I think Africans countries talk too much without action. If our governments can reciprocate this travel ban on foreign nationals (British and Americans), then they’ll be weary of making draconian rules like this .but no we will only be making noise on blogs

For a BA cancelled flight from Nigeria, they offered me a voucher that was the cost of the ticket but I rejeted it and then they offered me a cash refund which was almost the cost of the ticket. The flight was cancelled but then operated the next day. They put passengers in Hilton and flew us to the UK the next day but I still asked for compensation and got it. If they offer you a voucher for a cancelled flight and you do not want it, ask for cash instead although voucher value may be more than what you paid.

These days (pandemic era) you’ll either take that voucher or forfeit the entire fee. They ”BA” are not the reason why flights are cancelled, it’s the UK government. It’s always advisable to read the T&C before booking flights. People that booked through third parties would be crying now unless they have travel insurance

Boss I think the could be away out , Benin �� is not yet on the red list, when dubai ban Nigerian cos of covid I know people that got to dubai from there, but I think it require a little risk. My flight is for 24 dec back to Uk and I heard the will be review on the 20th so I don’t want to take any step yet. But you can actually get into Benin �� and come back to Lagos and book your flight on the 11 day and move . Note you will be stamp legit but coming back to Lagos you know nau . Please I am not saying anyone to commit crime ooo just saying what is possible .

This advice won’t be applicable to @justwise becuz he already has a return ticket. Besides have you checked the travel requirements for foreigners into Benin republic or you think Benin republic is as porous as our Nigeria ……
Best advice if you can afford to pay for quarantine is to wait it out. Dirty December no be do or die

The best thing is for your friend in the Uk to book the Uber for you when you arrive from the airport to her house… that would save you the hassle.
Your card might not work. Call her when you are in the airport (terminal) and she can book you that way

Knowing your rights, is importanter.......... You did not have a transit visa, yet you boarded....... That supervisor request, was your masterkey......

This transit visa wahalla made me cancel my flight with Lufthansa from LHR to PHC.

How does one get a fit to fly certificate after having to shift a flight due to testing positive for corrobucci? since it is said that one who tests positive will likely return a positive test weeks after the first one and not advised to do another one.

You can call the NHS covid helpline and speak to them. If I get the correct number I’ll post it here for you

Oh ok! Was told that I need to do covid test in Nigeria 7days after arrival and present at the airport when returning to the UK.

You’ll just do that day 7 test for Naija. It’s usually 7 days after you enter naija. (you’ve already paid for it via the Nigeria travel portal). but nobody will ask you for the results because they’ll see it on there system that you’ve done it. At least nobody asked me.

No other test is required for fully vaccinated travellers on your way out of Naija. Just those things started on .gov.

I only booked the day 2 lateral flow test using boots.co.uk and it was delivered to my house before I arrived yesterday. This morning I did the test at home and uploaded the result on there site…
At MMA they asked for my passenger locator form, NHS vaccine pass or proof of vaccination and proof of day 2 lateral flow test.

I’m in port harcourt now on a 2 weeks visit.
Do I require a negative PCR test in Nigeria to fly back into UK as a fully vaccinated UK resident ?…
I can see that the Nigerian travel portal is still requiring me to fill out and go pay for PCR test in Nigeria before I return ..
Even though the UK doesn’t need Covid-19 test to enter from fully vaccinated residents.
What do you advice?
