aaronson:Dont sweat it, when im done declaring the works of God on earth, I hope for a greater glory with my Lord Jesus Christ. So death is your issue , since you hate death so much, why not just say it too dosent exist ![]() Sorry bro, reality keeps smiling at you. ![]() |
KingEbukasBlog:Lol, an unbiased view from an atheist, i didnt even bother to read the crap. |
CoolUsername:"if i have to resort to fallacies", what is this dude even saying. You've found ![]() Just get a grip of yur life. |
ifenes:Whatever this means ifenes:Thought it should be Being religious KingEbukasBlog, you see what ive been saying ...Atheism is not against religion, its against christianity. Its a conscious effort to rebel against God, the One true God.ifenes:Yeah, having your way without remorse and no one to call you to order. Isnt that the point of atheism. ifenes:We dont fear hell, We fear God. Not "fear" in the wordly context, Just reverence, consciousness of a Creator. Yirat adonai. The Kind of Honour/reverence/fear i have for my parents, yeah. Think of a much more serious honour for the Creator of all. |
aaronson:Lol, In short you are still confused on why bad things happen to "good people". No human declares that there is no God through "logical reasoning", it all has to do with emotions. Even though some employ "logical reasoning" as a facade to validate their emotion-deducted conclusion. just like a similar minded atheist created this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/2806657/father-not-healed-before-year/4#41133797 Its all emotions. Logic/science and atheism are two lines that never meet. You really need to ask yourself who a "good person" is. John the baptist was beheaded, and so what. Stephen was stoned, and so what. Some disciples were murdered, and so what. Look, We do not look up to the one who is able to attack the flesh God forbid me to forgo a celestial glory for a terrestial. Flesh is just dust, glory is all. Afterall, death is just a transition. So my friend, you need to stop thinking that death is the ultimate, its just a transition to Glory. A glory that cant be compared to any other. Stop caging your mind, it didnt begin here and so it dosent end here. Late Bimbo odukoya might just be in a better place. |
KingEbukasBlog:Exactly, some bunch of people that need relevance really badly. |
aaronson:On the contrary, God is ready to help us through life if we put our hands in His hands. @Bolded, do you only believe in the visible or is it about God alone. |
Still dont get why people reply stupid1ty. ![]() |
aaronson:I understand that life sucks sometimes too many, Life was never meant to be lived without God. |
God- the source of all. |

An organisation that helps people translate the Word of God into their own languages disclosed that Bible translators have also been subjected to intense persecution in some parts of the world. Wycliffe Associates said when it started its new translation projects this year, many of its Bible translators faced tough challenges particularly in some Muslim-dominated countries. In India, the group said a Bible translator was dragged from his home in the middle of the night and shot 17 times, Assist news.net reported. In the same week, another Bible translator in the Middle East was arrested, jailed, and tortured. Within a week, three more translators were arrested, and since then, more than 12 Bible translators have been jailed, the report said. The other translators have also reportedly suffered inexplicable challenges, including a leader of a translation workshop in South east Asia who mysteriously lost his voice, while a number of participants in the workshop became ill. One young woman translator from the same language group also died in her sleep during the workshop. Bruce Smith, Wycliffe president and CEO, said what is being experienced by the company's translators is an expected part of spiritual warfare. He expressed relief that the group was able to survive the adversities and successfully launched 203 translation projects worldwide within the year. "I was exhilarated to witness God at work like this. We were stymied in our own power—yet when we prayed, when we acknowledged God's power, God opened the door,'' hesaid. "If ever there was a time when Psalm147:15 could be observed in 'real time, 'this is it.' His word runs swiftly' the Scriptures say. I have found myself speechless, time and time again over the past several month, to see the fulfilment of Revelation7:9—God's Word in every language —now, finally, truly within our reach." The organisation is currently engaged in a large effort called Vision 2025, a plan to have Bible translation started for every language that needs it by 2025,he said. The project is a worldwide endeavour that involves national Bible translators, translation consultants, volunteers, and financial donors, according to the report.

