flynbird: Wow! One injection for each of these: Rubella, MMR, Measles, HBV, tetanus and mumps. Or just one for all?
MMR is mumps, measles and rubella combined. You take separate vaccines for HBV and Tetanus. Total: just 3.Not many se? grin grin

flynbird: Now where do I start this Immunization against mumps, measles and rubella, Tetanus and HBV test fromhuh I don't even know what to do or where to go. How did u get urs done and its for admission oh not POE. Wonder what business school has got to do with this. Are they taking we africans as animals with some sort of disease and bringing it into the US? Smh!
@flynbird,I believe you're in Ibadan, right? Go to UCH,GOP (general out-patient)department and ask for the immunisation section. You'll get all the vaccinations u need there and cheaply too.

queen47: Hi House, like i stated in one of the threads that I was to go for tourist visa interview on 2nd, I did go and was denied. Now I'm thinking of applying as a student so I can go with student visa. I wanna apply for nursing but the thing is I already have my Registered Nurse and Registered midwife certificates, I wanna apply for RN-BSN which is a 3semester program. I have a list of few schools and I have contacted one of the schools. They said I should complete the application form, send my credentials and certificates to be evaluated by Spantran, write a test of english exam (TOEFL to be precise). But I have some challenges, I really don't understand some of the requirements nor how to go about meeting them, I need advice from the house on how to go about them. Here's part of the admission requirement that I dont understand:

1-R.N.'s applying to the program must provide evidence of current Texas RN licensure. (School I contacted is in Texas)
2-All transient, non-degree, and baccalaureate applicants must provide proof of satisfactory completion of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI). Acceptable performance as set by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board on either the ACT, SAT or TAKS exams.
3-To be considered, you must complete at least 40 hours of the required 60 hours of prerequisite work by the program application deadline. 8 hours, of those 40 hours, must be from the science prerequisites of: Human Anatomy and Physiology , Microbiology, Chemistry. If you are admitted into the program ALL 60 hours of prerequisites must be completed by the start of the program.

Pls I need suggestions on how to meet the above listed requirements. I am thinking that my transcripts which I will send for evaluation by an evaluation board should cover no 3 of the requirements......dont know really.

Pls, would appreciated a list of some good affordable schools so I can look them up. Will prefer schools in Texas cos I have a sis there.

Thanks all for ur kind contributions
Did u tell them u're an international applicant?
1.U have to be a registered nurse in TEXAS.there are some international exams for nurses that ease their quest for licensure in the US. U need to find out if Texas accepts such exams and do it. I think u can do d exam in abuja.pls google it
2.U need to do the SATs and score well. Also TOEFL. U shd know that these criteria SEEM to be for students applying from texas.requirements for international applicants mayb slightly different.
3.Send ur transcripts and let them determine if u did enough course work.
Hope that helps.Good luck wink

Anxiety/psychologic factors can play a major role in premature ejaculation.try to calm ur nerves,d tin is not running away grin grin. That said,u can try MANIX capsules or ADAM'S DESIRE for improved performance.A urologist once said that IMIPRAMINE,an antidepressant, taken once everynight can delay time to ejaculation but it will take some 2-3weeks for its effects to kick.delayed ejaculation is a side effect of the drug.u need a prescription though.diabetes and other medical conditions can also cause d problem,so SEE ur doctor if nothing is working

floflo12: hello, good day...am Joshua,27 years old, male.Have had a problem of acid reflux some years back, and i was put on nexium, after some months without improvement,i got frustrated and stopped taking any drugs. So about 5 days ago,i started having a burning feeling inside my throat, stiff neck, feeling tired.I also have difficult in talking because it affects my voice alot and it hurts really bad whenever i try to talk.

I bought an antacid 200ml Gaviscon, always taking it after meal and before going to bed.I dont have any problem in swallowin food.Sometimes the burning feeling moves to my chest and the throat never stops hurting all day.Its really tiring. The antacid seems not to be working for it.I dont really know what this could be,i really need help.Lastly this burning feeling inside my throat never stops all day, even when i didnt any food,or when i drink just water,it still burn.Your urgen response will be appreciated thanks.
You should see a physician to check u up. For acid reflux, proton pump inhibitors like nexium are the way to go

PoliticsRe: Should I Return To Nigeria? by winbyforce: 11:23pm On Apr 04, 2013
playmode: I have lived in South Africa for close to 13 years but have been planning to return to Nigeria with my family for the past two years. Over the past two years i have sent money home to arrange a place for me and my family to reside in and have done a lot of research to determine what I will do when I get to Nigeria.

All my plans however have been put in disarray with the worsening Political, Infrastructural and Security problems in Nigeria. I just learnt yesterday that there has been close to 10 kidnappings in the lekki axis where i own a property and this just worries me.

Living abroad all these years has definitely "spoilt" me. Now i am used to constant electricity & water, good roads ,clean open market, parks , cheap ADSL internet, advanced security , strong currency , efficient service providers ,quick access to modern technology , world class medical facilities e.t.c All these things makes my life easy and enables me to earn a decent living. My wife is South African just as my kids are and they are also spoiled by the easy life in South Africa.

The recent state of kidnappings in Nigeria has scared my wife who was once eager to move to Nigeria to become reluctant to move. As everyday passes I see the hope of moving to Nigeria with my family fading away. My In laws have even made it clear to me that they do not want their daughter moving permanently to Nigeria because of the kidnapping situation. I have tried defending Nigeria in their presence but everyday news of bombing or kidnapping emanates from Nigeria.

My questions to all Nairalanders especially the ones in Nigeria are these :

(A) If you were in my shoes what will you do?

(B) Is it worth it to come back to Nigeria at this time or should I wait a few more years till the security situation get better?

(C) Should I leave my family in South Africa, come back to Nigeria and visit SA once every two months?

Please only serious minded people need reply and please none of that “I am the first to comment” nonsense. This is a thread directed at mature adults with some level of intelligence. Thank you.
1.You seem not to be in control of your family. Did u say your kids are south africans? And your inlaws ordering you not to take them to naija? Mehn,u need to take charge and be a true nigerian.
2.There are security challenges everywhere be it lagos, new york or even south africa. Don't allow that to deter you from coming home if u have great plans. You grew up in the struggle and were made somewhat tough by it.things are not as bad as they are portrayed by the media and you know that!
3.You can create some level of comfort for yourself and ur family if your pepper rest! Money takes care of many things.
4.In the final analysis,it really depends on WHAT u're coming back to do.that should be the critical factor in determining ur next move.If your wife truly loves you, she'l move with you against all odds. Take d case of one Crystal ?Owonubi(can't accurately recall d surname now) who moved from the US-God's own country-to Jos town with her hubby amidst the boko haram terror and is making positive changes to her environment.
Peace.

Why do we care to help some people on this thread when they are in need of help? Why can't everyone just overlook his/her colleague in trouble time? Is it everyone that deserves help?
