What are you doing now to help bring about true federalism and what plans do you have for the future to enthrone true federalism?
I am tired of talk and talk but no action.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan: "Amaechi Have Problem With Patience My Wife Not Me" by wirinet(m): 6:57am On Apr 28, 2017
This was bane of the war against Book Haram during Jonathan's regime;
There was a belief around President Jonathan that the whole Boko Haram crisis was orchestrated to undermine him and his administration and because of that, there was no interest in resolving the problem
He allowed the problem to fester until it consumed him.
Even if it was true that the Boko Haram crisis was orchestrated to undermine his administration, it still did not exonerate him of responsibility in dealing decisively with it as commander in chief of all the armed forces.
Not only Book Haram, Jonathan saw the fuel subsidy issue, ( an issue that has been a problem for decades), corruption allegations against key members of his cabinet and any opposition to his policies as attacks to undermine his government and hence his complacency on dealing with critical issues.

Nothing special here.

He lost and he conceded. What exactly is heroic about that?it is like saying you slept with a Scarlett lady unprotected, and then got infected with Stds, and then you start praising yourself that you went to the hospital to treat yourself.

There is nothing worth praising here. It is just the right thing to do.

It is just that those seeing Jonathan's concession as something big,are those born in the Choco-Milo generation and not aware of how democratic Institutions or societies work.

Never shall we ever allow a thief, married to a female thief, that will bring in their thieving kinsmen and militants, and surrounded by thousands of thieves at once (PDP) near Aso Rock again.

Never again.
Even though I never supported Jonathan both in 2011 and 2015, conceding defeat was heroic. It showed that he was not power hungry. If it was OBJ, IBB or some other power drunk person that was in the same scenario, they would prefer the country burn down than concede power.
If Jonathan had not conceded, we were possibly facing a civil war of Syrian proportions. Even today a section of the country is still bitter Jonathan lost and conceded to Buhari.
That selfless act of Jonathan is what made me forgive him for all the looting and rubbish under his administration.

ehissi:
Please be a little objective in the least. It is the tradition of the EFCC of late to give press conferences stating the looted amount, where it was found, when it was found and who owns or is linked to the cash.

No official press statement of the EFCC has been released on the actual owner till date. Only speculatory statements from anonymous sources backed up with picture. Oke could have been suspended for any and many reason.

Let EFCC at least maintain their transparency by stating it was Oke who hid the cash on the orders of Jonathan; them no gree. The have left that Job for people like you who will eagerly accept anything social media throws at them.

Come to think of it, speculatory reports in blogosphere are claiming Jonathan approved the release and diversion of such funds officially. Considering how much EFCC has worked so hard to implicate Jonathan, one would have thought they would have happily dished out a press conference to implicate the more, instead of secretly misleading Nigerians via social media.

When the loot was first discovered, EFCC handle claimed the money belonged to an unnamed Abuja politician, what happened to that story and why did they refuse ti name the politician to date?

Only God knows......
And all these is proof that the money or the flat the money was found in belongs to Amaechi?

So all senator sekibo has connecting Amaechi to the loot is a whistle. Well he better send the whistle to the presidential committee investigating the money or better still the senate committee investigating the matter if he does not trust the Osinbajo committee. He can also present the whistle to Wike as evidence in his much anticipated suit against the FG as regard ownership of the loot, the deadline given the FG has elapsed.
Considering the intellectual quality of our law makers, people need not wonder why we have useless and stupid laws. Up till now, the budget has not been passed.
PoliticsRe: Muazu: The People Voted Jonathan Out, I Didn't Betrayed Him by wirinet(m): 11:50pm On Apr 27, 2017
It is very disappointing for Jonathan to make this statement;
I felt really betrayed by the result from some northern states. Perhaps for ethnic purposes , even security agents colluded with the opposition to come up with spurious results against me.
It shows he was not qualified to be president in the first place. There was no ethnic purposes when he won both in the north and the south west in 2011 against two influential Fulani men ( Buhari and Ribadu). There were no ethnic purposes when the whole of the south west supported his being installed as acting president and subsequently president after the demise of Yaradua. It was after losing the elections because of his abysmal performance ( only people from the east and his base believed he performed wonderfully), that he remembered ethnic purposes.

