be directed straight to you. Nonsense thing!

BTW, Go and learn math!!!
