PoliticsRe: Muric Rebukes Ogun Governor Over Bb Naija Gifts by Whoube99(f): 7:22am On Oct 10, 2020
OfficialMURIC:
The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, yesterday 7th October, 2020, gave a bungalow and N5 million cash gifts to the winner of Big Brother Naija, Moshood Olamilekan Agbeleshebioba. He also appointed him the Ambassador of the Youth in Ogun State.

However, the Nigerian Islamic human rights organization, Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), has described Governor Abiodun’s action as disappointing, disgusting, misplaced and myopic. MURIC’s reaction was revealed in a statement circulated to the media on Thursday, 8th October, 2020.

MURIC said, “We are miffed by Governor Abiodun’s action. What does he think he is promoting? A whole governor is idolizing indecency and encouraging greed and materialism. It is disappointing, disgusting, misplaced and myopic. This is happening at a time millions of young men and women are roaming the streets of Oke Agbede, Itoko and Asupopo in the state’s capital in search of jobs that are not there. That N5 million could have evacuated twenty five area boys from Panseke, Lafenwa and Ashero, all in Abeokuta. These are roads that the governor himself plies everyday and he sees abject poverty printed on the faces of the youth.

“It is misplaced priority. What is in BB Naija that the governor has to waste the resources of Ogun State on a contestant who had already been over-pampered by the organisers? Afterall Moshood received a whopping N85 million, a car and a house from the organizers. Why give him a house again when he had already been given one? Is it a reward for hard work, intellectual display or what? How old is the winner? BB Naija is a cornucopia of repulsive, nauseating and Bohemian behavior. Or what does Governor Abiodun think of open sex on television being watched by all and sundry, including our underaged children? It is a big shame.

“The Muslim Rights Concern is deeply concerned that even our traditional rulers all over the country failed to add their voices to that of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, when he called on the Federal Government (FG) to ban BB Naija. No single traditional ruler spoke in support of that clarion call.

“FG must also take responsibility for the damage this irresponsible programme has done to the psyche of Nigerian youth. How can we allow a foreign idiosyncracy to bastardise the values and norms which we hold very dearly in our land? It is not Nigerian if it is not Nigerian.

“The Glorious Qur’an says, ‘Evil has appeared on land and sea because of (the evil) which men's hands have committed, so that He may make them taste part of that which they have done, in order that they may show remorse. (30:41)

“We congratulate Governor Abiodun for demonising hard work, for idolising laziness and for celebrating indecency. Abiodun has undone all that his predecessors had done in the past. We commend him for encouraging greed and materialism among the youth. The police in Ogun State should simply go to sleep since we have a governor whose body language seeks the proliferation of Yahoo Yahoo, 419 and armed robbery. That is what the governor has succeeded in doing because the peers of the BB Naija winner will definitely aspire to get by the bend what they cannot attain by the straight.

“If we may ask our over-generous governor, what did you give those who excelled in educational feats in Ogun State? We have teenagers like Ojo Tobiloba of The Scholars Universal in Ota who scored 354 in the 2020 UTME examination. Ismail Opaleye scored 338 while Nafeesat Ajani had 320. What did the governor give them? Governor Abiodun has elected to sacrifice excellence on the altar of mediocrity. His action will have far-reaching effect as he has given official recognition to the growing faith in the dogma of getting rich young and by fair or foul means.

“Nigerians are sick and tired of some of our political leaders. It is in all political parties. Abiodun is an APC governor but he suffers from acute desertification of the APC change mantra. We wonder where that N5 million came from. We doubt if it came from the governor’s private pocket. We are equally worried about the former owner of the bungalow which the governor gave Moshood. Was it Abiodun’s private building?

“As we draw the curtains, our candid advice to the governor is to return that money to government coffers if it was taken from tax payer’s money. The governor must also withdraw the bungalow if it is not his private building. He can build a whole estate for the BB Naija winner from his personal money for all we care. As for the ambassadorial appointment, decent parents will not allow the winner of BB Naija to represent their children.”

PoliticsRe: Troops Overrun Militant’s Camps, Rescue Kidnapped Expatriates In N/delta by Whoube99(f): 4:02am On Oct 07, 2020
adenigga:
The Defence Headquarters says troops of Operation Delta Safe have overran identified sea pirates/militants hideout at Ibiakafemo, Idinkiri, Tombie and Ogboma and rescued five expatriates who were kidnapped in May.

