midnighter:I tried piriton, but I always react. Once I take it get chest congestion (mild asthma) for up to three days. Is there any other you can recommend. I now use Fansider. |
scriptaz18:I agree with you. Medicine is not mathematics. Treatment change with time. What is considered standard treatment today can become dangerous in few years time. There is no one size fits all. As long as you get the necessary relief and it's has been able to keep you alive and less pain for over five years, then you are alright. It's the same thing with malaria. I am very prone to malaria and I struggled all the way from childhood to adulthood with malaria. In fact anytime I do blood test, there was always some degree of malaria in my blood. My drug of choice all through my childhood was chloroquine. But since about 10 years ago, I was informed that chloroquine has been banned. The doctor said it has all sorts of side effects, some of which are fatal. No so my wahala start o. I have tried every new drug in the market, it only help me for about 2 weeks to a month. After a month or so I am down again. I buy some of the drugs for up to N4, 000. Same thing with my children. Last month I got so frustrated and went to my chemist friend, I told him want chloroquine injection , morning and night for 3 days. I told him I would pay him anything. He agreed. After that intensive regime for 3 days, I became very weak, but I recovered after 2 days. A week later I went to test again for malaria, and for the first time in years, they could not find one plasmodium parasite in my blood. After this I tool all my children for injection (although on a less intensive regime), and today, they too are malaria free. What I do now, to keep the malaria at bay, is to take Fansidar every 2 weeks. So different strokes for different folks. |
LOMBARDY:They were not. Up till today an Oyo man would not understand an Ondo dialect, likewise an ijebu man would not understand an egun dialect. |
zendi:You far right people can lie blatantly without regards for reality when justifying your extremist ideology. You are no different from ISIS, that employ falsehood and lies to lure millions into their sick ideology. Which bill Clinton had peace. Bill Clinton that the Republicans did not allow rest one day. Bill Clinton that all aspects of his life was investigated by Republican led house, from when he was Arkansas governor to all the ladies he ever had affairs with. They even appointed an independent council that that was given blanket freedom to investigate every aspect of his life. At the end of the day, he was impeached for having sex with a random girl. George Bush (jnr) that used lies and deceit to plunge the US into an unnecessary war, that cost US trillions of dollers, and thousands of US lives. How many trouble did the Democrats give him, how many times was he threatened with impeachment, even though his Vice, duck cheney was implicated in all sorts of defense contract scams. Which peace did the Republicans give Obama. Trump did not let him rest during his presidency. He attacked Obama constantly with all sorts of allegations, from the birther conspiracy to lies of being a closet Muslim. His wife and children were not spared Republican venom. Even wearing an ordinary tan suit was a problem for Republicans. Trump is a criminal that had been getting away with criminality for so long. Nemesis is gradually catching up with him. Almost every body that had worked with him is either in jail or indicted. The next in line is his new personal lawyer - Rudi Gulianni (his old one is awaiting jail time). Rudi cannot avoid jail time for all the crimes he commited on behalf of Trump. Now tell me how many of Bill Clinton, Obama, George Bush, or any other former presidents aids and friends have been jailed or indicted as Trump's? Many more will still go to jail before Trump himself. Let's wait and see. |
kopfschmerzen:Isn't that ironic, Republicans impeached Bill Clinton for lying about a sexual affair, but support Trump for lying multiple times daily. They support even stonewalling and obstructing house inquiries into his criminal activities. Just like I reminded PDP supporters when they supported all Jonathan's actions irrespective of legality, what goes around comes around, Trump or Republicans can't remain in power forever. When the Democrats take over white house, I hope they will not scream blue murder when a democrat president use his office for personal gains and to persecute his political opponents. |
LOMBARDY:Not exactly correct. There was nothing like Yoruba language pre colonialisation. There was Oyo, ijebu, Ijesha, egun, etc languages. It was Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowder that created the standard Yoruba language in the 1850s, from Oyo and Ibadan dialects, in order to translate the Bible into a universal (yoruba ) language. It would have been impractical to translate the English Bible to the tens of languages in the Oyo kingdom at that time. Most people known as Yoruba today were ethnic groups contained in the old Oyo empire. |
Orjioorji:Why should everybody speak igbo? The Niger delta (assuming they go with biafra) has over 30 different languages. They have some major ethnic groups like Urhobo, Isoko, Ijaws, etc. Will the igbos subsume and dominate them like the way the Fulanis subsume and dominate all northern tribes? |
meccuno:But Somalia is almost a monoethnic country (over 85% are Somalis) and they are permanently at war. The irony is the war is between different Somali factions. |
Abbeybailey:Don't mind the poster, lies to in order to spread hatred, but claims he follow a religion of love. I stopped reading at first when I saw this; While Zolnour did not mention any names, he obviously was trying to make a political pointThen I saw that even fox dismissed the report; Fox News analyst and former Obama State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf was dubious of the Iranian official's allegation. "This sounds like totally made up BS," she said. |
