Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Overcoming Unemployment As A Nigerian Youth. by wink2015(m): 5:37pm On Oct 11, 2021
Historicalee:
Unemployment rate in Nigeria rose from 27.1 percent to 33.3 percent from December to March 2021 and it is projected to increase further in 2022, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS.

Source: Google

You are unemployed and it seems like life is literally pressing you down.

You must have heard "Get a skill" a million times, while this truly holds water, it is not as easy as it is said.

Let's fix you to get a job in 30 days.

Here are some ways to get employed especially if you are a solo ranger like me.

If you have a skill or talent, use it. Collaborate with others and develop something.

Network aggressively, there is always someone out there who needs your service.

Know how to pitch, i.e if you are a video editor, approach YouTubers and offer your service.

Market your business or skill.

About marketing your self and your talent, You know what Steuart Henderson Britt, an American professor of marketing said, He said and i quote:
"Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark, you know what you are doing, but nobody else does"
I THINK AGRICULTURE will help Nigerian youth.

But the challenge might be getting a land and tractors and hiring labour to plant, clear grasses.

Apart from CROP AGRICULTURE, one can also go the way of a poultry farm to raise chicken, market eggs from the poultry, rear goat, ram, pigs ( piggery ) rear rabbits etc.

Those land that fulani herdsmen are intimidating southern governors over could be better put to use by the youth in the southern part of Nigeria.

EX-GOVERNOR PETER OBI SEEMS TO HAVE A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF MONEY AND ITS MANAGEMENT with respect to beneficial spending.

That is the etiquette that seems to be keeping him on the higher flyers.

He believed in good saving culture, prudent management of resources.

Unfortunately, there are only a few of his kinds in Nigeria among the politicians that we have experienced so far.

I think Nigeria next President should be a professional ECONOMIST, BANKERS with a good sense of spending that will create more revenue, create savings and all that.
Politics › Re: Bakare Describes 1999 Constitution As A Glorified Death Certificate by wink2015(m): 3:46pm On Oct 11, 2021
I think amending the 1999 constitution is not enough.

Nigeria should go for a Confederal Constitution that gives autonomous powers to the regions to administer their own affairs or unique perculiarity instead of federal government seizing powers to the centre and using it for its own selfish interest.

Our kind of federal system that is built on OVER CENTRALIZATION have led to so much oppression and muddling of our differences to the discomfort of the ethnic nationality who contribute to the baking of the national cake.

Each region should have autonomy to run as a semi country on its own.

LETS GO FOR A CONFEDERAL CONSTITUTION.

Beans is a type of food that I cannot eat in someone's house no matter how it looks

Ever wondered why it's not served in an occasion? cheesy

Beans is proteinous in nature and with the plantain... It's a perfect combo grin

I so love beans alot, I can eat with pap, rice
I don't like beans and yam nor beans and potatoes

I'll be preparing my beans with a specie of beans called patasko
So I prepared beans and plantain this time.

I first washed my beans to remove dirts, hidden preservatives, put in pot and placed on fire
TO GO WITH THE BEANS, DO YOU LIKE THE PLANTAIN TO BE BLACK PLANTAIN that is boiled.

or

you settle for ripe plantain as in fried plantain or DODO?

Restructure Nigeria.

Let the owner of the crude oil develop their God given resources.

Federal government of Nigeria has no right to control the resources of the indigenous people.

Igbo was part of the three principal tribes that secure the Independence from the colonial government of Britain.

But the Hausa and Fulani want to claim they own Nigeria more than other ethnic nationality.

Ojukwu did not just passed on from the earth.

He left an ideaology that will not just go away with his death.

Over 40 years on, that ideaology is still burning like gas induced flame.

The Biafra spirit is holding down Nigeria.

The federal government of Nigeria can not plan without thinking of Biafra.

The northern political leadership are blowing issues beyond proportion.

Biafra means many thing to many people.

Chiwetalu Agu view of Biafra might not mean the same thing with that of IPOB.

He might prefer a Biafra that seek to dialogue peacefully with the federal government.

So the federal government should stop molesting him.

Chiwetalu Agu championing the course of Biafra does not necessarily mean he is attempting to breakup Nigeria.

