For the record and to educate similar ignoramuses out there. Waec is a requirement for Nigerian Universities, Not all universities abroad require waec. Many foreign universities will admit you if you have alternative qualifications. Universities in the Uk will even admit you if you have absolutely no qualifications but are above 21 and have some work experience. Finally Tinubu got a high school diploma or community college diploma i. The US which is the basis of his admission to CSU. The problem with you idiots is that you ascribe you yourselves intelligence you do not posses, in the process make big fools of yourselves. Fine he said some unknown people stole them - he might be saying the truth tho. We all know who Abacha was, the rest is history. Also, the college he claimed he went to - not on this post, confirmed it by placing his photo on the wall of fame as an outstanding alumni for the year 2002. These are facts that corroborated that he went to those schools and wasn't lying.

If you are working for Tinubu, please inform him that he will need to present these certificates to INEC before the elections. I am sure the Amaechi team will take the matter to court to force INEC to disqualify Tinubu on non qualification based on certificate and/or lying under oath. You know the electoral law allows interested parties to challenge the eligibility of any candidate.

So it will profit you guys to start writing the schools Tinubu claimed to have attended for certified true copies of his certificates instead of engaging in linguistic and rational gymnastics.

This applies when there are no controversy concerning the certificates. After all no one is bothering Atiku about certificates. But when there are controversy concerning all the certificates a person claimed to have obtained from the very beginning, then importance is placed on primary and secondary school certificates. It's is embarrassing that in 20 years Tinubu could not present primary and secondary school certificates and his tertiary certificates he claimed to have obtained is still mired in controversy.

Tinubu's certificate controversy did not start today. In fact it started the year he became governor. After he left government office someone tried to revive the certificate controversy, but was shut down by the Lagos High Court. Even though the murmurs about Tinubu's certificate down down, it did not completely ho away. Now that Tinubu has clinched the ticket of APC and on the cusp of becoming president, are you surprised that the certificate controversy are heating up again? If Tinubu has nothing to hide, why has he laid the controversy to rest for over 20 years. He still has between now and the elections proper to present the results and show people he is expecting their votes that he actually obtained the controversial certificates.

Comparing Tinubu's certificate controversy to Obama's birther controversy is disingenuous. Obama birther controversy was quickly shut down by Obama showing his birth certificate and hospital records showing he was actually born in the US. Even his main antagonist Donald Trump accepted and place the blame on Democrats. He said it was Democrats that first raises the issue, that he simply played along. Tinubu meanwhile has used every legal loophole to prevent people demanding and seeing the certificates.

Gbam. I pray someone revive Gani Fawehinmi's case. The Supreme Court threw out Gani's suit because of impunity. The Supreme Court threw out the case because Tinubu at that time had absolute immunity as a sitting governor.

After the immunity expired one Dr Dominic Adegbola revived the case, asking the court to compel the IG of Police to investigate Tinubu's qualifications. The Lagos State High Court dismissed the case with the stupid excuse that "an application must be filed before the court, within three months when the alleged fraudulent act was detected".

So you see the Zugzwang. When Tinubu was Governor, you cannot investigate his certificates because he has immunity. After he lost immunity, you cannot investigate his certificate because you have only 3 months to demand for an investigation after discovery of certificate fraud.

He could have gained admission with fake certificates, he could have bought someone’s certificate and changed his identity to reflect the one on the certificate , he could have bought the degree certificate. Before the computerisation of results and certificates, impostors and certificate fraud was very common.

The good thing here is that all the schools mentioned still exist both home and abroad, organizations where he worked both home and abroad also still exist and I doubt they would have engaged someone without the required qualification for the positions he occupied, so why not reach out and get confirmation if anyone is in doubt?

Why can't he just go to the schools and demand officially his testimonials and statement of result?

At least Buhari did the same when his WAEC certificate became a political issue. Even though he had a certificate from US War College and his name is actually in their school roster.

Alleged certificate forgery: Court dismisses suit against Tinubu

Lagos – A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Tuesday dismissed an application seeking to compel the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to investigate former Lagos State Gov., Chief Bola Tinubu, for alleged certificate forgery.

Justice Saliu Saidu dismissed the application, filed by one Dr Dominic Adegbola, seeking to reopen the suit initially instituted by late Chief Gani Fawehinmi in 1999.

Adegbola had sought for an order compelling the IGP to commence investigation into the alleged certificate forgery case.

Dismissing the application, the judge held that by Order 34, Rule 4 of the Federal High Court Civil Procedure Rules, the applicant failed to satisfy the mandatory requirements of the law.


He also held that such an application must be filed before the court, within three months when the alleged fraudulent act was detected.

Did he impersonate someone else? Did he use "Oluwole" certificates? Was he admitted without O/level certificate?

Remember Gani Fawehinmi took this certificate issue all the way to the supreme court while Tinubu was governor. The issue remained unresolved as the supreme court threw out the case based on technicalities.

Chicago state University does not give WAEC certificates.

Before the information technology age, lots of People gain admission to universities with fake results or other people's certificates. I know someone (someone very close to me) who is still working with a multinational company with the result of his brother.

All Nigerians are asking for is the WAEC result of Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu. Is that too much to ask?
