Spot on my brother. CTPlayer is a classic Nazi infiltrating this tread. He used to call himself Oyinbowithatan and the first day he came on this forum, I called him out with his overt racism and bigotry. How can a guy classified 185million Mexicans as rapist and drug dealers. It was yesterday the same skinhead was ranting about illegal aliens committing many crimes in US. Guess where he get that from ? From the play book of Trump and his Nazi buddies. The foools here that give him his useless likes are not even smart enough to know that the guy loathes them. I can understand the Nazi piece of Basura supporting his comrade in bigotry Trump but for our brothers in Nigeria supporting a vile racist pig named Trump is beyond appaling to me.
That's part of the primitive base human nature, some people hate themselves and their people, they love, worship and adore their oppressors and wish to be like them. Many Jews supported Hitler against their own people. It was Jews pointing out other Jews to the SS to be arrested and taken to concentration camps. Many Nigerians (especially those that hate Nigeria and other nigerians) would support anyone that hate Nigeria and even the black race.

What was Jonathan minster of agriculture known for ?

Why was he the most popular minister ?
Akinwunmi Adesina was popular for his fertiliser policy which greatly reduced corruption in fertiliser distribution to farmers and made it available.
No Jonathan minister increased rice yields per hectare.

It's no surprise. Adolf Hitler actually became German leader by popular support and the NAZI party won majority seats at the elections. Trump and Hitler appeal to primitive base emotions of hate, bigotry and looking for scape goats for their failures. Hitler used the Jews as scapegoat, Trump is using immigrants, gays and liberals as scapegoat
They cloak all their hateful actions under nationalism.

Ambassador Taylor was a war veteran, a silver star holder and an unblemished diplomatic career of over 30 years. In fact he was brought out of retirement to help handle Ukraine issues, and someone who cannot polish his shoes is insulting his integrity. Even Trump cannot hold a candle to Taylor.

What of the memo of the phone call that collaborated all the whistleblower's allegations?

What of the testimony of former Ambassador to Ukraine, ambassador Yovanovitch, who was removed simply because she refused to be used for an illegal operation?

What of the present envoy to Ukraine Kurt volker who also collaborated the whistle blowers allegations?

What of the EU envoy, Gordon Sondland who just 2 days ago admitted to a quid quo pro, thereby collaborating the whistleblower?

What about the testimony of Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman, who heard the actual call with the Ukrainian president and was disturbed by it, thereby reporting it to white house lawyers?

What about the press briefing by mick mulvaney admitting on national TV, that indeed there was a quid quo pro, Ukrainian president investigating Joe Biden for the release of military aid money already approved.

All these people collaborated the whistle blower, unless you are insinuating all these people are working together against trump,

From the other thread, the poster is even implicating herself further. No border closures wont increase crop yeilds per hectare. Mechanization does reduces labor cost, increases yeilds and profit. Nigerias rice production comes from more land being cultivated. People were investing in rice before the closure look at the charts. The farmers just couldn't keep up with demand hence all the imports.

The government already offers low rate loans through ABP. Have collateral also reduces risk for private sector investors meaning they wont need to charge as much interest. Only government is willing to lend below inflation rate as they've been doing.
You still do not get it, probably you don't understand economics or you are not a business man. Even if you are a businessman, you are probably a trader.

Machines are very expensive and require huge capital investments. My friend that into rice processing tells me he needs a rice sorter to separate the coloured rice from the white ones, as pure white rice has high value. He said the machine alone cost N8 million from Europe. Now if he borrows N8 million from bank at 25%, how can he pay back principal and interest if he has to contend with cheap smuggled rice?

Accessing government loans is a herculean task and government only provide loans for small scale farmers. Rice processing machines are extremely expensive. The full rice processing machines like boiler, dehusking machine, dryer, destoning machine, polishing machine and sorting machine costs tens of millions each.

In manufacturing and productions, recouping of investment and repayment of loans in the short possible time is the goal. After that goal have been met, the manufacturer reduce price to only reflect running and maintenance costs.

If cheap foreign alternative is available, local industries can never take off. China itself banned imports for 40 years to allow local manufacturers to germinate and expand, even now China strictly regulates imports. (This is one of the beef Trump has with china).

Who are the people that complained? So the only corruption in the whole country is Biden? What exactly is Biden being accused of? If Trump actually want to investigate corruption by US citizens, aren't there agencies given those responsibities and official channels to take?

So what about the killing of Kassoggi, should not Trump hold the Saudi government responsible and withhold any assistance, since Trump is so concerned about corruption in other countries?
PoliticsRe: Increase Rice Production with Mechanization instead of border closure by wirinet(m): 7:00pm On Nov 06, 2019
Blue3k:
The lack of mechanization adversely effects agricultural industry productivity. Nigeria is only half as productive per hectare as other countries like India. According to their estimates Nigeria could double the productivity. If it did Nigeria wouldn't need to worry about imported rice competition.

