felixomor:Sorry to educate you, but the universe is not defined as time, space and matter. The universe is everything that exists. Put in another way, the universe is simply energy; time, space and matter are simply manifestations of this energy. This energy does not have a beginning. |
felixomor:Just substitute the term God for Universe and you have your answer. The Universe does not have to come from anything, the universe is. The universe itself is not subject to time, space and matter. Time is a very fluid and relative term, it depends on the relative velocity of the observer in relation to the to velocity reference frame the measurement is carried out. The universe itself has no time. Same with space, measurement of the distance between 2 points in space also depends on the velocity of the the points are moving in relation to the observer. That is why at the big bang or in a singularity, there is no space, no time and no matter. |
Sheenor:The ignorance displayed by some of you theist is amazing. You said dolphins do not talk? Do you not have google on your phone or computer? Or you do not have any national geographic channel on your cable. Saying dolphins cannot talk is like saying Chinese people cannot talk because you do not understand their language. If animals are not smart because they do not have a driving license, then over 70% of human population is dumb because they don't know how to drive. Have you never heard of dolphins saving sailors who fall overboard or protect people from shark attacks? You really need to use that redundant brain of yours by filling it up with some knowledge. |
They hypocrisy in the whole episode is that the same people hailing the re-arrest of Kemi Olunloyo after being granted bail by the courts were the same people that condemned the re-arrest of Dasuki and Kanu after being granted bail. |
realjoker:Na so I see am o! Igbo people want force referendum on Urhobo, Itsekiri, isoko and Ijaw people. I have never see or heard anything like that before, I thought it is the people themselves that will demand for referendum and not other people fighting on their behalf. I am yet to hear an Urhobo, Itsekiri, isoko or an Ijaw man talk about a referendum, not to talk of demanding for one. |
luvmijeje:Yes, Islam is based on faith that believers have experienced, Hinduism is based on faith that its believers have experienced, even voodooism is based on faith that its believers have experienced. So what points are you making? Excuse me? What thorough analysis? Have they discovered how the universe came to be? Have they discovered how the first man came into existence.....oh the Darwin evolution of man!If you know the hard work great scientists like Kepler, Galileo, Hubble, Hailey and lots of others put into making us understand our universe, you will not be ignorantly shouting " which thorough analysis"? There is nothing like the first man according to evolution, but then it will be impossible explaining evolutionary theory to someone with your level of scientific knowledge. Don't let's divert. Answer the OP's question. If you're not ready to answer my questions, don't bother quoting me. I don't deal with textbook. I deal with a man who's convicted of what he read in a textbook as I am about the Bible. If you are not science blind, you would have seen that many kind nairalanders have already answered the OP's questions. I even attached a photo explaining the process of planetary formation, which is responsible for the motion of the planets. |
coolestchris:First atheists do not make you believe anything, secondly it depends on what you refer to as spiritual forces. Some atheist believe in spiritual forces such as Chi, Chakras, karma, ying-yang, etc, but do not believe in the existence of any God. You still have not explained to me what makes atheism very bad. |
coolestchris:Can you elaborate why atheism is very bad. |
I am tired of reading headlines like Nigerians being beaten in Goa, Nigerian Beaten in India, Nigerians Killed in South Africa, Nigerian murdered in Dubai, Nigerians deported from from Libya, etc. Na only Nigeria waka come? If you are not wanted in foreign lands, come home! We Ghana Must Go in the 80s, the Ghanians did not wail, they packed their loads in Ghana Must Go and went home. If you are not welcome abroad go home and work to develop it, once it gets better you too can drive the foreigners out. Nigeria is not the worst country in the world, there are countries like Bangladesh, Haiti, South sudan, Somalia, etc, that are way worse off, we do not hear of them constituting nuisance in foreign lands, or stories of them being attacked. |
luvmijeje:There is nothing good for the gander or goose, Christianity is not up for analysis, it is accepted on faith. Science on the other hand is mostly accepted after thorough analysis of available data and passed though a rigorous peer review mechanism. Please grab a book on geography to learn about planetary formation, but if are handicapped in science, then stop arguing on scientific issues and concentrate on issues of faith. Below is an example of planetary formation showing the accretion disc from which planets are formed and their relative motion.
|
Apart from gravity, the initial rotational force of the accretion disc of gas cloud from which the sun and its planets were formed has kept the planets rotating around the sun. |
gbegemaster:Job and Isaiah were not ahead of any time, they were literally describing what they saw from their vantage points. You physically see a " circle upon the face of the waters" if you are in the middle of the see and you see " the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers" is you are located in a Hugh mountain looking down at a city or town. Isaiah was talking about foundations of the earth, abeg where this foundation dey. |
TippyTop:The authenticity of the statement of results was never never before the courts, what was pleaded was that Buhari did not present his certificate or he did not have a certificate. I suspect Buhari hired 30 sans to defend him because there might be some technicalities that could have been enough grounds for disqualification, for example the name he was admitted to Katsina Provincial College was Muhamad Buhari, while the name he filed at INEC was Muhammadu Buhari ( he did not attach a change of name affidavit). Also I suspect he did not meet the deadlines to submit the same statement of result to INEC. If it was suspected that the statement of result was fake, PDP would have jumped on it to get Bubu disqualified and prosecute all those involved with the forgery. |
TippyTop:I have seen Buhari's statement of results ( which is as good as a certificate) Bubu became president with lots of certificate, including a diploma from American War College. Now, Dino also presented a statement of results from ABU and not a certificate, the problem is people are doubting the authenticity of the statement of results, and that is why ABU has been invited to confirm the statement of results. If the V.C comes to the senate to confirm that the statement of result is authentic, that is the end of the matter. If you have been living under a rock and have not seen Bubu's statement of result, then I attach it below.

