Chai.. Now we are dining with terrorists? After they killed over 25,000 people?? Where is it done na? Only in Nigeria.

These people can't just be thrown into society like that. At least try them in court for acts of terrorism.. Nigeria is the only country in the world that negotiates and sympathises with terrorists.
And by the way.. With all the ones they've caught so far, how come we don't have the name of their sponsors yet? Abi Buhari wan play us like football..?!

Since I joined nairaland, I have never heard one evil act accepted by Yoruba people.
They always blame others for every evil act.

Go to Oyo forest and find human bones, they blame Igbos.

People steal petrol in Arepo, they blame Ijaw militants. Who would believe that Ijaw militants with all the oil in the world left their land to steal the tiny oil in Yoruba land. Only fools would beleive that.

Bros.. God bless you jare.. It is that simple.

Anyway, why must they call every gun totting criminal 'militants'? Part of our problem in this country is the media and their wishy washy, half baked journalism.

Gone are the days of Baguado Kaltho who were refined, hardcore investigative journalists.

Spot on.... Journalism in Nigeria is a joke.
Media houses are selling incoherent stories to the public. Their news are now based on 'hear-say' and twitter. But eh, I can't blame them. Cos where mediocrity is tolerated, then mediocre news will be accepted.

A man leaves his house, just so he could make ends meet but unbeknownst to him, that's the last time he'll ever see his family.. Tragic!!

It's sad how killing/assassination has become the norm in PH now.. Life has no value to those people. And you can't blame them though.. If you have a gun, you'll be tempted to use it.. It is no joke that lil boys in PH now carry firearms. They'll greet you in the morning, rob you in the evening and still greet you the next morning(That actually happened)..

I can't blame the government for anything.. I blame the idiots who allowed themselves to be used by the thugs who are parading themselves as politicians.. and we all know Rivers have plenty of those.

RIP.

Well... When you are as unattractive as these girls, you know the only way to get guys to look at you is if you have deep pockets or in their case, purses.. Too bad for these ones, there are no happy endings for a thief.

P.S: fear girls with crazy/wild nicknames. They are always the ones who indulge in criminal activities(True talk). 'Cos you'll definitely not see a female robber with a nickname like "misscupcake", 'Honeybun", "Milkshakegirl", "princessFiona".

What happened to dialogue? Anyway, I thought they said jealous girlfriends make the the best spies. I don't know your guy so, It'll be hard for me to say anything. There's a probability he only said that to spite you so you wouldn't think he'll lose if you leave him. Show me a guy who would openly tell his girlfriend that he has a plan B when she leaves him. Even 'players' wont do that. And there's another probability that you are just fishing for attention and for all we know you might just have made this up. But if in the slightest of chance that this is for real. Then prepare his favourite meal, watch him while he eats, make him feel very comfortable, then discuss it with him. You are not gonna gt answers from strangers who developed relationship managing skills overnight.

arresa:
1. 16 years of PDP produced nothing after stealing and sharing $20 billion power fund.

2. They then turn around and sold whatever obsolete scrap left to t their cronies with zero experience and resources to invest for improved performance and capacity

3. Instead of going public to generate funds for capital investments, they keep begging the banks for loans, but banks are not willing to give them 1 kobo.

4. With no money to invest on capital projects and improved performance, it means continued pains and darkness.

5. Solution. Either the public pay higher tariff, secure loans from the banks or errase the while arrangement and let firms build r their own modular power plants and transmission lines and deliver power directly to r their local customers. This of course calls for a new round of investments, but it remains the most viable solution right now instead of the worthless national set up with too many disruptions and almost obsolete transmission lines that eats up a large portion of what's fed into it with little in return.

National power system not the way to go and has never been.

For the usual silly and tribal nonsense crowd, you are experiencing the consequences of PDPs 16 years of corruption, looting, stealing and incompetence and also $20 billion stolen power funds.

Bro, You are spot on..
PDP's 16years tenure disintegrated Nigeria's power generation.. but you failed to state how it has gotten worse in 5 months under the new administration.

In that 16years, we didn't enjoy the power supply but there were times when we had reasons to smile. In their stupidity, there was stability and a 'glimmer of hope'... Quote me if i'm wrong but you've never had it this bad. In 8 months of the new administration, we've had too many fuel problems. You are probably gonna say it's the PDP's fault and it probably is. but there were times/days in the last 16years when i had nothing to to complain about, cos i had no reason to complain. This new administration has got me talking and hoping day after day.

I'm not trying to tell a story but i'm trying to make sure you understand why i can/should be frustrated. And if you notice, I'm not a fanboy of any politician. I'm just one Nigerian who needs answers.

We knew the Economy and power were very unstable in Nigeria. But now it's just nose-diving.
You meet something at a terrible state, you say you will make it better but it gets even worse. Where is the logic in that?!

