PoliticsRe: Soyinka To Patience Jonathan - Be A Lady Before Being A "First Lady" by whitecat007: 3:38pm On Jul 13, 2013
This is what the very tribe you are insinuating is known for and will continue to do, just as they did when Jonathan you are celebrating today was stuck in Turai'kitchen. These "players" are known for keeping politicians honest and on their toes from military regime to "democracy". If you have problem with it, I suggest you go back to your mother's womb for a new birth cos your brain is expired.

Nigeria! What should be on the table now is regional autonomy, so these vagabonds can govern themselves back to stone age where there won't be any criticism of their leaders.

Gabbysky: My apology if I sounded a bit tribal, but honestly, this getting too much. It has gotten to that point where if I witness or read of a criticism to whatever the Jonathans do, I first look at the names of the players, and I've not been disappointed.
Even in public discourses.

No comparison between the two. One ended with a reputation of a lair with no integrity and the other stands for justice, speaks truth to power.

antiembezzle: Be more honourable like your friend Achebe was. Stop taking sides with the apc goons, remember your enemy buharam is there. Stop insulting people in a market manner pattern. HBD 2 U.

PoliticsRe: PDP Convention: Atiku's Name Missing On Delegates' List by whitecat007: 3:20pm On Jul 08, 2013
My thought exactly. GEJ and PDP created Boko Haram for political blackmail. If GEJ succeeds in using Boko/Bomb to scare Atiku, good for him, that is the monster he helped create.

kingoflag: Eh, no biggie.

Soon, two bombs will go off somewhere, followed by "leaked" semi-cryptic texts which will be mysteriously linked to Atiku's campaign manager. Afterwards, GEJ's minions and fellow evil and dense followers will start harping it in our ears that "Na Atiku do am" (after all thats what those texts said). The next scene will see Atiku's Campaign Manager fleeing over to GEJ's camp and getting a post, the accusations against him will die down, and Atiku will be forced to drop out of the race.

Its the GEJ way, but I guess he doesnt feel like using bombs and accusations this time.

PoliticsRe: Yobe Students’ Killers Will Go To Hell - GEJ by whitecat007: 2:30pm On Jul 08, 2013
Not that fast robot! Stop pulling wools over the eyes of your fellow Nigerians, cos the word is already out that PDP and Boko Haram are one and the same.

1. An eastern PDP leader once threatened to unleashed Boko on some people

2. Azazzi also a PDP said PDP is Boko Haram

3. Jonathan said their are Boko Haram in his govt

4. Jonathan has refused to go after his Boko friends like he meant it, but few slaps on the wrists to look busy

5. Some of Boko guys arrested were with PDP leaders during the arrest

Get it into your battery operated brain that BOKO HARAM IS A PDP EXPERIMENT GONE WRONG.

Burger01: They will not only go to hell.. they will burn, rot, gnash their goro teeth and fvck their demons virgins in hell. Every politician and every boko haram supporters from any part of this country will go to hell. APC [b]members would go to hell. e-supporters of boko haram from Nairaland would go to hell.. Every president Goodluck Jonathan political haters on the issues of terrorism would go to hell. The president has been trying his best as humanly possible to cub this affliction called boko haram and yet some peeps (Buharii, Tinubu et al) would rebel and condemn my president. You will all go to hell and burn...

Hmmmn! I think she might have something Lagosians can't resist, First female Governor and also a christian .

I can see why some are having diarrhea even when the woman said she will not run.

goodtalk: . Tinubu projected his boy {fashola} and you guys voted for him and he became governor isnt it? Did fashola perform or not? So t'he important factor is for t'he new incoming christian governor to follow t'he lagos masterplan, t'he rest is history for certainly he or she will be successful In th saddle! PoliticsRe: Is Remi Tinubu Next Lagos Governor? by whitecat007: 9:04pm On Jul 04, 2013
The man is larger than life itself, you better believe it. A non Yoruba Man first opened my eyes to who he is. Even though I will not sing his praise but give credit where it's due, I will also not rule out how instrumental the man is in a country like Nigeria to Yoruba ethnic group. How many Yoruba leaders are sticking their necks out for the axe like he has done or still doing. He will never be Awolowo, but he's the closest you can get. Other ethnic groups wish they have their own Tinubu and Yoruba don't want him.

I understand we Yoruba don't want other lording it over us all the time, but lets find another leader before chasing Tinubu cos we need a MADMAN right where Tinubu is in Nigeria.

plaindealer: Abi o.. People just like to argue and commit suicide over this Tinubu man?

I still don't know what this man's name evokes so much hatred and bad blood especially when it comes to the people he didn't do anything to..
PoliticsRe: Is Remi Tinubu Next Lagos Governor? by whitecat007: 8:40pm On Jul 04, 2013
You obviously have a lot to learn about politics. That below is open to a gazillion interpretations, depending on who her spokesperson is or who is reading. Make it into a wall paper and Ankara if you want, when the time comes watch how it's explained away.

