Linadinna: A Girl has insinuated on her social media page that schooling in Nigeria does damage to the brain and stated ways to put the brain in order if you schooled in Nigeria.
She said that if you know you schooled in Nigeria, a lot of damage have been done to your brain and you should put your brain in order by re-educating yourself.
On ways on how to re-educate yourself, she said you should please try and be watching Ivy League Professors on youtube, read wide because you might most likely have comprehension, communication, and analysis problem.

She would be ABSOLUTELY WRONG, ... only if Nigerian academic curricula are:
* Deliberately designed for realistic contemporary problem solving strategies and intergrated into the distant future, created by our visionary leaders
* In a perfect functional sync with the industries for which the students are being prepare, nad reviewed constantly to meet the needs of our country and the world at large
* To prepare and build students for self-sufficiency
Maximus69: That's not the way our Master Lord and King taught us Sir! Matthew 16:24
We can only assist by directing you to the scriptures that will help you to identify our movement! Matthew 11:2-6
Keep your eyes and mental powers wide open to recollect the group having these features:-
LOVE~Because the predominant attribute of God is LOVE {1John 4:8} his holy spirit will help imperfect humans who are supposed to be divided due to Racism and Politics to be united as one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers {John 17:20-23} this attribute will be so glaring that people from all the nations of the earth will keep saying about them "this religion is stupid but they have true love amongst themselves" John 13:34-35
JOY~ In the face of wars, pestilences, famine, sorrow and agony. God's own people will be noted for Joy {Isaiah 65:13-14} because of the abundance of the good things in their hearts {Luke 6:45} you'll notice them going to visit their neighbours with the good news from God {Matthew 28:18-20}
PEACE~ When all the people are confused and scared even in the midst of their fellow worshipers, God's people will be at PEACE amongst themselves {Isaiah 2:2-4} due to the presence of the Prince of Peace in their midst {Isaiah 9:6}
PATIENCE~ When all others are carried away into having serious issues leading to strife, anger and genocide. You will notice a group that's always having this unequaled PATIENCE! Matthew 26:52
FAITH~ When all others whose religious beliefs is based on credulity don't know the way forward, God's people will solidly be united in FAITH as they will zealously and industriously maintain their sacred service to God! Hebrew 11:1
HATRED or VILIFICATION~In all the nations you find them, despite all these fine qualities, you will hear people say "I just hate them" or "they're deluded". John 17:14 compare to Matthew 10:22-25
Have a flash back at all the religious groups you've encountered in the past, then think of the group having all these qualities. Galatians 5:22-23
God bless you!
Bless you too real good.
However, you've got such a great passion for your religious affiliation. That's why you should give us the name.
Of course the fruit of God's holy spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH, MILDNESS and SELF-CONTROL Galatians 5:22-23
But there is no way any of Adam's descendants can completely possess these nine qualities without the 1,000 reign of the Master, Lord and King Jesus Christ who had all these qualities through his long association with his father! John 8:28
The congregation of God (Christians) will reflect all these nine qualities as a group because the spirit of God is working with them but none of them can cultivate all completely! James 3:2
What Apostle Paul listed there are the nine qualities in Christ Jesus that we must possess before we can be granted the privilege to live forever. John 3:16
As you and i continue to associate with God's people (with which God's holy spirit is working) each of us will gradually begin to cultivate these qualities through the help of God's holy spirit and encouragement from fellow believers! Hebrew 10:24-25
So you must first IDENTIFY the congregation of true Christians not by individual's character because we are all born and bread in sin, but as their gathering reflects these nine qualities {Matthew 5:14-16} that is what will help you to know where God's holy spirit is working! James 2:18-26
Jesus said he will call many claiming Christians "workers of lawlessness/iniquity" because they are striving to justify themselves individually not as persons subjected to rules and principles binding on many as a group. Such persons will try to make themselves holy even when they're in a gathering of people whose gathering doesn't bring glory to God! Psalms 1:1
So our righteousness largely depends on the group we're associating with, because that's where we can know the law of Christ that's Paramount {Romans 10:2-4} not when we worship with one religion whose standards and morals totally contradicts others yet claiming we are all Christians!
For instance you must know between Deeperlifer ~ RCCG ~ CAC ~ Christ Embassy ~ Lord's Chosen ~ CELESTIAL ~ Jehovah's Witnesses ~ Catholic Church and the rest which group is reflecting the fruit of God's holy spirit. All these groups can't belong to the same Christ when their standards and morals totally contradicts!
Thanks!
Your point is that no one who is not affiliated to a particular church wil be able to receive the fruit of the spirit, hence won't make heaven?
Maximus69: How i wish the bolded is so but Jesus said there will be true and fake Christians! Matthew 7:21-23
So to help interested persons distinguish between the true Christians and false ones, Jesus said it's "by their fruit"! Matthew 7:15-20
Thanks!
