But he is right.... They are the most tribalistic people ever known in Nigeria
Who cares what you think? Simply stay away from us as we stay away from you. Na by force?

Nothing more sad and pathetic than a people with no pride who continue to claim, of over 400 ethnic group, Yorubas are tribalistic, evil , wicked etc but won't stay away from same Yorubas and their land because of food and sustenance they are looking for.

Show pride and stay away from Yorubas. All this gaslighting is stale and done. Nigerians know who the most tribalistic, two-faced and deceitful people are.

They are also the biggest menace to the nation, inside and outside our country, to boot.

Looks 💯% legit claim. Equipment arrived already. Governor Diri set to be a legend if this is achieved and all evidence seem to confirm the project will succeed. Kudos to Bayelsa.

Wonderful for achievers, with their transformational leadership, to expose indolent and inept leaders to scrutiny. Good for Nigeria.

Oke Ero LG debunks viral query letter, calls it fake
By

…says no staff was slapped or humiliated

…launches investigation into alleged assault

The Oke Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State has dismissed reports that it issued a query letter to one of its staff, describing the claim as false and misleading.

In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Council, Hon. Femi Arekujaye, the local government distanced itself from a document circulating in the public domain, purportedly issued to a staff member, Nurse Rufus Favour Mojisola, on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Hon. James Abiodun Fadipe.

According to the Council, the alleged query letter bore no reference number, date, or official stamp, and contained “vocabulary that could only be linked to an uneducated individual who hardly passed through a primary school.”

The statement stressed that no such query originated from the council.

“The public is advised to disregard the alleged query and unfounded claims by the nursing sister in question. Nobody forced her to kneel down, nor did anyone slap her,” the statement read.

Do you know the meaning of 8 million? That is more than the population of Ibadan Ogbomosho and Ilorin put together. What job is 8 million Igbos doing in Yoruba land? Outside Lagos Igbos are probably not up to 500k in Yoruba land. Then just liker there are jobs dominated by Igbos here Yorubas also dominate some jobs in the East. Therefore Yorubas are numerous in the East. They are only quiet. Do you know the number of Yoruba women married in the east? Civil servants and etc?
Oga, go and argue with Igbos themselves who say, below, they are more than 5 million in the SW with majority of them even bragging they are more populous than Yorubas in Lagos of circa 23 million people.

As I said , I am a generous man, so 8 million is in order as a top figure for them in the SW considering they themselves claim to be more than that in the region.

400k for where? I lived in Enugu before and I can tell you that the number of Yorubas, you will find there will not be up to 4,000. In the entire SE, they are not up to 10,000. A number that you will find in just 1 local govt in Ekiti state.
Lol. Well-said bro but let it not be said I am not a generous man. This is why I erred on the kpata kpata uppermost figure of 400k, when I know it is likely under 100k, to shame them considering they are no less than 8 million in the SW meaning Yoruba land is their second most populous home in the world aside their native SE.

Yet they continue to lie to the world ungraciously we "hate" them, are demolishing their properties, are "envious" of them, "plotting evil" for them and are their "real and biggest enemies in the world" ( check their comments here) simply because we do not allow them dominate our socio-economic reality in our own ancestral land.

Amen. It has become increasingly clear to many of us that important decisions regarding our collective future have already been made. As a people, we are now more focused, intentional, and unified in protecting our interests and values.

While we have historically extended a hand of friendship and openness to others, we've come to realize that it's time to reassess certain approaches — particularly those where our goodwill may have been misunderstood or taken for granted. This reflection has led us to adopt a more strategic mindset moving forward.

We believe in peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among all ethnic groups, but we also acknowledge the need to safeguard our heritage and territory. In light of current realities, new policies have been carefully crafted to ensure this — though their full implementation is being approached with caution and wisdom, especially given the current national leadership.

This is not about hostility, but about clarity, boundaries, and protecting the dignity of our people. The future will speak for itself.
God bless you. When Yorubas begin moving decisively and deliberately, for the purpose of self-preservation and the legacy we wish to pass on to our generations unborn, it is this very people who will regret their ways and how they have alway taken our kindness for weakness, and proclaimed our Liberal empowerment of others in our land as they can/will never offer in their region, as "lack of ambition" .

