i am a victim of all these hate and envy,even from people i even consider friends

Whether we live or have lived abroad is not the point here. I know many Arabs here in the US who foolishily refer to themselves as white even though they are not and can clearly be identified as a non-white. Whether he's light or not he would still be a person of color if he's not caucasian.