Thanks, bro. My reference is principally to the tag Christianity. That you call yourself a Christian, and do some wonderful things that are expected of, doesn't make you one. It's by our fruit that we shall be known.
What's this fruit?
Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith," "Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."
Anyone without the above virtues isn't a complete Christian yet. However we can all ask the Holy Spirit to help and quicken our spirit.
[quote author=AdekunleSegun post=88846695]I saw a police officer sharing free Face mask today in Benin. I was so impressed and decided to share with my fellow Nairalander.
With the way personnel of the Nigerian Police force are always on news for the wrong reasons, I think this is really commendable. Not all police officers are bad.
Some are truly your friend.
She gave her name as W/INSPR Oyeyemi Akogun, attached to Ogida Division Benin City, as said she bought the face mask for her country people.
With the way the children, market women and bike riders were shouting "mama", I think this officer is loved by all.
nextstep: And his critics, including I, say it's better not to "desperately seek to explore any ideas that may just help" in a public conference, asking questions to a medical expert who is obviously: 1. hearing these questions for the first time 2. incredulous at the suggestions.
I saw the conference; I reviewed his comments; I also came to the same conclusion that the conjectures and explorations could be construed by a great number (ironically, most of his fervent fans) to mean: "try a bit of lysol/bleach/dettol... or expose yourself to tremendous doses of UV... it just might help."
Caution would have been better in the way of desperation, no doubt.
I guess we should approach this issue in the organic and fluid context in which he presented it.
He's definitely treaded carefully as not to appear as an expert making recommendations or so. These ideas are borne out of a President desperately seeking to explore all ideas that may just help.
Most of us would've been constricted into a tight corner as to hide from opposition news agencies in order to be found flawless at all times. This man is the boldest President in recent history. He's obviously not given to political correctness which most other national leaders are inflicted with.
His suggestion are pretty flawed. But then, look at him again in another light, he asked the expert openly and the press were there.
I refuse to allow the press determine narratives for me with which to engage the world.
1. Ground attack seems equivalent to counter-insurgency attack to me
2. What is the history of it's use - both successes and shortcomings
3. Could it be that it's tagged 'counter-insurgency' specifically for commercial purpose, especially if those countries engaged in counter-insurgency campaigns haven't been using it?
No intelligent persons or people ever worn a war with acidic emotions. They'll always be defeated even by weaker entities. Pick up a relevant history book.
Bottomline, misdirected emotional acid will perpetually position you at the bottom of the foodchain.
When you're out there be very careful with foreign female folks. If you reason them like you do our Naija women, you'll not repeat such a mistake.
She looks beautiful or catchy; She gives you a 'I'm interested' sign; You're Hot; Chemistry sparks; You're rod hijacks your reasoning faculty; Before you know it, sparks sets you ablaze pretty face; Bloom turns to irreversible gloom.
You may be 'lucky' with a few but, ... They can wreck one's career in a twinkle of an eye.
- Foodstuffs were sent to strategic families placed in different areas for easy distribution to other church members within the area.
Because where I live is easily accessible to most families around my area, I was chosen as a kind of depot.
Items received; 2 bags of rice, 1 bag of beans, 20 crates of eggs, carton of tin tomatoes, Sphagetti, indomie, 2 cartons of sardines, 2 cartons of cooking oil
I’ve already received calls from some families who’ll be coming to pick up their items once the curfew is over for the day. So I’ll simply draw an inventory where they sign after receiving the foodstuffs
A big shout out to my pastor for being a caring man of God and leading by example.
Note; This is the second batch I am receiving in two weeks.
I'm opening a post that has to do with Ex-BBN for the first time just to beg you guys to:
STOP DUMBING DOWN THE MASSES TWO THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY YEARS AFTER THE BIRTH OF CHRIST!!!!!!!
Has anyone seen ancient scripts and civilisations? People in the past should NOT be more purposeful, intelligent, intellectual, innovative, creative, conscious, informed, cerebrally advanced, cognitively strategic than modern day people.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH US?!!!
The world as we know it is about to change forever, you're still clinging to ridiculously petty things.
Cirilla: They are leaving because of yeebos. yeebos have a crime culture problem that needs fixing
One of the Nigerians arrested in US by FBI in biggest online scam crackdown. Many are yeebos
In the heat of the lynching of yebo citizens in Asia in 2013 over alleged criminality, I wrote an essay entitled, ‘The yebo fallacy’. In it, I appealed to the Igbo to de-emphasise the culture of profligacy, decadent opulence and vanity which fuels the pursuit of crime by their own. I also suggested the need for value re-orientation – a task that must be actuated by all groups – the age grades, unions and traditional institutions.
Really, it is enervating for me that my kinsmen are taking the inglorious front row in ‘’money crimes’’ – drug peddling and internet fraud – abroad.