We know women cry easily and often over anything. But men . I mean A grown MAN!!! to cry often in front of His woman . E pass me ![]() I just saw the post on facebook and felt i should share. As for me, the last time i cried in about 10 years was when i lost a friend right where we were having fun. Personally i feel its weak for a man to cry over anything apart from the death of a loved one, I feel men are meant to take charge and decide the next line of action in tough situations. What do y'all think

The world is changing radically for Christians, and it is harder now for many of them to proclaim their love for Jesus Christ when they are being persecuted left and right. Still, Pastor Rick Warren from Saddleback Church prefers to look at the glass half full. He believes that there are actually some lessons Christians can learn from those who are persecuting them. "When you feel pressured by the world because you love Jesus and other people don't, you need to remember three things, "he writes on his website. The first thing to remember is that opposition is an opportunity for Christians to be more like Jesus, Warren says, as he shares the Bible verse John15:18. It says: "If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first." "If you're going to grow up and be like Jesus Christ, then you're going to have to go through the things Jesus went through, including loneliness, discouragement, stress, and temptation. What makes you think God would spare you when he didn't spare his own Son from those things?" Warren asks. The second thing to remember is that opposition will only deepen one's faith. Warren explains that faith is like a muscle—without being stretched, strained, and tested, then it will never grow. Likewise, if a person does not encounter any opposition in their lives, then their faith will not grow. "The strongest believers in the world right now are those who are having their faith tested the most, "he says. And lastly, opposition will give people eternal rewards. Warren uses the Bible verses Matthew5:10-12 to state his case. It says, "God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven." The pastor points out that people will get rewarded for being like Jesus. But if they are rude or obnoxious to unbelievers, they will not get rewarded. "If you live a self-righteous life when you get persecuted, you're not a martyr; you're just a jerk," he says. "You don't get rewarded for that. You get rewarded for being like Jesus. When you share your faith, you're to do it with gentleness and respect, just like Jesus, and you will be rewarded for it one day in Heaven."

What are four things that are worse than death for the Christian? A Wasted Life A life that’s not lived is a life that is wasted. That might be worse than death. For much of my youth, I did waste it. I spent it on frivolous things that will all pass away someday. I pursued a life of wealth while ignoring a call to eternal life. Like the old Shakespearian phrase, “Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all,” which we can say like this, “It is better to have lived and lost than to have never lived at all.” As long as someone is drawing a breath, God is not done with them. Someday God will demand an account from us for the life we have been freely given and what we did with it. Denying Christ This might be the worst thing of all. Jesus said that “many are called but few are chosen” (Matt. 22:14), and on the day of His visitation, “many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness’ ” (Matt. 7:22-23). We can deny Christ by our silence. Instead of obeying the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20), we live out the “great omission.” “ For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels ” (Luke 9:26). That is far worse than a physical death because it includes a spiritual death (Rev. 20:12-15; 21: .Wrong Purpose in Life Even Christians can get caught up in the trappings of the world. There is a “Judas” in every human heart that seeks to have financial security and sometimes even at a great cost. I don’t think Judas knew they were going to crucify Jesus when he betrayed Him because he later regretted what he had done and gave back the 30 pieces of silver. Jesus told Judas the purpose for which God created him, but Judas had his own purpose, which was to accumulate wealth. It backfired–it accumulated him. If only he knew that “ the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs ” (1 Tim. 6:10). Unredeemed Time It is very frustrating when you try and use your coupons only to discover that they’ve already expired. Then you wonder if you would have bought that item in the first place. God commands us “redeeming the time, because the days are evil ” (Eph. 5:16), and James adds “You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes ” (James 4:14). What will you do when you see Jesus for the first time? The Apostle John considers that when he wrote, “Now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming ” (1 John 2:28), indicating that some apparently would shrink back in shame, not so much for what they did but what they should have done. Not redeeming the time is wasting a life. Conclusion We won’t get a second chance at His return. We only get to do this life once. There is no “Plan B,” so Paul recommends that “ whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men ” (Col. 3:3) and to “serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people ” (Eph. 6:7). A life spent not living is a life not lived. God bless you By Pastor Jack Wellman