They will realise, after Yorubas become fully protectionist and Conservative, the heavy socio-economic cost of their ingratitude and penchant for denigrating and ridiculing their host as we are seeing already after the deteriorating of relations post 2023 election.

You will hardly find a single one of them with anything good to say about Yorubas despite the fact we are their most benevolent host on God's Earth. Yorubas, to include even the most Liberal, are beginning to see we are living with enemies-within.

Many Yorubas now see they are a people obsessed with an agenda of hostile takeover against us in our land hence the reason for their ingratitude and constant denigration of us whereas over 200 other ethnic groups of Nigeria in the SW never badmouth or curse their Yoruba hosts.

Same as Yorubas are never ungracious to their host whether they are in SE Nigeria, Ghana, London, Canada etal. We are more deliberately conscious and methodical now.

Propaganda on steroids. The number of Yoruba in Enugu is far less than you will find in small street in Akure. Very few and insignificant.
Precisely. That's why I said earlier they are trying to use one individual to claim credential they have never merited or exemplified as a people.

Even in the whole SE, how many Yorubas are permanently domiciled there? 400k max being generous?

Yet how many Igbos in the SW thriving, buying properties, running successful businesses etc unimpeded? At least 8 million.

Which sane person, from any nation of the world at all, will you put these facts before and they will agree Yorubas are the "unaccomodating tribalist", as Igbos are desperate to claim, because of the anecdotal testimony of one individual.

Are they not the same ethnic group where an Igbo elder proudly proclaimed they do not sell land to outsiders meaning they want no equitable assimilation of non-Igbos in the SE?

A joke thread to be honest but I am not surprised considering it is about the champions of victimhood and hypocrisy.

Hmm I decided to reply your comment even though it was made in response to another user so as to raise certain points you are missing regarding Sowore. The appropriate way to describe Sowore is to say that he us a force who's time is yet to come because one must not be active in politics to become president as has been proven before, a perfect example is the current US president. Sowore has on several occasions made it clear why he does not want any other political office besides the president because he sees his mission of helping to save Nigeria as been a revolutionary one which he believes can be achieved through leading country. It is left for Nigerians to choose if they want to try outsider or keep recycling their political oppressors every 4 years who are only interested in looting the country. In my opinion, Sowore has demonstrated genuine consistency in the fight against bad governance and corruption. If Nigerians can allow a shady character like Tinubu who is glaringly going to be remembered as the worst president to serve then I see no reason why Sowore does not deserves a chance.
You are saying all this, especially the bolded, yet there is no place in your thinking to accommodate reality that illustrates Sowore is regressing in the eyes of the electorate polling 34k votes in 2019 and 14k votes in 2023. 20k less.

The Tiuubu you malign began his political career by making his name progressively. He was not a divisive character fighting everyone and everything to a standstill.

Tunji-Oji and Bosun Tidjani etal are doing well. They are in their forties while Sowore is in his fifties. They have gained positive visibilty and a firm foothold in Nigerian politics working and delivering under Tinubu. They are ready to move on to bigger and better.

Whereas Sowore will wear Babalawo outfit to court to be shouting free Nnamdi Kanu, who is on trail for a serious criminal offence, sending the message to Nigerians he is lawless.

Commonsense, because he has none, does not tell Sowore it is a turn-off to an electorate to see a Presidential candidate showing disdain for a competent Nigerian court of law.

Next minute same Sowore is fighting every single political leader, declaring them worthless and him alone saintly.

When do you think the "time will come" for such a character to ever be President? Who exactly will vote for Sowore?

The 20 year old who views Sowore with amusement because they constantly see him acting immaturely and unseriously in ways they, half his age, would not do?

If he is do certain that the government are illegally demolishing an acclaimed illegal structures he could have well go and fight the government on behalf of the owner rather than displaying crass and ignorance on social media that is another form of high level of nuisances
Well-said and the crux of the matter. Do things the right way and follow legal provisions 100% and things will be fine.

lets be honest with ourselves, fact is that most Nigerians are lawless people who want to profit from lawlessness yet are quick to play victim when things go wrong.

