Sorry mama, it's quite painful, I can't begin to imagine her pain and the numerous what ifs going through her mind right now.

Blame the sadist policies of some private sector companies. I know of a big company in Lagos that grants maternity leave for only 2 weeks. And that starts to count on the day you sign off work in anticipation of delivery, not from the day you actually give birth.

So, if the mother is working in such a cruel company, she has to resume within 2 weeks of giving birth or lose her job. Those companies abound in the country. So, if we have companies who grant maternity leave for just 2 weeks, you can imagine that a company that grants 2 months is even generous!

Consider that before blaming people for having to resume work shortly after delivery. There's no mother who doesn't wish to take good time off to nurse her baby!

A younger doctor who has worked in a hospital where a certain case is managed often is more experienced in that kind of case than an older doctor who works in a hospital where such cases are rarely seen.

Experience in medical practice isn't always a function of age, but place of work and nature of cases seen. Some older doctors are even more dangerous because they don't update their knowledge. Some are sticking with old-school drugs and procedures that are no longer used due to their proven side effects which were not known decades ago.

Flipping is quite profitable, but it requires that you really know what you're doing. On average it takes me between 9 to 18 months to grow a site up to the point when I deem it ripe for sale. And sites are typically sold for 20 to 40 times the average monthly income.

Blogging is still hot as ever. The problem is most Nigerians don't have the know-how and smartness to keep up with the dizzying pace at which niche blogging and SEO is moving. The few who do are still smiling to the bank.

Go to sites like Flippa, Empire Flippers, Motion Invest, and so on. You'd see tons of blogs on sale that are generating top dollars. Of course, they weren't built within just one day or few weeks. That takes us to the biggest problems Nigerians now have with blogging -- impatience, inconsistency, and unwillingness to move with quality content trends.

No, our leaders are worse than the colonial masters. You can't compare the state of Nigeria's economy and the life of the common man during the colonial era to what obtains with our leaders now.

The colonial masters would steal your mineral resources and milk you dry, but they will still give you the basic amenities of life to enjoy. But our leaders milk the country dry and give us nothing.

Imagine if Nigeria was still under colonial rule. Our refineries would be working, our rail system would be perfect, and electric power would be stable -- not because they love us, but because they want to make money from our country through those channels. When you mentioned blogging or blog what comes to the mind of most Nigerians is Linda ikeji the celebrity blogger who just occupies a tiny space or niche , I always refer her as a gossip blogger.
Blogging is far More than that. blogging is broad, from medical, tech, finance, fitness which are broad niche to micro or sub niche like dating, fishing, sewing, swimming, recipes, parenting, cars, motorbike, wine, bear etc. I could list over 200 sub niches.

There is room for everyone. Believe me. Blogging at the moment is not saturated. In fact Google once made it clear that over 30% of search quarries are something that haven't been searched before and over 3.5 billion searches are done daily.


The key here is identifying those searches and picking the ones that are not talk about on any site or few sites. Avoid the most competitive ones as a starter.



To earn high, don't target Nigerians as advertisers in Nigeria are not willing to pay as high when compare with USA, UK, Australia, Canada, etc.
If you get 2 thousand page views daily you can get approximately the payment paid up there.

Well, I didn't say the content isn't important. I only said he should start with the https fix. Google throws tantrums over little things at times.

The design is not so consequential in my experience. I once had issues with getting Adsense approval on a site of mine. I then had to hire one Pakistani guy on Fiverr. The major change he effected on the site was to change my theme to one ugly-looking, bland theme. He told me to reapply, and gbam! That was it.

What I'm trying to say is the beauty of a theme means nothing to Google. A visually appealing theme can be better coded can one with lots of decorative bells and whistles. And the minimalist, dull-looking theme might employ a code and structure that conforms to Adsense's requirements.

Meanwhile, I actually had Google analytics setup for the blog but I never considered it a go to place for monitoring the blog's traffic considering the convenience and ease of accessing the stats and managing my blog in one single dashboard.

However, I checked Google analytics data and it shows 293 clicks in 30 days data filter.

I guess that's a greenlight too considering past performances.

If you want the convenience of the viewing Google Analytics from your dashboard, there's a plugin for that (Google Analytics Dashboard Plugin for WordPress by MonsterInsights).

As for the 293 clicks you found, how does that compare to what the Blogger dashboard revealed?

Google is gradually reducing its emphasis on free info that would turn the user away from its paid solutions. And that's why the GKP won't show you lucrative long tail KWs because they want you to target the competitive keywords through Adwords (paid promotion on SERPs).

Analytics is still more accurate than those other tools you mentioned considering that Google has more access to user data than the companies behind those tools. While no tool is perfect, Analytics remains the most accurate.

You can't compare a tool that requests access to your site's pages through a code with another that merely analyzes your traffic from outside.

Even tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush can't be all that trusted. Each tool works based on estimations that may be right or wrong.

I recently came across a blogger template that, after a few days of installing the template, my blogger blog that was recording between 60 and 100 daily Pageviews at its best started recording 500 or more daily Pageviews.

Now, my concern is; is that normal?

Is it possible the developer encoded the template such that it manipulates and hypes the blog stats?

Before you ask how or why that is a concern to me, here are my reasons:

First, my blog is about blogger templates reviews and I am privileged to test-running different blogger templates on some demo blogger sites.

Most of these templates that I review, I get the premium versions directly from the templates developers for free, review the template and publish my observations on my blog.

At a point, there was one template I got from Bloggertheme9. That template actually manipulates blogger stats because I noticed that after installing that template, when I visit the blog to check on it, a single view would record 4 or 5 views in the blog stats.

At first, I thought it was an improvement in the template that increased the blog traffic but later when I uninstalled the template and installed another, the blog stats returned to normal.

Then, I realised it must have been some scripts or so that caused that increase in traffic because if it was a real traffic, the changes could never have been immediate.

Now, another template gives me similar but slightly different result.

In about 5 days of installing that template, my blog traffic just jumped to 400 to 500 from about 60 to 100 daily Pageviews.

I checked with blogger stats but this template does not seem to tamper with that.

Can someone here tell me if this is normal or hyped?

The Blogger traffic analytics is highly inaccurate as it counts visits by bots along with human traffic.

To have the real picture about your site's traffic, you have to set up Google Analytics for the site.

Most likely, the money will be returned back to Amazon. But I'm not sure how long it will take for Amazon to reflect the reversal on your affiliate account.

But...what exactly did you do to warrant Payoneer's request that you steer clear of their service?
