IF you have more data or evidence to add to assess the impact to the common man please do.

So far, the data above suggests the common man is unemployed, his children die at birth, and the ones that survive will be indebted to foreigners all over again....

Yet, Governors and the President are pulling teeth over stoooopid things!

How does one assess GEJ's performance since he got into executive office in 2007 as VP, and as President since 2010.

Nigeria's problems did not start with GEJ, but the data suggests that he is not helping matters at all at all!!!

Jesse Jackson has been hoodwinked by liars, scam artists, rogues and charlatans!

This same Jesse Jackson that was unaware that his son Jr was stealing from the public purse in Chicago is now the commentator on GEJ!

Jesse Jackson is renowned for the Civil Rights movement but not well regarded as someone who can spot liars, scam artists, rogues and charlatans!

Gbawe: Which mature adult, able to reason functionally, will not admit that high recurrent expenditure is the bane of Nigeria's development? What has GEJ done in regards to this problem? I will jog memories here. He said and I quote "leaner government not possible" immediately after being sworn in as President in 2011. In fact GEJ even went further to solidify his position as an enemy of what is best for Nigeria by vengefully disbanding the Presidential advisory committee that had advised him to urgently cut recurrent expenditure, harming Nigeria's progress, by reducing hideous profligacy (ten Airplane Presidential fleet) superfluous and duplicated government offices and general largesse. Yet emotional and clannish folks will never have the maturity to recognise this monumental failings against the Nigerian people. A "Performing" President will never be one, with ten airplanes and N1 billion food budget et al , who worsens our biggest problem. As simple and as straightforward as that. Whether clannish and immature folks wish to admit it or not, Emeka Anyaoku raise point below about the fundamentally profligate set-up of Nigeria any mature adult will admit GEJ is deliberately propping up.

Everything does not begin and end with pointing out what OBJ and Yar Adua did not do, as a cheap attempt by clannish elements, to hide the fact that GEJ is nothing but a failure like those two.

GEJ is out to get as much as he can as quickly as he can and everyone and everything else be damned. He will happily turn the whole country, including the SS into a war zone on his departure just so he can fill his elongated and rent seeking stomach.

The most irritating part is the clannish way his sycophants run around him just because he is from the same region, as if that is what will bring about simple infrastructure development or even basic improvements in quality of life.

PointB:

lol. I had to rub it in with that. Frankly it takes more than luck to win Nations Cup though, support from respective arm of government do help though.

In anycase, you are right GEJ is not worst administration, and we all want to him to improve in so many ways and areas. But to say he is not giving it a good shot is stuff the opposition and hypocrites are made of!

If the last three years are his "best shot" then he needs to vamoose from the stage in 2015.
Politics / Re: Northern Elders To President: Your Administration Worst In Nigeria History by VoodooDoll(m): 10:34am On May 27, 2013
GEJ has been in the executive office now for six years, three as president. Yet his only success is winning an election. What a pathetic creature!

A creature and performance so bad that even the wretched and corrupted leadership in the North can point their fingers at him and appear blameless!

No specifics, just bland rubbish.

She should tell her husband and his troop of lower level primates to invest in:

- primary and secondary education infrastructure (why is the budget high on recurring but low on capital expenditure)

- health care (including preventative care)

- power generation and transmission

- provide jobs for the young and the working class

She and her damned husband are just a huge embarrassment!

Nigeria: Emergency - Anger at President Jonathan's Attempt to Seize Funds

The Proclamation Act of 2013, which vests on President Goodluck Jonathan the power to withhold and administer the funds meant for the three states currently under emergency rule, is drawing flaks from the elected officials of the states, LEADERSHIP Sunday investigation has revealed.

President Jonathan recently declared a state of emergency in the three states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa, citing insecurity caused by the activities of Boko Haram.

Consequent upon the declaration and relying on the provisions of Section 3(1) paragraph (d) and (e) of the Proclamation Act 2013, the president is vested with the powers to utilise funds meant for the states and local government areas in the states under the emergency rule, contrary to the provisions of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.

It has been revealed that stakeholders in the affected states would soon be heading for the apex court for interpretation of the provisions of the constitution as regards funds accruing to the states, especially if the president reserves any right whatsoever to either withhold or administer such funds.

LEADERSHIP Sunday findings further revealed that the stakeholders are contending that Section 3 (1) paragraph (d) and (e) of the Proclamation Act 2013 is in conflict with the provisions of Section 162-164 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, as these sections of the constitution give the states the right to earn and administer their resources.

"The fundamental question is this: whether having regard to the provision of Section 305(1) of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, the president has powers to tamper with the funds meant for the states and the local government areas? More so, the provisions of Section 3(1) (d) and (e) of the Proclamation Act 2013 is inconsistent with the provisions of Section 162 -164 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, which deals with state fund. Therefore, the Proclamation Act is unconstitutional, illegal and void to the extent of the inconsistency of the constitution," one of the stakeholders who spoke to LEADERSHIP Sunday said.

The source maintained that it is unconstitutional for the president to touch any dime meant for the affected states.

"Section 305 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, vests the president with the power to declare state of emergency in any part of the country where there is complete lawlessness. This section vests power on the president where there is security problem. There is nowhere in the constitution where the constitution states explicitly that the president has powers to remove democratically elected governors and/or dissolve democratic structures, hence the existence of democratically elected governors and structures in the three affected states. The governors remain the chief executive officers of their respective states, vested with all constitutional powers to execute their functions," the source further stated.

The source maintained that the president has no power to tamper with funds meant for the states and local governments to fund security operations, as such funds are provided for in the Appropriation Act, as Section 162 (3) of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, clarified.

Take this week:

The President was right to take steps to restore order in a region that was quickly becoming ungovernable.

But now we hear GEJ can't even be bothered to properly convey and gazette the instructions to the National Assembly...

Is that respecting our laws!

The chap is a joker and a clown who still struggles to tie his shoe laces!
Politics / Re: Why Dont Nigerians Trust And Respect GEJ? by VoodooDoll(m): 12:42pm On May 18, 2013
GEJ hasn't earned our trust and respect.

Govt is supposed to fear the people.

Why doesn't GEJ fear, respect and trust Nigerians, our laws, our territorial integrity, our norms, our fiscal policies and rights?

The truth is that he "does not give a damn" and his attack dogs (online and offline) appear to have been given carte blanche backing to threaten fire and brimstone if he is not returned in 2015.

The onus is not on We the People to trust and respect public servants, it is for those public servants who by their actions have soiled the public office to have the onus on them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week all year round.

Paschal007: Mind how you talk to the fingers that feed you. If feel that niger deltas are trying to bomb your land ask them to leave the country(with their oyel. Expect no aid package.)

Niger delta militants are many things but i don't think they're suicidal. How do you explain the suicide bombers? One 1 region with a certain religious mind set is capable of that.

As you usual you're scared of them ain't you? tongue

If the SS wants to exit the contraption called Nigeria there are constitutional ways to go about it. The CIC is their man, the Finance and Oil ministers are from their region. They are free to go.

All this 'oyel' talk is misplaced and demonstrates cowardice and castrated thinking...

Don't walk like a crab and hide like a turtle. Speak clearly and state what you want. All the dust that's being raised in a careless way will eventually need a place to settle....... at this rate it would be a major sandstorm if care is not taken.
