Foreign Affairs / Re: Romney President Of Bain Clueless For 3 Years Like Ebele by VoodooDoll(m): 1:03pm On Jul 21, 2012
Romney was a successful PE investor and built, Bain Capital, a mean machine. However, he is also a liar, potentially a tax cheat and a job outsourcer who may have helped criminals launder money through Panama and other offshore centres.

I just hope Americans are smart enough to reelect Obama.
Politics / Re: Fashola Inspects LAGBUS' New Site, Oshodi New Market. (pics) by VoodooDoll(m): 12:41pm On Jul 21, 2012
Well done to Fashola, and Lagos state govt and civil servants plus tax payers, entrepreneurs and businessmen.

Whilst we sing praises to Fashola, let's remember that he is a servant of the people, and he is just doing his job. Quite notably though!!!!
Politics / Re: Fulani Herdsmen Attack Enugu Community by VoodooDoll(m): 6:58am On Jul 19, 2012
Changes happen everyday and people lack trust.

Fulani herdsmen, rightly or wrongly, have a poor reputation. They could learn to chill in more accepting parts of the country until trust is rebuilt.

Nigeria is complicated and the ethnic groups don't really trust each other again.

wesley80: ^But of course! Semantics has always been the hiding place of the shame faced. Basically, I was right and you were wrong, I'm not gonna quibble over semantics with you and please, don't get petty with me.

@the liar known as Wesley80

The law and comprehending laws requires the proper use and understanding of diction.

PDP and its long line of "gollums" trot out misleading statements and lies on a daily basis. You opened a screaming headlined thread claiming people have been indicted by an investigative team. That was a lie. You have a history of lying and you always get called out as a liar.

You get "schooled" here everyday because like the wayward vagabond you are, you failed to listen to your teachers.

Stop lying, no one has been indicted, and until the attorney general and his underlings wake up from slumber, no one will be indicted. AIG, Farcrook and GEJ are wasting tax payers' resources, time and goodwill.

@Wesley80, did you go to school?

Once again you've proved your stupidity.

A little knowledge is dangerous in an illiterate's hand. We are talking about a legal process here not the 1st person informal use that you clumsily highlighted and which just further exposes you as a sycophantic member of the 40 man cacophony of clowns with laptops!
Politics / Re: Fuel Subsidy Probe, Aig's Cmtee Indicts 50 Mktrs Exonerated By Farouk! by VoodooDoll(m): 1:09am On Jul 16, 2012
What a misleading headline!

"identify for possible criminal prosecution" is not the same as an indictment.

Nobody has been indicted, not until they are formally charged by a prosecuting lawyer.

Let's not call a puppy an attack dog. When the attorney general or his underlings wake up from slumber to actually indict somebody then we may be getting somewhere. Until then these morbid jokers and cacophony of clowns are just wasting taxpayers' wealth, resources and time!
Politics / Re: After Controversies: Why Oshiomole Won by VoodooDoll(m): 8:30am On Jul 15, 2012
I can't commend a man in his 50s who is still trying to differentiate his elbow from his buttocks.

Well done to Edo state voters, the candidates (PDP, ACN, LP, CPC and others) for not dragging this out - at least I have not heard about disputed results or court cases.

Nigerians, we have to protect our votes because the politicians (from all parties) are thieves!

Politics / Re: why the silence on The Port Harcourt Petrol Inferno? by VoodooDoll(m): 10:15pm On Jul 13, 2012
They're both sad losses. The tragic truth is that the people that died in the Dana crash are part of the vocal middle classes from Lagos and Abuja. Additionally plane crashes are rarer than petrol tanker crashes. Nigerians may also feel empathy to those that died simply going from A to B or sitting in their homes when the plan crashed.

Empathy for people Nigerians feel went to get /scoop fuel is not felt as the thinking is that "they went to find trouble", whether or not that is true or justified.

Tragic loss of lives in both cases that needs to be investigated and reoccurrences prevented.

ROSSIKE: Shouldn't she be telling this to her boss, GEJ? I mean, she sees the guy virtually every day.

NOI is a broken record, only wheeled out during civil disturbances. Apart from such occasions she is generally ignored, all her experience amounts to an ant's fart if the common man on the street is still below the poverty line and FGN is still stealing and wasting billions.

oyb: the gej administration

one week one scandal

i swear, this man will go down in the annals of history and it WILL be nasty

GEJ's fall will be the stuff of legends. A tale of woe and shame to warn future aspirants and ladder climbers. I fear his fall will indeed be televised, in that terrible African way of televising fallen "rulers". A fall that will make his relations rue their connections to him, I just hope his boot lickers are close by to share in his fall when it happens.

Politics / Re: Patience Jonathan Received Salary From Bayelsa Since 1999 by VoodooDoll(m): 10:33pm On Jul 12, 2012
ndu_chucks: I have to admit that many of you are clueless. I suppose you have not yet received the memo stating that Dame Jonathan will return every penny she has been erroneously paid. Abati will issue a statement of condemnation regarding this issue in 24-48hours. Let bad belle people go and hug a you-know-what. If my tongue were not in my cheeks, I'd tongue lash you people even further. embarassed

WOW... GEJ's spouse received over 150 monthly cheques ([from 1999 to 2012] 13 years x 12 months = 156), and it is only when there is an outcry that you claim she will pay what she was erroneously paid.