I didn't like Jonathan and I don't like Buhari(I hope he gets things in order, cos we have no choice but to support him. We are stuck with him for another 3 years). Let's all just admit one thing though; We are worse off than we were 12 months ago.

Drfinn:
Dear Mr Seun(Founder, NAIRALAND),
Thank you for creating a forum where Nigerians, and others irrespective of location, religion, tribe, socioeconomic status or other affiliations could interact. This singular act has earned you a place among Nigeria's greats.

However, your latest post though patriotic in nature may seem shallow in the light of logic. I may not understand the depth of your love for country and commitment to her continued existence, but to allow such 'patriotic zeal' to overshadow the freedom of expression, association and other fundamental human rights is illogical.

Though your decision on nairaland is binding and unquestionable, and which in all sincerity should not please all, decision making must be a well thought one. You barely gave cogent reason(s) in your post other than patriotism. Please be reminded that the Arab spring and other new age 'revolutions' started on social media. Your stand on this Biafra issue and others in my opinion should be one of fostering unity in diversity through the instruments of dialogue, compromise and maturity, etc. It's called fair processes.

I am not asking you to rescind on your decision. It takes a real man to make one. Am on appealing for caution in the enforcement of this new rule. I believe you, the moderators and other Patriots could better use this forum to enlighten our Biafra agitators on the need for us to remain United. You may not win in this 'war'(no one ever wins in an argument), however, someday posterity will remember you for the true patriot you are. I remain loyal to the terms of engagement on Nairaland. Thanks.

This guy said it all.. If i had 9 medals to give.. i'd give you 10.. well said..

The people clamouring for Biafra should know that it is boldly written on their passports, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA.. Not Biafra. I'd like to hear what igbo businessmen with businesses scattered round the country think about Biafra.. You say you wanna leave?? Fine.. Go to your home town, take your job/business along with you. Fly your flag there. I'm pretty sure there are A million and one people who have the same mentality/ideology as you do.. Problem solved!! FYI, i'm not yoruba.. Neither am i Igbo.. but I'm a f*cking Nigerian..

And, Mr Seun.. You obviously have good intentions but your approach is questionable.. You are gleefully forgetting that tribalism is not a one way affair.. Basically, if we wanna put it.. our misguided biafran brothers are trying to fight for their rights.. So, Freedom of expression should be allowed.

What are you going to say about the Oduwa and Arewa public who are also as tribalistic as some biafrans, huh?

As much as i like your decision on this matter. I think you've only touched one faction of the issue.
If you really meant what you said about wanting one Nigeria.. Then all tribalists and hate preachers must be expelled from this forum, be it biafra, Oduwa or Arewa.. Anyone who has a problem can create their own.. Dem no force you sign up.

Well bro.. Biafrans and yorubas are happy here.. Our water is actually ice cream.. Water is actually our own fuel.. And our president, Daura-yal highness D'hom Irahub and wife Tahsia Irahub, have been touring the solar system.. I hear they are in mars now..
The females are beautiful here.. with four boobs and 3 butt cheeks. And our planets version of Kim Kardashian, still denies she had no surgery to increase her butt. Arsenal (my favorite Legball team)are yet to win the the galaxy league and are currently in 4th. Chelsea are 16th.

Anyway bro, It's all good here. You'll find out the rest when we come to invade earth..

(6.)Gliese 581c

This planet is strangely a candidate for possible life forms ..

The third planet on it's planetary system, the Gliese 581c is an interesting but strange planet that orbits a red dwarf star.

But this planet just like our own moon is Tidally locked in it's axis .. which means it does not rotate in it's axis but one side of it always is facing the star while the other side is always facing away from it.

For people who might have been wondering why the moon always has one face towards us.. Here lies your answer ^^^

So Gliese 581c being a tidally locked planet has the side facing the star to be always in day light and expected extremely hot that it can melt any living organism on it instantly (so this side is out of the question for life)

The other side of the planet facing away from the star is always dark and extremely cold that it hold a freezing threat to any thing on it..

But in between the hot and cold zone there is a thin line called the twilight zone (That is where the hot and cold meets) this region has a temperature that is just right for life ..

Gliese 581c is a remarkable rocky earth-like planet that probably holds a lot of promises for us even though it is based on a little strip of gap in twilight.

But who knows "Between two dark clouds, there is a silver lining" this saying might turn out to be true in this case after all..

Scientists have traced back my origin to this planet..
Yes folks.. I'm an Alien.

If she narates this whole thing just the way she did here in front of a judge. I assure you that, the guy would walk out of the court smiling... It does sound like consensual sex.. If at all the guy is charged. it'll be for having sex with a minor.. But i do feel her pain.. At that age, she was gullible and the psycho/paedophile/supposed rapist took advantage of her.

And for those saying Rape is becoming common in Nigeria. It has always been common but because of our backwardness, victims don't come out to say NADA due to the fear of stigmatization..

Rape is also common in other parts of the world not just Nigeria.. Even men are raped in South Africa.. undecided Na so e bad reach.
