I have a question I have always wanted to ask.

What is the difference between normal meat and halal meat, please.

The animals must be slaughtered by hand, not by machine. Once killed, all blood must be completely drained off since consuming fresh blood isn't permissible. The certification for halal meat might be a bit strict, even when it comes to fish. Farm-raised fish isn't considered halal.

Even here we were reminded how 'the quality of care' might drop by letting in Africans via the care route or better put those who do not have passion for care but rather want to emigrate. Like anyone wakes up and has a passion to wipe another and be insulted while at it.
If the British system is so passionate about quality, then they ould make care giving a degree programme so natives with passion can take up student loans to learn it. Or better still, increase the hourly wage to £20ph to attract locals.

What's annoying is that incoming care workers have been shoehorned into a state of low wage, reduced social mobility and solitude (as they cant effectively bring family). No wahala after a while they would become citizens. They also have mental health and can also have fibromyalgia. Good thing is nothing exposes you to everyday British life working in community health and care

Got two different tickets for wrong parking and also another ticket for parking in my own residence car park o (funny enough I have been parking freely there for over 6 months)
When contested & enquired for the ticket issued, they referred me to my landlord whom in returned claimed its not included in the contract. (I quickly checked and truly car parking was not mentioned and I feel this was deliberate).

1: pay for one of the private parking spaces in your residence.
2: look for private car park around where you live

I am currently in the uk working for bank as a financial crime investigator, although I am still on my probation stage.i was suspended for gross misconduct(legitimacy of reference(uk)) I provided for them during my background checks,initially this check came back successful but months into my employment ,I was suspended for the reason above.after fact finding meetings I had with my manger,my case was moved to disciplinary hearing. I am confused as to what to do ,should I resign with immediate effect which I have read that the company can sue for breach of contract as I have a week’s notice or should I go for the hearing and defend myself.
Note:their concerns is for the reference I provided with a company I did bootcamp and voluntary opportunity with. I actually worked on cases with this company with the duration I put in my cv.

It being a financial institution means it going to end up with you getting fired. If you still intend to work within banking you should honourable resign. From what you’ve stated the decision has been made ( they now believe you are not a honest employee). In your resignation later give them the weeks notice. Call in sick or something to lapse with the expiration of your notice period. Nobody would sue you cuz you still under probation and are eligible to get fired anyways

Oga reorganise your question. Do you mean his Right to work document/ residents permit? Or Nigerian passport? If it’s a job in the UK then it doesn’t matter the status of his Nigerian passport. What matter is his right to work in the UK/ Residents Permit

You can use any of the creams that have been suggested above. make sure your body is still a bi wet while applying the cream that way it blends into the skin easily. That’s what I do

Hi folks I need help ,I received a package specifically 21st of may from Nigeria ,I live in Belfast Northern Ireland UK ,to my surprise I got a mail from UPS just 3days ago asking me for payment of unpaid invoice to the tune of 272 pounds (taxes and duties ) for a package of 27KG and declaration value of about 50 pounds ,I’ve contacted the agent(paid him 5k per kg before sending ) In Nigeria he said he paid for shipment that what UPS is asking for is receivers taxes and duties ,I really don’t know what to do ,I’ve called and emailed UPS severally they keep saying that’s the amount to be paid ….Anyone with solution to this problem

I believe the problem her/she is referring to is “Road awareness and road positioning”. If this is not tackled urgently they might keep getting traffic violations or even get into a serious accident/collision. Nigeria drives on the other side of the road which is different from the uk. Few years back the wife of an American diplomat killed a biker because she was driving on the wrong side of the road……

In addition to the above state. I think you should just switch over to another provider and pot your old mobile number to the new network provider easy as ABC

This reminded me of I situation I witnessed. I was parked on the lay-by behind a black Benz and someone came out of the car went into the nearby bush and came out with a 20 Litre of diesel, put it i his boot and drove off. I took down the plate number. 2 weeks later I was back at the same lay-by then notice same car pulled up. I brought out my phone discretely and started recording. The occupant of the car did the same thing he did 2 weeks ago but this time I had it all on video. He was looking all over his shoulder trying not be seen. My assumptions are that this guy must be a truck/lorry driver that is stealing diesel off his work lorry and hides it in the bushes to come back days after to use for his personal car. I am still fighting within myself wether to report this guy or just allow it…. What has been seen cannot be unseen

Keep your money invested in some funds in the UK. When you're ready to retire, if your wish is still to move to Nigeria, withdraw the money and build what you want then. You can buy land now sha - just make sure you do it securely and be sure that you have actually bought and own it. You can rent it out (documented - even if just for a nominal fee) for someone to farm on or operate a shop etc. Don't leave it bare.

The volatility of the Naira means your money will likely appreciate more in the UK over time, although inflation will likely make building material prices rise in Nigeria too so you have to think about that.

For me though - I'd say the hassle of dealing with the construction from abroad and also managing tenants directly or indirectly is not worth it, and it's absurd to build a house you'll leave empty for years.