Yes, I read the part about minorities having to "beg" the majorities before they can rule the country or a state. This is because democracy is a game of numbers and minorities just don't have the numbers. OBJ is from minority Ogun west, he is stating the fact that someone from Ogun west cannot become governor without "begging" the majority Ogun east. This same serenio is what happens in all states of the federation including eastern states. In rivers the majority Ikwerre people have always won the governorship elections, the minority Ijaw can never become governor without having to "beg" the Ikwerre people.
PoliticsRe: Biafra: Fayose To Raise Support Fund For Kanu by wirinet(m): 2:49pm On Apr 27, 2017
Fayose is playing the political chess game. He is eyeing a Federal Office in 2019 (president or vice president)and is calculating that the Igbos do not particularly support any politician right now, so he wants to use Kanu to prop his appeal among Igbos. Just as Jonathan did by changing his name to Ebele Azikiwe, Fayose might even adopt Odumegwu as a middle name to appeal to the igbos.

If Fayose can get GEJ supporters, he will hope to split Yoruba votes. The Battle ground would then shift to the middle belt. He Knows he cannot get any support in the north east and north west, except he runs with a strong northern presidential candidate.

It is all a Game of Thrones

You are an a**hol, with a criminal mind. Calculate how much was available for OBJ to loot and compare it to how much was available for GEJ to loot, we can then know who the greatest looter really is.

Let me give you a hint since you might not have a brain for quantitative mathematics; multiply the price of crude with the total production from 1999 to 2007, then calculate the price of crude and total production from 2010 to 2015. Subtract the difference between the two. From the calculations you will know who holds the title of the greatest looter in history.

How can you call OBJ chief looter? That title should go to your hero GEJ. Compare how much was earned during OBJ's regime (1999 - 2007) and how much we earned during GEJ's regime (2010 - 2015) and you will realize that you hero wins the title hands down. Remember OBJ paid $16 billion cash to the Paris club to cancel our debts, hosted Commonwealth games including building a new stadium and left a reserve and excess crude account of close to $60 billion. Now, tell me what your hero did with much more money he earned. He spent over half of the savings left by OBJ and went on a borrowing spree.

The National Assembly result reflected that about 800,000 people voted but that of the presidential reflected a vote of about 1.8 million. Because they believe Nigeria might not survive another term of GEJ. The allegation that I didn’t care was false. Immediately I was alerted, I called the military and security chiefs for a briefing after tasking them to get to the root of the matter. Information was initially hazy and there were things that did not add up”

“More than 200 girls were repeatedly abducted from different hostels and then put on an open trailer that had no railings. In the same trailer, according to reports , Boko Haram fighters loaded foodstuff. The girls were said to have been abducted by people claiming to be soldiers. The military people were on ground and I relied on the information I could get from them. Of course I cared and charged them to find the girls but every effort we took was twisted against me to score cheap political points.”
In other words, you did not believe the girls were abducted, that was why you went for a party in Kano same day after hearing of the abductions and it took you three weeks before you finally acted on the reports. I want to ask, do you now believe over 200 girls were abducted or it was a hoax to tarnish your government?
Your handling of the chibok girls is a main contributor to your election loss.

“You know Stella Oduah played a prominent role in my campaign in 2011. But when the investigation I ordered was carried out and the indictment was confirmed, I had to relieve her of her position,” he added
You mean your investigation indicted Stella Oduah for stealing our money and all you did was relieve her of her position. Why did you not send the reports to the EFCC for prosecution? And you would say you fought corruption in your own way. What about Abba Moro that scammed and kill numerous Nigerian youths searching for job? You did not even relieve him of his position not to talk of prosecuting him. Diezani Alison's own was another matter entirely, you did not even constitute a panel to investigate her dispite all the numerous allegations against her and indictments by the house and the senate.