The bans don't fix productivity issues with rice farming or agriculture in general. Farmers dont access to credit because they're risky because they dont have collateral.
The land isn't theirs most of the time. Getting goods to market is also an issue for many farmers.
The bans will fix productivity issues especially with rice. This is because, with cheap imported smuggled rice, no one will invest in rice farming and processing. Rice farming and processing cannot attract much needed loan. Interest rates in Nigeria hovers between 25 - 30% per annum, how will farmers even pay the principal not to talk about paying the interest, when competing against cheap smuggled rice?

If the ban stays for a while and the investors in the rice business are able to recoup their investments and pay of bank loans, then after, they can reduce price to imported levels. That was how other industries like the telecoms industry grew.

Your comment shows that you are pained that you lost your virginity in a mistake that is why you said such.
FYI I am a guy. Guys don't lose their virginity, they take virginity. Guys don't issue out blood during first time sexual encounters and having first time is no big deal as far as guys is concerned.

As a guy, virginity was not even one of my criteria, when I choose a wife. Apart from beauty and strong physical characteristics that I wanted my children to possess, I emphasised intelligence and strong will, or before I forget, good sex was of utmost importance. I can stand dead woods.

Only a woman who lacks self worth elevates virginity to the status of a Nobel price.
Mary the mother of Jesus christ is exalted among women today because she was chosen by God to bear Jesus christ which was only made possible because of her virginity.

Mind you, there are other women during her time but she was chosen for her piousness, piety and immaculate personality.
Even if we were to believe Jewish sorry roman folklore, Mary was a very young girl in her early teens. Most girls of that age was expected to be virgins, then and even now.
If she was a Virgin before giving birth to Jesus and marriage to Joseph, what about after, ,did she remain a perpetual Virgin. You mean she never reached orgasm.

Pre-marital sex is wrong and i will never indulge in what is wrong and an abberation before God and man.
Good for you. Pre marital sponsorship of families of supposed girlfriend is also wrong, it is also morally wrong before God and man. I wish you luck in the search for a man who would wait sex after marriage.

Trump wants to turn the US into a monarchy. It seems his travels to monarchical countries like Saudi Arabia, UK, Qatar or authoritarian countries like North Korea and China seem to have intrigued him.

See the first cabinet meeting he held on assumption of office;

At Monday’s Cabinet meeting — the first President Trump had held with everyone on board —
White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus spoke up to thank Trump “for the opportunity and blessing that you’ve given us to serve your agenda and the American people.”

Priebus said he was offering words on behalf of everyone in the room. But one by one, pretty much everyone else seated around the table took the opportunity to lavish their leader with praise, too, as the media looked on.

“It’s an honor to be able to serve you,” said Attorney General Jeff Sessions. “I am privileged to be here,” said Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta. “Deeply honored.”

“What an incredible honor it is to lead the Department of Health and Human Services at this pivotal time under your leadership,”

Tom Price, secretary of that department, added when it was his turn to speak. “I can’t thank you enough for the privileges you’ve given me and the leadership that you’ve shown.”

When other Cabinet members got the opportunity, they offered more specific adulation.

Mick Mulvaney, director of the Office of Management and Budget, thanked the president for his “direction in pulling that budget together.”

Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao thanked Trump for visiting her department last week, relaying that “hundreds and hundreds of people were just so thrilled.”

And Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, after noting that some of his colleagues had touted their international travels for Trump, served up this: “A lot of us just got back from Mississippi. They love you there.”

The one exception was Mattis.

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis was the most reserved in his comments, offering praise for the “men and women of the Department of Defense” but not Trump specifically.

How many of these ass lickers still have their jobs?

Imagine, ambassador Yovanovitch was told to tweet praises of Trump in order to keep her job; - https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1076156

It now makes sense why White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham made the stupid comment "John Kelly was totally unequipped to handle the genius of our great President"

So to keep your job in the Trump administration, you have to keep massaging Trump's bruisied ego. That's is another quo quid pro.

If the congress fail to pass legislation to block all the abuses being perpetuated by Trump, a future president whether Republican or Democrat might be embolden to go full dictatorial.

Happy first sunday of this month to you all.

Today suppose to be a happy day for me as it coincide with my mum's birthday which we have planned to celebrate.

But it turn out to be a dissapointment because my fiance broke up with me 6 hours ago.

I don't know where i wrong him o.

My only pain in this breakup is that he may withdraw his support financially in regards to my sibling schooling, which we now be my priority.

I have never fallen in love with a man before except him but he decided to break my heart.

I don't think i will ever love a man again for a very long time because it seems they are all same.
You don't know where you have wronged him, but you denied him sex for 2 years? That man deserves an award for man of the year. Most guys go don ja after 2 months.

Your only pain in this breakup is that he may withdraw his support financially in regards to my sibling schooling ,which is your priority.

