I often wonder.... Since sharia law is the legitimate authority in certain Islamic countries, and its citizens accept to be guided by this law, why then does the enforcers of this law need to hide their faces when meting out the required punishment? I mean, in non sharia states, policemen who enforce laws, and judges who mete out justice don't have to hide their faces. So, what makes it different with sharia law? If you believe in its authority and its legitimacy, why hide your face when meting out the prescribed punishment? Food for thought. |
These bloggers una no dey take am easy o. It has become a race to see who gets pictures of the event first? |
More like how we have become addicted to our cellphones and the internet. The first picture though, aptly illustrates that we are killing mother earth with rapid urbanization and industrialization. Very creepy. |
There has been improvement in makeups in the industry. Where they still score far below average is in the scripts and directing. Their story lines are beyond boring and predictable. Nollywood movies still remain one of the cheapest means of making oneself brain dead from frequent viewing. |
Not supporting or condemning your doing a quickie with a stranger, however the only part of the narrative I think ridiculous is this: The only person i finally told the true of what transpired was a man of God; whom after praying, disclosed to me that the strange girl has a jealous spiritual husband who is a serpent. So the snake that bit me wasn't ordinary. Trust me, even if you were not bitten by a snake, and you confess this escapade to your MOG someday, he will probably still tell you that the lady was a spirit, or some bullshyte. Sex is sex, be it at home, work, on the road, in the bush, in your car, on your roof....The only difference here is you invaded a reptile's privacy, and it struck back at you. You were in a village, bushes everywhere, and snakes hide in bushes, and it was night too... If you guys had been in a hotel room in the city and a snake appeared to join up for a thre3some, I could have bought your pastor's tale. |
Yes, she's worth it! In fact, you need to step up your generosity. Also pay the tuition fee for her siblings, use your entire paycheck to please and give her a nice time. Don't forget to tell her to invite her whatsapp friends on weekends, so you can give them all a smashing fun time. It won't be out of place to sponsor her for a masters degree later. You are so kind, so nice....a salt of the earth. Your type is rare...that is why your type become extinct in no time. Keep it up! |
While reading about the suicide bombing which occurred in Maiduguri yesterday, the report wrote that the female suicide bomber detonated the device she hid under her "garment" Note the word: garment. We all know that what was being referred to was a hijab. Now, even the media is toeing the "politically correct" line of not mentioning the apparel worn by female Muslims, following the outcry by sane individuals calling for its ban. I'm pretty certain these female bombers also wore hijabs to hide their weapons. Let their hypocrisy consume them. Since religion has clouded common sense and a piece of clothing is much more important than human life. |
Awoofawo:And were the rest of the world asleep when America was milking them? Have you ever seen a great man or country that achieved greatness without being smart and cunning? How do you even describe our politicians who rape and loot our economy, only to stash and invest their loot overseas? Enough of blaming America for our woes. We put ourselves in this situation. |
@OP: You were being benevolent with your wish for crude oil to crash to between $5 to $10. Personally, I wish it would crash below that figure. Ours is a country full of greedy and retard3d thieving politicians, who, even at this moment, are still stealing whatever they could lay their fingers on. At the height of the oil boom, our so called leaders were quoted several times saying the problem Nigeria had wasn't money, but how to spend the money. Several years down the line, we are even worse off than before the oil boom and the excess foreign reserve. When Donald Trump recently said Africans need to be recolonized for a 100 years because we are incapable of governing ourselves, do you all see how right he was? |
Been to some countries where plantains were actually labelled as "big banana" in supermarkets. It's no surprise, seeing that it is mainly grown in tropical countries. There are even some African countries that don't know what plantain is. |
You see, this callous attitude of politicians is not limited to any party, be it APC or PDP. Members of these parties are made up of people of the same ilk- Nigerians who, when they get into power, become convinced that whatever available resources left for national development, is theirs for the taking. When GEJ made same budget of N1billion, APC only criticized it because they wished they were the ones making such outrageous "feeding budget" for themselves. It is their turn now, so they are all out to ensure they outdo GEJ. Of course, Bubu will cite inflation as the excuse for this. |
This country is so rotten. A thieving pitician doesn't even think twice about approaching a man of God and a Chief Justice to intercede on his behalf....people who, ordinarily, he should be ashamed and scared to approach! How many ex governors, ex senators and ex presidents have been convicted of corruption charges since our fvcked up democracy commenced in 1999? This is what gives them the courage to keep looting and keep bribing their way out of justice. Seriously, Bubu's regime could be the last hope of things getting on track, but recent activities has shown that he may not get it right after all. Still remember the parable of the one finger that touches palm oil, and ends up staining the entire hand? That's what is happening to Bubu now. Implication. |