The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.

Enenche said that some expatriates were on May 9, onboard MT RIO MITONG and MT DJIBLOHO, were kidnapped by unknown militants group in Yellow Island.

He said that a joint team from Forward Operating Base Bonny, Nigerian Navy Ship Pathfinder and troops of 146 Battalion combed the creeks in search of the kidnapped victims acting on credible intelligence.

According to him, after a thorough search and rescue operation, the gallant troops raided and destroyed the hideouts to deny the pirates freedom of action.

“Consequently, in the early hours of Oct. 6, the pirates/militants compelled by the ongoing operation surrendered to the gallant troops and handed over the five kidnapped expatriates at Iwofe Waterfront.

“The five expatriates comprising three Russians, one Ukranian and one Equatorial Guinean are presently at NNS Pathfinder medical centre receiving medical attention.

Enenche further disclosed that the joint team also intercepted two large wooden boats laden with an estimated 350,000 litres of suspected stolen illegally refined AGO and about 10,000 litres of stolen crude oil.

He said that the stolen petroleum products had been recovered to the Base.

“The Military High Command commends the gallant troops for their resilience and encourages them to sustain the tempo against the enemies of our country.

“The general public is always encouraged to support the troops by providing credible intelligence that will aid the operations,” he said.

Fatima, daughter of former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) chairman, Nubu Ribadu, has begged those offended by her wedding dress for forgiveness.

She got married to Aliyu, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar at the weekend in Abuja.

Her dress generated a stir among Muslims on social media who lambasted her for exposing her body.

In a statement on Tuesday, she however said the colour of the dress was the same as her skin, which she said might have made people think she exposed her body.

She said: “I cannot expose my skin. My wedding dress has the same colour with that of my skin, but I still apologize to my friends and family who don’t like what happened and I hope to learn from this.”

PoliticsRe: RESTRUCTURING: WE DEMAND SIX RELIEFS FOR MUSLIMS - MURIC by Whoube99(f): 3:49am On Oct 07, 2020
OfficialMURIC:
Sequel to the clamour for restructuring Nigeria, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has reminded the Federal Government and the general public of the six reliefs it enumerated and demanded for Nigerian Muslims since October, 2017.

The six reliefs were revisited in a press statement issued by the Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola, on Tuesday, 5th October, 2020, exactly three years later.

The statement reads:

“We demanded six reliefs on behalf of Nigerian Muslims exactly three years ago. The reliefs were contained in a press release issued by MURIC on 9th October, 2017. We are aware that the present government is not positively disposed to restructuring and it has declared its determination to avoid it. Nonetheless, we have decided to represent demands which are of special interest to Muslims for the records.

“Let us make it abundantly clear ab initio that MURIC has zero tolerance for separatist and secessionist proclivities. We therefore reiterate our rejection of demands for Biafra, Oduduwa Republic and all other parochial, selfish and unpatriotic agitations.

“It is equally important at this juncture to state that this press statement is designed to remind those who are agitating for the balkanization of Nigeria and restructuring that they are not the only ones who have grudges in this union. Just as there is no perfect marriage, there is no nation in the world without its headaches. In the same vein, just as couples manage their imperfections and try to understand their differences in order to avoid broken homes, so do stakeholders in nation-building sink their group interests for national cohesion.

“We reproduce below our press statement dated 9th October, 2017 and captioned ‘Restructuring Nigeria: Muslims seek Six Reliefs’ (https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/245569-restructuring-islamic-group-muric-seeks-six-reliefs-nigerian-muslims.html). It should be noted that none of the six demands has been addressed hitherto:

“The Federal Government appears set for restructuring particularly with the setting up of a committee on this crucial matter by the ruling party, the All Peoples’ Congress (APC). Restructuring became popular after the South East, South South and a section of the South West complained about marginalization. Several politicians from both the opposition and the ruling party have since spoken in support of this clamour.

“However, we of the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) dissociate ourselves from all agitations for secession. We condemn all irredentist movements rearing their ugly heads in Southern Nigeria, particularly the agitation for the creation of Oduduwa Republic. We affirm clearly, unambiguously and unequivocally, that Muslim leaders in Yorubaland were not carried along before those demands were tabled. Nonetheless, just as some ethnic groups have complained of disaffections, we contend that Nigerian Muslims also nurse serious grudges bordering on marginalization against the Nigerian state.

