Where did you see me support Tinubu? I posted an article from another source and stated so clearly in bold letters at the end of the article.

His path crossed Babatunde Raji Fashola's while the latter was working in d chambers of his adopted 'Uncle' Kafaru. BRF , as a young turk in d Kafaru Tinubu and Co Chambers , was also perhaps d best friend and alter ego of Wale Tinubu. So he literally handed d governance of Lagos to d Kafaru Tinubus. How are we even sure that he was the Bola Tinubu that attended Chicago State University? Are there any photos of him in the university? Departmental photos, Faculty photos, matriculation photos, graduation photos, etc. What about lecturers or students? Are there lecturers and co-students of the same department that can attest to him?

The Chicago State University has debunked controversies surrounding the All-Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Bola Tinubu, declaring that the presidential aspirant did attend the university.

Beverly Poindexter, from the institution’s Office of the Registrar, responded to enquiries from Nigerian press, saying that “Mr Tinubu did attend our university, however, if further information is needed, go to studentclearinghouse.org website to make a formal request.”

In an earlier letter dated August 20, 1999 and signed by then Registrar, Lois Davis, the university stated that Tinubu was its student between 1977 and 1979.


He said, “Please be advised that Bola A. Tinubu did indeed attend Chicago State University from August 1977 through June 1979. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Administration with honours on June 22, 1979. His major was Accounting.”

Also attached to Tinubu’s form CF004 submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission during his re-election bid in 2003 was a commendation letter from CSU recognising *his performance and “high scholastic achievement”.*

So Tinubu had never submitted any certificate in any election. In the 1999 election he did not submit any certificate. In the 2003 elections he submitted a commendation letter from Chicago State University recognizing his high scholastic achievement. Now for the 2023 elections what does he plan to submit to INEC, the actual certificate or an affidavit?

He was very lucky. People were desperate to drive the military out of power and the Abdulsalami transition was hurriedly carried out. People did not have time to vet the candidates. That's how lots of criminals and thugs with no qualifications or fake qualifications got into political office without much scrutiny. Remember the first speaker got into office with forged certificate.

The point is that he used someone else WAEC result, and it's that individual that bear his current names. It is that result he used to gain admission into Chicago University.

He might also have used someone else's identity to enter the US. As he had practically no record in Nigeria - parents, siblings, family, classmates, childhood friends, neighbours, etc.

For the record and to educate similar ignoramuses out there. Waec is a requirement for Nigerian Universities, Not all universities abroad require waec. Many foreign universities will admit you if you have alternative qualifications. Universities in the Uk will even admit you if you have absolutely no qualifications but are above 21 and have some work experience. Finally Tinubu got a high school diploma or community college diploma i. The US which is the basis of his admission to CSU. Brother, it's not about paying someone in dollars. To be neutral on this, primary and secondary certificates are not really relevant here. The highest degree certificate is the most relevant one. Fine he said some unknown people stole them - he might be saying the truth tho. We all know who Abacha was, the rest is history. He claimed to have gone to Chicago State University but the school didn't deny that fact and even said he finished with them. Also, the college he claimed he went to - not on this post, confirmed it by placing his photo on the wall of fame as an outstanding alumni for the year 2002. If you are working for Tinubu, please inform him that he will need to present these certificates to INEC before the elections. I am sure the Amaechi team will take the matter to court to force INEC to disqualify Tinubu on non qualification based on certificate and/or lying under oath. You know the electoral law allows interested parties to challenge the eligibility of any candidate.

So it will profit you guys to start writing the schools Tinubu claimed to have attended for certified true copies of his certificates instead of engaging in linguistic and rational gymnastics.

This applies when there are no controversy concerning the certificates. After all no one is bothering Atiku about certificates. But when there are controversy concerning all the certificates a person claimed to have obtained from the very beginning, then importance is placed on primary and secondary school certificates. It's is embarrassing that in 20 years Tinubu could not present primary and secondary school certificates and his tertiary certificates he claimed to have obtained is still mired in controversy.

In this case, said suspicion is further boosted by the fact that most of those pushing the story (not you) are the same ones who are certain that Tinubu is a drug baron (without any evidence other than a doctored JPEG) and who insist Peter Obi is a saint, even after he was caught setting up offshore accounts while in his second term as a governor.

Tinubu's certificate controversy did not start today. In fact it started the year he became governor. After he left government office someone tried to revive the certificate controversy, but was shut down by the Lagos High Court. Even though the murmurs about Tinubu's certificate down down, it did not completely ho away. Now that Tinubu has clinched the ticket of APC and on the cusp of becoming president, are you surprised that the certificate controversy are heating up again? If Tinubu has nothing to hide, why has he laid the controversy to rest for over 20 years. He still has between now and the elections proper to present the results and show people he is expecting their votes that he actually obtained the controversial certificates.

Comparing Tinubu's certificate controversy to Obama's birther controversy is disingenuous. Obama birther controversy was quickly shut down by Obama showing his birth certificate and hospital records showing he was actually born in the US. Even his main antagonist Donald Trump accepted and place the blame on Democrats. He said it was Democrats that first raises the issue, that he simply played along. Tinubu meanwhile has used every legal loophole to prevent people demanding and seeing the certificates.

Gbam. I pray someone revive Gani Fawehinmi's case. The Supreme Court threw out Gani's suit because of impunity. The Supreme Court threw out the case because Tinubu at that time had absolute immunity as a sitting governor.

After the immunity expired one Dr Dominic Adegbola revived the case, asking the court to compel the IG of Police to investigate Tinubu's qualifications. The Lagos State High Court dismissed the case with the stupid excuse that "an application must be filed before the court, within three months when the alleged fraudulent act was detected".

So you see the Zugzwang. When Tinubu was Governor, you cannot investigate his certificates because he has immunity. After he lost immunity, you cannot investigate his certificate because you have only 3 months to demand for an investigation after discovery of certificate fraud.

He could have gained admission with fake certificates, he could have bought someone’s certificate and changed his identity to reflect the one on the certificate , he could have bought the degree certificate. Before the computerisation of results and certificates, impostors and certificate fraud was very common.