There are many books available on the subject of communicating with animals. My secretary got 412 results, just from Amazon.com. Some of the books talk about understanding the body language of animals. Others discuss psychic connections with animals. Obviously, someone is interested in talking with them. But, why? What can we gain from communication with animals? In the 1990’s I realized that I had a psychic connection with animals. I can hear their thoughts in my mind and respond back to them in the same way. I learned this through a dog named Sunrise. He had a mission for Jesus. He talked of it often and learned all that he could to prepare for his mission. He left me when he was ready, and I still miss him very much. I believe that somewhere out there, Sunrise is fighting on God’s side. Maybe he is teaching someone else, as he taught me. Maybe he is protecting the innocent from evil influences or bad decisions. I do know that Sunrise opened a door for me. I would like to share some of the things that I have learned from Sunrise and other animals: All animals know God. They don’t question HIS existence or argue HIS methods. They don’t feel the need to improve or change what God has already made perfect. They know God without thinking about it or trying to explain it. They simply know and accept. Animals are God’s servants and messengers. They know that they have a purpose and they don’t ask ‘why me’ or ‘can I do it later?’ They just follow their hearts. Their hearts are open to the influence of God. All animals know love. Animals are loyal, forgiving, empathic and loving. They can sense our emotional states and respond. They understand that the tempers and reactions of humans aren’t about them. They come back for love and to give affection and comfort, time after time, when we have treated them badly or ignored them. They are generous and kind without wondering if they will be rewarded for it. They don’t wait for someone to be kind first. Animals are present in each moment. They live each moment as if there is nothing else. They recognize the beauty of life and this Earth. They never forget the wonder of everything around them. All too often, we humans get caught up in our day-to-day tasks and “what will happen tomorrow.” We completely miss today. How often do we find ourselves going through life in a state of numbness? Or how often do we wake up and realize that we’ve been doing whatever we were doing with no awareness at all. Animals get through their daily activities, but they do not lose ‘today’ in the process. They can focus on their goals and still enjoy the journey. Animals know people. They see into the souls of people. They don’t care about how you look or what you do. They see you as you really are at the core and they accept you. They know that we ALL are creations of God and therefore, worthy of love and attention. They don’t care if you say something stupid or if you make a mistake. They realize that we are all perfect because God made us. Whatever flaws we may have are only judged as flaws through our cultural perceptions. Animals know that we are here to learn, grow and enjoy the journey. Animals know themselves. They are true to themselves, no matter what. They don’t base their actions on what someone else may think. They are guided by love and they follow that instinct without question. They know their bodies. When they are tired, they rest. When they are hungry, they eat. When they are restless, they exercise. Animals know their place in Nature. They revere the order of the Universe. If they need to eat, they eat what they were created to eat. They protect what they need to protect and leave the rest alone. They don’t tear up all of the trees that they live in ….or poison streams because they want a greater yield. They don’t pollute the air because they must do everything faster. They live in harmony with all other life, just as God meant them to. I learned all of these lessons through my gift of talking with animals. I believe that anyone can open this gift within themselves. I cannot give any how-to advice because I don’t know how I opened the space. It was just there. Somewhere in my heart I was willing to believe that it could be possible. However, I don’t think one has to open that psychic connection in order to understand the lessons that animals have to teach us. Just watch them closely. They will speak to you, one way or another. When NBA superstar LeBron James was asked about the possible return of injured players Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert to the lineup of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the basketball player answered that nothing in life is certain except for Jesus Christ. "It's only one guy in the world, ever, where everything will be all right when he comes back, and that's Jesus Christ. Other than that, you can't bank on nobody being okay, "he told Cleveland.com. James noted that the two players' involvement in the team is a great boost for their chances of winning. When Irving appeared during practice, James considered him to be "like a breath of fresh air." Irving has the ability to score 21.7 points per game while Shumpert is a whiz when it comes to defending the opponent's best guard or wing. "We just, we do not play a 48-minute game," James continued. "It's either one or two guys that breakdown and it breaks the whole team down. Until we find the right lineup, the right matchup, that guys are gonna play 48minutes, or, when they're on the floor they play their minutes the right way, then we won't have stretches where we continue to let guys get to the rimor make shots." James scored a season-high-tying 37 points in a recent game, but this was still not enough to save the Cavs from a 114-108 overtime loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. James took matters in his own hands in the fourth quarter scoring 23 points in that period, 21 after Cleveland fell behind by 94-81 with 6:52 to go. When asked why he plowed through with the game, James simply answered, "Who else was gonna' do it?" For the next game, James just hopes to do better, with or without Irving and Shumpert. "We get a stop, we win the ball game, "he said.