“We must start from the lanes of history because today was born from the wombs of yesterday. Islam has been in Nigeria since the 11th century and the British met Islam on ground when they arrived in the 19th century (800 years later). The British did not deem it fit to observe the rules of natural justice when they colonized the country as all Islamic landmarks were eliminated and supplanted with a wholly Christian system.

“This injustice may have been at the root of frequent religious crisis in Nigeria because successive governments after independence refused to listen to the agitations of Muslims for a review of the status quo. The issues being raised by Muslims are listed in the following paragraphs so that the authorities may address them when restructuring eventually begins.

One: Nigerians enjoy a total of eight (cool public holidays in a year. These are Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Id al-Kabir, Id al-Fitr and Maulud an-Nabiyy. Five (5) of the eight holidays belong to Christians (Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 1st January, i.e, New Year Day, Good Friday and Easter Monday). Only three (3) holidays belong to Muslims, viz, Id al-Kabir, Id al-Fitr and Maulud an-Nabiyy.

“Restructuring should give Muslims 1st Muharram. This will bring the total number of Muslim holidays to four while Christian holidays remain five.

“Two: Christian marriages contracted inside churches or registries are held sacrosanct everywhere in Nigeria whereas Muslim marriages (nikah) are not recognized for any official purpose. Muslim couples find themselves in a cul de sac each time they presented their Islamic marriage certificates for official purposes. It is paradoxical that in a democracy, one marriage conducted by a religious group is acceptable while the other is not. What kind of constitution is Nigeria using?

“Islamic marriages should be recognized in all official circles where Christian marriages are recognized. The Nigerian Marriage Act (1990) should therefore be revisited.

“Three: Nigeria has a two-day weekend, viz, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was a half day during the colonial era and Sunday was the only full day at the weekend. However, Saturday was made a full day to favour the Seventh Day Adventists, a Christian denomination during the regime of General Yakubu Gowon, a Christian military ruler. It is very clear, therefore, that the two weekend days recognized in Nigeria belong to Christians while Muslims have none since Friday, the Muslim day of worship, remains a working day.

“It is pertinent to note that Friday was a work-free day until the British brought Christianity and stopped Muslims from enjoying their Allah-given fundamental human right. The relief we are seeking through restructuring is that Friday should be declared free to assume parity with the Christians’ Sunday. While we are not seeking anarchy, we are confident that the Federal Government (FG) has all the paraphernalia of administration to work out the modalities.

Four: Immigration officials engage in regular stereotyping of Muslims who apply for international passports. They intimidate Muslims particularly at the point of taking pictures. Muslim males are ordered to remove their caps; Imams are coerced into removing their turbans; bearded Muslims are compelled to shave or trim their beards; hijab-wearing Muslim women are made to remove their hijabs or ordered to draw their hijab backwards to reveal their ears. The same scenario plays itself out in driving licence, national identity card offices and during registration for elections.

“In the process, thousands of Muslims have been denied international passports, driving licences and national identity cards while millions have been disenfranchised during elections. The authorities must find a way of stopping the persecution and profiling of Muslims.

“Five: Uniformed groups in Nigeria, including the army, police, uniformed voluntary groups, nurses, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), students of primary and secondary schools, etc, use uniforms designed by the Christian colonialists. These uniforms should have been reviewed after independence because they only suit the Christians. Some of them constitute breaches to Islamic dress code and offend the sensibility of Muslims who are compelled to wear the uniforms regardless of their inner feeling of resentment.

“In view of the fact that Western countries like Britain, Canada and the United States have designed uniforms with hijab for their female Muslim police, soldiers, students, etc, Nigeria’s restructuring authorities should borrow a leaf from those countries.

“Six: There is no single Shari’ah court in South Western Nigeria where Muslims constitute the majority. This is contrary to what obtained in Yorubaland before the advent of the British. There were Shariah courts in Ede, Iwo, Ikirun, Ibadan, etc. Yoruba Muslims are now compelled to take their civil matters like inheritance, marriage, etc to Christo-Western courts. This is preposterous and unacceptable

“We demand the establishment of Shariah courts in all South Western states including Edo State where there is a significant percentage of Muslims.

