And the toll continues to mount. How many casualties from road traffic accident since this week? I have counted almost a dozen on NL alone. Be careful, people. Don't become part of this horrible statistic. |
Hot babe! ![]() Your husband will come to put a ring on it very soon, we heard. |
And the death count continues... Be careful, people. Don't become a part of the statistics. May God's shield protect us everyday on our daily hustle |
Evil people ![]() They keep coming up with new tricks, preying on the gullible and the greedy. Calmness and a cool head is required to see through their tricks. If it sounds too good to be true... That trick of "familiar face" is about a gang of pickpockets. I'm aware they operate around busy areas of Ikorodu. |
Just like everything else in the country, there is no regulation. No laid down rules. In cases there is any, there is little or no enforcement. The part where it says we don't have more cows than other countries, we neither eat nor export beef more than other countries, is thought provoking. What sort of a country is this, where illiterate, armed normads, the so- called herdsmen, have held agrarian and peaceful communities to ransom, and yet the government doesn't find it necessary to address the issue? I'm so sick of it! |
.Haven't had such deep laughter for a long time. Even without the horrendous grammar and typos, thanking anyone for accepting your friend request is such a lame thing to do. |
El Rufai probably didn't visit these areas when he went out to inspect the damages done by the flood, because he walked on dry ground only, as shown from some recent pictures. These are the really flooded parts, such that you'd need a canoe to check it out. |
I'm sorry about your plight, but the mistake you made was your continued stay after you got another flat and the landlord wanted to accompany you to pay for the new place. You should have allowed it, just to see what he has up his sleeve. No matter how much he begged you, you should have been adamant and insist on moving out. His initial action had shown him to be a trouble maker. You allowed sentiment into a financial transaction when the other party had clearly demonstrated that he isn't a reliable fellow |
Lucky boy. Very fortunate that his ordeal turned out to be a blessing. We might be looking at the next kid billionaire if things work out perfectly for him. |
Oh dear, what a waste! The millions the owner spent on building that house has, literally, gone with the flood. He must have dreamed of a sort of a beach house, something with a nice view of the river. But he underestimated the force of nature. |
chocolateme:Chill, sister. Reading ur post is like eating rice with sand in it |
Don't read too much meaning into this. It is not a power play. Priority is given to a plane about to land, once the runway is clear. The aircraft already on ground has to chill till then. Safety first, people. Moreover, who can fully trust the reports from these online bloggers? |
Perhaps i'm not hip or "current" or suave enough, but I still think that dude in blue suit (3rd pic) with folded pants leg looks totally childish and uncouth. Yeah, above the ankle and tight fitting pants (trousers) are fashionable once more, but trying to pull off that look by folding his pants suit makes him appear like a tout. |
So, this driver had the presence of mind to snatch the vehicle's papers and "Ben Johnsoned" away from the accident scene? Hope he ran straight to the nearest police station to turn himself in. He should know that the car owner could be traced by it's registration number. Lots of avoidable car crash happening everywhere. Does the so-called ember months induce people to be reckless? |
Sadly, it's the way things are done in this country: Build it once, and never go back to maintain it. The only public properties that are regularly maintained and renovated are the official governors residencies. Those buildings gulp five times their actual worth for annual renovations. Since there is no portable water in Otuoke, who seriously expects a building like this in Yenagoa to receive even a new coat of paint? |
He can go ahead and marry an electric pole then, because I'm pretty certain even deafmutes, like every human being, craves attentions. In fact, it is more challenging to live with one. You will need to give 100% physical attention when trying to communicate st anytime. Yeah, no words, but a lot of actions. Accompanied with grunts and gesticulations. You go see how far! |
How could a Nokia 3310 cell phone break the floor when it falls? Was the floor made from egg shells? |
Perhaps he went there to study the structures the clubs have in place, with the aim of replicating it here? ![]() These politicians, you think they feel shame or have a conscience? As much as everyone needs to chill out and relax sometimes, if you ask him what he went there for, he would say he went on a "working visit/investment drive/youth empowerment sourcing", or whatever bogus claims that readily pops into his skull. |
Have never been tempted to place bets before. I'm waiting to see how this turns out. Never make it a habit, though. Almost every odd is in favor of the organizers. They get all the money. |