You are a very selfish person. The poor guy is sponsoring your whole family and what have you given him in return? Nothing. Ordinary sex, you can't even give him, as if that is worth much. God saved the poor brother. I am sure your family would have bankrupt him with dowery and wedding demands if he had gone ahead with the wedding.

You say you have never fallen in love with a man before except him, but you just said your family is your priority. You love only what you get from him. Would you have still been claiming love if he is not sponsoring your family? You think he has no family member that needs sponsoring to school?

I pray you find a man you can dictate how and when he can have sex to and at the same time control how he spends his money.

One advice, sex before or after marriage has never guaranteed a successful marriage. So many other factors ensures a successful marriage.

If 20% of an average church with a membership of 5000 people pay tithes (10%) of all salaries and earnings, do you know how much that amounts to monthly? If we assume the average tithe is 5000, that's 5000 x 1000, with is 5 million monthly. We are not taking about offerings, first fruits, special offerings and gifts yet. Although it runs through Egypt and commercially controlled by them, the canal is open to use by all vessels whether commercial or war vessels and in times of war and peace. Simply put, it is international waters running through Egypt and Egypt cannot stop anyone from using it regardless of their flag.
Even Israel dare not take over and block the Suez canal. During the 6 day war, Mose Dayan ordered the take over and closure of the Suez canal. The British and the French immediately sent warnings to the government of Israel not to dare touch the canal. Israel not wanting a war with Britain or France withdrew from the canal and left it open throughout the duration of the war.

Nigeria = North is a landlocked area and in no position to be negotiating with Biafra for sea corridor, post Biafra.
North might be landlocked geographically, but politically it is not landlocked. The north can easy form an alliance with the west to get access to the sea. The north can even get access to the sea through Benin republic or Cameroun as they share borders and the Fulani tribes with these countries.
The south east on the other hand apart from being geographically landlocked are also politically landlocked. They have no friends and any alliance they purportly have is force or imposed. They want to impose an alliance with the south south with treats, insults and intimidation, not tact and diplomacy.
The only way you are keeping SS minorities interested in dead Nigeria post Biafra is via granting of total resource control and autonomy to them.
Just because the south east do not have oil in commercial quantity, they fail to understand oil politics. Small weak countries can never resource control. Oil is often controlled by powerful nations. Once Nigeria let go of Niger Delta oil, other countries would fight themselves for control. The various tribes and communities apart from being greedy are already at war with each other. The powerful countries will just arm various tribes, to kill each other while sucking the oil.
Even though the US says it wants to leave Syria, they have held tight onto kurd's oil fields, which Russia is not happy about, because Russia wants the oil fields.

Doing this eventual renders you impotent in these negotiations. Because the interest of those minorities, which would include avoiding opening theatre of war in their territory, while you enjoy peace in yours, will override your hateful ambitions.
How will there be war in our territory? How will a war between igbos and yorubas/Hausa-Fulanis be fought on our own soil. You mean the Igbo soldier will March from Umuahia and the Hausa soldier would march from kanu, they would then go to Yenagoa or Warri to fight.

If the igbos declare secession, Nigeria would have to take over the territory to bring it back, not leave it and invade another territory.

Either way, independent Biafra will not be same as seceding Eastern Nigeria.
Independent Biafra will be able to negotiate trade deals with member states of UN for weapons as a sovereign nation, and would have global clout and support, especially pertaining it's right to sea access.
You think buying weapons on the international stage is like ordering phone from aliexpress? Even Nigeria has to do a lot of lobbying to be able to buy weapons from the US, Russia, Israel, South Africa, China, etc., and you think a separatist group can just order weapons just like that.

The minute a group declares secession unilaterally, they would be branded terrorist by the Federal government, and it would be difficult for countries with diplomatic relations with Nigeria to do business with them.
PoliticsRe: Igbo Will Suffer If They Secede —senator Doguwa by wirinet(m):

I'm not talking about land borders, I'm talking about international water ways. The essence of using London as an example is to show that being landlocked is different from access to sea. London is landlocked city but has access to sea vis its water ways and handles much British shipping.

If Biafra turns out to be just the South East, it may be landlocked but it will still have access to the Sea via its water ways. Of course Biafra and Nigeria may have to reach an agreement on the movement of people and goods, however, Nigeria is duty bound to honour article 125(1) of UNCLOS which states:

Right of access to and from the sea and freedom of transit

1. Land-locked States shall have the right of access to and from the sea for the purpose of exercising the rights provided for in this Convention including those relating to the freedom of the high seas and the common heritage of mankind. To this end, land-locked States shall enjoy freedom of transit through the territory of transit States by all means of transport.

So anyone who thinks that Nigeria will have the exclusive right to do whatever it likes, or unduly prevent Biafra from having access to the sea, should perish the thought as international law which Nigeria is a signatory to prevents that.
You are approbating and reprobating at the same time. How can reach an agreement on the movement of people and goods and at the same time not have exclusive rights to do whatever you like.
