RomanceRe: 10 Proven Signs That A Lady Ain't Interested In You. by Wislet(f): 10:47am On Jan 02, 2014
''she never wants to get intimate with you''.
ARE YOU HER HUSBAND?

How would you like to have a daughter and a randy boy wants to sleep with her? Will you approve of that? Why would you then want to sleep with a woman that is not yours?

Go and marry if that is soo important to you!

What is happening with the men of nowadays? No proper upbringing. Sleeeping around with women and telling them stories later? People sleeping around and calling it 'relationship'.

Go and get married, and develop some decorum while at it.
PhonesRe: MTN Customer Care Agents Are [Incompetent] (Complaints) by Wislet(f): 11:16am On Dec 31, 2013
alcuin: They are just bunch of id.iots.
Just fews days I called them to inquire abt smartphone data plans and prices. The first cc agent told me it was 260mb for 1k, she even sent me the shortcodes for activation. When I activated, I saw 160mb. I called back again to complain why i didn't see 260mb, the second cc agent told me its not 260mb but 100mb, I told her I got 160mb, she was confused and she said the extra 60mb was bonus. She even said the first cc agent is wrong and that the 260mb is data cap....I asked her when what she meant, she just ended the call. I was like "how the hell will cc agents not know about the company's services?"

Airtel's own is worst. They will just tell you that the application to access your problem is currently being upgraded so call back later. Call them in the next two months, you will hear the same line.

In fact, all of dem dey craze....
why are MTN data plans sooooo small?

100/160/260mb for #1000?

When Airtel gives 2GB for #1,500?

Wow.

I don't subscribe for their data plans anymore....that's a rip-off.

Who is this OP really?

Sometimes I think this person just writes things to get people to comment.

At one time u had sexkillz's signature, then u deleted it wen I saw that, some time ago ur account was deactivated which made ur moniker unclickable.

One moment u sound and post like u're a guy, now u're female.

Hmmmm. Carry on anyway. Not gonna spoil ur hustle.

I am a realist.

OP: The ladies in the house are cheering you on. Go ahead and do it. You think marriage is a joke.

A trial will convince you. Of all the millions of succulent babes in Nigeria, na dead wood you wan go carry.

On reading some of the ladies' posts here, i. reminds me of a popular Igbo adage, "nwoke nwanyi na afuru oja na eji azu ukwu amaba be ndi mmuo"(a man who dances to the melodious tunes of women's flute always ends up with the dead). That is to say, thread carefully on women's flattery.

Cave ne sedes. Caveat emptor!

\
the reasoning of some 'human beings' can be appalling.

Somebody calls a fellow man like himself 'dead wood' just because she is in her 30s...or what?

Seriously? U need help.
FamilyRe: Getting Married To Your Age mate by Wislet(f): 8:51pm On Dec 29, 2013
claremont: @OP: Scientific research (widely published online) has proven beyond reasonable doubt that there is a dramatic decline in female fertility after she has attained the age of 27 and onwards. A woman is at her most fertile period between the age of 19 and 26; her chances of conceiving drops to 50% when she reaches 27 years of age, and drops even further for every year she adds on. In addition, the chances of infertility increases for a female from the age of 27.

The bottom line is that males should strive to marry younger females (i.e. females below 27 years of age) in order to maximize their chances of having children. Avoid old cargoes!

P.S: Data is derived from http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-112136/The-female-fertility-clock-starts-ticking-27.html

What you put so much of your faith in will work for you.

If scientists rule your life and your thinking, then it will be so for you. Stop trying to get others to think for you.

What of women in their 40s conceive much quicker than their much younger counterparts? Can science explain that for you?

Some people breathe, eat, sleep and live science.

FamilyRe: What Makes A Mariage Work ? by Wislet(f): 10:37am On Dec 29, 2013
Matthew briggs: Thanks for your contribution.

Moreover this is what i told him. I said.
Love is needed for marriage to take place in the first place but for it to work it take commiment. reason been that.

>>Love is not a enough. You can love some one so much and still cheat, hurt the person, quarell and do nasty things.
>> Also love sometimes can fade away when we get lazy and fail to do the work needed to make the mariage work... hence the need for commiment.

Commimemnt means knowing that I love this person, we shall face challenges, but I will do my best and work hard to make this work, for better for worse.

I told him love brings commiment but what sustains commiment is commiment. When love is weak commitment can hold the marriage.

comiment is a concious decision not an emotional decision.

...
I beg to contradict here.

You CANNOT 'Love' someone and still cheat on them or cause them hurt.

We attribute 'love' to the flutter of the heart- that fluttery feeling we get ehen we think of/remember that person. That is NOT love. Love is far deeper than that.

Read how the BIBLE defines Love. Now, that is what Love IS.

You cannot practice those and cheat on a person, treat them bad, etc.

We need to understand and know what the word means in the first place.

And NO, LOVE NEVER DIMINISHES OVER TIME.

Has Christ's love for you ever diminished in spite of the imperfect man you are??

Bottomline: let us all first of all UNDERSTAND what Love means. It is not a flutter of the heart- that is farthest from the meaning.