“We call the attention of FG and the restructuring committee of the APC to the above six reliefs. Muslims are in bondage in this country and we believe that restructuring should emancipate people in captivity. APC promised change. This change can only be meaningful to us if it breaks the shackles around our necks. We have begged enough for the restoration of our Allah-given and fundamental human rights. We are tired of begging. Restructuring is about reapportioning the dividends of democracy such that it goes round and it is not restricted to one section.

Colonial administration was grossly unfair to Muslims. Nigeria was Christianised by Britain and Muslims bore the brunt. We suffered forceful conversion, denial of rightful employment and even worse forms of persecution. But what is most disappointing is the policy of exclusion adopted by post-independence governments.

“On a final note, we demand full integration and full recognition as bona fide citizens of Nigeria, not second or third class citizens. We are the aggrieved party. The British most brutally and most unjustly took all we had from us, giving us nothing in return and offering no relief. It has continued to give us a feeling of rejection, marginalization, denial of the dividends of democracy and lack of a sense of belonging. The time for redress is now and our six-point relief is here for all to digest.

Omooba77:
Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has told Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari understands the pains and burdens they are going through primarily because of the economic situation aftermath of COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

He said for this reason, the Federal Government is considering palliatives that can offer succor to the people.

Osinbajo spoke with State House Correspondents on Monday, according to Laolu Akande, his Spokesman.

According to him, “We fully understand that we must have a way of ensuring that the pain that people feel, the economic difficulty that people are going through, that we are able to address those as much as possible.

Which is why even in our current discussions with labour, one of the issues we are looking at include, what sort of palliatives are possible for the Nigerian people. In what ways can we reduce the burden and how quickly can we do so.”

NEWS:  SARS: CP reveals what will happen to police personnel who flout IGP’s directives

He said that one of those issues the government has looked at is how to reduce the cost of gas and Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise known as petrol.

The VP said the government wants to make sure that Nigerians are able to go about their businesses buying cheaper energy.

The Vice President explained that “one of the ways is by using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). And the government has committed to do the conversion. First of all, we are starting with commercial vehicles.”

And started questioning me..
If I knew the Mr Olumide
I told them yes
Mind you they were not on uniform o..
One of them asked me when was the last..
The last time I saw the Mr Olumide
I told them like 3 weeks ago...
I asked them what was the whole interrogation about. One of them asked me that he wants to buy a phone...I phone 8 plus
I told him I don't sell phones..
Mind you am a mobile software engineer.
He said but I sold.
A phone (tecno cx) to the Mr Olumide 3 weeks ago. .
I said yes ... I needed some money for my house rent as at that 3 weeks ago I had to sell my personal phone to the Mr olamide.
So I could sort my house rent issue...
They then proceeded asking where I got the phone.
I told them.
I bought it in the gsm village olugbede market..
I opened my drawer and brought out the receipt of the phone as proof of ownership..
One of them asked me to take them to the place I bought it ..

I said no problem I took them 6 of them 5 SARS and Mr olumide to where I bought the..
Phone ...I pointed to Mr Usman the person that sold the phone to me ...
He didn't deny selling the phone..
My mind was at rest hoping that am out of whatever trouble it is..
Not knowing what's gonna happen next
The next thing they said was that the phone was a stolen phone
And that they have been tracking the phone for about 4 months ago..
I was already shivering
Then I thought since I bought the phone and showed my receipt and where I bought it that I don't have any problem..
One innocent customer came to the Mr usman shop that moment that he wants to buy something..he didn't know they were on SARS
U know dey didn't put on their uniforms..
He was chased out the guy started vexing for the embarrassment..the next thing the SARS started beating the guy
Serious beating oh.. their team leader brought out his pistol and asked him (the customer) to b chained....
The whole market was gathered
No one could asked what's going on..
We were cuffed too
Me
Mr olumide
Usman
...they took all the Usman phones that he was selling..
About 52 phones ..both new and UK used
Cos they counted it though..
The shop was being shared between two ppl the other occupant was a woman she was pregnant.
So they wanted to empty her showglass too and she was claiming that those where not usmans phone... their team leader
Gave this pregnant woman a serious slap...
Then the Igbo traders interfered and explain that her stuff's are different from Usman own Sha...
They packed us inside a jeep..
Highlander jeep
(Me ..Usman..Mr olumide...and the Innocent customer) chained like criminals and left
I was wondering whats happening
They first of all took us to idimu police station..they got down I didn't know wat they went into the station to do we where still in the jeep
...
Later they brought down the Innocent customer and started beating him cause he insulted them earlier
At this point I was very scared mehnnn
Our phones has been seized at that moment.
About 30 mins later they returned the customer back into the jeep and started driving towards ogba area at agege...
I don't really know roads like that ..
I kept wondering where are these pp taking
To...when we got to ojodu
The customer was already crying and begging....that he didn't know they where police..
He was asked to pay 50k right inside the jeep or he would b taken to the station...he was just crying

