CultureRe: Photos From An Unclad Annual Virgin Dance That Holds In Abiriba Kingdom by whirlwind7(m): 1:26pm On Sep 13, 2015
If this is for real, I just became aware of it. How come it has attracted very little publicity?

The annual reed dance in South Africa attracts so much tourists yearly, it has contributed to a significant part of their foreign exchange earnings.
Well, we are in a country where everything except crude oil gets very little attention.
To think I have mixed with a lot of people from Abiriba, but never got a hint that such a culture exists angry

Mazi Osisikamkwu owes me an explanation!
I see no teenagers in the pictures, though. Just kids who are barely into puberty.

funmilade4real:
THE BIBLE SPEAKS OF A SNAKE WITH 7 HEADS AND WITH THIS WE SEE THAT IT IS FULFILLING EVERYTHING THAT IS WRITTEN. LORD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOUL’S.”

this morning ,the supply mentioned ,variety of effort have been made to get the seven headed snake down however all no avail .The seven headed snake have been right here for six hours ,and could not be killed See clear picture beneath.
You were there this morning when your village people tried to kill it, right?
Do you know how long this picture has been swimming in cyber space?
Some of the older pictures were photo shopped to give the snake three heads, some were five.

Has anyone ever given you the simple advice to never believe everything you see on the internet?
PoliticsRe: Checkout These Hilarious Church Adverts(photos) by whirlwind7(m): 10:33am On Sep 13, 2015
The modern day churches and worldliness... little to differentiate between the two.

You'll see that their posters and banners depicts poor reasoning. So they are aimed at people whose outlook and mental capacities are at par with the charlatans who founded those churches.
FoodRe: Dog Down! Photo by whirlwind7(m): 10:23am On Sep 13, 2015
As much as I respect people's custom and way of life (including culinary tastes) I still cringed when I saw that your post included pictures of the dog as you are dragging it to slaughter.
I love dogs. I got them as pets. They have become part of family members. Because of their intelligence and easy domestication, dogs are the animals closest to humans.

I respect your choice of meat. Do enjoy your meal, but kindly remove pictures of those part that show the dog being taken to your slaughter slab. It is disheartening. Almost like watching pictures of a human about to be slaughtered.

Have a great Sunday!

Their cagey sales reps, mostly Arabs from North Africa, with their guttural accents.
Met them on several occasions. You'll have to be really slow to think there's no catch in their sales pitch.

They have quickly come to the conclusion that Nigerians have money to throw around, and so they even hang around baggage claims at the airport whenever a flight arrives from Nigeria.
Don't blame them, because our very corrupt public officials are their regular customers. So, they can be pardoned to believe that we are all stupidly rich.

I'm not in that aircraft, but I must confess I broke out in a cold sweat, reading this.
What if this incident happened, say, 15 minutes later, when the plane is airborne? shocked
Thank God for his mercies.
I need a glass of cold water right now!
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Is Built On A Satanic Foundation- Femi Fani Kayode by whirlwind7(m):
Any discerning person would know where this man is coming from.
He suddenly realized that the country he has selfishly served was built on a satanic foundation when he doesn't have any more federal appointment, right?
Just give him one mumu post, say, junior assistant to the temporary assistant to the special assistant on pure water nylon pollution, and watch him change his tune instantly!

All that he had spewed here is not new or strange to anyone who had bothered to know the history of Nigeria. Why it suddenly became a subject of interest to him at this point is what anyone should ask.