RomanceRe: Humility: The Lost Female Art by Wislet(f): 8:39am On Dec 27, 2013
TDN: I'm just not sure we like that word SUBMIT. Sorry it gives me chills. On the other hand, let both of us agree we are equal for peace to reign. Times have changed, you guys should try to evolve. Why insist on living in the past.

Its very simple. Women can literally do anything you can and more, is it logical to ask that we call you master. Battle of the sexes will go on and on until men realise that women are human beings too. Why won't you accept that we simply can't comprehend submission and the question we should be asking is how do we relate to each other knowing the status quo has changed.
YOU DO NOT LIKE THE WORD 'SUBMIT' WHICH THE BIBLE INSTRUCTED WOMEN TO DO TOWARD YOUR HUSBANDS.?

Are you a christian??

Why do you find the word ambiguous? Are you perchance, stiffnecked?

CAN TWO CAPTAINS DRIVE A SHIP? Or you want to drag the headship of the home with your husband?

Submission does not mean slavery. If you do not know the meaning, do a search. It does not mean your husband should oppress you/relegate you to the gutter(MEN TAKE NOTE TOO). If any man has such a mentality, then it is unfortunate and he should discard such.

But, some women have not said EXACTLY what they fear in men that gets them aggressive any time they hear 'submit'.

Negative experiences in past relationships could cause that, broken homes, homes where the mother is beaten/maltreated and children relegated to the background, etc....these can result in the bitter feelings some women have toward men.

Men, please learn to treat your women with love. Treat them as you would love your own self to be treated by someone else. Love them as Christ commanded you 'AS HE LOVED HIS CHURCH THAT HE GAVE UP HIS LIFE FOR IT'.

You know how much love one will have for someone that he will be very willing to give up his life for it? That is EXACTLY how much you SHOULD and MUST love your wife!

This will go a long way in preventing a lot of these aggession exhibited by young women today. When children witness their mothers being maltreated, especially the girls amongst them, this is the result. If it's the boys, some copy that and think that is how they should treat women, and the bad cycle continues!

Married people get the family front right! You have a lot to teach and do. You are not hidden. Children are watching you!

Submit accrding to Oxford goes,''To accept the Authority, control or superior strength of sb/sth; to yield to sb/sth''.

If you notice, that is how the church sees Christ. We submit to His authority and control and yield to Him because of His superior strength, we rely on His strength. That is as it should be. When a woman removes every pride and treats her husband even half the way she would treat Christ himself, I think a lot of things will be remedied. When with your husband, ask yourself, ''If this was Christ standing before me, how would I talk to/treat Him?''. Same way treat your husbands.

As for the men, the love of Christ for His church is one devoid of oppresion. HE, in spite of being who He is says,''come, let us reason together''. Do you see your wife as someone whose opinion should not be sought in decision making?
Christ endured mockery, pain and insults from the people He came to save, and saved us in spite of all that. How many of us slap our wives the slightest provocation?
etc.
Should you as mere man do any less?

Take a deep breath, smile, before you go further. The thread is taking a funny turn.

@topic, from my observation of comments, it seems some people are expecting some sort of 'award' or 'recognition' from nairaland before they feel good about themselves.

If otherwise, I do not understand why the omission of some names will make anyone ask why their names aren't mentioned, dispute or talk negatively about the thread and the OP, and make snide remarks which belies their hope of mention.
i must admit I understand why you would feel overlooked, but hey, it's just nairaland.
If you are busy offline/ satisfied in yourself with who you are, and come to nairaland just to have fun and learn from the array of educative topics, I do not think you would bother about nairaland stoking your pride or fuelling your self esteem.
When I saw the topic, i almost did not click on it because i saw it as one of those funny but interesting 'ratings' we are used to, I did not think i would be mentioned there, that when i later did, i was surprised to see it there.

Another observation is that we seem to have this 'list' (unchanging) of people we see as making sense which doesn't change from year to year...we do not care to observe (new/already existing)monikers who might be worthy of note. We only choose those who post all the time, are loud, our friends or generally try to 'please' people with their posts. There are many others who might not be so popular but whose comments are remarkable.

This is this OP's view as he has already stated, which i think we should respect since different people MUST have different views on any issue(s). If you think yours is better, you could create your thread. I think that would be better.

Bottomline: do not take nairaland too seriously. It's just an anonymous site. No one knows who you are- be content you know yourself better, unless you are looking for praise to fill some gaps. Why you should come here is to learn from people's experiences, offer your advice to those who ask for it, view any job opportunities and challenge yourself intellectually with a number of threads available here.... and not to be recognized. If perchance you are eventually, you take it in stride.

@DN, thanks for the mention..was a surprise. Never thought my posting to have fun was being marked by anyone.

Merry Christmas everyone. God bless you this yuletide.

Let us stop celebrating incompetence.

I can't believe some people here can't take criticism and grow. I hope it's not the Nollywood people that are replying with the ''Go and produce your own movies'', etc. It would be most unfortunate because it would show you are truly non professionals and are not ready to grow.