In August 2016, an yebo drug dealer was guillotined in Indonesia. But his funeral in Anambra was a rambunctious shin-dig. He was even described as a “hero” by his people.
I have skimmed through the list of alleged online fraudsters indicted by the FBI, in what is regarded as the biggest scam bust in history, and I could see familiar names. It is heartbreaking for me. The refrain that criticising your own people for shortcomings is an act of sanctimony is obtuse. Crime has no ethnic face, but does that imply condoning or rationalising a persistent ill?
Thy have a problem. The yebos have a problem. Out of the 21 Nigerians on death-row for drug peddling in Indonesia, 20 are yebos – from Anambra
A few months ago, some armed robbers of yebo origin launched an attack on a bureau de change in Dubai, but they were arrested. It is painful, instead of exporting the durable products of Aba, we are exporting crime and violence. That Nigerians are a pariah in South Africa is partly due to the activities of some Igbo drug cartel.
But what happens when these drug gangs return to the south-east? A bazaar of bloodshed. A few years ago, there was a massacre at a church in Ozubulu, Anambra. The killings were linked to a drug war between rival gangs in South Africa. The gangs took their battle out of the turf to native soil. Really, we are baiting the hurricane.
And now, out of the 77 names listed for online fraud in the US, 74 are yebos. We have a problem. We cannot solve this problem by living in denial.
I agree, there are millions of them doing great things in there fields, but they must condemn the activities of these criminals among them. They do represent them, because their actions are capable of making an execrable impression of all them.
The argument that the yebis are marginalised and that they are deprived because of the civil war, so very few among them are forced into crime is puerile. This is a terrible way to rationalise a problem that dents the entire group. There is no excuse for crime.
One drop of dirt is enough to make a basin of water impure. We must have serious conversations on this atypical criminality.
We have a culture that glorifies ‘’money’’ crime – ‘’ego mbute’’ – the culture of money grubbing and worship, as the-be-all and end-all of everything. It is a pervasive culture, not limited to the yebos though.
They need value re-orientation, and this should be actuated by all groups – age grades and traditional institutions. They must stop celebrating people of unknown fortune. They must name and shame those with illicit wealth in there communities. They should upbraid them instead of giving them chieftaincy titles and front-row seats in church.
What exactly do they discuss at annual August meetings and town-union meetings? Enough should be enough. We cannot keep ignoring this filth.
They have a problem. A crime culture.
Excellent presentation! However, every society has a defiant or criminal fraction in its population.
The Ibos, Hausas, Fulanis, Yorubas, Ibibios, Nupes, Tapas, Ijaws, etc, none of them is clean.
The issue of moral decadence shouldn't be isolated to a particular people or nation regardless of the pattern. Why? Because, today, money is the object of worship in the contemporary world.
All modern societies are succumbing to this idolatry. This explains why God is not happy with humankind right now.
We must all repent from our wicked ways. Money is not everything. A saying goes like:
Some people are so poor that the only thing they have is money."
The house built with saliva will soon succumb to mere mist.
Let all religious leaders quit placing money and material things above God in the hearts of the people. Rather teach and implore them to seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness; to seek holiness and purity. These virtues and attributes inevitably bring more blessings than can be imagined.
And, in the same vein, let the religious leaders lead by example.
Warning: profiling or stereotyping religious leaders who are falling, compromised or fake is leads to destruction. No one will be saved because it's not their fault that they failed, but the misleading of their religious leaders.
No reasonable country in the world sees this much of wicked, callous, devilish, dark, warped acts of corruption and impunity before freaking themselves out of the bondage.
This may just be about the best time ever time demand for an immediate overhaul of our national structure.
What happens if, after 21 days or so of curfew in Nigeria, and the devastation to the economy, the deaths from extreme hunger, resulting crimes, and of infected persons,...
Some infected persons sneak in again through our porous borders
Tpharell: The same health minister who threatened a journalist for merely mentioning the name of the supposed aide of the president who contracted the virus. Anyone who watched the health ministers briefing of yesterday (Thursday) would understand what’s going on. His reaction when a journalist merely mentioned the name of the infected ‘presidential aide’ was epic! Despite the abundant evidence out there people in power are still trying to pull the wool over our faces. The way the journalist was accosted by mr minister suggests someone is under strict instruction to steer clear of the ABBA kyari issue.
It was incredible to see that a honorable Minister was in that state... makes you wonder what type of political system we're practicing as opposed to our democratic tag.
Tpharell: It doesn't require a lot of insight to see what is glaringly staring at us this very moment. Unfortunately, most posters on this thread can't see that and its simply heartbreaking.
I only hope that their dreadful prognosis will not come to pass. Carelessness of the leadership brought it upon us, multiplied it, and still can't handle and be truthful about it.
The NCDC is ignoring calls of suspected cases, and not returning test results to many tested cases.
Meanwhile, the honorable Health Minister had boasted that Nigeria can handle it.
