Dear nairalanders,

I was born and brought up in southwest and studied in one of federal universities in southeast.

Now that I've done NYSC registration and waiting for call up letter, should I be getting ready to travel a northern state or where do you think I will likely be posted to for a year service.

Thanks.
You can be posted anywhere except your state of origin. Just be an optimist

You were making sense until you switched to tribally insulting him (even based on mere assumption that he is igbo).
You're definitely part of the problems of this country.

Secondly, he does have a point about how young, skilled Nigerians should leave this country as soon as they can because this government is hell-bent on tarnishing any developments from young professionals.

Lastly, what he wrote on that post was a bit hyperbolic, he was speaking out of emotions I reckon.

Lol, reading this I can sense depression.
You write childishly, read what you wrote again, so stup!d.

From your write up you said you will cure your generation and any of them who enter Africa will die immediately.

And from your last paragraph, you said even if you VISIT Africa it will be another country. THE SAME AFRICA..

ARE YOU NOT STUP!D LIKE THIS?
You are an Igbo no doubt, people like you will engage in drug trafficking once you enter one of those countries, stop deceiving those you can deceive with your disguise as a programmer.

Oh yes that's why I tell people all the time to learn coding. Infact I have told gerrard59 that when God blesses me the only thing I will do for my homeland is opening a very huge IT centre with a ton of computers for my kinsmen to learn programming. Before I became a programmer I was a mechanic o. I was a mechanic and an auto parts trader with my engineering degree. No job anywhere. I went to volunteer at a mechanic workshop and learnt to fix cars. Left there and went back to ladipo. I was struggling day in day out yet no single Kobo. To even see a 100k in a month was like a huge amount after all expenses were done. It was hell. Even with all the skills I had. I knew digital marketing, how to fix cars yet nothing o. it was a very top guy in the Nigerian tech industry that told me to quit everything I was doing and learn coding. It wasn't easy but everyday I thank God I took that man's advise.

Infact the greatest thing that can lift Nigeria out of poverty now is programming but the greatest hindrance is a laptop and laptops aren't getting cheaper. the laptop I used to learn coding I got it for 75k the same laptop is being sold for at least 140k just in the span of a year.
I lost a transcription job from the US, due to my inability to get a laptop. A laptop that is not more than 150k. 150k had become a billions of naira for most Nigerians to get

Poverty is just a big disease seriously.

In 2000, no one envisaged people would be kidnapped and huge ransoms paid to have them released. Ten years later, kidnappings became rife.

Prior to the late 2000s, no one believed Nigerians will indulge in suicide bombings. Ten years later, suicide bombings became a norm. In 2010, no one ever thought that school children would be kidnapped, raped and some killed or ransoms close to N1BN will be paid for their release. Just more than ten years on, such is rampant.

Currently, aircrafts are being shot down. By 2031, it will become a norm for aircrafts, commercial and military, to be shot down daily.

The Nigeria of today will be a paradise to the Nigeria in the next ten years.

Op I pray you take this comment into consideration. As a teacher, good early years foundation is very important in a child's education. My son was initially in a school I pay 16k per term but he could not meet up to my expectations .
I recently changed his school to where I teach and it's very expensive (104k) with discount and I'm glad that he has picked up drastically. He can now sound a-z, rote count numbers from 0-50, identify number symbols 1-15 but with little promptings, he can as well assign number quantities all these in just 3rd term although I still would like that he repeat preschool 1 because his mates (3yrs) are already adding altogether simple additions and can sound and blend CVC words.
Pls give your child the best foundation, it's worth it and it will definitely pay off.
succinctly

You've said it all already. The output of your child/ren meeting your expectation as a parents/guardians is paramount.

Anyway me I will not change their school cos I love the school, but I will be paying small small. I no fit shout, since they dont want be considerate. And it's a church school for that matter, one of the biggest churches in Nigeria now.If I have 10k today I will go and pay at least by the end of the session I would have finished paying for all 3.
That's a good idea. Instalment payment

You won't really feel the burden of paying 3 kids school fees that much, compare to a one time payment

wrong advice.

it ought to be cut your coat according to the material you have and not your size.

Your size might require long sleeve and trouser or long skirt but the material you have will only do short sleeve and 3quarter shorts/skirt.

if you insist on what your size/status requires, it will cause undue pressure & this has led to broken homes and all manner of vices.
In a nutshell, cut your coat according to your cloth/materials

People often made this quote wrongly smiley

Many uni pay almost half of that as acceptance ...

And still pay up to 45k as fee per session .

So its still one of the few cheapest unis
my tuition fee, medical, acceptance fee and other payments through out my studentship at uni was 110k. That's even less than what uniben and some other schools pay for freshers

Mind you, i just graduated.

Whenever I remember my brother went to public primary school and public secondary school and his now a competent lawyer... My doubt about high school fees is increasing
I'm also a product of public school. From basic to college. I also came out of the class in college.

Nevertheless, the role of private owned institutions cannot be overempherciced

My kids most attend ivy league institutions by God's grace. There's a difference between a child who attended a top notch private owned institution to a child who attended a public institution.

I got a free education all through because my parents couldn't afford a private institutions.

That doesn't make it the best choice. You know if what we desire isn't available, the available ones becomes our desires

Tertiary institutions owned by the government (Federal or state) had been subsidised. You don't make comparism based on that. This is a private owned institution. Government owned tertiary institutions are almost free. You can see the amount private tertiary institutions pay per session. That's the difference. Most state government owned primary and secondary schools are almost free too. Anything government had been subsidised. Even the health sectors got subsidised. The amount you pay in a private owned clinic differ from that of the government.

If you must make comparism, let it be on neutral ground.

So yours is even high for a northern uni

Only foolish boys go back to a lady that once turned them down.

The moment a girl or lady turns you down or act up....please forget her, delete her and move on......of course with time you will look back and laugh at yourself for ever making attempt to woo her because she will be uglier than your current taste of women, and that's only if you are progressing financially yourself though.

I wonder what makes some mumu guys go back to a lady that once turned them down, for whathuh When there are millions of dazzling super gorgeous hot ladies littered all over the world...all you need is little financial comfort and some cash to do vacations (local and foreign) and you will be amazed at the number of super beautiful ladies longing for a man like you cool
With this your writeup, no sensible/sane lady will ever consider you for a relationship. You actually don't have genuine love for the lady. You have a motive, which she was perhaps lucky to see that in you.

Best of luck to your journey in making money to buy your type of women

sacrifices of what cost you much is the love we talk about.its not about poems or calls.....men work very hard, earn stuffs and are ready to sacrifice all they got for. Woman

Women can never do such..its just to b singing love up and down...common the natural body God gave dem, they will still cheat on you....

Gals don't love a quarter of what men do...

Prove me wrong!
I beg to differ. Men also do carry their natural body to other girls to cheat even on their wife. If you will be honest with yourself. I'm a guy like you are. Naturally men cheat more than women. It's much easier for a woman to stay without sex unlike we men. Please don't get me wrong, i never said women don't cheat. Ofcourse they do. But men takes the lead.

The aspects of sacrifice. Women made lots of sacrifice than we men. While still dating, the men most times takes the lead, which is often in monetary terms. In marriage, women made a whole lots of sacrifice that you know.