In the words of Bola Tinubu: "I know FFK very well. Just give him a little money, and he will strongly give shameless support for a goat to contest for political post"
CareerRe: When You Know It's Time To Quit Your Job by whirlwind7(m): 1:16pm On Sep 08, 2015
castroevans:
Before u quit your job make sure you have something you can fall back on.
I'm glad to be an entrepreneur, though the beginning wasnt smooth.
No beginning is ever smooth, bro.
It's timidity and fear of the unknown that would keep anyone in a job that is gradually sending him to an early grave.
Nobody makes it by not taking a certain amount of risk. I would rather strike out on a wild venture, than keep struggling in a job that wears me out.
What do you think is the reason why in many industrialized countries, most suicides happen on Monday mornings?
PoliticsRe: Did You Know? Fulani Herdsmen Kill More Than Boko Haram - Mr Ben Bruce by whirlwind7(m):
This report from Mr Bruce had been posted several times on this forum. Perhaps it would have garnered more attention and taken more seriously if dear Bubu had made a categorical statement, as well as effect a policy that would restrict the carnage caused by these wandering death merchants called Fulani herdsmen.
There's little difference between them and Boko Haram. In fact, they can be among one group in the daytime, and camp with the other at night. The presence of any of these two groups in a community is accompanied by death and destruction. They have no place in modern human interaction. You just cannot coexist with them, except u leave ur farmland and it's produce as forage for their cattle.
I'm still puzzled as to how many of them are allowed to keep automatic rifles. Were they licensed to bear those arms, or what?

If Bubu does nothing to stop their clashes and mindless slaughter before his tenure elapses, we can be rest assured that these herdsmen menace is a script aimed at forcefully taking over pastureland from these indigenes, especially in Plateau state.
It has carried on for damn too long for any reasonable government to ignore or pretend that it's a localized or passing fad.
CrimeRe: OMG!!! The State Of New Market, Ngwa Road Aba Will Shock You. by whirlwind7(m): 8:12am On Sep 07, 2015
Well, the people there have to move around in it because they have no choice. They have to go out to make a living.
People deserve the type of government they get.

To think that the man who misruled and neglected Abia state till it turned into a pig sty is still the one elected to represent them at the federal level makes you realize the truth in the bold statement above.

"I want the government to forgive me now that I know there is no gain in stealing,” Ubi said.

So he wouldn't have realized this until he got caught.
The sort of pathetic excuses people give for engaging in crime can be so funny.

At least he didn't blame the devil this time. That one ranks #1 on the top list of excuses most losers give
PoliticsRe: Ghanaians Comments On Buhari Planned Visit To Their Country. by whirlwind7(m): 5:58pm On Sep 06, 2015
Hmmm.
Nice to see the respect Bubu is commanding from our naughty neighbours.
I earnestly wish it would be transformed into speedy action devoid of ethnic sentiments.
Nigeria has waited far too long for a government that can get things right for once.

Seriously, I see the present regime as the last chance we have to get things right. Everyone is just tired of all these politicians and their antics.

PoliticsRe: Europe And The US Should Better Open Their Borders To The Middle East Refugees by whirlwind7(m): 8:39am On Sep 06, 2015
Obiagelli:
It has been in the news that Europe is turning away refugees from Syria, they have been calling on rich Arab countries to take their neighbors in but the question is

Did these rich Arab countries create and find the crisis in Syria?

Have we forgotten so soon those that we sending weapons and military aid to Syrian rebels

So Europe wanted to reap the oil benefits of the fall of the Syrian regime and not the consequences?

If Europe is full, they better start providing cruise ship to take the refugees to America.

They better start start accepting accepting Libyan refugees and migrants from Africa instead of stylishly sinking their boats.
Do you remember ISIS plan to gradually flood Europe and US with jihadist?
If you were the government of those countries, would you open your borders to the refugees, without strongly vetting how genuine they are?
The easiest way to sneak in terrorists into Europe and US is to disguise them as refugees, once they are granted easy entry.
There's two sides to every coin.

CelebritiesRe: Imeh Bishop Gets Really Big Scared On Board Arik Flight To Uyo. by whirlwind7(m):
That's the Nigerian way of doing doings. Absolutely shoddy, with a total disregard for safety.
I really admire the courage of those who still fly domestic. It entails putting your life in the hands of operators who really don't give a damn about your life, or how you feel.
Will any sane person intentionally walk into the jaws of misery or death?
Well, to all intent and purpose, that's what you do whenever you fly domestic. It's a 50-50 gamble to see whether you arrive safely or not.

It's not as if the government has really shown enough seriousness to have all of these airlines sanctioned. Do we even have a government?
With the kind of impunity exhibited by almost everyone, I very much doubt it. Government on paper only.