Stop lying to yourself saying you don't want anymore corruption. If you truly believed that you wouldn't be defending the indefensible.
Discussing with some of your guys is a like a stressful chore, you guys are so ignorant but claim to be enlightened.
Do you even know what a memo (memorandum) is? Do you know how and when it should be used. Why will a director of one organization communicate with the director of another organization through a memo? Please explain how a memo can move from the office complex of the NIA to the office of the NSA. Are you telling us that the NIA director communicates officially with the NSA through memos?
If you have worked in an organization before, you will know that memos are usually a reminder or for a action to be taken, memos are not for information purposes. If you write a memo informing someone you have $42 million, then what's next? What action do you want taken?

The NIA director has $42 million with him for the last two years and the only evidence of it is a purported memo written to the NSA Informing him he has the money, does that make sense?

At least one of d two unis that have one in Nigeria is a Christian university(Covenant university)
Which type of lab does covenant university have? A start up (computer) lab or science lab and workshop? Even though I will even commend the university if they have fully functional computer labs with the latest hardware and software technologies, the problem is the university will still choke the students with religious activities. Creating new innovative ideas and products takes months if not years of dedication including sleepless nights, Nigerian students do not have that level of time and dedication.
Now a science lab is another ball game, you require much more dedication to make a scientific breakthrough. Thomas Edison tried over 2000 times before he was able to invent the light bulb. Shuji Nakamura spent close to 10 years before he could invent blue LED, making possible the creation of white LED that is used today in TVs and large screen displays apart from LED light bulbs. Can covenant university have the time for actual research when religious duties take up most of their free time?

I'm all for the establishment of IT labs...but the one I find more important are workshops equipped with modern equipments and tools....think about CNC machines...lathes...drill press....TIG welding machine...where they can work with carbonfibre, plastics, metals...the works.
Where students can fabricate tangibles...appliances...electric cars...even if na go-karts....bicycles...all these low tech things we still spend dollars to import...if they must copy, let them. After all that's how China started..Workshops where reverse engineering can be easily done.
I think mech engineers are equally as important as IT scientists
This should be the ideal situation but our educational system was not formulated to make us self sufficient ( individually or collectively), our educational system was formulated to make us serve the colonial government ( which layer metamorphosized to the federal government) for the exploitation of out natural resources. So the educational system trains us only to read and write good English and to become good low and mid level administrators ( clerks). Our educational system cannot produce practical engineers and scientists. This is why the aspiration of a mechanical or electrical engineering graduate is to world in a bank or an oil company as administrative staff.
EducationRe: Eight (8) Reasons Every University Should Have A Startup Lab by wirinet(m): 10:27am On Apr 25, 2017
Start up labs in Nigerian universities? Nigerian universities build more churches, worship centres, fellowship grounds these days than anything to do with research and science.
Who will use the labs when Nigerian students are encouraged to use all available free time on religious activities - fellowships, night vigils, bible study classes, special services, Evangelisms, etc.
Nigerian educational priority nowadays is more about faith building that science and development. Earth day went bye two days ago, with students all over the world marking it and emphasizing the importance of science to world and human development, but nigerian students were not even aware or interested. If it was world faith day, you will see them be at the forefront.

