I think it's high time Nigeria criminalized this stupid act of showing people's dead bodies on social media. What's the rationale behind this nonsense?

Is it that we must see the body before we believe someone is dead? Did we see Abacha's body? Did we have to see Ojukwu's body? Did we have to see the dead bodies of the more-than-countable Nigerians of late memory?

It suffices to spread the news. Trying to pull traffic or attention by showing the public what they don't need to see and breaching the sanctity of the dead make zero sense.

Backlinks might not necessarily skyrocket your traffic. Even if you have high quality links, your on-page optimization must be top-notch for you to see any reasonable results.

And the worst part of SEO is that you might not see any positive result even after 6 months of paying monthly for some SEO services.

Truth is, there's more to blogging than focusing on backlinks. Sit your butt down and learn SEO on your own (there are loads of free resources online) and implement at your own pace. At the same time, keep churning out unique, well-optimized content.

You sound like someone who's a bit desperate for results, and paying for SEO isn't for someone like you.

Stop talking out of ignorance. Last I checked, pilgrims to Mecca pay about N1.5m per head, while pilgrims to Jerusalem pay about N700,000 per head. It's their personal money, not government funds.

If anything, it's the government that feeds fat on those fees, not the other way round. So, get your facts right before embarrassing yourself on a public forum.

If you read my post to the end, you'd see where I stated that what we need are people who are not just in the academia but also have public administrative and policy implementation skills and experience. I'm sure we have lots of such individuals in the country.

I'm not saying there are not such people in the academia. What I'm saying is we shouldn't choose from the academia based on brilliance or teaching experience alone. That's a recipe for failure. And that's the mistake the government keeps making.

This is how we get things wrong in this country. In the academia, people are trained to teach and research. It doesn't automatically make them good materials for ministerial positions. What became of the professors who have been ministers of education before now? What did they achieve? Were they not from the academia?

The same applies to insisting on doctors being ministers of health. Most doctors lack what it takes to handle such positions.

I'm not supporting what the OP said, but running each ministry effectively requires more than academic brilliance or professional work experience. All of that must be mixed with years of experience in public administrative and policy implementation roles plus the needed exposure. And that's why people like NOI delivered better.

One of the biggest problem I think Nigerian has is unnecessary conclusion and general stupidity of the masses.
Someone was killed which is very painful but out of another person's wicked intentions they tagged it as herdsmen just to create a problem and the masses just suddenly jumped into conclusion that they were herdsmen.
First of all herdsmen move with cows and have have not heard anything about cows in the senerio of the incident. Secondly they were masked, so how were they identified as herdsmen with their mask?

The stupidity aspect is how the masses decided to jump into conclusions to throw accusations in support of whoever first posted the news that they were herdsmen.

That particular route has always been known for criminal activities from time in memorial even before the arrival of herdsmen crisis. I studied in a private university in Edo state and know very well there were very peaceful herdsmen somewhere in the bushes of that community and they had their own settlements there. Where I am talking about still connects these route but there was always a high crime rate there which had nothing to do with herdsmen. But now these routes are tagged with herdsmen for thesame crime that has been existing in that place long before these herdsmen saga.

I am not a Fulani or related to one for saying the truth, am actually from Edo state and I know that route too well because I travelled that route regularly.

This Fulani herdsmen saga is now powered by some evil politicians to carry out evil dids and ensure it is tagged as herdsmen just to sabotage the PMB regime. Unfortunately it is affecting the innocent citizens of the country but the truth is that those seeking power by way of creating problems for the present government through this means do not really care about the citizens and who pays the price.

We should all be cautious of were these accusations will eventually lead to.

Deliberate misinformation and spread of false information are bigger enemies of this country than we ever imagined. If Evans the kidnapper wasn't caught, the kidnap operations he carried out would have been blamed on herdsmen. Every bad thing in Nigeria is now done by herdsmen.