She sat on her buttocks and spent each and every monthly payment she received and then waits for an outcry to whisper repayment (over 150 monthly payments...) WOW, tell me another story as GEJ and his clowns are obviously making a movie. grin

Ethical standards state that Perception of impropriety in matters of serious national interest is as bad as actual impropriety as it discolours and discredits the outcome and or deliverables.

Access Bank MD should respectfully step down so as not to waste even more of taxpayers wealth and the public's goodwill.

But, this is Naija so he will probably not resign but throw two fingers to naysayers.
Politics / Re: Patience Jonathan Received Salary From Bayelsa Since 1999 by VoodooDoll(m): 7:36pm On Jul 12, 2012
So she has been on "leave" since 1999, that's 13 years.

So, 13 years x 12 monthly salaries = 156
Less: a few months missed = say (6)
Total number of months paid = 150

Monthly salary = say N1m.

Over the last 13 years, Mrs GEJ may have pocketed a cool N150m

GEJ is always on top of the situation.
Politics / Re: Patience Jonathan Appointed Perm. Sec By Bayelsa Governor by VoodooDoll(m): 6:42am On Jul 12, 2012
I'm guessing she was appointed because she has excelled in her previous position, which was [ ]?

Only in Nigeria, but she does have the right to have an income separate from her husband's, even if this looks like a gross abuse and manipulation of power.

GEJ and his team act as if actions no longer have consequences.

How fortuitous for Dangote, GCON, that his $40bn cement IPO is on schedule.

Given that Cement monopolisation is almost complete, should we assume flour IPO is next.

@Wesley80

Whatever man, just don't make stuff up (otherwise known as lying) and try to pass turds as muffins.

We're too far gone in the land of mediocrity to keep applauding gimmicks and infantile gestures wrapped up as "accomplishments". FGN is still populated and led by an incompetent man advised by even more incompetent clowns.

I got involved in debunking this particular turd the 40 laptop crew were laying because I could personally debunk it.
Politics / Re: Is Vulcan Energy LLC Really Going To Build Six New Oil Refineries? by VoodooDoll(m): 11:52pm On Jul 10, 2012
For the avoidance of doubt, Paul Allen's Vulcan PE is based in Seattle and not New York.

There is a certain clown who can neither read, write nor comprehend (Wesley80, I'm looking at you).

Wesley80, please for the sake of your sanity and your family's shame, go and speak with the FGN for your answers.....

Paul Allen does not own the right to "Vulcan" as a name or word, therefore anybody, you, the mad man in Yaba and the Almajiri in Borno can form a Vulcan blah blah and sign one million MOUs... that does not make it Paul Allen's Vulcan...
Politics / Re: Is Vulcan Energy LLC Really Going To Build Six New Oil Refineries? by VoodooDoll(m): 10:45pm On Jul 10, 2012
wesley80: There lies the problem. What's the source of your quote as its obvious to me that the article is mischievous. Here's a quote from the Reuters article you graciously provided thelink above: '(Corrects company name to Vulcan Petroleum, which is not related to Paul Allen's Vulcan Energy)

So why does your favoured article say otherwise? Has Paul Allen really got nothing to do with Vulcan Energy? BTW, the Reuters piece describes Vulcan Petroleum as an "affiliate" of Vulcan Energy.

Where did you see that? And how do you miss the clear correction at the top and then just plain make stuff up.

Do you think that if Paul Allen's Vulcan PE was involved that the headlines would be so lame and tame, and that FGN would not demand or seek to bask itself in the reflected glow of Microsoft. Bloomsberg would have [blown up] with news alerts, news comments, articles. The WSJ, FT and newswires would have jumped that Nigeria is the next China blah blah blah.

Sometimes I do wonder whether computers and smart phones should be allowed for all, as some are clearly to dull to use it as they unleash their immense buffoonery on us all.
Politics / Re: Is Vulcan Energy LLC Really Going To Build Six New Oil Refineries? by VoodooDoll(m): 10:36pm On Jul 10, 2012
Nigeria we hail thee.

How can a $4bn refinery contract be announced and suddenly become an orphan. No father or mother has come out to claim it.

In a saner country there would be clear information on:
- the backers;
- the funding structure;
- the timelines;
- the infrastructure to be built;
- the potential impact on local communities; and
- a media machine that will provide information on a continuos basis.

But in NIgeria, the focus is more on illusions, tricks, games, praise singing, gullible and fawning thanks, and a great big fat heist.

This "Vulcan" entity is probably just another fantastic plot to exploit Nigerians.

the truth is these venture firm undeniably can be dodgy.

My Guy.......

Paul Allen's Vulcan is not related to the "Vulcan entity or entities" that signed that MOU, you were told News outlets will be correcting. A link has been provided to Reuters "correcting" their erroneous reporting, all other reputable news outlets have also updated:

http://af.reuters.com/article/nigeriaNews/idAFL6E8I2GKX20120702

culled from the link:
(Corrects company name to Vulcan Petroleum, which is not related to Paul Allen's Vulcan Energy)

You will note the original Reuters article was dated 2 July 2012, so after June 26.

Vulcan Capital (Paul Allen's vehicle) will not be releasing a Nairaland specific update nor updating its news feed for the sake of Nairaland doubters....

So, believe what you will.