Did he go through the trouble of weaving his hair, just so he can successfully commit suicide bombing afterwards? This dude needs to be thoroughly drilled...literally and figuratively! ![]() |
![]() You never see anything. I did my NYSC in Edo state. Got posted to Oredo LGA, the capital, Benin City. I stayed at the Corpers' Lodge at Ekae, a small town at the outskirts of the city, along Sapele road. Right from the orientation camp, we were advised not to mess around with the indigenous ladies. At Ekae, We were shown a young dude who served in Benin few years ago. Got involved with a local damsel, and has refused to leave that village ever since, even though he had been unemployed throughout the period. Every effort by his family to retrieve him had been abortive. I gathered the women love with all they got. But once you try to play smart, it doesn't usually end well. |
I think it's cute, and a realistic marketing gimmick. |
EgunMogaji: Those scrawls were intentional, I think. He probably did it to reserve spaces for his subsequent posts. |
I lost respect for organized religion long ago. Actually, these religions are no longer organized. More like anarchist! When you put religion above God, above your own kindred, and above common sense, then you have forfeited every right to be regarded as human. Won't be a surprise if this eventually end in bloodshed. |
DonChippy:Brother, it is mind-boggling, to put it mildly. In the 90s and early 2000s, if a high school cert holder writes this way, it would be such a scandal. As it is now, university graduates who could barely string a sentence together are getting churned out everyday. Shame! |
This is one death that shouldn't bother anyone.....Well, except the immediate family of the deceased. Guy was asking to be killed. Period. |
And the charade continues. The government has shown on several occasions their utter disregard for court rulings. When it's citizens toe the same path, let it be known that government set the precedent for this. Our law courts have been reduced to kindergarten playgrounds. No one shows respect for the rule of law anymore. If this isn't a pointer to the fact that we are approaching a failed state, nothing else does. That judge did the honorable thing. Why waste his time to preside over a case he knows the government will not respect it's outcome, except it favors the government. |
Godspikin:I'm interested in this. I want to know, first of all, what mix or type of laterite that produced this type of color of bricks as shown in this picture below? Did you mix soil from different locations, or this soil color is obtained from a particular region, or the cement mix made it appear this way? Kindly respond, pls. This sort of pastel color is giving me joy, meeehn! Secondly, how are plumbing pipes installed in these brick buildings? They will be very difficult to break, since they are not hollow. So, how do you solve this challenge? Please upload pics of plumbing in this building to explain better. You mentioned me from one of my posts, which led me to your thread. The few bricks I've seen so far, are red colored, the commonest color of laterite soil in Nigeria.

Thanks to her, I probably might not be here today. We got a long chain of twins in our lineage. |
These guys are balling. Consistency in their hustle is the key. |
spyder880:Received. Reply sent. |
And of course, eye witnesses to the incident will be too scared of the police, to step forward. Very sad. |
He obviously isn't serious, or he didn't try hard enough. Slitting one's throat is a difficult method of committing suicide. The pain and blood could scare one enough to easily get discouraged. He should have just hung himself with a good, strong rope. Meanwhile, this doesn't stop the girl he's dying for, from being generous with her thing to other men. |
Yeah, we need recreations like this to put the frustrations from the economy at bay. Hope it's going to become an annual event. That way, it could get better organized and draw bigger sponsors. I see no ambulances in case of emergencies. |
This is very nice. For that holiest guy calling it "HERESY", what exactly do you mean? Did the bible even mention skin color of those in biblical times? In case you are not aware, people of middle eastern origin where biblical events took place are not exactly white. their complexion ranges from very light shades of brown to dark. Some are even black. So, this is just an artist's impression. It doesn't have to be religiously, spiritually, anthropologically or politically correct. Religion has clouded most Africans sense of humor and propriety. Lighten up, will you? |
If he doesn't respect the capacity of his bike, he should at least respect his life, and that of others this may affect in the event of an accident. He may not know it, but getting arrested by men of the FRSC may be the best thing to happen to him. We don't seem to have any regard for safety. |
Hmmm. Season of fires. I think the fire service needs to keep record of the cause of these fires. The statistics should serve as a good source of educating people on the precautions needed. |
Rubbish. Dasuki will say anything, do anything, just to be let off the hook. |
