Crime › Re: 2-Year-Old Strangled To Death By Housemaid For Refusing To Wear Her Clothes by We4all: 12:19pm On Jan 13, 2020
Evil is always lurking around the corner! NEVER, I repeat, NEVER entrust the life of a child in the hands of a stranger.

Child bearing isn't for showing off alone and comes with lots of responsibilities. If you ain't ready to shoulder those responsibilities, then don't birth a child. Your child deserves your absolute love, care, guidance and protection. And if you can't give her that, then you have no business in being a parent.

For someone who wants to settle down with a Nigerian but not sure what it costs, What is the average cost of Bride Price in your area?
Our married folks on here please help us out.

Please use this format in your reply.

The cost involved in planning a wedding is relative. The traditional marriage cost depends on the girl's state of origin, and family. Other expenses depends on what you can afford.

But, I guess you should have parents, siblings or relatives in Nigeria. I think they're in a better position to advise you.

The guy: I know that why I want u to come & do it
My girl: lol

The guy: I wanted to see something thats why I called u on video but u were hiding in the dark

My girl: no light

My girl: I don't want to disturb my sister with my noise

She was in the same platoon with this guy embarassed

To think that i engaged her few months ago. Plus i have already taken drinks to her parents!!! embarassed cry

Have you ever cheated on her? If you haven't, then confront her and initiate a break up. If you have, then make an open confession and ask her to do the same. Then, you two should start afresh on a clean slate.

The truth is, the level of promiscuity among our youths is quite alarming and no one can be trusted. Guys used to be the randy ones, but it seems ladies are now giving them a run for their money.

You sound too aggressive, and that may be the reason why you keep scaring girls away. And no, being an adult doesn't mean you should do what you like. It means, you should do what is right so kids can emulate you
Family › Re: Man's First Name Or His Surname by We4all: 11:55pm On Jan 12, 2020
A name is just a name, and if a husband, wife, son or daughter decide not to use the family's name, then fine by me.

In this part of the world, we attach too much important to trivial issues, and 'family's name' is one of them. I believe everyone should have their own identity. As a matter of fact, in a few days time, I'll have a name different from my family's name. It's my way of creating my own identity.

parents have hammered it into little girls' heads that they should not allow men to touch them intimately.
You sent her elder one out then tried to touch her, which probably set off all the alarms in her head.

for your own good, don't ever try that kind of shit again.
If it was in the US, you could be in prison now. It's her words against yours.
SHe could say you were trying to touch her bumbum or something like that. Don't touch/carry kids when there are no adults around. it's too dangerous these days.

I am tired of sitting at the bus stop or attending events looking for a woman of my choice. I have decided to go the online way this year.

FYI, I am a single father.
I need a slim (with some flesh) fair complexioned woman. Fair could be yellow or any colour that is not too black because I am a dark guy. Between 33 to 40year is fine. A Yoruba specifically from Osun, Oyo or Kwara and must be working or doing business (please not a make up artist o).

Edited... A prayerful woman. With prayers we can achieve a lot

My contact is startright250@yahoo.com
How old are you? Were you once married? If yes, what happened with your ex wife? If no, then why didn't you marry your child's mother? And by the way, how old is your child? Is she/he staying with you?

I'm asking all these cos I may have a candidate for you.
Family › Re: Ever Been Betrayed By A Close Family Member? How Did You Get Over It. by We4all: 6:30pm On Jan 12, 2020
Madisonsqua:
Please pardon the epistle, I'm a family guy who put my family first in all my decisions due to my upbringing and position in the family....my father single handedly provided and trained the 4 of us through school as my mum never had a job due to recurring illness......I moved overseas few years ago and settling down wasn't easy. But one thing my father kept telling me even before I got my first job was to invest back home.....after paying up all the loans I incurred from funding my travel, I saved hard and invested all my savings in a few plots of land running into millions. To secure the land I was advised to do the fencing just to mark my territory as Im not ready to develop it yet.

I respect and love my immediate family so much that I can't go a week without talking or skyping them. Dad is a senior pastor in one of the Pentecostal churches that preaches holiness and righteousness which was the basis of my trusting him....but he completely betrayed my trust when I sent some money to commence the fencing....