nkemjacob2:You are right, not all asthma is hereditary. Some can be due to environmental factors, some can be triggered by work environment. I did not develop asthma until I went into the forest in one of for 3 days in my final year at the university. It is not so serious? It is triggered by a combination of factors like stress, cold, excessive busy environment and malaria. Asthma is not contagious. While its causes are still unknown, researchers have determined that asthma can be caused by both hereditary (inherited) and environmental factors. |
Youngjohnosas:Drinking snail water without boiling it? That's suicide. Snail is the second most deadly animal to humans after the ubiquitous mosquito. Very bad advice. |
Amuatulu:It's more complex than that. Some kids have asthma early in life and outgrow it by adulthood. Other like me never had asthma at all in childhood and youth, but develop symptoms later in life, when exposed to cold and some allergins. My mum had her first asthma attack well into her 60s. @OP. You both need to see a doctor for proper tests and to know the type and severity of the asthma. You need to know what you are going into. |
aminusodiq:You (and most commentators on this thread) will make very poor judges. You hear one side of the story which even doesn't make sense and you are ready to crucify one party. Hear the disjointed story; She added that she decided to tie Chidi up so that she could leave without being beaten again, but he woke up before she could tie his hands after already tying his legs. She decided to tie him up while he is sleeping, to enable her leave without him beating her up. Since he was sleeping, why not just walk away? If she tied him up and leaves the house, who would have untied him when he wakes up? So after he woke up in the course of tying him, a fight ensued and only the lady (who alleges she was being abuse ) left without a scratch, the abuser was hospitalized after being stabbed. Imagine a broken bottle just appeared in the hands of the lady during a serious fight. No wonder Nigerians are easily deceived by politicians, pastors and scammers, we are just too gullible. |
Ugozambi:That's true. That was how she dashed Davido and chioma a baby boy (in her dreams), and lots of people believed her. https://www..ng/entertainment/congratulations-davidos-girlfriend-welcomes-a-baby-boy-kemi-olunloyo-claims-read-tweet Both Aunty Kemi and the people that always support her need psychological evaluation. |
seunmsg:We need to borrow Trump just for a few months, to help us plan a border wall along the Nigeria Benin border. Apart from an invasion of illegal aliens, we are also dealing with smuggling of substandard rice, unwholesome turkey and chicken, drugs and all sorts of second hand goods, including second hand socks, pants and bra. |
ahiboilandgas:Same thing too with your Igwe, Obi or Oba. If the kanu Emirates is meaningless to you, it is meaningful to the Kano indigenes. What of your own kingdom or traditional stool, is it also meaningless? That's the Nigerian law, it's not peculiar to Sanusi. Some people prefer upholding and maintenance of traditional institutions to riches. Have you ever wondered how much it costs the British royal family? Meanwhile, there are millions of homeless people in the same Britain. |
ahiboilandgas:And you sir is also part of the problem. Emir Sanusi is not the Governor, traditional rulers in Nigeria have little or no powers, ordinary local government chairman is more powerful than a traditional ruler. Emir Sanusi was almost removed from office by Ganduje because of his speaking out against the political rulers. Have you forgotten that he was removed as CBN governor for daring to ask Jonathan to account for our oil earnings. Sanusi is helping the poor he can, if you too help one or two poor people with food, cloths, medicine and education, Nigeria will be a slightly better place. |
garetz:Does this invalidate the argument that carbon emissions from human activities contribute immensely to green house gases and thus global warming? Does the fact that lots of doctors smoke cigarettes Invalidate the truism that cigarettes smoking is dangerous to your health? Does the fact that lots of pastors engage in illicit sex with members invalidate their preaching that premarital marriage is sin? I just don't get your argument? |
OChimex:Imagine always supporting alleged sex offenders, and always criticising women who claim to have been sexually abuses. That's how she gladly reveal the identity of the second accuser in the Fatoyinbo case, but now she is critical of kiki mordi for not revealing the identity of the girl that actually went into the "cold room". From the report kiki mordi and her crew said in their year long investigation, they interviews lots of sexually abused students and narrowed down their target to few lecturers. I really wonder why aunty kemi always jump to attack women involved in sexual abuse cases. |
Princeofasia:You knew what? You like kami because she is a spirit abi? She is always present during controversial sex abuse cases. She was in unilag when the instigation was being carried out, she knew the Lecturers and the Kiki mordi before the report came out, abi. That was how she knew the details of the rape allegations against the COZA pastor more than biodun Dakolo and pastor fatoyinbo added together. |
