Adelabu has excelled as Minister of power by delivering greater and more reliable power supply to Nigerians. I wish him the best because, with success in the power sector, he has proven he is a solutions provider who can improve Oyo. |
crossfm:Lol. This one is lost. They are talking of Oyo State and he is mentioning Ogun State ignorant!y. Anything to attack "ndi Yoruba" na.. Not so? |
Sheuns:You're talking nonsense as usual. SmartPolician is 100% correct that, as obtains in virtually all nations of the world, those who wish to be top executive leaders of democratic nations need to have requisite experience that confirms they can lead nations, for example, to go to war as Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine had to do. What is this Mr.Eazi's qualifying experience for such a a crucially important position? His music career? Marriage to Otedola's daughter? Nigeria is in danger with you 'anything goes' Nigerians who would even back Davido, Obi Cubana, basketmouth, VDM , Deji Adeyanju or Wizkid etal to be President because they are famous, visible and say what you wish to hear. |
DeepSight:You claim I am to Tinubu what Daniel Kanu was to Abacha.. I.e a propagandist for the Government in power. Since this topic is about the claim of genocide against Christians, that Tinubu has correctly denied, it appears you are saying the right wing extremists, messing up America currently and alienating the USA from the rest of the world, are right with their claim of "Christian genocide in Nigeria". Meaning Tinubu and Nigerians like me are wrong saying this is a crude joke carried too far by the USA that does not understand it cannot diagnose a headache for Nigeria that Nigerians are not feeling. Moslems are factually the biggest victims and fatalities of Boko Haram and bandits violence in Nigeria. Our problem remains greed for control of the centre Northern leaders are willing to sacrifice millions of their people for. These are human beings of flesh and blood they have never elevated, educated optimally or empowered yet consider dispensable in their quest to always control the presidency directly (1) with a Fulani as President or (2) with a weak and controllable Southern stooge in power like GEJ. Our biggest problem in Nigeria today, proven beyond any shadow of doubt, is related to (1) Fulani expansionist and murderous land grab agenda in States and regions of others and (2) the desperation of Fulanis to control the purse and "juiciest" parastatals of the Nigerian federal government. It is as simple as that. The USA, under Trump and his band of white supremacists and Christian bigots, just wants to use lies and propaganda to make Nigeria collateral damage in their attempt to precipitate the rebirth of America as a Christian Nation with white privilege that will be viewed as justified and acceptable . They need to use Nigeria as a scaremongering tool to frighten and manipulate Americans, with a majority clueless about events outside the USA, to accept all the human rights abuses they are perpetrating in the name of deporting and repelling the "Jihadists who want to forcefully Islamize America". |
DeepSight:Why do you always ignore established facts and proven realities? Please, who are the biggest victims of Boko Haram and bandits? Boko Haram just made over 5,000 people, from a town in Borno, flee into Cameroon. With the population of Moslems in Borno being 70 to 80%, we are to believe the majority of over 5000 Borno residents who fled to Cameroon, in fear of execution by Boko Haram, are Christians? You need to start thinking like a rational and objectively intelligent adult. https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/thousands-flee-cameroon-boko-haram-seizes-nigerian-border-town-2025-10-03/

Kushites:Bro, they are jokers. Boko Haram was hijacked by politicans for personal gains and banditry was entirely man-made sabotage, by influential individuals, towards the actualisation of political agendas. It was never and is still not about any deliberate plan to 'cull' Christians. Even a fool knows the biggest proof is how sophisticated weapons keep flowing into Nigeria showing complicity at the highest level of our armed and border control forces. This is about struggle for political dominance and the slush fund to be gained from large federal government allocations to fight insurgency and insecurity many have now realised they must keep alive and menacing so the money keeps flowing. |
Timmi:Lol. Association of Displaced Crooks is more like it in my opinion. Goodluck to Tunde Bakare. Let him join them asap. |
helinues:True. Yet it is understandable her parents are distraught. Their precious daughter is gone and they will reflect on what may have been had she remained in the UK. Yet, many young, proud, ambitious and very intelligent Nigerians, born or raised in the diaspora, are becoming increasingly drawn towards relocating to Africa. They feel, in Africa, their skillset and talent could be better utilised to create important and transformational things for their nations and continent of origin. I think she returned to play her part, patriotically, towards Nigeria's growth and development. Bless her and may God comfort her parents and loved ones. “She completed her studies in the United Kingdom and worked there for two years. Then, she announced her decision to return to Nigeria. Her father protested, asking what she hoped to achieve back home. But she was steadfast, insisting that she must come back. She told her father that she was coming home to make Nigeria work. That was her conviction. While many were fleeing the country, those already abroad with foreign passports and citizenship, Somtochukwu chose to return and serve her fatherland. It was a bold, selfless stand that defined her spirit.” |
