The main purpose is the same as telemundo soaps, kardashians, Game of throne, star wars, African magic, premiership football, and so on - ENTERTAINMENT. I wonder why Nigerian hypothetical moralists are behaving as if they are being forced to watch the program. The very fact that they are aware of what happens in the house mean they are religiously watching the show. If the show does not appeal to you, there are tens if not thousands of other channels to switch to. I for one do not see the aim and purpose of dove TV or Emmanuel TV, you would not see me whining about the stations. |
eyinjuege:If it is proven that he slept with her or had an affair with her, then it will be difficult proving blackmail. If it can be proved that he had been sending her money before without blackmail, it will be difficult proving blackmail proving blackmail now because she is demanding money. This case sounds like love gone sour between two teenagers who are hell bent on destroying each other. |
Child abuse or should i say children abuse. I will not be surprised is a see " Little Children Rally In Support of Apostle Suleiman" with children carrying placards of the Pastor and Stephanie Otobo |
Malik Obama, 59, is Barack Obama's older half-brother. The two men share the same father, Barack Hussein Obama Sr., but have different mothers. Malik's mother was Obama Sr.'s first wife, Kezia. Malik has dual U.S.-Kenyan citizenship and currently resides in Alexandria, VA.Malik Obama is a green card holder and not a US passport holding citizen, so he was not eligible to vote in the presidential elections. |
mexxmoney:Trump cannot hold stand up to Obama in terms of intelligent. Obama is light years away from trump. Trump talks a pastor or motivational speaker, he only appeals to emotions - Fear and anger to curry support from his base, which are mainly white male nationalistic supremacists. Meanwhile, Obama is calm, cool and intelligent. Even today, Trump cannot stand Obama is a one on one debate. |
eightsin:You obviously have little experience with women. The " I will leave my wife or girl friend for you" line is a fairly common line guys use to lay girls and even the most intelligent ones falls for it. It is like members of religious organization or cult, they become "fools" to their leaders. Women are fools when "love" is involved. She obviously decided to blackmail the pastor after she realized she had been fooled, but why it is paining you so much is what I fail to understand. You have no pity for blackmailers, but you have admiration for pastors who put themselves in a position to be blackmailed. I still still do not get it. |
eightsin:Your God is Apostle Suleiman and his fellow Daddy G.Os who their sheep see as infallible. Yes she is obviously blackmailing him, but she is blackmailing him because he is blackmailable. If he promised to marry her and reneged, that is their business. She has the prerogative to take whatever action she deem fit. If she succeeds good for her. If he had sex with her, he alone should bear the consequences of any backlash, what gets me annoyed is Pastor Suleiman's sheep demonizing the lady while excusing or justifying the pastor. You are talking as if she held a gun to your God's (Suleiman) head and forced him to have sex with her. Mind you, I am not supporting anyone. The story might be true, it might be false. It might even be somewhere in between, but it is annoying, the way you people are ready to take a bullet for pastor Suleiman. |
lailo:Do not mind all these so call christians who have elevated pastors to their God. There are ready to drink poison or strap a bomb to their chests and detonate because of their pastor (And they blame Muslims terrorists for carrying our suicide bombings on the orders of their Imams). They think Festus Keyamo will go to court without having all these evidence you listed and much more. I am almost sure that the matter will be settled out of court eventually with Ms Otobo and Keyamo smiling to their banks. |
Pierohandsome:And Apostle Suleiman is not another person's present Husband? So which woman will remain married to this man if the lady's accusations is true. Some people's hypocrisy stinks to high heaven. |
eightsin:And you and your God (Apostle Suleiman) is what? Women have been known not just to petition those that promise and failed a marriage proposal but actually murder them. |
emeijeh:Shame on you instead, who decides to elevate a mere mortal to the status of a God. |
Expl0rers:You mean you guys would sneak up on a sleeping girl in the dead of the night and stick your fingers up her private part to be sure whether the girl is into you or not. If the girl the declines it then shows the girl is not into you. You guys are very lucky to be getting away with such abuse. |
ndidibabe:That should be the question, and not trying to insinuate Kenen has the justification to finger Tboss because she did not complain. |
mctowel01:Are you deaf ( or blind as the case may be). Many people here has been screaming the word CONSENT. If Kenem had sex with TBoss with her consent, Big brother cannot do anything to Kenem. |
ndidibabe: mctowel01:If it can be proven than kenen penetrated TBoss's vagina with his fingers at anytime during the episode, that is RAPE. |
mctowel01:Flirting with a married man is morally wrong ( in most societies) not legally wrong, but rape is both morally and legally wrong is all societies. |
Built2last:You people are so perverted. That you sleep on the same bed with a female is not a license to rape her. If you lack self control over your sexual urges then avoid going near women. Immediate reportage of rape is not a condition for proving rape. The proof is establishing that there was actual penetration without the consent of the other party. Mind you sleeping with a child is considered rape, even if the child consented and did not report. A child cannot consent to anything. |
pressplay411:You obviously do not have an idea what the definition of rape is. Any sort of Penetration without consent into another persons genitals or even anus is considered rape. If it can be proven that kenem fingered Tboss without her consent, that is rape. |
