What they say is that the vaccines would reduce the effects of the symptoms and hospitalizations. That's why they advice you continue to wear masks in public. If you have taken measles vaccine or you have given your children measles vaccines, you will know that you will still come down with measles infection sometimes later in life. The issue is that the symptoms would be very mild.