LordBiden:Wrong and callous to say she took her own life. The only valid explanation for a young, successful and soon-to-be-married lady to jump from that balcony is sheer panic and fear for her life that made her believe she must jump, to have a chance of surviving, or be shot dead. Likely she heard gunshot and screams already and that heightened her panic. Sad and tragic event. May she rest in peace. |
Mrexcell:There is no "immorality" being defended. You only percieve that because you are completely entrenched in how Nigerians blindly and unquestioningly adopt outside influence and then unintelligently stay years behind those nations who gave you those influences failing to evolve or modernise what you were given to suit your peculiar African reality. Whereas those nations, like the UK that gave Nigeria Christianity through the missionaries, saw the need to evolve those influences you adopted, be they political or religious for example, to keep up with how the world has also evolved. Those who gave you Christianity, to now see you lot pretending to be more Catholic than the Pope, understand that some ideas from 2000 years ago are hard to validate today or, per religion, even preach to congregations in their different Church. You should tell me, for all your decades of carrying old and pretentious puritanical version of Christianity on your head like a tray of Gala, when such is merely crude prosperity preaching in disguise, whether Nigeria is even 5% as Godly, charitable to its most poor, as Jesus showed is sacrosanct, or as decent as the UK that gave you Christianity. Tha lady is not indecently dressed. Nigeria is not the only devout Christian nation of the world. In fact, the practice of Christianity in Nigeria is a shame to Christianity because it focuses on the wrong things entirely and warps the essential doctrine of Christianity. Do you never wonder why, for a continent with many in extreme poverty, Christianity in many African nations remains mainly about miracles and prosperity preaching but never about charity and certainly not about being your brother's keeper to the extent every one of us should insist Christianity should make it an obligation for the rich to uplift their fellow citizens and nations? How many wealthy Christians in Nigeria do you see delivering great and life-changing acts of charity as witnessed with Christians in the West you lot view yourselves better Christians than? Yet you lot come here spitting fire and brimstone over a perfectly decent dress worn by a pastor on her bday. You people's own version of Christianity is to talk the talk but never walk the walk as others do worldwide. What a joke.. https://www.quora.com/Must-Christianity-change-or-die-And-how-so?ch=10&oid=13344177&share=0d5b80ba&srid=wSmO7&target_type=question

Riskymarvelous:You cannot deceive intelligent, knowledgeable and informed Nigerians because we live in an information age where the most detailed and narrative-changing information is available to humanity in seconds with many even using such to get rich and succeed. It can be shown, with a decent degree of accuracy given the facts, Atiku is only present in Nigeria today because Tinubu, a Southerner he feels is inferior to him as a Fulani born-to-rule hegemonist, is President. His belief is that Tinubu should not be there and he must have that seat as Fulanis are "superior" to all other Nigerians. Hence the reason he enjoyed his stay in Dubai jejeli for the 8 years PMB was President and declared a moratorium against criticising Buhari, his fellow Fulani, for those 8 years whereas he has now fully bared his fangs, 24/7, against Tinubu. A Southerners and non-Fulani. Can anyone intelligent and rational attribute Atiku's dedicatedly focused and non-stop attack against Tinubu, he conspicuously spared Buhari, to his love of Nigeria considering, in one of our most trying times, he kept silent while Fulani herdsmen menace was causing mayhem across Southern Nigeria to force SW Governors into brutish delivery of Amotekun? When Malami, former AGF, and another Fulani supremacist, tried to prevent the birth of Amotekun, did Atiku speak up against Malami and the Buhari Givernment then to support an effort of SW leaders to protect the lives and property of their people as a true pan-Nigerian and detribalised statesman would? Yorubas are not an emotional people. We work things out , after careful consideration of facts before us, and prove our point to the extent that dispassionately objective folks, including non-Nigerians, can look at those facts to note, in minutes, we are always supportive of what is best for Nigeria and Nigerians. The facts and realities related to Nigeria proves that. We are not perfect, since no human being is, but we are patriotic, progressive and mean well for Nigeria. This always leads us to do the right things by her more than any of the other major ethnic groups of Nigeria i.e Igbos, Hausas and Fulanis.