P.s I've not been selfish to my family. I spent close to a million on gift and their welfare that same year...and even promised to get them a car as soon as I can afford it...

Instead of commencing the project, he decided to spend the money on a car just because he couldn't wait. The worst part of it was that he warned my 3 younger siblings not to tell me about it until he's able to get back the money. Which they knew might never happen....But I got to know from an outsider after 6 months.

Whenever I asked my dad about the project, his excuse had always been the rain stopping them from commencing, not knowing the money was gone. When I confronted my siblings, they confessed he had warned them not to tell me. Then I confronted my mom who later confessed and apologized....till today my father hasn't call to explain anything to me. Instead he chose to be mad at his wife for confessing to it and even raised his voice when I questioned him.

Since that incident few months ago, the relationship between us has gone so cold and we barely talk anymore....he hardly call and I don't call him either....I had forgiven him but I can't forget. I'm so discouraged now that I don't see myself sending any more money in the nearest future. I don't even care about the land safety anymore...this is affecting me mentally, I wish to just let go but I can't....I feel taken advantage of by someone I trusted the most in this world.

Please for those who had been in this situation before what would u advise.......I feel like the strong and priceless connection I had with my parent is gone due to one person's decision.
Something similar happened recently to a distant relative. The lady in question spent years as a 'hustler' in Italy. She was always wiring money home to her older brother for a house project, and other projects. From what we learnt, the money ran into millions.

Well, things went south for her and she was deported. She came home in anticipation of starting live over, and realized no single project was in progress. And to worsen it, no money was accounted for.

She confronted the brother and his response was antagonistic. She took it calmly and left. Few days later, she returned to the house and stabbed the brother to death. Their mom was devastated! The whole street was thrown into a frenzy and the people were left in awe.

She was later handed over to the police, but a few weeks later, her family decided to withdraw the case tagging it as a 'family' matter.

What your dad did was wrong, but pardonable. You even attested in your post that he did so much for you guys, and I think that's enough reason to let his actions slide.

I guess he was expecting that you were going to gift him a car soon enough, and when that didn't happen, he decided to help himself.

The fact that he didn't authoritatively demand that you buy him a car, and was planning on paying back the money used shows he is responsible. And for what it's worth, don't make it any harder for him cos I believe he already feels bad himself.

Have a tete a tete with him and make him realize that actually you had the intention of buying him a car, but since he already got himself one, you would like to focus on something else.

Try not to fret over it, and continue whatever project you started. You guys are supposed to be a one big family, and what belongs to Peter should also belong to Paul. Life is short and never allow money create a rift between you and your loved ones.
Romance › Re: Does It Mean I Should Accept My Girlfriend Back? by We4all: 8:33am On Jan 11, 2020
Thewriter2018:
She called me and was pleading and pleading that she doesn't mean anything she said to the guy.

I do not trust her again and I told her that I do not care what she does with her life. In fact I broke the relationship. She begged for over 4 hours but still I told her to give herself some time to decide whhat she wants.

She loves me and is ready to do anything I said. I mean anything I say.
I can tell her to help me with some cash and she wouldn't hesitate regardless of the amount provided that she can afford it.

She gives me sex including blowjobbs and Anal sex too. She takes a lot of risk just to see me like sneaking out of her Father's house aorund 10pm just to see me and satisfy my sexual urge.

She promised that she hasn't had sex with the guy and I can boldly concur because there is no place to do it. She works in a market and there is no place to meet with a guy and have sex with him there. She cannot also meet rhe guy at night because the guy stays far. She cannot also viait the guy because her parent does not allow her to go out except to her shop. She cannot also corner to the guy's house after her work because she is always timed.

I actually make her cumm when we have sex. I suck her cat so much that she orgasms and squirts.

She calls me all the time and tries to please me all the time.

She has promised me that she will not talk to the guy again but if by any chance I see her cheating I shouldn't hesitate to spread her nude pictures because I have her nudes in my phone (the ones she snapped and sent to me.)

Please, should I continue with her though I do not trust her again and I never even did.

What should I do?
Anal sex, blow jobs, e.t.c. are demeaning and domineering, and any man who subjects a woman to such doesn't respect her. She was even dumb enough to send you nudes! Girls are getting more daring and careless with sex. Sometimes, I wonder how they feel with their bodies after doing all these thrash.