Can advocates of secession, especially IPOB tell me which of the problem besetting Nigeria now that is not found in every strata of their local political or social life? Is it corruption? Is it exploitation and oppression of minorities or the weak? Is it nepotism, "clanism", rigging of elections, etc. Go to market associations in the east, these problem are there, go to the universities, the student elections are mostly rigged and the student unions are highly corrupt, even socio political associations like MASSOB are accused of corruption. APGA the Igbo dominated party is mired in corruption allegations and legal quagmire. Even IPOB is not corruption free, try asking Kanu to account for donations he had received over the years. I am certain he would not be able to give account on how the monies was spent. IPOB has escaped scrutiny because they do not have proper structure in place, all people know is a radio host director broadcasting his propaganda. No office or officials to hold accountable.
The problem of Nigeria goes beyond breaking it up.
PoliticsRe: For Or Against Nigeria's Possible Division? by wirinet(m): 12:37am On Apr 24, 2017
I have said it again and again, I do not see how breaking up the country would solve any of the problems that beset Nigeria. In fact it will exasperate and maginify the problems. How many pieces do you want to break up the country; 2 pieces - north and south, 3 pieces according to the old regions, 36 pieces according to the present state structure, or over 259 pieces according to the estimated number of tribes in Nigeria. When you open the Pandora box of division, no one can predict where it will stop. If the old eastern region should secede as advocated by IPOB, the power struggle between the various tribes - especially the Igbo's and the Ijaws would tear the country apart. The Ijaws are my neighbour as an itsekiris man, so we understand each other well. The British saw pepper containing the Ijaws, just as Nigeria is having a hard time managing them now. The Ijaws are exteremly stobborn and easily take up arms.
The problem with Nigeria and black Africa in general is not necessarily about political structure, it has more to do with political, social and moral values. No black nation on earth is doing well, even south Africa that was bequeathed a modern thriving economy by the apartheid white south African is gradually being eroded by uninspiring black leader ship. Imagine post apartheid south Africa was handed over to the whites in 1994, I am sure South Africa would have been competing with Israel by now, instead they are saddled with a president with 4 wives, numerous concubines and a plethora of corruption allegations.
Yes, Nigeria has serious structural problems. The country is structured is such a way that there is a pecking order in the sharing and eating of the national cake - oil resources from the Niger delta. first is the Hausa Fulanis, second is the Yorubas, third is the Igbos, then all the other minority tribes. We see all the major tribes as parasites, they cannot run their states without oil resources from the nigerdelta.

I warned him they would use him to cover the former governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi and then mess him up, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode painfully narrated.
FFK is not making sense. Why would Mr. Oke tall the fall for Amaechi? Are they related? Are they even in the same party? Why would Mr. Oke - an intelligence boss be ready to lose his job and probably land in prison because of Amaechi.
If Mr. Oke told you he is ready to take the fall for Amaechi, he should also confided in him the reason why.
He knows the drill, that once he commits himself. That's all.We are in court soon. Wait and see what will happen. It is so easy for Nigerians to be fooled by their government. I have always known that. But for serious minded and well educated people to he fooled by this sort of cheap propaganda amazes me.
You mean to tell us that he commuted himself by buying the property in his wife's company's name in order to cover up for amaechi? Why not explain the whole thing us the not so well educated Nigerians as you are about the few educated Nigerian there are.

Ask yourself why a panel from the Villa is investigating this matter and not EFCC or DSS. Ask yourself why EFCC has not told you who owns the money. Ask yourself how much sense it makes for a security chief to keep $43 million USD in a flat with no security for two years.
[quote]It might not be appropriate for the Villa to be investigating a criminal matter against one of its officers, but that has been the tradition of all governments in Nigeria. You did not complain when GEJ constituted a Panel to investigate Stella Oduah's purchase of 2 BMWs for over N255 million.
How can you say Osborne Towers in Ikoyi has no security? Are you saying all those high profile people residing in the flats have no security?

[quote]Ask yourself all these questions. When you have the answers come back. When we get to court people like you will know why the Rivers State government, Ekiti state government, myself and others have said the money is Ameachi's. It is just a matter of time. Till then, I wil say no more on this.
Please give us a hint on how amaechi is connected to the money.

If it had been anyone else that owned that money every single person that has a flat in that building would have been in detention by now. Ask yourself why this is not the case. Now they are putting a spin on their cover up and bringing former President Goodluck Jonathan into it. It is shameful but I guess that is what Nigerians deserve. They are so gullible.

– Femi Fani Kayode
So you are saying because money was found in one flat, everybody that has a flat in the same building or is a tenant in the building should be locked up. What is their crime exactly? So everybody in a building should be locked up if one person in that building is suspected to have commuted a crime.
I doubt FFK is sober when he wrote the above.