CareerRe: 4 Everyday Activities That Will Actually Strengthen Your Brain. by whirlwind7(m): 12:14pm On Sep 05, 2015
Insightful.
For most people who live in crowded cities such as Lagos, taking a walk is such a luxury. I totally identify with that point.
On weekends, go to rural areas where it's quiet. Soak in the nature and it's ambience. I personally like to go fishing. With a hook and a line, accompanied with my picnic, I get lost in time, and spend hours fishing. Anyone who tries this and doesn't find it relaxing and quite stimulating really needs to slow down.
Nothing beats that for me!
CrimeRe: My Experience With One Of The Nigeria Latest Scam by whirlwind7(m): 12:09pm On Sep 05, 2015
Trackready:
You wont understand,.my sister said this guy got a shop somewhere in lekki and he was an actor that she know him, I trusted my sister not the guy cos I know my sister too well but I never knew the connection was from fb..If I were to know it was fb connection, I wouldnt have went forward at the first place. You wont understand but thank you.
I still insist that after your sister got upset over the initial 30k deposit you made to the guy, that's when you should have made the effort to find out what's going on.
That you went ahead to make further payment of 20k, and told the Humphrey not to bother about refunding the first 30k even after your sister was against you making further transactions with him, leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
If Humphrey actually scammed you, he didn't have to put in much effort.
CrimeRe: My Experience With One Of The Nigeria Latest Scam by whirlwind7(m):
Such a disjointed story, though.
My first reaction upon reading this was to bring you and your sister together and have you guys flogged, before proceeding to track down the Humphrey guy.
In your write up, when your sister got angry with you for paying the 30k into Humphrey's account, wasn't that the point where you should have paused and find out what really is the connection between her and the Humphrey?

When your sister found out you wanted to pay a further 20k to Humphrey's account, she told you not to, but u still went ahead! Furthermore, Humphrey offered to payback your initial 30k, and you told him not to ""boarder" Chei!!! angry angry angry
Scammers are still in business because of people like you. I just can't begin to see the way your reasoning didn't allow you to begin to use your head after the very first red flag your sister raised when you sent the 30k.

Good luck in trying to track him down, though.
Could have said I felt pity for you over this predicament, but that would be a lie.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Photo: Has Anyone Noticed This New But Cheap Fidelity Bank Logo? by whirlwind7(m): 11:30am On Sep 05, 2015
What makes it cheap? Because the design looked simple?
How did you arrive at your guess that the design was gotten for free? I know that in choosing a logo, companies usually have go through a range of options, before making a final choice.

TravelRe: Tanker Explosion Around MCC-Abayi In Aba This Morning (Photos) by whirlwind7(m):
When you consider that there are countries (even in Africa) where incidents such as this doesn't happen for period of years, then you begin to realize that our system is non existent.
This is what happens when, rather than be proactive and safety conscious, we prefer the "may God help us" attitude.

These accidents don't happen by chance. They are due to neglect.
Almost no system is functional in this country. Every individual need to be extra careful to avoid becoming a part of the statistics. Death by fire and road traffic accident is the second highest cause of death in Nigeria presently, a close second to BH. Imagine how many of such incident we have recorded since the beginning of 2015 alone.

NPF, FRSC, VIO, MOT, Fire Service....mostly dead or in a coma.

Nothing new here. The first time I got this sort of call was in 2005. Had received a few more since then.
If I'm in a playful mood when the call comes in, I just keep 'em talking till they get exasperated and hang up.

That string of bollocks he typed there in reply to you was to get you scared, If you are the superstitious type.
PoliticsRe: See The Route This Tanker Is Plying [photo] by whirlwind7(m): 10:34am On Sep 04, 2015
I see a tow truck in front of the fuel tanker. Perhaps it's about to get towed away.
Whatever the tanker is doing there, I bet it was intentionally driven over the median.

Maybe it broke down and was parked that way to clear the road for moving traffic.
PoliticsRe: Serious Inferno In Aba As A Fuel Tanker Catches Fire. Houses Burnt(pics) by whirlwind7(m): 10:10am On Sep 04, 2015
Fire and road accidents have claimed it's fair share of lives since this year...second only to BH.
Let's be more careful out there, people.

FRSC, VIO and MOT seem to be scared about discharging their duties to the fullest when they encounter fuel tanker and long articulated vehicle drivers.
Arrive alive. Try not to become just a number in this statistics.