Gone are those days when it was all about caresses, love making and tenderness. @OP, please free the poor girl cos you obviously don't respect her or her body.

Despite forgiving her several errors even while we got engaged, she still have the guts under my roof to mess up.
Warning guys, never ever marry a single mother that has been messed up!!!
6years was messed up!!!
I presume the ex she was always in touch with fathered her child. If that was the case, then you should have anticipated that, and figured out how to deal with it before hand.

A single mother/father will always have something to say to their ex cos a child is involved. I think your relationship crashed cos boundaries were not set from the outset.

Family › Re: How I Got Married With Just N28,900 (my True Life Testimony) by We4all: 7:37pm On Jan 10, 2020
SecretSpy666:
I registered on this platform to tell my story and encourage other Nigerian youths who may have humble background like me, not to give up.

I did one of the craziest wedding in human history. I can’t stop laughing now as God has changed our story

COST OF THE WEDDING IN DETAIL:
Statutory marriage (court wedding) – took place in December, 2015

The court wedding was contracted at the marriage registry of Kano State, opposite Emir Sanusi’s palace, Kano municipal. Here are what I spent:
1) Wedding Certificate fee N8,000
2) Wedding ring N1,500
3) Clothes for the wedding for both of us (including sewing) N13, 600
4) Two crates of multina N5000
5) One carton of Digestive biscuit N600
6) Transport for both of us (kake napep) N200 (to and fro)

Total: N 28,900

No reception

Few invitees and no much celebrations

TRADITIONAL WEDDING:
I spent about 35,000 including clothes.

HOW IT STARTED

I was posted to Kano for my NYSC in 2014 August, Batch B. I fell in love with this beautiful lady and we had similar historical background. Before I completed my NYSC, I got admission to Bayero University for my master degree programme (march, 2015). I didn’t have what it takes for marriage and there was no help from anywhere. I really wanted to dump her and focus on my study but she never let me go.

She told me she want to go for master too, we hurriedly applied for her during the late application period, she was lucky she got admission to study community health. She took me to her parents who are based in Kaduna but are from Okrika in River state. Her parents are educated and gave me good advice and encourage us to get serious with our studies. The father told me to pay N5,000 as bride price and I spent about 30,000 for a very quiet traditional wedding.

In Kano, we live in a single room (self contain) opposite Bayero University gate, going to school together. I started a part time teaching with Al-Furkaan Science Academy with 18,000 salary and also work it for her to be teaching there too for 15,000 salary. The school management did not know that we are couple. Some teachers there were even trying to talk to her….
After our coursework, as if God was waiting for us to complete the coursework, boom!!! I was called by an agro allied company based in kano for interview. I applied online for the job. I got the job and we were both happy!!!

Three months later, my wife got a job with an NGO working in communities in Kano and Jigawa. Not long after, we moved to a two bedroom flat and got a car. We had a baby boy now and building a house in Otukpo, Benue state.

THIS IS MY TESTIMONY……
Start little and God we increase it…
I was so ashamed then and the people laughing at us them are now coming to begg us for money and support.

Now my wife is saying we should do a flamboyant, expensive, and gorgeous church wedding and invite all the people we invited during the low-key court and traditional marriage...and invite all friends, foes and all the people laughing at us at that time....
grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
Your story is quite inspiring, and I'm glad things worked out for you. But encouraging people to tow your path doesn't hold sway, cos it may backfire. I know a guy who did something similar, and 10 years down the line, he is poorer than he was.

The truth is, if you can afford a flamboyant wedding, by all means, do it! This is because, weddings are memorable, and are expected to take place once in a life time.

There are three chapters in one's life:birth, marriage and death. If people celebrate births and funerals, then weddings shouldn't be less celebrated.

Nevertheless, if you can't afford a loud wedding, then opt for something small with few guests. But make it simple and classy, and don't be like the OP, cos serving his guests biscuits was in bad taste.

Being poor is one thing, planning right is another. @OP, you shouldn't have entertained your guests with biscuits,(cos I assume they were all adults). Instead, 2 mudus of rice served in take away packs could have done the magic. And if there was less money for malt, then you could have opted for zobo drinks which is cheaper and even more delicious than malt drinks.