To cut his own part of the story they took him to one ATM spot
He withdrew 18k for them I think that was the whole money with him..and they dropped him there.
We proceeded on our journey ..
mind you I didn't know where our destination is ...
I was terrified like mad seeing the brutalities they have been displaying...Naso we enter express o
It was already getting dark like 7 or so....
They kept driving discussing and laughing
The driver was playing pasuma
Fuji music
The three of us (me Mr Olumide and Usman) where very quiet during the whole journey...
At last we got to the station after several hours drive
I was just looking like mumu..
They asked us to come down..then I silently asked the mr Olumide that where are we like this? He said IBADAN..
Ah I don die
Nobody knew where I am keh
Not my mum not any of my family
I thought to myself....
My head was blank don't know what to do
They marched us to their OC office
...and the man started asking us questions one by one...
Our names
Our states
And how the phone got to our hands...
Olumide said he knows me very well he brought phone from me.
I told them I bought the phone from Mr Usman
With receipt ...
The OC asked me where I got the receipt I told them it's from Usman..
That he issued it when I bought it.
This OC now asked one funny question...
He was like why did I asked for the INITIAL receipt of the phone before buying...I was trying to explain naso I chop another slap...
From one of the SARS that I should keep quiet...that am talking while their oga is talking!!!! Omoh...
Usman was asked where he got phone the guy said he got it from somebody a long time ago
That the owner just needed money when he bought it...
The OC said they should go and lock

His ppl came down to the station that morning... after some discussion and all
This man paid about 100k to them
And Mr olumide was released immediately...
Ah I shock...
So Na money matter ??
I don die
The IPO came to meet me and Usman and started asking us where we are from and so on....
I told him I am from Kogi State...I for just claim Info State Jeje that day o cos my late dad was from Ondo..
Mum is from Kogi...
He asked which part I told him that it's EBIRA
Naso these man said all ebira are criminals this and that...
That he would make sure I rot in jail ..
He was so serious as if it's something personal...
I was confused
He asked Usman
Usman is Hausa
But his mum is from Kogi too
But ighala ...
Fortunately for Usman the IPO too
Was an ighala man....
The same Kogi o
They started speaking ighala language...the werey started smiling...
I just knew my village ppl are after me at this point...
This man went to bring food for Usman ni Sha...
I was still confused as to what exactly did I do wrong to the IPO
They allowed me call my mum..
With the IPO number
I wasn't allowed to say much to mum on the phone..
They just told her to come to DUGBE SARS station in Ibadan..
It was later in the cell that Usman was telling me that EBIRA people and IGHALA people don't like themselves...
The country is bleeped mehn
No love anywhere...
Imagine..
What sort of tribalism is that one...same state oh
My mum came that second day
She was asked to go and bring 200k
...
Mum said she doesn't have such money..that where is her son
She wants to see her son
These SARS sent
Her out of the station....that she's not ready...
I was there for a week..
There is this my uncle's friend at Abuja that my mum called
He knows ppl...
He called the commissioner of police of Oyo State....
The next Monday....I saw two black jeeps just came into the station compound....and they summoned us...
Me and usman
Two of the SARS ppl that came to arrest us and their OC
were also taken
Straight down to the commissioner's office at Ibadan...
Me I was just looking like
Like mumu....I don't know what was going on..
I heard the OC telling them not to mention the third party (Mr olumide that has been released the second day) at all in their explanations ...
After waiting for like two hours downstairs..they took us to the commissioner's office
It was a two stories building...
When I got there ...
There was one office next to the commissioner's office...I saw my mum and sister sitting there..
I was relieved a bit.
When we got inside omoh see office like palace..
Seeing the OC the commissioner just asked us that who
Who among the two of us (me and Usman) is the mother here presently...
I raised up my hands I was shaking..I thought my own don finish
He asked where is she...before I could talk..
The OC said ehn they have called her line that it's switched off..ahhh
I quickly told the commissioner that I saw my mum in one of those offices just now as we were coming...so they sent for her
So she came with my sister...
Guys take care of your mothers
Nothing like mothers love....
Na me dey inside cell my mama don lean finish
So the commissioner started asking us questions...I explained my own part ... about the phone how I got it and receipt and all..
He asked Usman he explained
..the commissioner was surprised
He asked me if I explained to the officers I said yes ...
Confused he asked the OC
That y was I there since last week despite I produced receipt and showed them where and who sold the phone to me....
The OC quickly denied instantly that he doesn't know about the case ...that it's until that same day morning that he's just learning about it ah...omoh
Me I was
Too terrified to even counter their claims all I just wanted was to leave there alive...
The commissioner apologized to my mum ....and warn me to b careful whenever am buying something like that next time..
Then he asked "who was the complainant of the said stolen phonehuh
There was total silence....
Ah
Nothing the SARS couldn't say anything Sha....
No complainants huh
And they were threatening us before that the owner of the phone was robbed ..that even a car was stolen...
So all Na liehuh
We are finished in this country...
I was Sha released
That day...
So basically what these ppl do
Is to get some phones from God knows where and note down their IMEI and SERIAL numbers...
Give it to someone to sell in a market ....
And start tracking the phones just to arrest ppl involved and extort them.. claiming it was robbed
This country is bleeped mehn......