habey1984:Is that a subtle threat? What will happen if you talk against a man of God? |
LordCenturion:Religion has rendered my people senseless. Nobody is asking the puzzling questions; 1. Who conducted the first interview with the woman denying her daughter! 2. Who sponsored her from her abode in sapele all the way to auchi to attend pastor Suleiman's church early in the morning? How did they know her contact details to invite her to the church? How did she find her way to the church? What is the essence of the whole Stephanie mother's involvement, since the matter is already in court. Was it not better to invite the mother to court as prosecution witness to testify against her daughter? The whole thing looks like the mother is being heavily threatened or Stephanie herself had been threatened if the mother does not cooperate. You know a mother will go to any length to save her daughter. |
henryhemon:It seems Christians do more than worship pastors, they deify pastors. Their pastors can make them deny their children, their parents and even their own selves. No wonder Muslim leaders can tell their followers to commit suicide and they will gladly oblige. I am sure most of pastors Suleiman's followers are ready to kill anyone if the pastor orders it. In Nigeria pastors and imams are above the law. |
The "Stephanie's mother begs apostle Suleiman" story now makes sense. It was very strange a mother would throw her daughter under the bus the way she did in the video. It is now obvious, the mother did the interview under threats or fear of her life. The question people should ask is who did the interview and why? It is strange that at the same time apostle Suleiman has been quite active on social media with romantic pictures with his wife. |
I do not understand this statement, please explained further; Geography Department was under the Faculty of arts and Social Sciences offering the degree of B.A (Honours) and B.Sc (Honours) in geography respectively. Are you insinuating that ABU gives B.A and B.Sc for the same course - geography? Or that two different faculties give different bachelor's degree for geography? How does it work? |
Akainzo:During my days you get admission into the university with only your statement of result and testimonial, I never submitted my WAEC certificate to my university, in fact it was after I graduated that I went to my school and applied for my WAEC certificate. |
Akainzo:From the same link, it says Dr. B. A. Sawa graduated from ABU in 1986 with a B.sc in geography. So what's going on at ABU? was the department of geography moved from the sciences to the arts faculty in 1987? ABU alumni need to educate us. |
Olumaeme:Are you insinuating that the department of geography was moved from faculty of science to faculty of arts at ABU? Can you tell us when this was done? |
daneni1:I tire o my broda. The kind of mundane issues that attract the attention of Nigerian politicians and Nigerians in general is amazing. Reno is not interested in the weakening naira and the economy, he is not interested in the worsening state of power ( I have not had light both at the office and home for 1 week), he is even not interested that four month into the year, the budget is yet to be passed, But he is obsessed with whether Stephanie Otobo is a prostitute or whether she slept with apostle Suleiman. |
ehissi:It is strange the mother threw her daughter under the bus without even hearing directly from her. Even the mother of a terrorist would not come to the public and condemn her daughter/son the way this woman has done. |
Some people should not be allowed to have children. See what a mother wrote concerning the child she carried in her womb for 9 months; Mother of Stephanie Otobo, the alleged girlfriend of Apostle Johnson Suleman of the Omega Fire Ministries, has said she has not seen her daughter in the last three years, noting that her daughter ”is not normal .”So she is proud to say that she had not seen her daughter for the past 3 years. what about phone, has she also not spoken to her daughter for the past 3 years? So she is telling us that she has no form of relationship whatever with her daughter. She then to say her daughter is not normal, how did she know that? If the the daughter is not normal, then it must run in the family, meaning she is not normal also. She expressed willingness to, “see the revered cleric to apologize if given access to him.”She expressed willingness to see apostle Suleiman, but she is not expressing willingness to she her daughter. She did not even express willingness to see her when she was in police cell for over one week. I pray my enemy does not get this kind of mother. |
policy12:OP, you owe us an explanation of how you check your name on ABU alumni site so that others can also check and verify what you are saying. What is the site address? |
jumpandpas:Wrong analogy. You demanded for Buhari's certificate and buhari explained that he lost his certificate, but went to his alma mata to obtain a statement of result endorsed by the katsina state government. The statement of result is a legal document and is as good as the original certificate. Now, if Dino has also lost his certificate, he should say so and go to ABU to collect a certified true copy. A simple official statement from the university will put the matter to rest. |
Maximus85:Black Africans didn't know what decency was before the coming of the white man I suspect you have a chronic case of inferiority complex. |
Maximus85:Are you insinuating that your fore fathers were animals before the coming of the white man? Even the white men that brought us clothes and bra that our women should cover themselves with are not as obsessed as some of us with being completely covered up. Go to Us or Europe in summer time, you will see Oyinbo girls walking around skimpily dressed, and no body gives a Bleep. A pervert will always be a pervert whether women dress in full Hijab or not. When African teenage girls were walking around topless, there were almost no incidence of rape or indecency. Nigerians are so obsessed with forcing others to follow their religious, moral and even dress code, while forgetting the criminal code. |
Of course religion is affecting our productivity and development in Nigeria. When our productive youth spend half of their waking hours in churches, Mosques and shrines praying for breakthroughs and miracles, how can we develop as a people. You will see university students spend more time praying than in research related activities and you thing we can acquire the skills necessary for development. |
The question is was the breast ever a private part in this part of the world before the coming of the white man? The whole village saw the breast of your great grand mother before she was initiated into womanhood.

ITbomb:You forgot to add that Bigbrothernaija has made Oga Seun more millions. The main Bigbrothernaija thread is over 1300 pages long with well over 1 million views and that is not even considering the dozens of big brother naija related topics posted each day. While the OP and other religious moralists are lamenting, Oga Seun and hundreds of bloggers are smiling to the bank. |