@Topic. Atiku realises most Nigerians are low-hanging fruits, to be plucked without effort, and this is why he continues to assault them with his insensitive talk. Tinubu has never abandoned Nigeria. During Covid-19 devastation, Tinubu was donating and advising the Buhari Government what to do to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians. Where was Atiku then? At the heights of Fulani herdsmen menace, Tinubu came out to speak truth to power (the Buhari Fulani cabal) that open grazing was "no longer tenable" and suggested Fulani herdsmen must be assisted to transition towards Ranch cattle farming which would see them stay within designated areas to raise cattle as that would stop the herders-farmers clash causing so much deaths and misery for Nigeria. Where was Atiku then? Now, same Atiku who is always MIA (missing in action) in far away Dubai in the past, indifferent to Nigeria's woes, wants to present himself as "most caring" messiah saviour of our nation? The worst thing that will befall Nigeria is for Atiku to become President in 2027. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thewhistler.ng/convert-unused-public-land-into-ranches-to-resolve-herdsmen-farmers-crisis-tinubu/amp/

Mitsurugi:Is he a political leader or demanding to be President of Nigeria every election year for the past 18 years or so? If Ttalk is paying his taxes and observing his civic duty to Nigeria then that is all that is demanded of a private citizens of Nigerian, very different to those who want to be public administrators, to show Nigeria is "gaining" from Ttalk. Whether you like it or not, reasonable and progressive people will ask, validly, why a leader who wants to be President of Nigeria lives away from same nation, and says/does nothing when Nigeria is most troubled, and needs her 'champions' to speak/act for her, to then show up in election years to demand we make him President. What Atiku chooses to do with his free time in years when their is no Presidential election, i.e live in Dubai totally disconnected from the problems of Nigeria and Nigerians, is 100% conclusive proof that Atiku does not care about Nigeria or Nigerians and only wants "President of Nigeria" on his CV for posterity. |
autoez:Well-said. How should Tinubu look when he is biologically an old man? Like Idris Elba or Dwayne Johnson aka the Rock? Bro, it shows you are actually dealing with kids here whether 16 or 60 years old. Social media is a magnet for immature, unreasonable and mischief-making malcontents. It has now given them the platform to use disturbing us with their troubled thoughts that is a product of their troubled lives and existence. I don't need Tinubu to look great. I need him to lead Nigeria to greatness. |
AMINDA:Something is wrong with you. Am I trying to "fool" anyone or is it that I am balanced, objective, upright and can still be a completely normal human being when it appears that is more than can be said for you? So Tinubu no longer has the right to extol the virtues of the deceased at a Private funeral that has nothing to do with Nigeria's insecurity challenges? His time at the funeral, out of respect for the deceased and her mourners, is of course separated from events outside the funeral Service. Normal people would get that because death will happen to us all and our loved ones. Your desperation, on behalf of your beloved Atiku, is too much and too distatefully nauseating. You don't even appreciate how you sound. I.e like someone who has totally 'lost it'. Paying tribute to the late Lydia Yilwatda, Tinubu described her as a devout woman of faith, service, and sacrifice, while offering prayers for her eternal rest. |
AMINDA:You may be decent at rabble rousing, packaged for gullible and ignorant Nigerians, but your capacity for reading and comprehending is poor. Fulani expansionist agenda we all now know is real and supported by Fulani political, religious and cultural leaders, is different to "genocide against Christians". Seunmsg is talking about Fulani expansionism knowledgeable Nigerians know is being prosecuted for many desperate reasons to include desertification. No greater proof you are deliberately deploying deception pushing the "genocide against Christians" narrative than how bandits and Boko Haram kill and kidnap all Nigerians, Moslem or Christians, indiscriminately. The more than 5000 Nigerians forced to flee the town of Kirawa in Borno State recently, because of Boko Haram, are Christians? People like you are worse than the worst Politicians because you know the truth yet come here to be the voice of deception trying to fool and confuse other Nigerians so that your heroes profit electorally. Your heroes being same people who are covert sponsors and abettors of insecurity in the desperate quest to aid their people's expansionist agenda and seize power from a Southern President because they understand ultimate executive powers will help them achieve their 'goals' quicker. https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/thousands-flee-cameroon-boko-haram-seizes-nigerian-border-town-2025-10-03/

FarahAideed:Learn to put things in context. He was speaking anecdotally to attendees at the the funeral of the Mother of current APC national chairman. Should he start talking about terrorism, banditry and kidnapping at a private funeral ceremony? |
WaleBuraimoh:So? Why don't you go and see the comments of her friends, family and even Christian affiliate who know her well such as the complementary one beneath her picture below? You guys are all judgemental fundamentalists and ectremists who cannot live and let live and are more interested in sounding or appearing pious than actually being pious in deeds and character. It is the reason Nigeria, touted arguably the most religious nation in the world, is Ungodly and the opposite of what a land that God lives in should be and exemplify.
