I don't think there is any and if at all, it would be very scanty, probably built by non-indigenes.

At that period of development, Igbos, up until independence, were living in huts built with thatched leaves and you all we know they cant endure long for historical reference.

You think it's every Igbo man that hates Yoruba right?

No. But here on Nairaland, it's extremely rare to come across an Igbo who doesn't hate Awolowo. Y'all hate him so much that you teach your kids that he committed suicide via rat poison.

Smh. My original post was meant for sensible igbos, not useless and foolish ape-like chest thumping ediots and buffoons like you. You people are world-famous for having more brawn than brains, which is why in the end you all end up losers in spite of all your initial gra-gra. Na only una be non-indigenes wey dey Lagos? Abi na only una people dey buy land for Lagos wey you dey thump your useless chest like gorilla? Look, you can buy up as many plots of land as you wish in Lagos, but fact remains that your punk ass will still end up in igboland at the end of the day because the day you die your remains will be bundled back to your village for burial, so wetin you gain? And if you are lucky enough to have a c-of-o for that property you are bragging about, you will know that you are actually just a leasing tenant on that very land you are chestbeating about because it has an expiry date after which it will revert back to the state.

You people are just fortunate that Yoruba people are very liberal else your treatment would be worse than the one the ikwerres and ijaws dealth you lots after the civil war. Na your fellow simpletons you fit dey do gra-gra for, you ain't shyt to me. Olofo like you.

Politics / Re: Why I’ll Work For Adelabu In Oyo, By Akala by WisdomFlakes: 10:33pm On Mar 01, 2019
Unless Oyo is split up, the ibadan hegemony will continue unabated. That is why I don't blame Akala for seizing the opportunity to succeed Ladoja during his wahala with his godfather Adedibu. Without that problem there's no way a non-ibadan person would have smelled that governorship seat. Oyo state is too big in my opinion. The state needs to be broken up into 3 or more states for equity's sake. Akala is a seasoned politician that knows his politics. He has made the right call under the circumstance. He stands to gain more with APC than PDP.

Like I said in an earlier thread, smart igbos should take a cue from Dangote. He's smart and diplomatic enough to not mix his businesses with politics and it has served him very well up till today. Even if he will vote Atiku he won't make noise about it. Igbos are majorly traders and there's always life after elections. You can't expect to enjoy favourable policies from the same political party whose candidate you are overtly working hard to undermine after such party/candidate ends up winning without your votes. They should be wise.

Amosun is sick. He can spend billions to campaign for APM but could neglect Yewa/Ogun west axis for 8 solid years. That section of the state has the worst roads and infrastructures. That area must have the highest number of abandoned projects in the state.

Politics / Polls Postponement: CUPP Hails INEC, Blames APC, Security Agencies Over Action by WisdomFlakes: 11:44am On Feb 16, 2019
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/02/polls-postponement-cupp-hails-inec-blames-apc-security-agencies-over-action/

ABUJA- THE Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, has applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on its decision to postpone the 2019 General Elections.

This was even as it blamed the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and security agencies for the postponement. CUPP alleged that the APC showed desperation in winning when it allegedly compelled security agencies to compromise distribution of election materials in over 15 states. The coalition,in a statement, Saturday morning, by its spokesman, Ikenga Ugochinyere, in reaction to the election postponement, hailed the Chairman of INEC,Prof. Mahmood Yakubu for displaying the courage.

“INEC chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, has shown courage by shifting the election to avert national bloodshed because we are aware that APC wanted to proceed with election after compromising distribution and destroying materials in over 15 states. Peace Accord: Allow votes to count, Atiku tells Buhari “We blame the international embarrassment this last minute postponement has caused the nation on the President, the desperate leaders of his party, APC, and the nation’s security agencies who failed woefully in their duties to protect electoral materials and INEC offices from attacks by these enemies of the nation,”it said.

The Coalition “called on the security forces to sit up and ensure that these enemies of democracy are not allowed to have their ways again.” We make bold to say that with the postponement, President Buhari’s judgement day with the people has just been shifted,”it added.

The statement read in full:”The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, believes strongly that the desperation of President Muhammadu Buhari and his men to win the presidential election by all means caused this last minute postponement of the election. “In their bid to once again foist an unpopular government on Nigerians, they threw caution to the winds and started setting electoral materials on fire in states that are well known to be strongholds of opposition.

“These acts of sabotage, no doubt, ruined the preparations of the Independent National Electoral Commission for the elections. “We have raised the alarm many times that agents of the government were working hard to ensure that elections are not held or are declared inconclusive in areas they know that the All Progressives Congress will never win. We have been vindicated.

“We blame the international embarrassment this last minute postponement has caused the nation on the President, the desperate leaders of his party, APC, and the nation’s security agencies who failed woefully in their duties to protect electoral materials and INEC offices from attacks by these enemies of the nation.

Have you any record of South east doing political rally before? They don't do rally, they only attend your rally if you bring it to them.

Has PDP held any rally in the south east?

All these excuses are not making sense to me. I'm tilting towards Atiku candidacy. But something is just not right with that region's lackluster support, except maybe online. We just have to objectively admit that the level of mobilization for AtikuObi even in Obi's Anambra state is mediocre at best. Igbos are holding roadshows in Peckham for Atiku, but can't take the initiative to organize a solidarity rally for him in Anambra at Nnewi township stadium? Talk something else abeg.

Better to strike on the D day.

Really? But the same SE people held frenzied rallies in support of Nnamdi Kanu in the heydays of his agitation for Biafra, are you saying those people were all jobless? Come on. A lot of traders were willing to down their tools to show solidarity for Nnamdi Kanu simply because they believed in his vision and agitation. Are you saying that Igbos/SE don't find Peter Obi's candidacy inspiring enough to atleast organize solidarity rallies in support of his ambition? You lots have more to gain if AtikuObi wins the presidency. Your simplistic rationalization doesn't make sense.

I am observing a worrying trend in both regions in respect of the upcoming presidential elections. Why aren't we seeing solidarity rallies in support of Atiku/Obi in both the SE/SS, as we have been seeing in the North and SW for Buhari/Osinbajo? I feel the PDP SE governors and political establishment are not doing enough nor showing enough enthusiasm towards the ATikuObi ticket and this I find very worrying. What is going on out there?

Atiku messed up. Atiku should have realized that among the illiterates, almajiris etc, he is no match to Buhari who they almost see as a god. I sincerely thought that he would have used the opportunity of the presidential debate to consolidate his hold among the enlightened ones, but unfortunately, he simply played into APC hands. What a shame. I am totally disappointed in his absence.

I am with you on this. He could have used this debate opportunity to convince undecided Nigerians on why he is a better alternative. We have heard Peter Obi, this would have been a great opportunity to hear him out also. undecided
