Numerouno94:Oga, why are you comparing Messi with Ronaldo who started his football career in Portugal and became notable in Sporting Lisbon; became World footballer of the year with enviable records in England winning the the tripple for Manchester United locally and in Europe; became a prolific striker in Real Madrid winning several Champions League and scoring record Hat-tricks infact, outscoring Messi on hat-tricks in Spain; left Spain for Italy and remained prolific for Juventus and Portugal. Abeg, Messi has been phenomenal for FC Barcelona only and average for Argentina. You can't compare him to the Authentic GOAT - CR7. This message is from those who really know and and acknowledge the authentic GOAT. |
blaise26abj:Never say never |
Officialgarri:Atiku is not just a successful business man; he is also a renowned politician. |
obi58:As a responsible and caring bank. Why not employ 60% of your current staff as permanent staff. Let the other 40% go into the labor market with reasonable payoff and stop engaging staff on temporary or casual basis. |
Freestainworld:Are you based in Nigeria? Have you ever been a casual staff? |
Why is ASUU unwilling to go on the platform? |
Forward77:Go and defeat Anthony Joshua |
Starz825:I get the impression that your guy no dey bleep his lady despite the time they have invested in the relationship. Was there an agreement between both parties not to have sex? |
Money05:That comparison is for those of you guys in the indomie generation that do private centre WAEC exams. I should think your mates can relate with that experience. |
Money05:It is amazing when we come across mumu that thinks another person is the mumu but not him. The September release you referred has no bearing on the awards that were presented today. Idiot. |
HBB1:I don't know that and I don't believe so. The election that saw GEJ out was postponed for some weeks but it didn't change the eventual loss to confused PMB. |
HBB1:Does extention change your final voting? What is the guarantee that the extension worked in favor of CR7 |
calculator123:Tell FIFA to publish the votings as presented by the captains and countries so we can be certain there was no manipulation. |
HBB1:That is an evidence that the process is manipulated, untrue and unfair representation of the voting. Hence the process is arguably perverted. Those were some countries that made their cases known officially or publicly. Some other countries kept quiet. FIFA is perverted hence, their opinion on the Male World Footballer of the Year is unacceptable and counterproductive. |
Expert17:It isn't about tears; it is about winning fairly. Messi didn't win fairly on a number of occasions and this is one of those occasions. |
HBB1:"However, Sudan’s coach Zdravko Lugarisic and Nicaragua’s Juan Barrera have alleged their ballots do not represent what they actually submitted. Barrera is reported to have said: “I did not vote for Messi. I was surprised to be on the list of captains who voted for Messi and there is no explanation how it appeared there.” Lugarisic was also listed as voting for Messi as his first choice but he has taken a screenshot to show he opted for Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. However FIFA insist the documents submitted by the Nicaraguan and Sudanese FAs were published correctly and arrived with official stamps. They have contacted the two FAs to inquire on the matter. Meanwhile, the Egyptian Football Federation claim their votes, by coach Shawki Ghareeb and captain Ahmed Elmohamady, were not included in the results. “The Egyptian Football Federation officially sent Egypt’s vote to Fifa on 15 August, four days before the deadline,” a statement by the Egyptian governing body read. "National team captain Ahmed Elmohamady voted while the Olympic team's manager Shawki Ghareeb voted after the resignation of the coaching staff.” It “asks Fifa why the Egyptian vote was not accepted” and has decided to open an “investigation” into the circumstances of this failure. In response to Egypt’s complaint, a FIFA spokesperson told Reuters: “The Egyptian FA have received two reminders to submit the properly signed voting forms on 19 August 2019. "The Egyptian FA has not submitted a response within the (limited) timeframe until Wednesday, 21 August 2019. “Therefore, the votes from the Egyptian FA could not be counted." After it was revealed Egypt did not cast a vote, Salah posted a message on Twitter. He tweeted: “Whatever they do to try to change my love for Egypt, they will not succeed.”" Credit - express.co.uk |

kingkakaone:Did you get the information that a number of countries contested their recorded votes as presented. Egypt's votes were recorded for Messi and Egypt came out afterwards to indicate that they voted for Sarah. The excuse later presented again was that they cancelled Egypt's votes. A number of countries also complained. In my opinion, the Male World Footballer of the Year award as organised and presented by FIFA is highly controversial and no longer a true evaluation of performance. |
calculator123:Who are the voters? I thought it is the club captains, team captains, national team managers and club football manager. So tell me why they can't be detrimental. FIFA should publish the votes so we see who voted for each player listed; if they wanna be open and objective about it. Messi and Ronaldo are doing great but there must be fairness and objectivity in the process if the organisers want that award to be relevant and valuable. |
calculator123:Not necessarily because Ronaldo lost but because of these reasons: 1. The process of selecting the winner especially the male world footballer of the year has become controversial, unobjective and sentimental. 2. It is no longer competitive and motivational because it seems to be the property of certain players despite the efforts of other players. Conclusion: Messi does not deserve the award this year like he didn't deserve it when he finished ahead of Xavi and Iniesta some years back. The general perception is that Modric didn't deserve it the last time he won it too. |
Honestly, this award ceremony has outlived it's relevance. It is no longer objective and motivational. |
jelel6:Why must you have Ronaldo there? His decision to attend the event or otherwise is strictly within his right. If you see him as proud then so be it. |
Yes, you should recommend him for the TSM job. |
NO! |
referandum:OK. Please ask Jonathan himself. |
referandum:Jonathan knows the interests he prioritised above the party's interests. |
Honestly, I will not wave off this speculation. I assumed it upon my review of the election that held in Bayelsa. I am not surprised at Jonathan's conduct if he actually did that. He is protecting his personal interests ahead of PDP's interest. |
Atouke:Air peace bank accounts are not frozen. |
mysteryman2014:He referenced West African market not east Africa or horn of Africa. |
I don't think he and the CFO should resign for the time being. The funds they moved to America which is the subject of the crime allegation is Air Peace money. They will have their day in court, the major mistake was to have warehoused the funds in separate accounts of third party organisations that have relationship with the Chairman and CEO. This made it more difficult to prove that the consolidated fund Is for purchase of airplanes. The third party organisations are not airplane vendors or manufacturers. The accounts must have been flagged a long time ago when they started moving the funds in bits so the argument that it is for airplane purchase is difficult to buy and the appropriate move would have been to warehouse the money in AirPeace domiciliary accounts/account in the USA in anticipation of the airplane purchase. |
I think the management of Tacha took a good decision to dissociate Tacha from Kemi Olunloyo. They are both controversial and Tacha's management is trying to re-brand Tacha to achieve a change of public perception of her. They can't afford to associate her with Aunty Kemi. It is also wise for Aunty to stay away from Tacha and appreciate her from afar if she likes her so much. |
jeph19:Never admit extramarital affairs except when caught pants down. It is often more devastating for your wife and she will never forget that you looked her in the face and confessed. |