|
zoedew:Lol. As I have said previously, most of you Nigerians Christians only know how to talk the talk yet you can never walk the walk. What are you doing, with the bolded, if not judging the lady and your fellow Nairalander that Jesus directly and explicitly speaks against in Matthew 7:1? You are a perfect example of why Christianity, as practised in Nigeria by most Pastors and your churchgoer sort, is not delivering the Godly, progressive, charitable and humane nation Nigeria should be for her over-relogiosity. Given that we are one of the most religiously Christian nation of of the world ,with literally ten church or more per most street, yet Nigeria is does not exemplify Christian virtues and is actually more an example of a devilish nation it appears God has deserted and even avoids..
|
Dee60:Don't mind them. Their minds, as you suggest is in the gutters because it should not, and would never be as high as 50% of men who would say her dress is indecent if they are exposed, knowledgeable about womens fashion (from being proper and balanced men who have had long term relationship with women, married and generally interact well with the opposite sex) and can actually think logically. Let's drop personalised opinion and do the science. What makes her dress indecent? Can anyone come and prove , with sound logic, that her dress is indecent? Let's inspect the facts logically. Dress is long-sleeved, therefore not even likely to offend the most devout Christian, and has high neck line therefore not revealing cleavage. Dress is tastefully full length, so not showing legs nor upper thighs as a dress above the knee may reveal. Dress is lined underneath so no nipple, navel, buttocks or underwear visible that would indicate deliberate effort to be overtly sexy and provocative. What then exactly is 'offensive aboit the dress if Nigerians are a people able to rise above personal prejudice and bias to submit themselves to the facts of an argument? |
Druss:Your talk just confirm most of you are patently judgmental and never read what others write, to become fully informed, before speaking. How many times has it been said on this thread that that is a private photoshoot picture for her 40th bday? Why would she wear a glamorous dress, best suited for a Nollywood award Night, to be preaching, as a Pastor, at the pulpit? Has she ever worn similar, of the many images and videos that exist of her preaching, for you to even hypothesise as above with the bolded? Below are three videos of her preaching. I can supply twenty more right now. Yet you are all here ignorantly assassinating her character over a dress, that is is actually decent, she wore for her own private bday photoshoot. This thread confirms most of you are happy to operate with lynch-mob mentality, prejudice, total disregard for facts/reality and have no interested in personal development and evolving as human beings. Nigerians, with how many perversely wallow in ignorance and backwardness plus revel in doing wrong to/by others, are the problem of Nigeria. Not leaders alone. Leaders, because they are each and every one of you, only do to you what you do to each other and will surely repeat against ordinary Nigerians if in leadership positions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3f4NJyC627k?si=dDB8w1tUrxVYVhRh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hobK7C-W_S0?si=q-kDjHXhEbHnsLkR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxGtc2as_-A?si=w8u-ejBxwtp4ueu8 |
WesleyPepper:My bad. They all live and breathe deception so well, to the extent it is second nature to them, it becomes hard to tell who is sincere or not on NL. That is another point of my posts here. Is it LagosOrigin, Aka SadWaste and PrinceOfLagos, calling someone a "stripper" who is an example of Christian virtues here or even human decency? Lies shamelessly, dishonourable, proudly fraudulent by nature, peddles hate and bigotry 24/7, discriminate against others on account of their ethnic origin etc, etc. Yet he is hypocritically calling someone he does not know a "stripper"? Nigerians are something else. |
arantess:Oga, take your hypocrisy elsewhere. I have seen Christians worldwide. You Nigerians are worst when it comes to personal behaviour matching how God decree a Christian should live via his ten commandment. If most of you so-called devoted Christians from Pastor to congregation members, actually walked the walk of Christianity, rather than talking the talk hypocritically alone, then Nigeria and the largely Christian South would be much better than it is today. That is fact 100%. Go and preach to the unexposed and gullible Nigerians tithing Pastor Suleman etal into hideous wealth and opulence. |
OKOATA:Lol. Is anything I typed a lie or wrong? You nko? Do you have a job? Let me guess. You are a Pastor of a church named something like "Holy miracle and fulfilment Ministry of Christ" or "Mountains of Miracle and achievement Church". Nigeria is the way it is because of people like you. |
