Ihedinobi: The Uchiha going on a rampage is a supposition on your part not an actual fact nor even an inferrable fact from the information in the manga. Tobirama started out with a rumor that he'd heard not a theory that resulted from any kind of observation. And you don't rumor about rampages because they're a bit too obvious.

Ihedinobi: My friend, if Madara's problem was Tobirama, he'd probably have simply killed the dude. it doesn't follow that it was his need for revenge that made him want to take the Uchiha out of the village. It was his concern that Tobirama was ruthless enough to try to wipe them out that informed his decision.

Ihedinobi: Wacky, you're better than this. There would have been no Danzo without a Tobirama. If Tobirama had not "quarantined" the Uchiha, the Uchiha would not have felt marginalized and unaccepted in the village. And if they hadn't felt like that, they may never have thought of a coup and if they never thought of a coup, Danzo would never have needed to exterminate them.

Ihedinobi: Lol. Imagine powerful Madara saying "no alliance with the Senju!" True, Uchiha would have been deserting to the Senju but there would have been no official alliance unless an Uchiha replaced Madara and offered the right hand of fellowhip to the Senju. And he could only do that over Madara's dead body which would not have been a mean feat to accomplish.

Put simply, Madara brought the Uchiha to the table. Without them, there'd have been no Konoha.

Ihedinobi: No. According to those manga pages, they were never going to accept him as Hokage. Tobirama even completely obliterated Madara's role in the founding of the village.

False suspicion? Was Danzo's work not resultant upon Tobirama's particular attitude toward the Uchiha? Did you note also the fact that the Uchiha's eventual choice of a coup to take control of the village resulted from the feeling that they were not treated like the rest of the village, they were sort of not-very-welcome-guests at the dinner table but guests you wanted to keep within your sights?



Then on this we can agree that Madara had reason to try to protect the Uchiha by asking them to leave the alliance.

Madara cared about the Uchiha, that much is pretty obvious. It is also within reason to believe that he loved the village and was willing to let go his feeling of vengeance for his brother's death to build the village that he named himself. He was a protector, not a war-monger. And that is where they wronged him.

Tobirama proved him right by starting a chain of events that eventually led to the annihilation of the entire clan. But even had that not happened, the clan should not have treated him as they did.

albridge: I guess its just an unwritten rule of breakup's, "never tell the other person why or they may feel bad about themselves". So the civil thing to do would be to just break up but not say why.

Isn't it the SAME second that expressed regret at the way the situation with the uchiha was handled?
Sasuke was lied to be everyone around him&that fueled his desire for revenge. Crushing the Hidden Leaf was the only way to get justice.

Is it not the SAME Naruto that struggled for acceptance early on as the 9 tails host that is now the darling of Konoha? What makes Sasuke any different? Is he far down the ladder that redemption can't find him?