garetz:Leave your hatred for Democrats and leftists for a second and use your brains to think of the logic. Plastic items take centuries to degrade. Meanwhile, most plastic products are used only once by almost every single individual on earth, from straws to plastic water bottles, shopping bags, spoons, diapers, food wrappers, phones cases, and every other household items. Now, these one use plastics get dump most of the time in Rivers, which eventually ends up in the oceans. Some are dumped in landfills, but landfills quickly get filled up. Imagine, what will happen eventually after a few decades of such everyday dumping of plastics into the oceans. It is estimated that by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in our oceans, if something is not done to stop plastics getting into the oceans. Now, does that sound logical or sound like CNN, leftist and democrats propaganda |
Timbuktuo:Although the site is not opening, from what I can gleam from the screenshot you posted, the report was just what we call junk journalism. It's says; "A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by the Observer (mind you this paper is The Guardian ), warns ....." Now read this slowly and tell me if it says anything that makes sense. A secret report that was suppressed by defence chiefs, but was able to be obtained by the Observer. How do you verify such stories? |
Trapping:Obama ke? Was it Obama that started the cry for climate change? When Al Gore wrote his book "an inconvenient Truth" in 2006, Obama was no where near the white house. You guys are so obsessed with Obama. Now are you guys saying that human activities have no impact on the environment? Are you saying that humans pumping CO2 (a green house gas) into the atmosphere since the industrial revolution from industrial engines and cars would have no effect on the environment? Are you insinuating that clearing trees of millions of hectares of land for human habitation, farms and factories would have no effect whatsoever on the environment? Are you insinuating that the increase of human population from 1 billion in 1800 to almost 8 billion today will not have an impact on the environment? Are you saying that the desertification of Northern Nigeria and the massive soil erosion going on in eastern Nigeria are all normal climatic changes? Please explain. |
happney65:I think it goes beyond smoking something. Lots of people that smoke something make some degree of sense sometimes, Trump is permanently saying and doing dump things. The latest is a few hours ago when asked about ISIS fighters escaping because of his Syria withdrawal. Trump not worried about Isis fighters fleeing Syria because ‘they’re going to be escaping to Europe’ - https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-isis-syria-turkey-europe-kurdish-allies-a9149796.html%3famp Meaning ISIS is Europe's problem and not the US. He even made more outlandish statements by conflating the peshmerga fighters (who were US allies) to PKK (he first said PKKey ) who are fighting turkey for independence with PKK a militant group fighting for kurds independence. Does Trump not get any briefings from the state department, that is if he is unable to read? |
udemzyudex:Forced by Turkey. The fighters cannot remain in the camps guarding ISIS fighters, while Turkey invade their lands, killing women and children. |
happney65:You want more shock? Now read this; Trump made this comment a few hours ago referencing a tweet written by Luis Verlarde; [quote]"They didn't help us in the Second World War, they didn't help us with Normandy," Trump said of the Kurds. He added, "With all of that being said, we like the Kurds." am surprised he did not mention the kurds helping them win the civil war. And he boasts " in my great and unmatched wisdom" Abeg my brother read the comments on the tweet, I have been laughing so loud, my wife thinks I have gone crazy. |
Khaleell001:Abeg helep me reason with your deep depth of reasoning ; What is the benefit of watching Arsenal Vs Chelsea match to your life? |
happney65:I am shocked that some Nigerians support right wing media. I was even more shocked that someone linked brietbart here on nairaland. Trump and his Nigerian Abobakus are suggesting that any enquiry or investigation must be voted upon by the whole house before the committees involved can commence. |
GEJDHERO:It seems you never attended a Nigerian university. If you did, you will know that a bona fide students can't openly come out and accuse her lecturer of sexual abuse or harassment. If she does, then her dreams of graduating is over. Lecturers form a kind of fraternity. The lady would be victimise not only by the erring lecturer, but also by his colleagues. You think it is only Boniface that patronizes the "Cold Room"? |
asanwafo:Was it BBnaija that is responsible for Nigeria being one of the top ten viewers of porn in the world? Was it BBnaija that is responsible for Nigeria being among the most corrupt countries in the world? Was it BBnaija that made Nigeria one of the most sex trafficking countries in the world? Was it BBnaija that made Nigeria one of the countries with the most drug trafficking countries in the world? Morality indeed. |
As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!)Trump talks like a person with mental disorder. Which great and unmatched wisdom? Erdoghan will almost chock of laughter. A day after Trump's threats, Erdoghan launched an attack into northern Syria to obliterate the kurdish (US ally). Nothing Trump can do. Trump knows how to blow hot, when it comes to action he goes cold. That's was how he threatened Kim Jong Un with fire and fury, meanwhile Kim Jong un has been firing rockets like Christmas rockets, and Trump has not made pim. |
udemzyudex:But his withdrawal from Syria would actually aid the return of ISIS. The peshmerga forces who help defeat ISIS are holding tens of thousands of ISIS fighters as prisoners. They will be forced to release them in order to fight the Turks. Once the ISIS fighters regroup, ISIS will start growing stronger again. |

. These are the kinds of things that the Obamas have sold to the people like GalacticHorde while buying multi million dollar mansions by the seaside.