ACRI:Absolutely. They are hypocrites and Nigeria is failing because Nigerians ,largely, are a people who are deceptive and hardly ever sincere. |
OKOATA:Go and sit down somewhere. You think it is only your take and opinion on issues that matter? Is Nigeria better than Sweden, Finland, Germany, UK etal where they are moderate in their Christian worship, and realise, naturally and in moving with the times, that Christianity has to come into modernity? Contrast with Nigeria where you fundamentalist Christians have your most prominent practitioners and faces of Christianity (i.e Pastors, political leaders etal) being monstrous examples of what Christianity should never be about. You people are shameless and you don't work with reality. It is why Christianity has become a tool for scamming poor and ordinary folks in Nigeria, so Pastors and religious leaders can be hideously rich, hence the reason every Tom, D.1ck and Harry wants to be a "Pastor ". Wheareas Christianity remains largely a medium of spiritual development, charity and goodwill towards others and, most importantly, establishing a good and devoted relationship with God who mandates us to live by his ten commandments whereas most Nigerians, including you, never do. Keep fooling yourself. The proof of how Nigerians are practising Christianity wrong is the ungodly, troubld and poverty-ridden nation we have you hypocrites find convenient to heap all blame for on Tinubu and political leaders. Not your Pastors who are much worse and never live/lead by Christian example. |
MadamExcellency:Lol. Her appearance is "evil" to who? You and your fellow Christian fundamentalists and hypocrites? This is how you lot are more Catholic than the Pope, ostensibly and publicly , yet Nigeria is drowning in sin, evil, bigotry, wickedness against themselves, immorality, unchristian-like materialism Pastors are most guilty of and general lack of Godliness while you are bashing the bible and quoting scriptures up and down. We have streets that have more church than houses in Nigeria yet nations where they are religiously moderate are far better developed and treat their people far better than Nigerian leaders, fervent and vocal church goers, and pastors do. Covid-19 lockdown. Pastors globally were donating food, shelter and personal money to care for their congregation. Yours were asking their congregation to tithe by bank transfer since they could not attend church to do so physically. Yet they are best at quoting scripture and sounding Messianic, like Pastor Suleman, whereas their personal conduct pays homage to ungodly hedonism and materialism. Una no dey shame. You can only bamboozle unexposed people, not me, with the fake and insincere brand of Christianity on show in Nigeria where pastors, "pastorpreneurs" in reality, live in garish opulence and own very expensive univerisites in a poverty-stricken nation yet still extorting poor Nigerians through collection of non-negotiable tithes and 'donations'. |
OKOATA:What's not cool about the dress below worn at a private photoshoot celebrating her own bday? As I said before, some of you may be fifty or sixty but you are kids in terms of knowing women, regardless of their occupation, and being able to treat them with grace and dignity. Long-sleeved, full-length and with lining underneath is not cool how? Something women have been wearing since 1860 even? She is a pastor, and so? Is any of her body part, underneath the dress, visible to you? Do you know anything of her private life to confirm she is not decent or virtuous as you are insinuating here. Most of you are just unreasonable hypocrites and misogynists who belong in Somalia. Abeg go and sit down with your taliban mentality leave the woman be.
|
sreamsense:Don't let these people drag you into dirty mud that is their own natural best habitat. She wore the dress for a private photoshoot for her 40th bday. The only issues with wearing that dress in public would be that it would be too glamorous, and suited to a Nollywood award night for example, than walking around Shoprite. From decent dressing perspective, nothing wrong with it at all. Long-sleeved, full-length and with a body coloured lining beneath as even our mothers use with their lace and iro outfit. She is a decent women who was brough up well, as those familiar with her mother and family can confirm, and dresses as seen below normally and daily when not glamming up for a bday photoshoot as is normal and allowed.
|
OneCandleAway:Check his past post, and that of his other aliases here to include SadWaste and PrinceOfLagos, to note no day goes by he does not ungraciously attack the SW region or Yoruba people. This is someone of Imo State origin yet living in Lagos. |