Meanwhile, he was in a social event sharing bread.

I JOIN OTHER WELL MEANING NIGERIANS TO CALL FOR HIS UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE BY THE DSS.

The federal government over-reacted in their action.

THEY SHOULD LEARN TO "LOOK AND THROW EYES"

You cough they jump at you.

Why are we in DEMOCRACY?

Is it not to have a country that will guarantee our rights and priviledges.

Rights to association freely, right to free speech, right to fair hearing etc

Lanrelagboi:
Asiwaju Tinubu is Back

His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu returned to the country, landing in Lagos Friday evening, October 8. He arrived from London, United Kingdom.
During his trip abroad, he underwent surgery on his right knee as well as rigorous post-surgery physiotherapy on the said knee.
Contrary to unfounded rumour, he underwent no other surgical procedures and contemplates none in the future.

His recuperation has been without complication and ahead of the schedule by the attending surgeon.

He has returned fully healed from the knee surgery and fully committed to doing his modest part of advancing the cause of progressive democratic good governance throughout our beloved nation.
Asiwaju, first and foremost, would like to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for taking the time to visit him in London to express his wishes for a speedy recovery from the knee operation.

He thanks House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, governors, party leaders, members of Northern Caucus of the House of Representatives, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly and indeed many others who called on him in London to wish him well.

He is also not forgetting others who would have loved to visit him but couldn't make it and his numerous friends, associates, supporters and well wishers who have been with him in prayers and supplications to Allah.

Asiwaju Tinubu thanks you all.

Tinubu Media Office,
October 8, 2021.
If the south west loose the presidency come 2023 the Tinubu camp that brought in President Muhammadu Buhari will feel betrayed.
Politics › Re: NDLEA: Why Cannabis Can’t Be Legalised In Nigeria by wink2015(m):
Why are we a federal structural?

If each state in Nigeria with an elected governor can not have the power to legislate on the right to cultivate cannabis or other related plants for medicinal purposes.

The federal government should leave the legal framework at the disposal of each state.

For example, some states in the core north claim their religion forbid the selling of alcohol and they set up sharia paramilitary task force to enforce the ban.

At the same time some states in the middle belt and southern part did not enforce the ban on sale and consumption of Alcohol as the decision was left at the individual consumer to take.

So my take on the matter is that our kind of federalism is contributing to our national challenge.

As every decision we take about Nigeria is been influenced by what the government in Abuja feel.

If Abuja FCT does not key in into that idea no matter how brilliant that idea is the idea will not see the light of the day.

Abuja aso rock must approve it.

This is how Nigeria is being operated right from our independence era.

The centre want to MONOPOLIZE every decision on education, agriculture, police, local government, state creation, resource control, vat collection at the state level, sea port management.

Worst of all, and to the detriment of Southern Nigeria, some of our past Nigerian leaders like Obasanjo and Jonathan used their presidency both as military head of state and civilian President to turn Abuja FCT to the monster that it is today.

They were happy as national leaders rather than fight for their regions development.

Now the north and their political leaders have become a monster to the southern people.

They want to use fulani herdsmen to islamise the south and take over their land and water resources.

Because of Obasanjo failure as a leader right from his military era where he was comfortable being seen as a national leader the Northerners exploited General Obasanjo weakness and today they now have confidence to dictate the direction of Nigeria.

It was the same President Olusegun Obasanjo who foisted Jonathan a very weak Vice President and later President on Nigeria.

President Jonathan had no aspiration for that high office.

He was only interested in the office of Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state.

What was Jonathan performance as Vice President and President very poor.

He did not seek the top job of President or Vice President and obviously was unprepared for the job unlike Chief MKO Abiola who sought the presidency and was prepared and he won the presidential election.

Nigeria must learn not to recycle political office holder or do "ARRANGEE" to pick unprepared and unaspiring and uninspiring political leaders for public office.

If Nigeria made that mistake they should realize that they stand to live with it as the public office holder stand to rigged his or her way for a second term making 8 years of political domination with oppressive style of governance.

It is not only at the federal level this unwritten constitution is applicable.

The state and local government also practise this unwritten constitution.
