Hello,

she has to get her school to give her enrolment letter evidence she has registered for courses in the school for a particular module/term

Abidemi1812:
Good morning house. First, let me start by saying thank you to everyone who have shared guidelines on this platform. They were very helpful.

I am asking this on behalf of my sister. She was denied boarding her flight by Egypt air. She had all documents as advised by the school and as per cic info. She had these:

LOA
CIC CORRESPONDENCE
3DAYS QUARANTINE BOOKING
11DAYS HOTEL BOOKING TO COMPLETE ISOLATION.
Egypt air desk staff insisted that she needs a "PROOF OF ENROLMENT LETTER" . Anyone gone through this or is it just egypt air? We contacted the school but they said registration is not open yet so enrolment letter can not be generated. The issued a To whom it may concern bu they still refused. Please help !!!

Hello Milkytins,

You may have to upload the leaflet from the hospital on a webform and send to IRCC.

I am curious the Medical request are they for kids below 10 coming on a visit visa. I am thinking of booking for upfront medical’s for my kids coming on visit visa....

milkytins:
Hi all, please what is the next thing after Qlife medical.
Family of 3.
Two with medical requests and 1 did upfront medical.

Hello,

I would advise you send an email to the following email addresses with your full name as it written on your international passport and the date DHL confirmed it was delivered to them. You can also attach DHL acknowledgement slip + a screenshot of DHL confirmation of delivery.

feedback.cannig@vfshelpline.com, info.cannig@vfshelpline.com

Hope this helps

Hello everyone,

I’ve been following this thread for a bit.

I had PPR last week Tuesday and sent my passport to VFS lagos on Thursday which got delivered on Friday but till now, I don’t know if it’s been processed or not. I’ve called almost everyday of the week and they keep saying they’ll send my tracking number by “end of day”. Honestly, it’s just annoying how they operate in Lagos.

This is really sad! Frustrating small businesses that are helping to stimulate the economy is wrong not when they have adhered to the extant laws guiding business in a particular location. It is really absurd to hear that they locked people inside the facility.

May God help us and give our leaders the wisdom to do the right thing at all times!

Proof of Fund:
I was self-sponsored with savings equivalent to about N5m. Showed bank statement.

Hello Anon,

I believe medicals is part of stage 2 requirement just like biometrics and security police certificate (see below)

How to obtain a study permit for fall 2020

The first stage is much like the regular study-permit process. International students have to submit:

letter of acceptance;
Certificat d’acceptation du Québec (for Quebec students only);
proof of funds;
proof that they can leave Canada when they no longer have legal temporary or permanent status; and
any family ties to Canada.
Immigration officers will assess these applications and issue pre-approval at their discretion. International students can begin studying at this stage.

To get the full study permit, and eventually be able to travel to Canada, international students will need to submit:

Immigration medical examination
Security-Police certificates
Biometrics

Hello,

please refer to the link below
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/biometrics.html

Biometrics collection outside Canada

If the site closest to you is closed, we’ll automatically extend your deadline to give your biometrics.

You don’t have to give your biometrics until the sites start offering collection services again. This applies to you, even if your biometrics instruction letter (BIL) says you have 30 or 90 days.

You don’t have to contact us for this extension, and you don’t need a new BIL to make another appointment when sites reopen. Bring your original BIL to your new appointment to show proof of payment.

Hope you find it useful

Hi guys, I applied for my study permit on the 1st of July, and part of my proof of funds was a certificate of treasury bills that I purchased. My application is still being processed, but the treasury bills will mature on the 30th which is tomorrow. I don’t know how this will affect my application or if I’ll need to roll over and submit that again through the web form. Please any advice will be helpful, thanks.

Your timeline shows they are making great progress on your application as both background and eligibility check are going on concurrently. Based on the two stage approach you don’t need medical & biometrics to receive the 1st approval.

Wish you good success

Hello,

I suggest you check the status panel with icons to see if background check has started. From what I have gathered from all the postings so far, they usually start with background check then proceed to medical request/update.

For the background check, they usually don’t send a notification, so it won’t be part of the messages in your IRCC inbox.

Continue to be positive....all things shall work together for your good.

Wish all applicants good success

I learnt from the webinar held by IRCC in India that they will start issuing ‘Approval in Principle’ from next week.