Mr.writer I feel so disappointed in you after I finished reading your story and notice that you didn't sue the bastards, even when the State CP was brought into the mix, a situation that would have added impetus to your matter.
Why are we always so afraid in this Country to face our enemy head long.
We are never ready to hire a lawyer to fight for our right in Court, because they will asked us to pay small money for their services, but will cough out hundreds of thousands to pay to police in their illegalities and then go home to cry.
Nigerians will keep on crying on till we are ready to take the fight to our oppressors and common enemy SARS( the police).

The presidency has reacted to the current campaign to end the activities of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Grassroot Reporters reports.

An aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, reacting to the renewed campaign, said the campaign is "coordinated attack by cyber criminals" who are joined by unsuspecting citizens.

She said that this not the first time such attack is being launched on government institution, calling on Nigerians to stand by institutions while working on its effectiveness.

She wrote on her Twitter handle:

"I have no doubt that there are some staff of SARS who are unprofessional in their dealings with the public, same way we have unprofessionalism in the Army, Mainstream Police, Customs, Civil Service, Public Service, traders, lawyers, doctors, journalists, teachers, pastors etc.

" But what is going on now, is a COORDINATED ATTACK BY CYBER CRIMINALS joined by UNSUSPECTING INNOCENT CITIZENS.

"This not the first time. We must stand by our national institutions while working to improve their effectiveness. That's what patriotism is about. NO SENTIMENTS." She said

PoliticsRe: Breaking: I Will Go To Court To Reclaim My Stolen Mandate Says Ize Iyamu by Whoube99(f): 3:59pm On Oct 02, 2020
Antoeni:
INDICATIONS emerged late Thursday that the Edo State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 19 governorship election in Edo state, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu would approach the courts to contest the outcome of the election that gave victory to Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

In a congratulatory message he sent to the people of the state to mark the nation’s 60th Independence anniversary, he said since after the election many people have sought to know from him his next line of action but said if the Obaseki and the PDP could institute 13 cases against him, then his approaching the courts would not be out place.

He said: “Suffice it to say that, with due sensitivity to the feelings of our people, we are busy collating our facts. Only after, can we speak and speak authoritatively, in the best tradition of rule of law, fairness to all, and due process. We will brief you all in a good time and that time is near.

The dearth of ideologies in the Nigerian political space
“In the course of our methodical approach, not a few deem to have preempted our course of action; and pleaded that we do not proceed to the courts to challenge the election results.

“While that cannot be dismissed as an entirely bad plea, what I can say is that whatever action we subsequently take would be rooted in due process and the rule of law. We will exercise every right available to us under the law, given the electoral facts at our disposal.

“Even as we speak, our people should know that PDP and their agents and privies have instituted 13 lawsuits against my running mate and I. None of them have they discontinued after the election. So, if the PDP don’t pass up their rights under the law, why should we, in APC, do so?