That is what I am saying, Kanem would be in a much bigger trouble if Tboss or her family decides to sue for rape. He might spend a long time in south African jail. |
DozieInc:Tboss claimed not to be aware of Kanem fingering he while she was asleep The video also seem to support Tboss. Kanem can be charged with rape. |
kingzizzy:Arguing with you guys is like arguing with a pre recorded radio program, you repeat the same illogical argument again and again without listening to reason. I presented a link to decree 34 of 1966, please take time to read and comprehend it. The decree removed all powers from the regions - political, legislative, executive, economic, etc and vested everything in the National Military Government headed by Genera Ironsi. for the purpose of administration each group of provinces shall subject to the authority of the Head of the National Military Government, be under the general direction and control of a Military Governor appointed by the Head of the National Military Government; How was resource control preserved when military governors of the new provinces ate under the control and direction of the national military government. How can there the resource control when the regional civil services have been collapsed into a single national civil service As from the appointed day all offices in the service of the Republic in a civil capacity shall be offices in a single service to be known as the National Public Service; and accordingly all persons who immediately before that day are members of the public service of the Federation or of the public service of a Region shall on that day become members of the National Public Service:Who abolished decree 34 and when? Please provide links or references. The Aburi accord was an agreement between Gowon and Ojukwu that was never implemented. Maybe you guys do not understand what regionalism means. It is a form of government in which each region of a federation or Confederation controls its own government by having its executive and legislative arms. The federation is held together by common currency, international relations, tax laws and single military. |
gartamanta:You are just arguing blindly and senselessly. You are like a religious fundamentalist who is ready to die defending a false belief. Ironsi destroyed our regional system with decree 34. He is the actual person that created one Nigeria, before Ironsi we had 4 in one Nigeria. Each region controlled its own resources and Government. Ironsi was an opportunist who saw the January coup as an opportunity to abrogate power to himself. If he did not promulgate decree 34 destroying the regions, Gowon would never have been able to use the same degree to change the federation from 4 provinces to 12 states. If Ironsi was not so power hungry, he would have simply prosecuted all involved in the Botched January coup, irrespective of tribe, Punished all those found guilty and handed over power back to the civilians, including the regions. All these could have been achieved within 6 months. If he had done these, he would have become a legend in Nigeria and the whole of Africa. |
ozimec:Wrong interpretation to suit the greed and avarice of new generation pastorprenuers. The keywords here is store house and food. It has nothing to do with salaries, wages and school allowances. The key to having abundance in riches is acquisition of valuable knowledge and skills and the hard work. No other country outside Nigeria believes the secret to success is praying, tithes and offerings and fasting, this is the thinking of mentally and physically lazy people. |
adeadeyera:Tell that to Nigerian Pentecostal pastors whose only message and path to salvation is tithes, offerings, and givings. Tithing will cause God to open the windows of heaven upon you. If you choose to pay, you're then ready to have God's abundance. Then how do you explain so many people who have abundance of riches and other material things without having paid a dime of tithes in their life, and then you have millions of tithe paying Christians living in abject poverty. Now, think of this for a while. The same God causes the rain to fall on believers and sinners. Abi? Your normal life continues. Just that you can't have the privileges that Tithers enjoy from God. Period!can you please list the privileges tithers enjoy that is not enjoyed by non-tithers. At least you can tell us what you are enjoying that others non tithers like me do not enjoy. Again, if you pay, heaven opens up for you. If you don't, it closes. That simple. The bulk rests absolutely with you.[/quote] |
gartamanta:You are wrong on all levels. Even though you rely on semantics to absolve Ironsi of destroying Nigeria's regional structure, you are still wrong semantically. Ironsi met 4 semi autonomous regions , he left 4 unitary provinces . Gowon met 4 unitary provinces and left 12 unitary states . So who destroyed our semi autonomous regions? |
gartamanta:What do you mean by decree 34 only centralized government, it did not abolish the regions? The statement is a paradox. It is either power is centralized at the centre or devolved to the regions, it cannot be both ways. Decree 34 converted the regions to States under a centralized government. That was why Gowon was able to divide the states further to 12. Are you saying that decree 34 allowed the States to run their own regional governments with premiers and houses of assembly? Whether you attempt to revise history or not, General Ironsi abolished regional governments in Nigeria. I doubt you read the original copy of the decree, else you will not be arguing. For your enlightenment, here is the original copy of decree 34 of 1966; THE FEDERAL MILITARY GOVERNMENT hereby decrees as follows: |
judian:You learnt about hell from personal experience ? It seems fear is the main factor that ties you and many other Christians to Christianity, many people including I can't operate that way. They just can't live in fear - fear of hell , fear of God, fear of devil, fear of demons, etc. It seem Christians live in a perpetual state of fear ( even though they ironically interprets it as love) |