The problem most Nigerians have when it comes to weddings is that, while they can afford to cater for only 50 guests, they end up inviting 500, just so they can have more contributions from them.

If your budget can only entertain 50 people, then plan for that number and don't end up inviting more numbers so you don't serve them biscuits just like the OP.
Romance › Re: My Fiancée Wants To Abort My Unborn Child Because Of Nursing Council Exam by We4all: 6:35pm On Jan 10, 2020
KingEzo:
Hello Nairalander, please I need your advice. I 31years and my fiancee 29years have been dating for the past four years. she discovered that she's pregnant on new year's eve. we discussed the issue throughout the new year and we agreed to keep the pregnancy that she's going to write her nursing Council exam later. I told her that she should give me some time so that I can go and discuss with my parents and organize introduction then do the engagement in a little way but she said her mom won't be happy with her that she need to do big wedding because she's the first child of her mom. she later told me that she's going to inform her parents before taking any step. to my surprise she called me this evening that she is going to terminate the pregnancy because her family has been raining insult on her since she got home. she said her grandma is even coming to the city with her so that she can terminate the baby. but I told her that I didn't support it that I can't terminate pregnancy, I told her that she can write the the council exam after delivery but she insisted
sir-ma should I support this their action.
Was the pregnancy a mistake? The last time I checked, a woman can only get pregnant through unprotected sex, or careless sex. Before you found out about the pregnancy, what was the plan? Did you have a serious relationship with her? Were you thinking of walking her down the aisle?

I'm curious to know, cos as it seems, her mind is already made up. And insisting that she keeps it when both of you are obviously not ready for the next step is selfish on your part. How much time did you ask her to give you? What if the time elapses and nothing positive happens?

Look, the one who will bear the brunt of the pregnancy is your girlfriend, and not you. Do you know how many women die daily due to complications arising from pregnancy and childbirth? So, she can decide to do whatever she wants with. After all, it's her body and not yours. The one who bears the load feels the weight.

If you insist that she keeps the pregnancy, then you have to do her bidding by organizing a flamboyant wedding ceremony for her. Everything has a price, and it's the price you have to pay for not zipping up and planning ahead.
Celebrities › Re: Dakore Egbuson And Olumide Akande's Marriage Crash Rumour by We4all: 6:00pm On Jan 10, 2020
bestofnollywood:
They were so in love with each other!

In fact, nobody envisaged that there would be a separation, not to talk of a divorce between Nollywood’s actress, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, and her husband.

But like some celebrity marriages, Dakore and Olumide Akande are no more. Just like a pack of badly stacked cards, the nine-year-old wedding crumbled and the centre cannot hold.

Signs that the wedlock was troubled surfaced online when the actress posted a photo where she wore bikini! Prior to that, she was sighted at the One African Music Fest in Dubai with her brother, Timini.

“The marriage had problems a few years back but the couple tried to make things work out. Many factors were responsible but Dakore became tired of not having enough money to throw around. Her husband, Olumide, who is one of a son of billionaire businessman, Harry Akande, is broke—the money isn’t flowing like when they met, courted and married. Olu lives off his dad and the economy isn’t as buoyant. Even Harry Akande is allegedly not as rich as he was,” reliable sources told Kemi Ashefon.

Many would recollect that Dakore was romantically involved with Olumide, for many years before they were pronounced man and wife at the Guiding Light Assembly, Ikoyi in 2011. A lavish reception that had in attendance elite members of the society was staged at the prestigious KFA Event Place in Lekki. Dakore’s father-in-law, businessman cum politician Chief Harry Akande brought to bear his social and financial clout.

“Olumide sacrificed everything for Dakore. Initially, when he made his intention known to family members that he wanted to marry the actress, hell was loose! No member of his family stood by him. To them, Olu could have gotten a good girl instead of an actress, who is tagged wayward and a gold-digger. He ignored all pleadings and advice. The handsome dude went for Dakore and they were married in 2011. They have two girls as products of the union,” source revealed.

Moreover, the quest for a third child must have allegedly put pressure on the actress who quit the movies long before she married Akande and after their two kids, they relocated to the United States of America. Well, Dakore’s mother-in-law wasn’t pleased with their lifestyle and wanted them in Nigeria where the couple can work towards giving her a grandson!