DON'T EVER CURSE YOUR COUNTRY
Many people get confused sometime, though i am not blaming them. If you don't know how you are blessed, you will think your father's farm is worse than your friend father's farm.

£1 is #500 at the parallel market

Did i hear you right?

AND so what !!!!

Let me elucidate from my little experience.

Can anyone in UK use £1 for breakfast?

No !!!!

But in Nigeria #500 will feed you for breakfast and lunch. Majority of people's monthly house rent (self contained apartment not even in the main city) in the UK is btw £700 - £1,000 and above, which N350,000 to N500,000 and that is your own 2 year's rent.

Have you ever paid for insurance before (NEVER HEARD OF IT), insurance in Uk is £280 and that is almost #100,000 monthly.

When last did you pay monthly phone bills? I pay almost #40,000 monthly and if I don't, they are going to block my SIM. Your own MTN can be there for months without recharge.

When last did you work on Saturday and Sunday? This I do compulsorily and on regular basis.

Don't get me wrong, the UK is better than Nigeria, depending on which angle you are viewing it. Do you want to hear the truth? Many people in Nigeria live a more fulfilling life compared to their counterparts abroad. Forget about all the packaging on social media and give credit to the good life you are living.

Do you know why they always come to Nigeria and rush back quickly? Because bills are counting and elongated freedom will put their lives into jeopardy. If you, as a black, attempt to emulate the whites, they will kneel on your neck. Apart from Congo, no citizens in the entire universe enjoy life to the fullest than Nigerians.

You are abundantly blessed but you don't know until you get visa and relocate to abroad, that is when you will know that your 8hrs job in Nigeria with free weekend is awoof. With 8hrs job abroad, you can only pay bills, you will need another 6 to 8 hours to save for the future and plan your life.

The truth is that the grass is green everywhere, it's lack of vision by our politicians and the skewed religious practices (which placed emphasis on miracles) that ascended Nigeria onto a myopic tentacle of complete inertia.

The only things worth celebrating today in history by the political thieves abound in this God forsaken entity called Nigeria, is their common looting of our collective patrimony.
What exactly are they celebratinghuh
Are they celebrating impunity, nepotism, sectionalism, mediocrity, failures, favouritism, insecurity, killings, banditry, boko haram, joblessness, high cost of living, infrastructural decay, inflation, recession etc. What are they celebratinghuh
All those celebrating this 60 years of unprecedented failure are mad people.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria At 60: God Is Angry With Buhari, Country Will Breakup – Primate Ayodele by Whoube99(f): 1:21pm On Oct 01, 2020
Gjrich:
The leader of INRI evangelical spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has issued a warning as Nigeria celebrates her 60th independence anniversary.

Primate Ayodele warned that “God is angry with President Muhammadu Buhari’s government” due to some of the activities of his administration.

He stated loss of lives, disbelief in God, injustice and bad treatment of the electorates by those in government as the sins of the present government which has brought God’s anger on them.

The Prophet also made it known that he doesn’t see Nigeria as one nation in 2035, adding that the vision 2050 that is being projected is fake.

It would be recalled that at the moment, some Yoruba groups are clamouring for secession of Oduduwa Republic.

While reacting to this, Primate Ayodele made it known that Biafra and Oduduwa Republic are here to stay except God intervenes.

He urged President Buhari to be conscious and get a hold of his government.

‘‘Nigeria will break, God is angry with Buhari’s government, Blood is too much, life has been lost and Nigeria is sitting on a gun powder, this government don’t believe in God, they believe in their wisdom, those in government are governing themselves, Buhari isn’t in grip of his government .

“God is angry because there are lots of injustice, difficulties and bad treatment of electorates, God will soon respond, what will happen is Nigeria will be divided

“I am not seeing Nigeria as one nation in 2035, and vision 2050 is a fake vision

“Biafra and Oduduwa nation have come to stay, nobody can stop it except God,’’ he said.

When about 300 policemen went to lay a sieged at a hotel where Wike was lodging did the Oba speak up and condemn that? NO. He kept mute in the face of such day light impunity and now he want to use Wike and trend. All these "traditional rulers of convenience ". Stop disparaging Wike, he is not your problem face your front.
By the way, Wike is not even a political godfather in his home State of Rivers, so it not logical for anybody including this unfortunate Oba to start shouting blue murder.