I pray that we shall have series of great news next week
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by wendynuel: 11:59am On Jul 25, 2020
Hello,

I advise you reach out to the hospital to ensure they updated your medical result on the IRCC interface. Upon confirmation, raise a webform attaching the document you received from the diagnostic center (Qlife or IOM), then write a note explaining the fact that you opted for an upfront medical.

I actually submitted an upfront medical which they recently updated. When I was completing the online form I did not select that I had done medical within the last 6 month. I was advised to raise a webform submitting the medical form obtained from the hospital so they won’t send me a medical request since I didn’t select that I had done an upfront medical.

I am certain you will get a positive feedback from them shortly

All the best to all applicants

Hello Brownie,

I think IRCC has modified its operations slightly based on its latest pronouncement on the two stage approval process for study permit. Submitted my application on the 20th of June with upfront medicals. All these while till 5pm yesterday (23/07/2020), eligibility check hadn't commenced but background check was in progress. At about 9.00 pm yesterday, i noticed my medical has been updated to passed and eligibility check commenced. They did not send any mail notification.

Note: Biometrics still outstanding.

***It will be nice to hear from others as well***

Brownie1003:
Hi everyone,

Congrats to those who have been requested to do medicals. Pls, does medical request come after passing eligibility or before. Pls those who saw medical request, have you passed eligibility?

Thanks

Good morning All,

Just saw revised study visa processing time on IRCC’s website for Nigerian applicants

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by wendynuel: 12:23pm On Jul 02, 2020
Thanks everyone for your comments.

My thoughts.....

If the Visa Application Centers are closed in Nigeria, that means biometric capture will be delayed further and invariably student permit processing (i.e. for applicants that have not done biometric capture with IRCC in the last 10 years).

They also stated in the IRCC website that you need to give your biometrics before they start processing your study permit application.

When to give your fingerprints and photo
You can only give your biometrics as part of an application you submit to us.

Read your instruction guide to find the steps in the application process and when you need to give your biometrics.

Example: if you apply for a visitor visa, study or work permit, you’ll need to give your biometrics before we start to process your application.
Find out how to give your biometrics.

Hello My people,

Sure we are all good

Check the link below for update on visa processing for Nigeria (refer to the bolded)
https://www.vfsglobal.com/en/individuals/covid-19-customer-advisories.html

Please note that as of July 1, 2020, the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration of Canada has also lifted the suspension on the processing of temporary resident visa (visitor visa) applications. Although processing of applications has resumed, travel restrictions to Canada remain in place. For more details, visit the IRCC website.
Canada has stopped accepting visa applications until further notice in Wuhan (China), Rome (Italy), Ankara & Istanbul (Turkey), Rangoon (Myanmar), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Niamey (Niger), Bamako (Mali), Recife (Brazil), Doha (Qatar), Cape Town & Pretoria (South Africa), Montevideo (Uruguay), Erbil (Iraq), Guatemala City (Guatemala), Lagos & Abuja (Nigeria), Nairobi (Kenya), Kigali (Rwanda) Dublin (Ireland), London (UK), Kinshasa (DR Congo), Lima (Peru), Los Angeles & New York (USA), La Paz (Bolivia), Santiago (Chile), Caracas (Venezuela), Amman (Jordan), Algiers (Algeria), etc.

HealthRe: Help, My Newborn Has This Skin Problem by wendynuel: 11:37pm On Jun 28, 2020
Hello, I advise you go see a doctor quickly. At the moment, kindly ensure the baby’s clothes and bed covers are properly washed well with plain bar soaps (like premier soap) and clean water. Don’t use bleach or detergent.

Use basic soap without fragrance and Vaseline blue seal or maybe olive oil or Shea butter.

Check that you didn’t introduce any new milk to your baby. You may have to isolate what you ate or have fed your baby recently

Had similar experience but found out my baby was reacting to a change in food (milk)

It looks like an allergy but you need to see a doctor to confirm..It will be good for you to be open to your doctor so he can help you isolate and recommend the appropriate medication.

Good morning peeps,

Thank you all for your support and honest feedback. I really appreciate everyone for the good work you are all doing.

I need help with this question.

Do your sponsor need to provide their own employment letter and the payslips (especially if the person is your spouse)? Also how do i get sponsorhip declaration form?

If I am the main sponsor and my spouse is supporting, i guess he should be the co-sponsor and is required to complete the sponsorship declaration form

Thank you