Meanwhile, Dakore had maintained that she was done with child-bearing. As a matter of fact, it was due to the imbroglio in their marriage that pushed her into acting again.

Not a few fans would be worried at this development because Dakore did all she could to keep her marriage intact—at least on social media. Not known to celebrate her wedding anniversaries on social media unlike some actresses, she revealed that she wanted a ‘private marriage and not one to be displayed on social media.’

In an interview two years ago, Dakore disclosed that, “My mother always say, ‘cover your yam and how you’re eating it.’ Like on his birthday, I just do maybe some posts on Instagram but we like to celebrate anniversaries in-house with the kids. We’ve been together for 11 years but married for seven years.”

Already, Dakore has moved out of her marriage and she is allegedly dating a Nigerian guy who is into entertainment and organizes big shows in Africa and other continents. Who knows the couple can still come back again.

Say what! I can't believe they are no more together. Truly, love doesn't sustain a union cos I can bet my life that in the beginning, they were so in love.

Dakore is pretty, charming, charismatic, and I'm not surprised that Olumide fell helplessly in love with her. Any man would. I used to think that he loved her more than she did, judging by the way he used to stare at her while in public together. It was like, he couldn't get enough of her.

Unfortunately, things had to go south, and I wish both of them the very best that life can offer. I'm just so sad to know that they have parted ways.

Did you try the "oya you go and buy biscuits for yourself jare" scope and see whether she would run to meet you?
I tried all the tricks, but she wouldn't even look at me.
Family › A 2 Year Old Kid Is Beefing Me by We4all(op): 11:24pm On Jan 08, 2020
I'm someone who gets along great with kids, (especially those in my former neighborhood). There is this particular family whose kids always come around, and they have a 2 year old who happens to be one of my favourites.

When she is around with her older siblings, I play with her and she lets me hold her. In fact, we get along great! Last week, they were at my place, and her older sibling volunteered to run an errand for me. The 2 year old wanted to go with her, but I objected.

That was my undoing! As soon as the sister stepped out, the kid became furious with me, and wouldn't let me touch her. When I tried, she kept screaming that I should leave her alone. I held her hands and tried talking to her, but she wriggled out of my grip. I must confess that I was amazed at her strength, which was like a 10 year old.

Hours passed, and I thought her anger had died. I made an attempt to touch her, but she kept screaming: "Leave me alone". They eventually left and I forgot about it.

A week passed and they came by yesterday, but to my greatest shock, she was still mad at me. All my efforts to bond with her was met with a stiff resistance, and she kept saying: " Leave me alone". I asked the sister what she thinks of her behavior, and she said the kid gets angry easily at home and her anger can last for days.

That revelation didn't go down well with me, and I have been pondering what on earth would make a kid act that way? Gone are those days when kids are usually sweet and innocent. No matter how much you discipline them, they still warm up to you.

I guess a lot is going on and the change has also affected our kids. If a little kid is overly sensitive in her ways, then what should be expected of an adult?
Romance › Re: Ladies, Stop Saying Poverty Lead You Into Prostitution by We4all: 5:04pm On Jan 08, 2020
Gina2019:
what I am trying to say is that, there's a different between doing things for money and also making an excuse that poverty lead you to it.

If you want to live an expensive life, then you must be ready to work your ass out for it. Good things don't come easy.

I was on XVIDEO when my friend told me most girls that do prostitution are ugly. I tried to find out myself which is not true.
Justifying your reason for visiting the X-rated video site, is the same way most girls justify their reasons for prostituting themselves. Some people in dire need of money commit atrocities just to survive, but prostitutes only sell their bodies and the only one who gets hurt is them.

I am not an advocate of prostitution, but the bitter truth is, if not for the age long 'trade', most girls would be dead by now from hunger. A greater number of ladies indulge in this 'trade' cos they see it as the last resort and should never be condemned for that.

Most of them actually strived to earn a decent living, but things never worked out and they had to do something to survive anyways.

If you have never starved for days, or be publicly disgraced for your inability to pay back a debt, or never watched your mom pass away cos you couldn't afford her medical bills, then you have no right to condemn a prostitute. Most of them have seen it all and are simply just trying to survive.