luvmijeje:That is the mistake most people make about creating a job ( being a successful business person). The most important thing is not necessarily money). The most important thing first of all is ideas and innovation, second is ability to convert the ideas and innovation into profitable ventures and finally leverage. Leverage can be in the form of attracting capital. Most successful business people had zero or little personal capital. Bill Gates started from his parents garage, and was turned down by many corporate giants including IBM. Richard branson started from zero. Even Dangote said he started with the N500,000 he inherited from his grandfather. Tony Elumelu, Jimoh Brahimo, MKO and lots of others started from very poor background. Seun will tell you how he started from zero without any capital. 2nd Advice : Stop believing that others forces are aiming to get you. okayyy ooo.... . He has stopped believing in outside forces but is that the solution to get a job? An organization without empathy. What are you saying? Are you insinuating that getting a job requires that you must believe in outside forces? That means countries with predominantly atheist population must be jobless. Are all members of your church employed? I am yet to see the connection between being employed and believing in outside forces. 3rd Advice : Read 7 habits of highly effective people and learn to put your time and mind to productive use. He doesn't have anything doing than insulting God, so how is he going to manage his time. A non organization without solution. How much time does he spend insulting God in comparison to how much time you waste in praising God. I am sure he utilizes his time far more efficiently that you, the proof is that she was able to graduate with a 2,1. Which organization are you yapping about that she told you she belongs to? Before we can examine whether they have empathy or not. I will keep quiet since you don't want solution from a Christian.Obviously you have no solution, else you will give it to millions of Christians who spend countless hours in churches doing night vigils, special anointing services, etc, week in week out, year in year out, with no solution to their problems |
It seems the OP is suffering from depression. I believe most young people (18 - 25 yrs) suffer from one form of depression or the other as they discover themselves and their place in society. The difference is in the severity of the depression. Some are mild and are hardly noticeable, while others are chronic and sometimes suicidal. It is this depression that makes youths susceptible to religious and cult fanatism, others show symptoms in rebellious and antisocial behaviours. Family support is crucial in helping youth cope with this depression phase. Being busy pursuing other goals like education, career or other passion can help mitigate the effect of depression. The worst enemy of depression is being idle with no goals or ambition. |
lifeispeace:You said you became an atheist because of many contradictions in the bible and because of other peoples ideologies, this means you became an atheist for the wrong reasons. The Bible is not the only book about God(s), there are tens of others. Atheism is not an ideology, it is simply a lack of belief in God (s). Different atheists subscribe to different ideologies ( moral, political, social, economic, political or even religious). Atheism does not promise you anything, atheists pass through all the failures and disappointments others pass through including religious people. Atheism does not promise you a job and definitely does not promise you success or luck in your endeavours, what being an atheist means is that you rely on your efforts, innovations and self beliefs for success, no skydaddy, no guardian angel, no ghosts. If you feel you need external spiritual help to succeed in life, you better convert to religions that offer that. The fact that you recently graduated with 2nd class upper means you are young and intelligent ( that is if you got the 2,1 on merit), so use your brains and energy to create value and you will succeed. I did not find work for up to 5 years after graduation, so I created my own job. Seun the owner of this site did not walk the streets with his CV and tie to match looking for job, he used his intelligence and energy to create his own job. Ditto for sowore of Saharareporters and thousands of others. |
coputa:So according to your reasoning, closing down a N40 million zoo maintenance expenditure is the best way out of an economic recession. It shows you do not understand the meaning of economic recession. Instead of discussing real issues of policies or innovative ideas, you people are obsessed with Buhari. Even though Buhari's government has many fundamental flaws in terms of policies and direction, you make it impossible to discuss sensible issues, and we are pre occupied with discussing irrelevancies. Buhari did not build the zoo at aso rock, the Zoo was probably built at inception, so every Nigerian president and national assembly had probably been budgeting for the running of the zoo. I do not understand how this zoo could be a subject of discussion in 2007. If the zoo is closed because of your hatred for Buhari, what do you suggest should be done with the space for the zoo and animals. Should the animals be slaughtered? As I do not see anyone who would buy and maintain the animals ( in this recession as you say). What I thought Twitter senator and his acolytes should demand is a total inventory of the animals at the zoo and proper maintenance costs to see if it was padded. In the alternative they can give suggestion on what to do with the animals and the space allocated for the zoo, if they are convinced that closing the zoo is the way out of our recession. Let me add that the so animals wailers are complaining about is situated at the National Children's Park and Zoo located beside Aso Rock The National Children’s Park and Zoo |