The awareness he is creating is an achievement. The citizens of the country will now know the big thieves in government.
Lol. What "awareness"? The one that saw him poll circa 34k votes in 2019 and then less than half of that, i.e 14k votes, in 2023?

Does that reality not show you he is not creating any awareness and is rather constituting himself into a nuisance and turn off to the Nigerian electorate?

OP has explained the Nigerian reality you and Sowore do not wish to accept. Same Nairaland we saw some defending Emefiele robustly ans insisting he is being set up because he is their kinsman.

Did Obidients not insult Sowore when he turned his beam on Obi?

If Sowore really wants to make a difference it won't be with his redundant message to Nigerians who, as OP said, are patently prejudiced and only see wrongdoing and corruption of others. Never their own.

Sowore should adopt moderation and pragmatism, win a political position and show what he can do from that point on and from the inside.

That is how it is done for those serious about making Nigeria better through political participation. Rolling around with policemen on the floor at airport road is not the way. It only confirms Sowore is immature and an attention-seeker with nothing to offer.

This is why his votes keep diminishing every election.
2027 I expect him to get 2k votes or less.
Politics › Re: Why Sowore Is Just Wasting His Energy by WizardOfNG:
The fact is that Sowore's fans are impractical people and rebels without a cause. There is nowhere for Sowore to go in Nigerian politics.

Polling 14k at his second outing in 2023, worse than his 2019 outing when he received 34k votes, while the cowardly, dull and incompetent Obi received several million votes in his first attempt to be President, shows a sane person that Nigerians do not consider Sowore leadership material..

Most people fail in life because they can't accept/work with reality. When a 21 year old voter sees Sowore, above 50, dragging with Nigerian policemen uncouthly on Lagos Street how will he be interested in voting such a character who seems way less mature and sensible than him?

Aside attacking everyone over corruption, like a broken record, has anyone got any video of Sowore talking eloquently and strategically about solutions to Nigeria's problem?

It is the fans of Sowore, a glorified agbero in reality, I feel sorry for.

Probably push the angle he is a paid propagandists and hatchet man for hire. Unfortunately, ,no profit for them as Sowore is unlikely to ever gain political office in Nigeria.

Those fighting someone like Sowore will likely lose because Sowore has nothing to protect really. i think he even knows he has no hope of a political career in Nigeria and is just happy to be a nuisance to anyone and everyone.

Recently he has dragged Tinubu, Obi, Wike and so many others. A man doing that, leaving himself without allies and clearly unfancied by the Nigerian electorate going by his last two attempts to be President, is a loose cannon.

Those getting in the mud with Sowore will lose IMO.

Grammar is no proof of wisdom or even intellect. Content is and you don't get the content of my talk.

It isn't the Nigerian Government celebrating them. Certainly not the Tinubu-led FG that would not want this for Nigeria if it had it's way. Nor Southern Governors I am sure are silently aghast and watching with displeasure.

Whether you know it or not, Southerners did well exposing the hypocrisy of the North over the Katsina peace talk with bandits to the extent the Katsina Government had to issue a statement saying it was "community leaders" who brokered the deal with the bandit and not the State government thus dissociation the office of the Governor with the so called peace talk.

What many have not thought about is the fact that the North, to include their cultural and religious leaders, is saying to the rest of us, by always negotiating with bandits, that we should butt out and accept that they have effectively created a nation with two separate penal codes. One for them another for the rest of Nigeria.

We also saw Gumi brazenly warn our armed forces not to "provoke" bandits after the so called peace talk yet bandits are still attacking Army bases and killing soldiers relentlessly.

The substantive point is that Southerners should be wise and agitate for the right things in the right way. Especially Igbos..This is not a victim lamentation or gra gra issue. It is one needing clear-eyed and steely pragmatism to allow discernment of the way out.

Conventional fight will not end this. No need to say more than that because some issues are not for public consumption.

Good luck to you and others who cannot see what is most crucial and central to all this.