It's not dishonesty, It's called politics.

naptu2: (Transcribed)

"It is never my ambition to say. . .to run for the governor of Lagos State. My husband did it, remember, for eight years. I'm not an outsider to it. It's not a place for the tender hearted. It's a lot of work to govern Lagos and I'm not the type that won't put hard work into whatever I do. I don't think I have the strength to say I want to govern the present state of Lagos" - Oluremi Tinubu.
PoliticsRe: Is Remi Tinubu Next Lagos Governor? by whitecat007: 8:25pm On Jul 04, 2013
What about The U.S you all want to be like? Clinton machine anyone huh

Kulas: lagos State is about to become like kwara State then of the Sarakis.Where did this man called Tinubu get his power from, that everything about lagos state even some other Yoruba states are about Tinubu.Does it mean there is no POWERFUL person in lagos that can challenge and gallantly oppose this man before this get out of hand. For sure,no body in any Igbo States can ever dream of making a state his family affair, because thousands of powerful men and women that will oppose such is there, for example can you tell me that this rubbsih can be tried in Anambra state where ex or present governor will be preparing his wife or family members to come and vie for governorship post or even the senatorial seat the Tinubu's wife is presently occupying.Once again, does lagos state dont have strong men and women to challenge this man before lagos will be turned entirely into Tinubu family affair?,let them rise up now before it is too late.

Eternal likes!!!!!!

duality: I see no reason why she can not run for the office of Governor of Lagos. Lets stop being sentimental and hateful. Lagosians should be the ones to decide at the pol.
PoliticsRe: Is Remi Tinubu Next Lagos Governor? by whitecat007: 8:19pm On Jul 04, 2013
She has the right to contest just like every Lagosian even if for family votes alone.

She is not interested now. What if Lagosians ask her to run? or she changes her mind cos of pressure?

The only thing that can stop this train is a better candidate.

Now tattoo that!

Read it yourself and opine, we are all entitle to that much. I said it the way I see it with most posts bashing ACN and cuddling PDP at the same time, It seems to me that some just want to use the appointment to kick-start the campaign. The issue has been flogged to death though.

Desinuola: wait, are you saying those voicing out against this installation are all pro pdp?

Eko Ile, You just brought tears to my eyes with this post.

I am hanging my tribal gown cos we have a bigger fish to fry in Odua nation.

I think you must be a real Odua, heart and soul to see ACN for what it stands for.
You just confirmed what my go to guy and confidant here who is an Etsako/Edo told me about Tinubu.

The DPD said they will take back Lagos in the next election and are working feverishly towards it already before our eyes right here on Nairaland. I hope ACN brings in its best for counter campaign.

Eko Ile: 1. She was not imposed on anybody, she was voted for and elected by the people of Lagos and her husband did not force a single Lagosian to the polls to vote for his wife so where is the imposition or is is just that you do not know the difference between voted for/elected and imposition?

2. Tinubu can foist any candidate or his preference which politicians all over the globe do everyday, it's still up to the people of Lagos to freely walk to the polls and vote for or against any candidate including any perceived Tinubu's choice so what's your point really? Or do you really think Lagosians didn't see her last name on the ballot before voting for her regardless? Obviously, Lagosians careless about all the discriminatory and undemocratic sentiments you are pushing.

We judge people based on their qualifications and capabilities and never based on irrelevant hang ups about their last name and this is what Lagosians did at the polls and so far, she's delivered to her constituency more than any other senator in Nigeria.

Lagosians voted for the right person.

3. You did not complain when Tinubu bravely fought the FG/OBJ and staked his life against powerful forces in Nigerian to safeguard?

You did not complain when Tinubu wrestled the SW away from worthless and incompetent people.

You did not complain when Tinubu picked the performers we are proud of in the SW.

You did not complain when Tinubu secured and returned our lost voices and pride.

You did not complain about the terrible choice he made when he gave us the most celebrated and the best governor in the history of Nigeria.

Who do you think is taking bullets for the SW and protecting the SW against bad elements from outside?

Who paid for our freedom in the SW and suffered under trumped up tribunal charges?

....but you think heaven must fall because of some non governmental market association membership election? Is this the kind of petty and shallow nonsense we really should be debating or rubbishing this man for?

Was he a tyrant or savior when he did all the above? I know this is an aberration because Yoruba people are not this shallow and ungrateful.

Fashola is paying them cos the money made from lagos into the FG is what Lagos gets a penny on the dollar.
If every region is allowed to keep their resources, you know now say na una erosion washed up red clay your people go chop tire.

Acidosis: Some people actually think Fashola is the one paying all the local government workers in Lagos state

PoliticsRe: Construction Of Seaport, Airport Begins At Lekki by whitecat007: 12:49am On Jul 04, 2013
Wish I can keep clicking the damn like button!!

omar22: Look Lagos can easily stands alone if they force PAYE tax on all workers in Lagos, fixed Levies or corporate taxes on local business or firms. Lagos State has the funds to make the rest of Nigeria look like Azerbaijan thats with its oil.

Lagos is the business city of Africa alongside Jo'burg, Lagos - London is a premium route in the aviation industry, can you imagine the amount of visa to be issued to non Lagosian resisdents? Am sorry how much is the yearly budget handed to Lagos state compared to Lagos state yearly revenue? firms around the world would be dealing with Lagos state if Lagos gains independence it would be like cutting London away from the whole of UK.
