Forget that thing. I started life (relationship wise) with a no sex relationship, and I seriously got burnt. This girl loved me to death. Why was Trump so obsessed with Ukraine announcing the investigation of Joe Biden even though there is no report of a crime by anyone? Because it can then be used a political weapon. Trump saw how effective Comey's announcement of criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton was just one week to the elections. It did not matter that Comey later recanted that there was nothing found on Clinton, the mere announcement did the damage, and Hillary Clinton admitted that the announcement did serious damage to her campaign. So Trump wanted to reenact the same thing with Joe Biden. He feels a mere announcement by the Ukrainian president of a criminal investigation of Hunter Biden and by extension Joe Biden is enough to damage his campaign. Hence the obsession with Burisma and fighting corruption in Ukraine.
Unfortunately for him, it backfired this time around.

In 2008, Obama and Biden ran and won. Hunter Biden took a job at a bank and filed to end all lobbying, to avoid conflicts.

In 2012, Viktor Shokin conducted an investigation of Burisma, for conduct between 2010 and 2012. Specifically, the Ministry of Ecology granting special permits. It ended with a fine paid to a Ukrainian lawmaker. In other words, the investigation was conducted and concluded, and seems kind of corrupt.

In 2013, Ukraine had a political revolution, followed by Russia invading Crimea in 2014.

2 years after the investigation concluded, Hunter Biden joined Burisma as a private citizen in 2014. Of course, it was questioned at the time as a potential conflict, but, nothing untoward was found. Do note: November 2014 elections gave Republicans control of House and Senate, including the committees that overlook things like this. They chose not to investigate or pursue.

In Feb 2015, Shokin is promoted to Prosecutor General of Ukraine, and gets more corrupt. The Anti-Corruption Action Center was exposing his corruption, so he had them raided... Stories of his prosecutors accepting bribes came out, and then he began firing anyone that investigated it.

Worldwide calls for his removal began. IMF, EU, EBRD, and of course, the Obama admin.

Feb 2016, his deputy resigned in protest, denouncing the corruption and lawlessness of the office.

The next day, Shokin submitted his resignation. Then, came back, and investigated the Anti-Corruption Action Center AGAIN. Protests occured, and he was officially dismissed by parliamentary votes.

In other words, for the entire time Biden was at Burisma, Shokin wasn't investigating them, and Biden was calling for an investigator that actually would investigate corruption.

This is the complete opposite of what the GOP claims, because they're spreading literal conspiracy theories.

I had an aunt that has 4 children (boys) with here boyfriend and live in lover of over 15 years. As the guy refused to pay her dowery, she left him to marry another guy (although 2nd wife to a rich alhaji ). The alhaji brought dowery to our house and we collected. Later after a year, the ex boyfriend came crying to the family, saying we did him wrong.

Joe Biden cannot be impeached by congress. Yes he can be indicted or found culpable of a crime (but that means nothing ), it is only the FBI and the justice department that can prosecute him, and only a competent court that can convict him. Sondland also said Gulianni made it clear to them (the 3 amigos) that everything (white house visit and the release of aids) is dependent on the investigations. Infact sondland and his colleagues wrote out a draft of the speech promising the investigations into Burisma Bidens and election interference with Zelensky's staff. Sondland also told Zelensky to look Trump in the eye and assured him he will announce the investigations when the meet in Warsaw (Trump never made it to Warsaw)

The only people that could not and can never see that aids were tied to announcement of investigations are Trump's worshippers and the Republicans.

This is a testimony from sondland he has completely exonerated himself from the issue by saying his side of the story. He called trump after the whistleblower released smoke and trump told him exactly what he said today.
This isn't about what trump might have been trying to cover up presumably from the whistleblower complaint rather its about what trump said.

It is very obvious Trump knew he is about to be caught and the house has opened investigations as a result of the whistleblower.
Sondland never asked about a quid pro quo. Sondland asked what do you want from Ukraine, and Trump said "I want nothing! I want no quid pro quo! I just want Zelensky to do the right thing, to do what he ran on"
First Trump answers were off, Sondland never mentioned quid pro quo. He simply wanted instructions from Trump. Secondly, he contradicted himself in the same sentence. He said I want nothing, then immediately said I want him to do what he ran on. That itself is a want. Zelensky obviously ran on hundreds of promises as politicians do. It's the Ukrainian that should demand Zelensky do what he ran on and not Trump.
Finally, Trump had only two calls with Zelensky, the first one was a congratulatory call immediately after he won the elections, and the second one was when he asked for a favour.

Trump did tie the investigations of Burisma Biden to the aids, not directly, but through Rudy Gulianni. When he tells Zelensky to talk to Gulianni, it means Gulianni will tell you my demands.