That incredible moment when you open the thread and realized the woman in the picture is.... the pastor's wife! ![]() Geeez! Lighten up, people. Just for laughs. |
Your points are explicit. I'm certain their absence from church are due to combinations of these and more reasons. As for me wey no be celeb or star, I have my own reasons. Your #3 reason partly applies to me. Only that the preaching is to make me feel uncomfortable! I swear, that pastor two streets away from me instantly changes his sermon once he sees me set foot into his congregation. I only go there on rare occasions. Haven't been a regular member anywhere for a long time. In my own case, he had tried to match-make me with a very pretty member of his church. I had resisted this move always, and he is not happy. Whenever i'm in his church, he always talks about how people miss out on their god ordained wife. |
I totally, absolutely, understand your plight. When I read the first sentence, where you mentioned your absence of just 2 months, I laughed quietly to myself. Means your experience is still new: A fresh casualty. I have stopped being a regular member of any church. Haven't really taken note of when this decision began, but it's been years. It was the outcome of the accumulation of a series of recurring event, which made me realize that most churches had been taken over by worldly cares and pursuits. Spirituality has taken a backseat. When you make the error of elevating your pastors to almost equate them with God's place in your life, then your problem just started. It will surprise you that some regular members have a level of spirituality and an understanding of God's word that their pastors can't hope to match. Forge your own path, and never rely much on any man. Yes, pastors are mere mortals too! They make judgmental errors, as you have just found out. They can even fail where you as an individual excels. |
hotice01:The N120,000 quoted, is this the price per acre? |
Picture of kids suffering from kwashiokor...Reminds me of the civil war of 1967-1970. The tiresome thing with this war against BH is, when you think it's about to come to an end, it just flares up and takes a new dimension. Let's hope this time, they have finally met their match. |
So northerners pay up to N500k to N1m to get a bride?! Then why the stereotype that Igbo women are the most expensive to get married to? Added with the facts that Igbo ladies are better educated and much more refined than their counterparts from the north east, then every penny paid in getting married to them is worth it. As for the city ladies in Maiduguri, they should quit complaining. When supply exceeds demand, price is bound to crash. They can channel their frustrations at Boko Haram, the evil that has brought this misfortune upon them. |
That's a cool girl. She knows what she wants, and she's open with you. Don't get mad; get even. Or, u can step up straffin capabilities. |
spyder880:Yes boss. I'm sure most of us are fully aware that it's going down. But some won't be able to make it, because they are not anywhere within 300km of Enugu (including yours truly) It would be a real service if you can email every stakeholder on the proceedings and resolutions from the meeting. God bless you yanfu yanfu. |
I can bet a N100 that this animal, when asked why he committed this crime, he will say it is the work of the devil. That's their most handy excuse. Probably feels that since the devil can't instantly appear to defend himself, he may as well blame it on him. Sorry, but the devil can see you, and is stalking you for wrongfully accusing him. It's the reason a huge calamity is about to befall you. |
What the hell... ?At least two of those guys are not dead when the pictures were taken, as seen in the first two photos. People around there didn't call for ambulances, but stand around to take pics, and watch the victims bleed to death! They finally get loaded into a pick up van like pieces of trash after they're dead. Such a pity. What happened to humanity, for goodness sake?! |
Well, she's feeling like a celebrity. That's a feeling that gets into your head, and for those who are weak minded, it makes them behave like A-holes. |
You were at the port, you saw the owners of the cars awaiting clearance. You were at Berger, you met with the car dealers. Yet, it didn't cross your mind to make this inquiry and get straight answers from those people who could have given you first hand opinion. ...only to come to nairaland to ask. ![]() |
This fear is real, and with good reason too. It is what the religion brought upon itself. No matter how good and how well it's intention is, the religion somehow teaches extreme ideologies which, only those who are strong willed and intelligent can resist it and maintain a balanced view. Seriously, it's phobia isn't even wide spread in the country yet. With the way female suicide bombers have successfully hidden IEDs under their hijab when going for suicide bombings, you'd think the leaders in that part of the country would have called for at least, a temporary ban on hijab. But of course not. They won't. Securing human life doesn't seem so important. |
